so this morning my sister and I took the kids in to the studio….fun! Before we even begin, my sister is getting herself all stressed out. I told her to relax, not to start with that yet…she says, “you don’t know what kind of a morning I had”. I look at her and say, “really?” all I could think was, she had both her and darren getting her kids ready, I had just me….my sister is funny sometimes.

It was interesting, but I have to say, I love my blue couch. Now, the photo I’m posting probably isn’t the best one (don’t worry Erica, there are ones with all of them looking) but I just grabbed one while the kids were eating lunch to put it up. I will be going through them tonight and picking out favorites to post. But I know Erica will want to see one this afternoon…

Now, the one with the feet, we’re going to have to do again. We did this at the end, and we had already lost the kids attention, and kaleb and nicholas had had enough. We put them on their bellies, cause the younger ones didn’t grasp the concept of pointing their toes up to the ceiling, so this way you could see their names better. However, I think their names have to be written on both feet, because if you look at how gracie had her feet, you can’t see her name (uncle darren had said hi to her and this made her cry so she wouldn’t listen at all). So Erica, we’re doing this one again, maybe next week, cause I do love the concept and would love it for my wall.

Sarah turned three weeks the day she came for her photography session. She was supposed to come sooner, but had a dose of jaundice and had to go back to the hospital, not that you would know it, her skin was beautiful during her photoshoot! I was very worried it was going to be a hard session with her being three weeks, but once I got her asleep, she let me do quite a bit with her. And I think she’s going to have two protectors when she gets a bit older, her twin brothers were very sweet towards her. This session was a lot of fun and we got some cute little squished photos with those big cheeks!

The other evening we went out and did David and Rosie’s engagement photos….they are finally getting married! They are very outdoorsie (is that a word?) and love nature, so we went to a place with an awesome view. Before we left their home though, we made sure to include their baby, Kona…and he loved the attention being all on him

sometimes i come across a photo that i can say ‘that’s how i feel right now!’ i saw this one, and thought, yep, today this is how i feel! it is my first day off (well, I have an engagement shoot at 4:30) since getting back on the 8th, and i think i needed it. after leaving the house yesterday at 8am, and returning at 9:30pm, i just wanted to grab all of my children up in my arms and hold them tight. but i wasn’t about to wake them up out of bed, so instead i snuggled with kaleb. today we had a nice fun day with my sister and my nieces playing outside. and once the kids got off for their naps, i felt like this photo…but had to get some work done! which reminds me, there will be limited space available for Christmas photos. This is the time that everyone wants to update their family photos to send out in cards. I will have some packages available soon that include cards etc. and will be announcing when the times will be available to book. I will be having surgery this fall which will put me off for a little bit, so don’t wait to book your times! I will also be having a few more mini session with some AWESOME new backdrops I got, so keep watch for that announcement as well. Lots to get crammed in before Christmas!

The Cecchetto family came in to get their family photo updated. Nicholas was very quiet, and preferred climbing on daddy, and Alixandria was content to be held by mommy. I don’t know why, but I love the photo of the two of them laying on the ground, how they’re touching but are a bit turned away. It makes you think if this is what it will be like when they’re older Here’s a sneak peak…

One of my very close friends, Sarah, had her baby girl and brought her in for photos. I am so happy for Rich and Sarah to be parents! I figured Claire was going to another little feisty girl, but she was very well behaved, well, for most of it. When she first got there, she got undressed and stayed asleep. I had my blanket all ready, put her on it and in moments, she pooped….and a good sized one. As I was cleaning her up, she pooped once again. I couldn’t help but laugh, it’s been awhile since this has happened. Of course Sarah was apologetic, but I told her it comes with the job. So, that blanket was pulled out, didn’t even get one shot with it! Changed blankets, got a couple shots in, and she pooped again but this blanket was longer, and where she pooped, I was able to flip it around so the poopy area was clipped up on my background stand, out of the way. She was then a good girl and let me do a good amount of photos. I really do love my job. And I am loving all of the newborns I’ve been getting, but this shoot was just a bit more special for me, since it was with my friends. Thanks Rich and Sarah for letting me photograph Claire, I love her already! And thanks for lunch!

How do I pick a favorite from this session? I can’t. Lauchlan was such a good man for me today, unlike the feisty little girls I’ve been having! Mom would feed him and we’d wait 5 minutes, then I’d get to play for awhile. When he’d start to stir, mom would feed him, we’d wait a few minutes, and then I would start again. I could take him home with me, not problem. And those lips!! How don’t you want to kiss them. When I asked if dad would take his shirt off for some photos, I got the big sigh and “I don’t really want to”. Mom and I looked at each other, and he was told by mom it was time to take off the shirt I love how he looks like a little football in his dads arms. Here’s a sneak peak…
