<p>Here&#8217;s a hypnosis session to help you lose weight in 2023, and you can use it right now. Just follow along with the sound of my voice. Close your eyes, or defocus them and use your peripheral vision. Relax your face, relax your shoulders, relax your chest, and relax your stomach. Now take a deep breath in, slowly let it out. Take another deep breath in, and slowly let it out. Now bring your awareness down to your stomach, and relax your stomach muscles. Let them relax completely and totally. Let any tension that you find melt away as you relax your stomach, and feel that relaxation move up into your chest. Relax in the chest muscles, feel your chest open and expand as you feel that relaxation move deep into your lungs, into your heart. Feel that relaxation continue to move up into your shoulders, relaxing the shoulder muscles. Feel it move up into your neck, up into your ears, and down into your jaw, completely relaxing the jaw muscles. Let them go, let any tension just melt away, and feel that relaxation move over your lips, up into your nose. So that with each and every breath you take, you begin to relax even deeper than before. Now feel that relaxation begin to move up into your eyes, and your eyelids. Completely relaxing the eye muscles. Feel the relaxation wash over your eyes, and enjoy that feeling. And then imagine that feeling of relaxation beginning to move up into your eyebrows, up into your forehead, down over your face, so that all the muscles of your face are completely and totally relaxed. </p>



<p>Now, from this place, I want you to connect to this feeling, this feeling of physical relaxation, emotional calm, and mental quiet. Because it&#8217;s from this place that if you quiet even more and listen, you can begin to notice that there is a part of you that is thin and healthy. And this is the part of you that is going to express itself fully this year, starting now. So that you naturally and automatically begin to make choices that allow you to slim down on near autopilot. And you can imagine that you wake up tomorrow morning in your dream body at your goal weight. And I want you to connect with that feeling. I want you to imagine before you even open your eyes, you can feel yourself in your new body. And you may feel a smile begin to form on your face as you feel this body, and you feel yourself hop out of bed and go about your morning, getting dressed in the exact outfit you would wear for this body. And I want you to notice the subtle pleasure of getting dressed at this weight in this body, has this version of you. As you allow yourself to become this version of you, you can imagine yourself moving through your day, feeling good about your body, how you feel, how you look. Feeling healthier, feeling energized, noticing how much easier it is to move, how much more comfortable you are in your body, how much better you feel carrying less weight around. </p>



<p>And you can move through your day, noticing the interactions that you have with people, the way that you hold yourself, the way that you move, the subtle little things that go with living at that weight. You can become aware of now, and allow all of that awareness to seep deep into your mind and your body, so that every cell of your being begins to resonate with this weight, with this lifestyle, and with being this version of you, the version of you that is healthy and happy, and in control of your weight. So you can live at the exact weight to make sure the happiest and the healthiest, and gives you the best quality of life. </p>



<p>And the more you connect to this feeling, the easier it is to eat the right foods, to eat the right amounts, and to do the right things that give you the exact body that you desire. And it can happen on near autopilot, the more you feel this way, because the more connected you get to this feeling right now, the more your body and subconscious mind want to feel this. And so this is your secret weapon for losing weight in 2023: to connect to this feeling, to allow yourself to bask in this feeling of being healthy, of being alive, of feeling good about yourself. Because the more you feel this, the easier it is to choose the right foods and to choose the right behaviors that allow your dream weight to become a reality for you. So take a moment and allow this feeling and this awareness to sink into every cell of your being. </p>



<p>And now, I&#8217;m going to count from one to five, and when I say five, you&#8217;ll be fully awake, completely rested and refreshed. Number one, slowly, easily returning to your full awareness once again. Number two, each muscle, nerve in your body is loose, limp, and relaxed. You feel wonderfully good. Number three, from head to toe, you feel amazing in every way. On the number four, you&#8217;ve come aware of the room that you&#8217;re in, in the body that you&#8217;re breathing into. And on the next memory, I count, eyes open, fully awake, completely rested and refreshed. Number five, eyes open, take a deep breath in, and have a great day.</p>

<p>Losing weight is often seen as a superficial goal, something we do to look better in a bathing suit or to fit smaller dress sizes. In reality, our weight is a matter of life and death, literally. The renowned <a rel="noreferrer noopener" href="https://www.framinghamheartstudy.org/fhs-about/" data-type="URL" data-id="https://www.framinghamheartstudy.org/fhs-about/" target="_blank">Framingham Heart Study</a> has shown that overweight people lose around three years of their lives and obese people as much as seven years. This means that the impact of obesity on our life expectancy is significant and should not be underestimated.</p>



<p>It&#8217;s easy to get caught up in societal pressures to be slim and prioritize looks over health, but it&#8217;s important to remember that our weight affects much more than our looks. It can have serious consequences for our overall health and well-being. Obesity is linked to a number of serious health conditions, including heart disease, stroke, diabetes and even certain types of cancer. Not only do these diseases shorten our life expectancy, they also reduce the quality of the years we have left.</p>



<p>It&#8217;s time to rethink the way we think about weight loss. Instead of just focusing on looks, let&#8217;s see it as a way to improve our health and prolong our lives. Nobody wants to give up those precious last years of life, and we must do everything we can to live long and healthy lives.</p>



<p>That doesn&#8217;t mean we can&#8217;t keep striving to look better; there&#8217;s nothing wrong with wanting to feel confident. However, it is important to keep the big picture in mind and prioritize our health above all else. Viewing weight loss as a matter of life and death makes it easier for us to make the necessary lifestyle changes and stay motivated to maintain a healthy weight.</p>



<p>So the next time you think about starting a weight loss plan, think of the big picture. It&#8217;s not just about how you look, it&#8217;s also about improving your health, extending your life expectancy and improving the quality of your remaining years. When you view your weight as a matter of life and death, you will be more willing to make the changes that really matter and maintain a healthy lifestyle.</p>

And you can use it right now; just follow along with the sound of my voice, close your eyes, or at least defocus them, and use your peripheral vision, relax your face, relax your shoulders, relax your chest and relax your stomach. Take a deep breath in, and slowly let it out. Take another deep breath in, and slowly let it out. Now bring your attention down to your stomach and relax your stomach muscles. Any tension that you find allowed to melt away as this relaxation spreads throughout your stomach area. Relaxing all the muscles all the organs in that area and feel that relaxation move up into your chest? Relaxing your chest muscles feel your chest open and expand as that relaxation moves deep into your lungs and into your heart feel that relaxation continue to move up into your neck up into your ears and down into your jaw, relax the jaw muscles completely and totally and feel that relaxation move over your lips up into your nose so that with each and every breath you take, You begin to relax even deeper than before. </p>



<p>Now feel that relaxation move up into your eyes and your eyelids relax. Those eye muscles feel that relaxation wash over all those muscles and enjoy that feeling, as that relaxation continues to move up into your eyebrows up into your forehead and down over your face, so that all the muscles of the face completely and totally relax now notice. This feeling this feeling of physical relaxation of mental quiet and emotional calm, because it’s from this place that your eating is going to transform so that you’re able to enjoy the holidays more than you have in a long time, while simultaneously eating in a way that allows you to lose weight naturally and automatically, because when you feel the way you feel right now you naturally and automatically make better food choices. You relax your body and boost your metabolism as you relax and calm down, you’re able to make better choices easily and naturally healthier foods. Look more appealing to you when you begin to eat them in moderation, so you feel satisfied and comfortable while simultaneously losing weight without even realizing it and, as you begin to slim down each and every day, you begin to feel better and better about yourself, and it happens automatically and naturally – and this is a month where you really enjoy everything you have in your life, you begin to take stock of all the wonderful things that are happening for you, things that you’re grateful for things that you’re happy about and as you allow yourself to bask in those feelings of gratitude of happiness of joy, it becomes easier and easier to choose the right foods because you fulfill yourself emotionally with a real, genuine emotion. You feel happier you begin to look on the bright side of things and that allows you to naturally make healthier food choices and to live in a way where your body begins to burn any excess fat, naturally and automatically. </p>

Feel your chest open and expand as that relaxation moves deep into those muscles and moves deep into your lungs, into your heart. Everything relaxing and letting go. Feel that relaxation continue to move up into your shoulder muscles and feel those shoulder muscles just relaxing and letting go and how nice that feels. And imagine the relaxation moving up into your neck up into your ears and down into your jaw. Relax in the jaw muscles completely and totally feeling that relaxation move your lips up into your nose. So with each and every breath you take, you begin to relax even deeper. And now feel that relaxation up in your eyes and your eyelids, completely and totally relaxing those eye muscles. Just let them go, those little muscles. Take a break and just relax completely and totally and feel the relaxation up into your eyebrows, up into your forehead, and down over your face so that all the muscles of your face just completely and totally relax and let go. </p>



<p>And now you can notice how much better it feels to relax your body to bring your awareness inside and to feel your mind quiet down so you can program your subconscious mind to make you lose weight in the month of November, comfortably and easily. And your subconscious mind does this in a number of ways. First, you realize that Thanksgiving is only one day and that November is as good a month as any for you to begin to slim down and move towards your goal weight. And you can feel your motivation increase to do the things you need to do in order to lose the weight that you want to lose. And you quickly get rid of any candy from Halloween, and you get yourself back on track so that you can achieve the success that you want to experience. So you can experience the true Joy of living in a body that you absolutely love and it feels amazing. So as Thanksgiving approaches, you can imagine yourself being five to ten pounds lighter comfortably and easily and how nice that would feel to walk into Thanksgiving five to ten pounds lighter simply because you naturally and automatically begin to make different food choices. Different lifestyle choices, as you feel your motivation increasing to want to eat the right foods that slim you down to feel more satisfied with the foods that you eat. So it becomes a regular thing that there&#8217;s extra food left over and you&#8217;re completely and totally comfortable with that. You feel satisfied and comfortable, and you begin to see yourself slim down As you move towards your goal weight and it feels so nice to do something different with a level of motivation, that&#8217;s even greater than what you feel at any other time during the year. It&#8217;S the perfect month for you to move towards your weight loss goals to move towards that goal. Weight. That&#8217;S so exciting for you to live at and to make the choices that make that happen naturally and automatically drinking more water. Moving more getting the sleep you need and eating the foods in the way you need to. In order for your body to naturally and comfortably slim down and as your subconscious mind imagines you five to ten pounds lighter, you begin to feel an intense motivation, building a desire to do the things that help you to slim down and you feel how exciting that Is feel yourself moving towards your goal: weight each and every month of the year, but especially in November, a special gift. You give to yourself this month to naturally and easily do the right things that slim you down and now I&#8217;m going to count from one to five and when I say five you&#8217;ll be fully away completely refreshed and relaxed number one slowly easily. </p>



<p>Returning to your full awareness once again, number two, each muscle nerve in your body, is loose, limp and will actually feel wonderfully good number three from head to toe. You feel amazing in every way, on the number four you come away, the room that you&#8217;re in and the body that you&#8217;re breathing into and on the next number I count eyes open, fully way, completely rested and refreshed number five eyes open. <p>there's one big trick that they use over</p>
<p>and over again that once you see it it</p>
<p>can really help you make better food</p>
<p>choices and it's actually a trick that</p>
<p>magicians use it's misdirection and just</p>
<p>like a magician is able to perform their</p>
<p>tricks by getting your attention over</p>
<p>here while they perform the trick over</p>
<p>here the food manufacturers do the exact</p>
<p>same thing but they do it by hyping up</p>
<p>one big thing on the front of their</p>
<p>packages and so you'll notice this next</p>
<p>time you walk into the supermart you're</p>
<p>gonna see this it's on almost every</p>
<p>package brand new flavor um healthier</p>
<p>new recipe</p>
<p>reduced carbs</p>
<p>it doesn't matter it's almost limitless</p>
<p>what they can hype up but the purpose of</p>
<p>that is that it kind of bypasses our</p>
<p>analytical mind and goes right to our</p>
<p>emotional mind and you know if we're</p>
<p>working on eating better</p>
<p>that little thing can nudge us to make</p>
<p>the wrong choice because that one big</p>
<p>thing on the front of the package kind</p>
<p>of overwhelms us to not think about the</p>
<p>big picture what we're doing so the way</p>
<p>around this is to first of all recognize</p>
<p>this is going on see it in the</p>
<p>supermarket look around and notice how</p>
<p>they're trying to get you to focus on</p>
<p>one thing while they deliver you a whole</p>
<p>bunch of other stuff and again they</p>
<p>could say new healthier recipe right</p>
<p>they could put that on a pine bed and</p>
<p>jerry's if they wanted to they could put</p>
<p>half a gram less of sugar in it and then</p>
<p>call it a new healthier recipe you see</p>
<p>so they can do this with literally</p>
<p>anything there's almost no rules to it</p>
<p>there's no rationality to it but when we</p>
<p>see that and we're kind of on the fence</p>
<p>oh do i want to get the ice cream or not</p>
<p>then we see new healthier recipe it's a</p>
<p>lot easier for us ah you know what's</p>
<p>healthier</p>
<p>it's actually healthy for me it's</p>
<p>healthy ice cream and so you know again</p>
<p>it doesn't make sense logically but</p>
<p>that's not where we're making our</p>
<p>decisions from we're making very</p>
<p>emotional decisions typically and the</p>
<p>manufacturers and marketers know this</p>
<p>and so they really highlight one big</p>
<p>healthy thing</p>
<p>to try and overwhelm us the way around</p>
<p>this one of the easiest ways and a</p>
<p>couple ways the easiest way is to not</p>
<p>look at the front of the bag it's to</p>
<p>start training yourself to look at the</p>
<p>back of the bag look at the ingredients</p>
<p>right look at the nutritional</p>
<p>information that's a much more accurate</p>
<p>view now i know that's not as fun right</p>
<p>that's another you know aspect of the</p>
<p>market we'll get into another video but</p>
<p>um if you can start to truly see what</p>
<p>you're putting into your body if you can</p>
<p>start making your decisions more</p>
<p>rational logical based you're naturally</p>
<p>going to make better healthier choices</p>
<p>day in and day out okay so that's your</p>
<p>job here next time you go to the</p>
<p>supermarket look for this one big thing</p>
<p>that they're putting in front of your</p>
<p>face and see through it be the person</p>
<p>who can see through that trick to see</p>

<p>Sleep impacts how your body functions physically, mentally <br />and emotionally and has dramatic effects on your ability to lose weight.</p>
<p>In the book "Why We Sleep" by Matthew Waker he describes an experiment <br />where they took healthy people and compared how they ate when <br />given 8 hours of sleep a night vs. 4-5 hours. </p>
<p>What they found out was shocking. When sleep deprived the participants ate <br />an average of 300 more calories a day compared to when they were fully rested. </p>
<p>There are 3 key reasons this happens when sleep deprived...</p>
<p>First, your body produces more Ghrelin, which is the hormone your<br />body releases to signal you to eat, making you hungrier. </p>
<p>Second, your body produces less Leptin, the hormone that lets <br />your body know you've eaten enough, keeping you hungry. </p>
<p>Finally, the Amygdala (a part of your brain responsible for strong emotions such as anger)<br />showed a 60% amplification in emotional reactivity, leading to more emotional eating.</p>
<p>All of these things make it more difficult for you to lose weight. </p>
<p>But, if you get the proper amount of sleep, your body begins supporting you, making it easier.</p>

<p>let's talk about you for a second0:02specifically let's talk about your0:03self-image because your self-image is0:06the mental representation that you have0:08of yourself and it's critical in0:11deriving your behavior and so if you0:14want to change something in your life0:16I think it's really important to reflect0:18on the self image that you all to0:19yourself and the new one that you want0:22to cultivate because if you don't a lot0:25of times it becomes a source of sabotage0:27me give you an example that I mean just0:29so often I working people are they have0:32lost weight in the past until I asked0:34Miffy know we lost the weight but then0:36you put it back on you know what0:37happened and very often I'll hear0:39something to the effect of like just0:41didn't feel like myself and this is0:44really a perfect example of what it's0:46like when you dont cultivate a new0:48self-image to go along with your new0:50behaviors in your new results in a lot0:52of times this is what creates that0:54feeling of attention within you or that0:56feeling the rebellion rebellious miss0:58that a lot of people on diets feel they1:00know they want to lose weight they feel1:01is some part of them that is driving in1:04the wrong direction and so a lot of1:06times that your old self image if you1:08define yourself as say an overeater it's1:12very difficult to define yourself that1:13way and then all the sudden start acting1:15totally different going to create the1:17tension and usually the cell phone is1:20ultimately going to win so what do you1:22do the things that to remember first1:24office that so often the self-image we1:26hold of ourselves is not something that1:28we sat down and designed intentionally1:30it's something that we just kind of you1:33know except absorbed from different1:36experiences we had environment have been1:37people we know and so it's important to1:40stand it no matter what self-image you1:42all to yourself1:43you were always more than that you're1:45always more than that self-image you1:47hold so for example we go to someone who1:49define themselves as an overeater maybe1:51they are having eat over even the past1:54but they're much more than that in1:55certain other areas of life guarantee1:57they have willpower they have control1:58they have the ability to manage2:00themselves and so if they have that2:03ability in other areas they are not just2:05you know an overeater that's just one2:08behavior they have2:09and so you do not want to find yourself2:10that way and so when I first began2:13working with people when people go2:15through my program we always start with2:17beginning to find a self image that you2:19want to have2:20ok so we don't be fantastical great so2:23it's not like myself and with all the2:26mother and the seven-foot basketball2:27player2:28I'm not we want to keep an idealistic2:30though what use the ideal version of you2:33right you as you know yourself as a2:35person what's that ideal version you2:38again if I may overreach sometimes but2:41then other situations that a lot of2:43control you know they have a lot of big2:45ability to get themselves to take action2:47so we want to utilize that we want to2:49pay attention that and bring that into a2:52new self-image and cultivate who we want2:55to be as much as we are just trying to2:58change what were behaving that what2:59we're doing okay and i think this is the3:02missing piece a lot of people's people3:05questioned change is they're just trying3:07to force themselves to add a new way3:08it's obvious you suggest that you do3:10both at the same time3:12yeah change your behaviour for sure i'll3:14be at the same time begin to think about3:16the person you want to be right how you3:18want to find yourself right who you are3:21because again you you're much more than3:23you divide that we're all more than we'd3:25find ourselves at the odd mark on3:27quality than just that and um again that3:31the thing understands that self-images3:32their global that we have kind of just3:34global general ideas ourselves and then3:36we have specific self-images in specific3:39situations and so we want to pay3:41attention to those so what I would3:43suggest to you is whatever area of your3:45life you'd like to make some changes and3:47start by understanding what tell him to3:50hold yourself right what you believe3:51about yourself in that area then ask the3:54question where that believe come from3:55either well-founded it's just some idea3:59you you picked up along the way is it4:01something you picked up because you have4:0312 experiences4:04hey and then begin defining to yourself4:07who do you want to be anyone's cell4:09phone if you want to have how do you4:11want to find yourself and begin to craft4:14and cultivate the the person who you4:15want to be and again from the inside out4:18as well as from outside4:19you want you want to affect both at the4:21same time ok so so think about that a4:24little time to reflect on it and I think4:26you'll find that it's a worthwhile4:27exercise to do okay to do that4:32[Music]</p>
