The Toyota FT-86 is one of the many Toyota cars, but is the sports car of Toyota. It was actually birthed out of a relationship between Toyota and Subaru and has been in the works for some time. They first debuted a small number of design hints at the 2007 Detroit Auto Show. It has taken a while to reach this point, but many sports car fans are eagerly awaiting its arrival.

The name, FT-86, is actually a throwback to the Toyota Corolla AE-86 of the 1980’s. Consequently the FT now stands for Future Toyota. It is a sleek sports car that is full of Toyota emotion. In a speech to the media in Japan, the race driver Akio Toyoda explained that the Toyota brand planned to put a great amount of effort into the building of ‘more emotional cars’ from now on. In fact, the FT-86 and the Lexus LFA are just two in the beginning of a long line of much sportier Toyota cars.

The Toyota FT-86 is a rear wheel drive vehicle with an extremely light body. Its compact body design and low center of gravity gives way to race-like handling while giving the driver a great amount of control. It has a flashy red exterior which catches any car lover’s eye. Also, the interior is minimally covered giving it quite the modern feel. Probably one of the most fun attributes of this sports car is its three-spoke steering wheel that features a flat bottom. And even though it is a six speed, manual sports car, it is designed to seat five – pretty unusual for a sports car.

The Toyota FT-86 is an excellent bounce-back model since the discontinuing of the Supra, MR2, as well as, the Celica. So be prepared, sports car enthusiasts, it’s going to be a glorious ride.

There are different ways that the process works. Sometimes the lender sends out the title to the buyer a few weeks after the car is paid off. You may have to contact the seller’s lender in advance to find out what they need to transfer title.

There are online services such as my title transfer.com that can help you to follow the correct protocol to make sure that there are no problems in getting your registration changed over into your name after you purchase a car with a lien on the title.

Here are the basic steps involved in transferring a title with a lien;

Get the name of the lien holder of the title and inquire about the total amount due in order to get the lien released. Contact the lien holder to verify the payoff and any other stipulations to transfer title

Pay off the balance of the lien or if you are financing the vehicle through your bank, inform the bank of the lien including the name of lien holder along with the amount owed.

Pay for the car and get a bill of sale. You and your seller should both sign the bill of sale and date it, and preferably have it notarized

Wait for the vehicle’s title after you have paid the lien off. Take your title and bill of sale to the Department of Motor Vehicles office to register the car in your name. You will need your identification, appropriate title transfer fees and proof of insurance. A new title in your name will be mailed to you

If you are trying to decide which car is best for you, there are many online sources that can help, from mini quizzes that test your needs, wants and priorities, to many car blogs and articles that will give you a wealth of information about the pros and cons of different makes and models. But all of the information on the internet can sometimes seem like sensory overload, its easy to get overwhelmed with information and simply give up.

Here are some tips that can help you get started in the process of selecting the best car for you, from here you can research more models, features and options.

First of all ask yourself what your main priorities are, do you mostly want a lot of space for your kids, or is it more important to save gas and have economical transportation? Is the vehicle going to be used for work, or for personal use only? What type of car do you see yourself in, in other words what type of image do you have of yourself driving your new car. For some consumers driving a new, safe vehicle is important, others are free spirited and love the ride of a car that really handles well. Will you be driving the kids to the grocery store, or taking long road trips on outdoor excursions?

One way to help identify the best vehicle for you is to think about your current automobile and identify its shortcomings, what are the things that don’t work for you, is the trunk too small, are you always short on passenger or cargo space-consider a cross-over or a minivan. Do you find yourself filling your car up with gas frequently-maybe you need to consider an economy car or a hybrid.

Whatever your selection is for a new car, Spirit Toyota has what you are looking for, visit our St. Louis Location and test drive a new or used Toyota today.

Toyota received 10 initial quality awards from JD Power in 2009 for Lexus, and has historically held very high ratings in Consumer Reports for offering some of the most reliable vehicles on the market today.

According to Kelley Blue Book’s executive market analyst, the current problem is not with the Toyota product, it is with the way consumers see Toyota or as James Bell puts it: “an image problem.”

Consumer reports will resume recommending the vehicles that were recalled just as soon as all of the repairs are done, so in the mean time lower prices result from cars sitting on the lot can be taken advantage of by savvy consumers who do their research and realize that Toyota will soon make a come-back and these low prices are temporary.

According to Kelly Blue Book it is predicted that the Prius will be selling for about $1,000-$1,500 off of the sticker price, including the Prius’s that were not even effected by recalls.

Good will incentives are also beginning to surface on all Toyota models, some experts say that depending on the model, Toyota vehicle’s value has decreased as much as 4.5%, so that could end up getting you the deal of a lifetime on a new Toyota if you buy now.

If you already own a Toyota it is recommended to hold off on trading it until the market levels out to avoid taking a loss, because the value has most likely temporarily dropped as low as 10%.

There are many reasons for license revocations and even more guidelines and standards that must be met in order to achieve reinstatement. Of course, reinstatement requirements will vary from state to state.

There are many reasons you can find yourself with a suspended license, such as, street racing, failure to maintain insurance, failure to properly secure a child, accumulation of demerit points, and of course, driving under the influence. If you happen to be a minor and are found guilty of an offense resulting in suspension, you will have your license issuance delayed.

If your license revocation happens to be a fluke event and you have no past negative driving history, you may be eligible for application for Limited Driving Privileges (LDP.) This is a reinstatement of driving privileges for work or other matters that require some sort of driving.
In order to fully reinstate your license and return to driving you will have to adhere to the suspension and reinstatement guidelines. This will depend on where you reside so be mindful of what is required for your specific case. If, for instance, your license revocation is due to a failure to spear in court, most often the filings for that court appearance would have to be cleared prior to you being eligible for reinstatement.

If you are waiting to find out when your license will be reinstated, don’t look for something from your local DMV. You should have been notified of a reinstatement date at the same time you were notified of the revocation.

Once you have cleared your suspension period and are confident that you have met the reinstatement guidelines, go down to your nearest St. Louis Toyota dealer and give yourself a clean start with a new or used Toyota car or truck.

Most Americans are still being quite mindful of how they are spending their hard earned money despite the economic turnaround. Many of us are finding frugal ways to save at the grocery store, as well as taking into account any unnecessary spending. It is actually effective to practice certain techniques to reduce the amount you spend on fuel for your vehicle. If you purchased a new Toyota from Jim Lynch’s Toyota dealer in St. Louis, Missouri, your vehicle already gets great gas mileage. There are still ways to save at the pump, though.

First, make sure you are using the correct fuel grade when filling your tank. If your vehicle calls for a regular grade fuel, using premium grade offers you no added benefits. Use the regular grade and save some cash. If you are unsure what your vehicle requirements are, check the owner’s manual. Also, don’t waste the time and cents when you “top off” your vehicle. Do a little bit of research and determine which fuel station has the best prices for a good quality fuel. Compare, shop, and save.

Make sure, when you are driving, you are being smart about the number of trips you make, ways to consolidate trips, and even ways to eliminate any unnecessary trips. Weigh the pros and cons before you even leave the house. It may be a good idea to check into the option of public transportation for some or all of your traveling needs.

Make sure your vehicle is up to date on all maintenance needs. A properly maintained vehicle will retain its efficiency. If you are a bit behind on regular maintenance, schedule it now. Something, as small as, your tires not being properly inflated, or aligned, will negatively affect your fuel efficiency.

It goes without saying that proper driving technique will also increase your fuel efficiency. Following the speed limit and decreasing wind resistance while driving, will do wonders for your efficiency.

Toyota Motor Sales recently made a generous donation to aid in the efforts of the Progressive Agriculture Safety Day Program. Toyota donated a 2010 Toyota Tundra to the organization. The main function of the donation will be to transport the Foundation staff and their supplies to a number of training events to take place across the Midwest.

“Toyota and Progressive Ag Foundation share a similar philosophy about the importance of educating the entire family about safety awareness. We are privileged to support the expansion of the Progressive Ag Safety Day Programs as they reach more communities than ever before,” says Michael Rouse, TMS vice president of philanthropy and community affairs. Toyota is a premier sponsor of the Progressive Agriculture Foundation and also provides funding for roadway safety education.

As of the current calendar for 2010, the Progressive Agriculture Safety Day Program is on track to hold 385 Safety Day events. They promote farm safety and healthy processes through age appropriate educational programs and resources to communities.

The designated driver of the donated 2010 Tundra is expected to travel upwards of 12,000 miles each year. The truck is the official replacement of the latter Chevy Astro which was donated in 2001.

“The van served us well, but it was worn out. The Tundra is a wonderful replacement, and with the long box and bed cover, we actually can haul more, larger props and displays than we could with the van,” says Geschke. “We no longer will have to rent a vehicle to transport our large displays to events such as the Farm Progress Show and Husker Harvest Days.

“The Toyota Tundra is a safe, reliable, first-class vehicle, and we greatly appreciate Toyota generously supporting our program with this practical and much-needed vehicle donation,” Geschke continues. “In addition, Performance Toyota of Omaha, Neb., took delivery of the truck, and the dealership was extremely accommodating in getting the truck ready to go.”

Toyota is a trusted manufacturing company of several Toyota cars and trucks sharing much of the same vision as programs such as, the Progressive Agriculture Safety Day Program.

The Toyota Sienna It was voted by consumer search.com the second best mini-van on the market in 2009 with the most powerful engine and best cargo room in its class. It is one of the only mini-vans on the market today that has AWD, which makes a big difference in getting traction for winter driving. The optional 8 person seating gained points for the Toyota, as did the refined ride, comfortable interior, and as Toyota is known for; the reliability (which in my book ranks number one). After all if a vehicle doesn’t get you where you want to go, what good is any of its other features or options anyhow?

While it did not rank as high as the number one competitor the Honda Odyssey in safety ratings, the Toyota got 4 stars for safety, but with a sticker price at near $5,000 under the Odessey, the Sienna still gets my vote.

In 2010 the Sienna remains a great choice for a family vehicle. With its smooth 3.5 liter 266 Hp V-6 engine which gets 17 mpg city driving and 23 mpg on the highway, the ride provides great visibility with versatile seating arrangements that have the capacity to shift the second row and folding third row of seats into the floor.

Standard features on the base Sienna CE include full power accessories, front and rear air conditioning, dual sliding rear doors with power-down windows, a telescoping steering wheel, a 6-speaker CD/MP3 sound system with an auxiliary audio jack and 16 inch steel wheels.

The LE trim adds heated side mirrors, a roof rack, steering-wheel mounted audio controls, a CD changer, cruise control, upgraded instrumentation, privacy and solar-energy-absorbing glass and a folding front passenger seat.

The Sienna XLE then adds power-sliding rear doors, a power lift-gate, automatic headlamps, alloy wheels, power front seats, tri-zone automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a removable center console, wood grain interior trim and a trip computer.

The Sienna Limited is top of the line with additional options including leather interior, driver memory, heated front seats, rear window shades, a sunroof, a leather-and-wood steering wheel, an upgraded 10-speaker JBL surround-sound audio system, Bluetooth, satellite radio, and 17 inch alloy wheels.

Stop into Jim Lynch Toyota Outlet today and test drive a Sienna to see why it’s in the top in its class for the best mini-vans on the market today.

If you have ever spilled milk in your car, you know that getting rid of the sour smell is easier said than done, the rancid smell can linger for months, even years. Even if the spill occurs in the trunk and not directly on the upholstery, it can seem like the sour smell is directly next to you, especially when warm weather comes and the heat intensifies the foul smell.

As soon as you notice a milk spill, it is best to take action immediately. Blot up as much of the moisture as possible first of all, then try pouring baking soda over the area and let it sit overnight. It’s important to keep air and ventilation moving through the car as much as possible so if you have a sunroof keep it opened and keep the windows rolled down until the smell is gone if at all possible.

In the morning vacuum up all of the baking soda, if the smell remains try treating the area with vinegar and water in a 2:1 ratio (2 parts water, 1 part vinegar) *****NOTE always test a portion of the fabric in the car before using any product on the interior to make sure there is no fading.

If the smell persists, the next step is to try a commercial enzyme odor remover that uses biological organisms that consume the odor. You can find this type of product online or in a specialty store that sells cleaning products.

Use a commercial leather cleaner and odor eliminator to deodorize any leather upholstery that may have been effected. To purchase this type of product, check with your local Toyota Dealer, they often carry commercial leather cleaner and may have available (or be able to special order) the products you need.

Note; Always thoroughly dry any interior area that you have gotten wet during the cleaning process in order to prevent mildew or mold, a blow dryer works well.

While there are plenty of reasons to drive your new or used hybrid Toyota throughout St Louis, MO, sometimes you just don’t have anywhere you need to be. You’ve run your errands, you don’t have to go to work, yet you’re looking for a peaceful outing. Sometimes you can have a lot of fun just by traveling even if you don’t know where you are going. So, why not hop into your hybrid Toyota and see where the Missouri roads take you?

You could just drive through the St Louis suburbs and see where you end up. Have you ever explored Kirkland? Have you driven from Florissant to O’Fallon? Perhaps Hazelwood is calling your name. While you probably spend plenty of time inside your hybrid Toyota in your own neck of the woods, getting out of your comfort zone can be good for you. You might find some great boutiques or some tasty local restaurants. There are beautiful parks you’ve never explored, and all of these could be found by just hitting the road and letting it take you on your way.

If you’re looking to get out of the city, why not take a leisurely drive through the Missouri countryside? Your hybrid Toyota is a great companion as you travel around. You can find some great historical sites, beautiful scenery, and, of course, some wonderfully brilliant leaves. Better yet, since your hybrid Toyota gets such great gas mileage, you can afford to spend a little more time enjoying the road.

So what are you waiting for? There has never been a better time to check out all that the St Louis area has to offer. From scenery and history to people, food, and shopping there is so much to see and do, and your Toyota can take you there in style.
