The biggest news to all iPhone user is the long wait iPhone OS 4, which Steve Job announced it on Apple Keynote April 2010. He introduced 7 Tentpole features that will make the iPhone look better! They are:

“Tentpole” Features

In addition to the above-mentioned new or updated features, the bulk of the presentation focused on seven so-called “Tentpole” features:

1. Multitasking

Developers will have access to seven multitasking services (listed below), which will allow tasks to be performed in the background while preserving performance of the foreground app and overall battery life. So you’ll be able to make a Voice over IP call while playing a game or checking email, find a restaurant on Urbanspoon while listening to Pandora, and more. Per Steve Jobs, “We weren’t the first to this party, but we’re gonna be the best.” It will work by double-clicking the Home button within a running app, which will bring up a bar at bottom (similar in appearance to the row of “dock” icons already at the bottom of the iPhone screen) that displays all apps currently running—scroll to the app you want and tap the icon to select. Games will have a countdown to give you time to get ready to re-start where you left off. The seven multitasking services are:

Background audio – Think Pandora. Streaming audio in the background while continuing to perform other tasks. We’ve always been able to do this with the iPod app and other Apple-native apps, but now we’ll be able to do it with 3rd-party apps too.
VoIP - Think Skype. Similar to the above, streaming Voice over IP in the background while continuing to perform other tasks. Will also now be able to answer Skype calls when the iPhone is locked.
Background location – Two types, GPS for turn-by-turn directions (think TomTom) and cell tower for power preservation (think social networking like Loopt). Also adding a location indicator to the upper right of the status bar, and users will have the ability to enable/disable location requesting by app, as well as an indicator icon displaying if an app has asked for the user’s location in the last 24 hours.
Push notifications - Pushed through an Apple server to your iPhone
Local notifications - Sent to you from a local app
Task completion – Think flickr. Say you’re uploading a bunch of pics to flickr, but don’t want to wait for it to finish. It will continue the upload in the background even if you switch to a different app.
Fast app switching – The running foreground app stores its state and preserves it in background for when you return to the app.

2. Folders

Get faster access to your favorites by organizing apps into folders with drag-and-drop simplicity. And browse and manage up to 2160 apps at once — many more than the current limit of 180 apps.

Drag and Drop UI – Touch and hold the icon, drag and drop it to another icon to create a folder.
Intelligent naming – OS 4 intelligently auto-names the folder based on the App Store category of the apps that you are grouping. Folder names are editable. Folders can be moved just like app icons.
180 –> 2160 apps – The upper limit of apps goes from the current 180 to 2160.

3. Mail

See messages from all your email accounts displayed together in a unified inbox, switch between inboxes more quickly, organize messages by threads, and open attachments in third-party apps.

Unified inbox – All of your email addresses come into one inbox
Multiple Exchange support - Now supporting more than one Microsoft Exchange email accounts
Fast inbox switching – Move quickly between inboxes with just a few taps
Threaded messages - A indicator will be displayed for emails that are part of a thread of related messages
Open attachments with apps – Open attachments from any App Store app.

4. iBooks

Easily flip through the pages of a book you’ve downloaded from the iBookstore while listening to your music collection. Browse tens of thousands of books — many of them free — by title, author, or genre. You can even check out reviews and read sample pages before you buy.

“Delightful” ebook reader – Steve Jobs’ word, not mine!
iBookstore – Same as for the iPad
Buy once, read anywhere – Buy once on any Apple device, transfer to any other Apple device for no additional charge
Sync page and bookmarks – Wirelessly sync your current page and bookmarks between Apple devices
Free Winnie the Pooh – Hey, who doesn’t like Winnie the Pooh?

5. Enterprise

iPhone OS 4 offers more useful features for businesses. With enhancements to security, scalability, and compatibility, IT managers have even more reasons to deploy iPhone throughout their enterprises.

Wireless app distribution
Multiple Exchange accounts
Exchange Server 2010
SSL VPN support

6. Game Center

Later in 2010, Apple will be launching Game Center, with which it hopes to further cash in on the ever-increasing popularity of the online gaming community.

Social gaming network – Seems like an obvious combo
Invite friends - Challenge your friends to a game over your device
Matchmaking – Automatically searches for players of similar ability
Leaderboards – Compare your results with your friends
Achievements - See how you are progressing through a game and compare to your friends.

7. iAd

iAd is a “breakthrough” mobile advertising platform from Apple. With it, apps can feature rich media ads that combine the emotion of TV with the interactivity of the web. For developers, it means a new, easy-to-implement source of revenue. For advertisers, it creates a new media outlet that offers consumers highly targeted information.

Emotion + interactivity - Basically they are going for a combo of TV-quality ads and interactive web ads
Ads keep you in your app – Won’t have to find your way back to where you started once you are done with the ad
Built into iPhone OS – Ad software is integral to the OS and therefore hopefully quicker and more stable
Apple sells & hosts adds – Centralization for simplification (and allows Apple to maintain control)
60% revenues – > developers – $$ in developer’s pocket, $$ in Apple’s pocket. Pitched as a win-win.

It's been a while I didn't update my blog... well.. There are 2 major reasons for this:

1. Super tight schedule.. very busy..
Well... this week is week 8 for this 3rd trimester already.. and I didn't enjoy my day in this trimester a bit..

I tell you my schedule you also lari.. UTAR thought all the student in their campus is robot is it?

and I still got many assignment yet!! Shit man... how could I managed to survive to these stupid schedule!

2. Another reason is the stupid INTERNET CONNECTION in my hostel..
Don't what happen to my internet connection.. slow until cannot MSN, slow until cannot facebook.. slow until CANNOT DO ANYTHING!! that the reason why I didn't update my blog for quite a while..
But lucky today morning speed is okay.. so take this opportunity to write this blog.. hoho~~

Lazy Afternoon

Back from CNY to Kampar last Monday.. and Wednesday I already had my Math II exam.. starting this week, my life getting busier, assignments, tests, practical tests, come 1-by-1.. very sien lo..

Yesterday was Prophet's birthday.. nothing to do at hostel, study bit.. play game bit.. surf internet bit.. also very sien.. Damn! Got class also sien, no class also sien.. in summary, my life in kampar = sien..

Did you try out Sushi King in Sunway Carnival yet? I tried last week, the service quite slow.. and you can notice that when you pay for the receipt, the name of the company is 'Sushi Kin Sdn. Bhd", is it missing a 'g' there? I will update the photo later.

Well, nothing special happen for the 1st week when I back to Kampar, so.. not much thing to write either.. Everything more on study-homework-exam-assignment.. siao liao la... How could I survive that wave.. anyway.. Do the best I can la.. always say like that one, never change.. hehe..

And.. hardware faulty iPhone already in Maxis Center for more than 2 week already.. Feel like just a dream when I have the iPhone, I miss iPhone very much, hope my iPhone faster back.....

CNY Week!

Hoho.. today is 21st February already, later tonight gonna pray god, and tomorrow 7am I'm gonna start my journey back to Kampar.. (Haiz..) Tomorrow gonna be a bad day for me.. as 11am later that day will have class until 7pm.. hoho~ Time to die Jason!

Anyway, this post is about what was happened on my life during this CNY week..

So, did you guy get many 'ang powsss'? Well, I haven't counted mine, but seem quite a lot :P.. and of course, 1 thing that CNY must do - GAMBLING!.. (Bukan, Kami main Caturrrr saje..) Anyway, this year CNY won around over RM100, so happy.. extra incomes --- hohoho~ How your situations? did you play? did you win? If you didn't play, very sorry to yourself one lo...

This year CNY don't know why got many movies to watch.. so far I only watched 2.. which are:

This movie not bad, bit like Harry Potter Style (From Harry Potter Director). The Creatures look nice, story not bad, but the acting bit kiddy style la, if compare to Harry Potter.. Anyway the movie not bad la..

Very nice movie, laughed a lot when I watched this movie.. rated must watch for this year CNY!!

Also, the 1st day of CNY, is the Valentine Day too! For those who fell in love with someone - Ahem, did you take your opportunity to do something to the person you love? I'm not gonna tell mine xD.. anyway.. I would like to share this song.. Valentine by Martina McBride.. I know Valentine is already pass (A week already xD), but this song is too nice too listen together with your love one!

Ah.. Wednesday gonna have the 1st mid-term test of this trimester already.. which is Mathematics II.. Still not revise yet!! Monday gonna busy to prepare for the examination liao.. For those who taking this subject too, good luck!

Ah, 1 thing more.. my iPhone in Maxis Center >.< I think is radio failure and cannot activate my Sim card.. Now the problem is, I did Jailbreak my iPhone, which can cause my warranty void.. However, I did restore to wipe the trace of my jailbreak activity.. The Maxis Person keep say I Jailbreak my phone then restore then got problem, problem is.. I did a diagnostic and found out it should be hardware problem.. I keep denied that I not jailbreak my iPhone.. But the staff did help my to submit my iPhone to service center.. and ask me wait 40 days.. Crap! After 40 days will know the result - either 1-to-1 exchange, or unable to claim warranty.. But after wiped up all the jailbreak traces.. I hope and pray to god hope that I can claim warranty.. abo need spend money to fix...

Currenty using back my n81.. No more touch screen, miss my iPhone much~~~

CNY just in 3 days more!! Tomorrow will going back to hometown already, and have reunion dinner at Saturday night. How about you guys? What your planning on this year CNY?

Well mine as usual, gambling a lot during CNY~ Hoho.. Somemore this year got PTPTN as backup! Of course la, won't spend whole PTPTN for gambling.. Besides that, this year must get many many ang paossssssssss (Red Packet)!!

Before that, did you guys ready for CNY yet? Did you bought a new pair of shoes? shirts? or any gadget to welcome CNY this year? For me, of course.. this year, my iPhone, new nike shoes, and new Hush Puppies will celebrate CNY with me!~ hoho!!

This year gonna 21 years old already.. walao eh.. starting to grow old... However, this year I can ENTER GENTING CASINO!!! WOOOOHOOOO~~ I guess my life still will be the same for this year.. a journey for another 365 days trip.. Felt very tired, felt reluctant to continue to walk every steps.. What I wishing for is.. I will be more happy, more smiles everyday~

Also.. after CNY, my mid-term tests will come 1-by-1.. everytime.. from primary school until now. Mom always said, 新的一年, 新的开始 (New start for every new year!).. But thing never really start before.. still much much lazy :P... Moreover, this semester really 'GG'.. Will I made my own revolution?

Just back from birthday celebration for 4 people! They are TY, Terence, Caros, and Theodore.. Atfer class end at 7pm, we went to Tesco's King confection to buy 2 1kg cake, one is blueberry and another one is chocolate..

The celebration start at 10pm, where Theodore, Terence and TY don't know about birthday celebration for them too, all they know is we just want to celebrate the birthday for Caros. So, another cake blueberry flavour we keep in my car 1st. when they were celebrating with Caros, Pi Ja, Hui Peng and I sneak to side of my car and light up the candle on the cake for TY and Terence, and then bring in for a surprise, hoho, we managed to give them a surprise successfully!

We had some fun, and some games too.. Lazy to mention 'em all, as very tired cause of whole day activities non-stop.. Anyway.. Here some photo..

Haha another case.. Just now want post my celebration blog post.. Uploading.. POP!! Walao eh, blackout.. Whole area no electricity...

Now the whole area dark as hell, a lot people walking on the street.. Look more like walking zombies..

Still remember when we were primary school, teacher ask us write an essay about ' a night of no electricity'.. We can describe how happy and excitement on the night.. However, i don't feel any excitement, and i very bored right now and typing this blog (lol)..

later on.. just lie on bed.. slowly slowly.. and slept already.. around 3am, the electricity recovered and crowd keep screaming outside, and woke me up.. lol..
I just wake up and switch off the light, and continue to sleep, hohoho~

the next day morning, as usual, 7.10am will wake up to attend 8am lecture, take my cloth and towel go inside bathroom, switch on the electric shower.. EH!? why no water come out geh?.. Siao liao la... no water at this morning!? how to bath.. luckily I still got a pail of water that I usually filled up - for wash leg purpose.. No choice.. but use the water to bath lo.. and it was freakin' cold! Very very tired on that day, everything seem not went well..

Hope my lucky better by this CNY.. if not.. gambling sure lose liao.. CHOI!

When Steve Job introduced and bring out the iPad on 27 Jan 2010, crowd were keep clapping on their hand. iPad is a tablet computer also a new product from Apple. It similar with iPod Touch but with 9.7 inches screen (HoHo~). But still, iPad will will run apps designed specifically for the iPad as well as most iPhone OS apps.

If you watched the conference, Steve Job said :" Imagine that you surf your facebook on a big screen, in your hand and in front of you."

I'm agree with the statement.. I really couldn't imagine I get my hand on this iPad, surfing MP (xD), on a big screen, in my hand, and in front of me (lol).

My comments - iPad not very portable, as it compare iPod Touch, I love the design though, very sleek design, but for Malaysian.. the living standard not that 'high-class' yet to purchase an internet tablet for RM1722.80 ($499)?

Dinner at Vegas Kitchen

Although there are many choices and many restaurant in Kampar, but the variety of foods are limited.. Not chicken chop rice, then Wat Tan Ho... or Chicken Rice.. I spent 7 month in Kampar and started to get bored with the food around here.. Every afternoon not chicken rice at Seng Yip, then Mihun at UTAR.. If not having dinner around KTAR there, then Seng Yip again, or ABC =.=.

However, yesterday night, we had noticed 1 new restaurant opened in Kampar, which called 'Vegas Kitchen', without hesitation, as we don't have much choices, we go for a try, for our dinner.

The environment in the restaurant quite okay, the restaurant design looked western classic, the musics are those 60'-80' sentimental and classic.. However, we were frustrated by the slow and poor services there, I guess too less worker working around there, but a lot of customer need to be served.. Food served around 40 mins after order..

Also.. We were annoyed by those stupid little insect around there.. keep buzzing around us.. some even drown into our drinks..... I ordered Vegas Cheesy Chicken Chop, which cost RM11.80, and a Float Root Beer, cost around RM3.00.. The food cost a bit expensive, but reasonable because the food quite nice, matchable with those high-class restaurant, the size of the chicken chop was average, not too small either.. Problem is there too many Potato salad that come with the dishes (I guessed I'm not a potato lover).. I prefer french fries xD. Overall, the foods are good! but can't eat those for everyday as I unable to afford that much (I'M NOT RICH!).. Anyway, if you haven't try the food from 'Vegas Kitchen' yet, go for a try, I bet you won't regret~

KL Trip~

Sorry for didn't update my blog for quite a while, since I have A LOT of things to do when I back from KL.. so.. don't have much time to blog and share my KL experience here.

Anyway, last Saturday morning, I bought a bus ticket 8.30am, journey from Kampar to KL, to find someone important for me xD. On that day, woke up early in the morning (around 7.15am), double check whether everything is packed up and drink a box of Milo for my breakfast:

Ride the bus on 8.30am, Konsortium very good, the bus start journey to KL at the time. It took roughly around 2 and 1/2 hours, and I managed to arrive at KL Puduraya Bus station, at Plaza Rakyat there..

Since this is the first time I come to KL alone, I'm not familiar with the environment and transport here.. first time ride LRT in KL... Lucky got bring my Touch N' Go card, abo need queue at the ticket counter for ages just for buying a ticket..!

My destination is at Bandar Tasek Selatan, and that time I at Plaza Rakyat, looking on the directory and map for the LRT.. and I know which LRT I should ride.. Ampang and Sri Petaling share the same platform.. so, whenever a LRT come, I just ride on it.. however.. for the 1st time, I ride wrong LRT.. because the LRT is going to Ampang, while I should ride Sri Petaling LRT.. Look very stupid, faster come out and find a way back.. feel like lost liao, haha.. so fast..

However, I managed to arrive my destination at last, feeling so happy lo~ After meet.. we ride LRT to KLCC.. notice KL lifestyle is very tiring, you have to be 'Sardin' to fit in the LRT, because everyone rush and push inside the LRT when the LRT door is opened.

When arrive, KLCC, we go to PetroSains, which is a science center of Petronas, quite cheap, only cost RM9.60, and we spend almost 3 hours in there! Many exciting exhibition to see, games, and more, not bad la, for 'Malaysia'. Please look below for the some photo in PetroSains.

After that, it was around 6pm, we continue our journey to LowYat, to look around xD. Then go to timesquare for some shopping.. and we managed to back around 10pm......

On the next day, we ride KTM to Mid Valley, it was the worst experience I ever had.. crowd.. really crowd in there, and you don't stand a chance to breath... lol. And I trip at KL ended around 6pm, and I ride bus at PuduRaya back to Kampar..

Tension.. Depress..

Today is the 9th day of trimester in UTAR.. If want to ask me did everything went well? I would say, Hell no! This sem filled with tension and pressure.. What I need more is free time...

Well, as you know, UTAR often described as:

Now I really tiada rehat liao.. My schedule almost all filled with study already.. What I really hate is the schedule that organized by UTAR..

Monday 11am till 7pm class.. 4 subject on that day.. People alway said, after back from class, need to revise back what lecture had teached us.. When i back from 7pm, after had my dinner and bath, 8pm already.. + sometime got homework or assignment to do.. Where the time for my revision? I need to sleep early as my class fall on 8am the next day!

Tuesday 8am-5pm, same as well, 4 sub.. Lucky this day early back a bit.. Got some very little time for relax and some web surfing too.. But when all the assignment come.. I think i will get very busy too... Since this day have practical class, so I need to work on my lab report

Wednesday 8am-5pm, 3 subject, same as well.. Like tuesday.. But still need work on some revision though..

Thursday 11am-1pm, the day I like the most.. Only 1 lecture.. The day i usualy use on blogging and have some gaming and some entertainment.. However, I told myself i need to do some little revision on night as well.. As 3rd sem not like 1st sem already.. Thing getting harder and harder..

Friday 9am-6pm, 2 subject.. Friday also need to work quite much.. Luckily there still some break in the middle, not like monday and tuesday..

And today having big problem on Data Structure and Algorithm lecture.. Not really understand how to approaches recursive function.. And i still work on the practical assessment.. However, i finally managed done the iteration part.. But the recursive part no idea how to do yet.. Gonna ask tutor next week..

Feel the real challenge come toward already.. And i felt quite depress currently.. Sleep not very well too... Give up not an option for me, but working hard not easy for me either... Everything felt just suddenly come to me, and I don't disappoint everyone who care about me, but what if I failed to do so?

UTAR life really tiring.. And i started to get bored of it.. Still wondering how long I still can continue to live on it.. A 4 year course compress into 3 years.. UTAR just try to kill people..

Express my feeling already, now for some relax stuff..!

After 2 week on living hell, I'm gonna go to KL on this saturday for some vacation and to find my friends too! Going to shopping.. Vieit science center and more! Will be going to there by bus.. And I bought the bus ticket yesterday

Will share some of my experience and my vacation when i back! Hoho~~

Operation: Cicada

Just now had dinner with my housemate, Aik Han.. just we 2 persons, as usual, Kampar just a boring with entertainment-less town.. we go back to our hostel..

Enter my room, then trying to charge my iPhone since it gonna drain out the battery already.. then suddenly 'szzzzzzz', a sound made of wing of insect, and I can confirm this gonna be a huge 1.. Then look around.. Holly shit!!! a HUGE CICADA! (in Chinese called 蝉), small 1.. okay for me.. but this, totally unacceptable.. call aik han, and he scare too, lol.. But we must get rid of it.. If not.. tonight it gonna sleep and overnight with me liao..

Trust me, the photo may look small, but it roughly more than 10cm LONG!, really huge!! and it haven't died yet.. We keep plan strategy, about how to capture and get rid it.. We been frightened away few time because of it's sudden movement when we get near. After that, call my room mate, yi fan for help~

After set up a strategy, we formed a 'swat' team, and the operation codename is 'Cicada'. and we collect our weapon for the operation:

So, I use a stick, move away those thing nearby it.. and our brave Yi Fan go near it, and FASTER use the dustbin to cover it! Now we use some paper to cover below the dustbin, then move to the Styrofoam as the base..

Now we have caught the cicada, here come the problem, how to get it of it? After quite a while.. I suggest we bring the dustbin, together with the Styrofoam out our hostel.. then put far away, then we bring 1 more weapon for this operation:

Now we had set our location, I prepare the Asadi shoes and use 1 of the shoe to throw on the dustbin.. 'Pheeeeew' HIT ON TARGET!, now the cicada has come out the dustbin, no longer kept inside the dustbin anymore.. however, it don't want to fly, since it pretend to 'die'..

We take back our 'equipment', and faster evacuated back to our hostel, and - Mission Accomplished!

Anyway, tonight, is a good, bit scary, and quite exciting experienced we had in this trimester. However, I don't want it happen again! ^^

Kampar 'Bread Chicken'

Today Louis and his friend come and pay for a visit to us in Kampar from KL (UTAR Setapak representative huh? xD). Anyway, they arrived here around 4.30pm and visit me, Aik Han, and Yi Fan first.. After that, he go find Pei Sing, Yong Fa, and other friends that study in UTAR Kampar.

On that night (Or just now), we were having a dinner at Kampar Old Town (NOT THAT RESTAURANT OLD TOWN), a restaurant call 'Lam Gei' 林记, famous in 'Bread Chicken'..

We ordered 1 bread chicken herb flavour. wat tan ho (or DUA PAN in Hokkien), and 1 mee hoon.. eat very happy lo, cause first time in Kampar eat this nia.. This is what we had as dinner:

Still remember 2 days ago, went to a restaurant at KTAR there, eat Bah Kut Teh as dinner, wa.. very syok, eat till keep drinking the soup almost finish! Feel very satisfying..

The next day....

When I woke up, the sky was still dark.. take out my iPhone and check on it, how come no alarm.. Suddenly notice that, there only 3.30am that time! Shit! And my throat getting very dry and pain..

Wake up and went to toilet, then keep drinking water.. then lying on the bed trying to sleep back.. Tic Tok Tic tok.. The time ticking, and I unable to sleep.. keep turning around on the bed, until around 4.15am. 'Beh tong' liao.. wake up, comb comb hair then drive to nearest 7-11 to buy 3 packs of Strepsils, which are Regular, cool and extra strong flavour... Keep eating, trying to cure my throat, eat eat.. then look at the back of the packing..

Instruction : Slowly dissolve a Strepsils into your mouth every 2-3 hours, DO NOT OVERDOSE.

OVERDOSE? I think I eat them every 2-3 minutes, I think I OVER OVERDOSE liao.. But cannot die gok la xD.

That day, lucky only one class, Data Structure and Algorithm.. Keep forcing myself to concentrade on the class, but the sore throat keep distracting me away.. Shit.. I want to recover ASAP.. that night (yesterday night), drive to Pharmacy (Traditional one) buy sore throat medicine, the pharmacist gave me this:

4 tablet of Dequadin Lozenge, I ate before, and 9 tablet of unknown black thing, told me have to eat 3 Black + 1 orange everytime..

On that night, lucky still able to sleep, I guessed too tired.. until today morning, my throat is still pain, but not quite serious as yesterday.. Later still got Digital Circuit and System Lecture. Hope it could recover faster. See ya~

Life in UTAR (3rd Trimester)

Just came back from UTAR, after attending 3 hours of practical for the Electronic Devices and Circuit subject.. Today is 2nd day of the trimester, and everything been speed up and very busy, life just like going to hell.. Monday class from 11am-7pm, while today from 8am-5pm, interval rest not more than an hour...

Yesterday was the 1st day of the trimester, when I drove my car, enter west gate of UTAR, passing by A Block.. My mind suddenly appear many images, these include those busy life, need to see those words on book again, miss Penang foods, and many more..

I gonna attend my 1st lecture class of my 3rd trimester during that time, and that is Digital Circuits and Systems, knowing my life gonna like hell for more than 3 months again.. However, good thing is, MORE GIRLS in UTAR! New 'amateur' or junior of new in-take for January 2010, but not much time to peep on each of them.. since the timetable too tight!

Anyway, I'm already attended 5 subject already, left Data Structures and Algorithms that haven't attend yet (will attend on this thursday). Meet some new lecturers, some are weird though... Here is some comment on them:

Introductory to Statistic - Lecturer kind, teach quite well and plan everything for us already.
Digital Circuit And System - My 1st Trimester lecturer for Digital Fundamental, he is very very good lecturer
Electronic Devices and Circuits - Don't know where is he from, English spoke well, but the pronounce very very weird, but he definitely not from Malaysia.
Mathematics 2 - He teach very well, and he is cute, look and act very funny..
Object-Oriented Programming - Indian Girl, explain okay.. english spoke very well

Things go harder for this trimester, and I expected when the trimester break, and really gonna hardworking to achieve and score all the subject, hope my luck goood and I got the 'heart' to do that.. since I already been lazy... haha~

Anyway, very tired after attend those lectures and practical, gonna take a nap a while.. Good night, see you again.

Arrive At Kampar!

Ah.. today is the day that I need to return back to Kampar, since the trimester break is over =(.. Packed things up and get ready to start my journey with Aik Han and Yi Fan... The car is full loaded lol..

We start our journey around 1.45pm.. around 2 hours 30 minutes trip.. And finally we reach our destination.. haiz.. come back to this bored place again.. everyday chicken rice, fried rice, what what rice...

When I think about tomorrow gonna wake up early, attend all the lecture, waa.. more sien...
Once we reach our hostel, we start tidying our room, since almost a month didn't clean up already..

And just now had our dinner, and again.. our 'no choice' favourite drink = Cha Shuet (Chinese Tea)

Anyway, starting tomorrow, need to 'pia' again liao.. Ang Gong Bo Bi hope I can concentrade on this trimester and score again! I will try my best as well.. I will back on CNY, don't know which day yet.. So, see you guys around when that time~

iPhone: Install Crack Apps

The following guides will teach you how to install cracked application on iPod Touch / iPhone on firmware 3.1.2. However, this is just meant to share some info, I will not post or taking any request on how to get your hand on those cracked iTunes applications.

For your information, there are many way to install cracked application, and the following guides I will share only 2 methods, which is by using install0us, and appsync

**NOTE** Your iPhone/iPod Touch must be JAILBREAK'ED!

GUIDE TO INSTALL CRACKED APPLICATIONS USING APPSYNC

Go to Cydia

Tap on Manage tab
Tap on sources
Tap on “Edit” and then on “Add” , type in the macosmovil repository which is http://apt.macosmovil.com

Tap on Add Source
After the source is added, go to “Search” in Cydia and search for AppSync

Select AppSync para OS 3.1
Install and Confirm
Select the cracked applications you want and sync from iunes, they will be synced without any errors

GUIDE TO INSTALL CRACKED APPLICATIONS USING 'install0us'

Go to Cydia
Tap on Manage tab
Tap on sources
Tap on “Edit” and then on “Add” , type in the install0us repository which is http://cydia.install0us.com **Note** 0 is zero, not alphabet 'O'

Tap on Add Source
After the source is added, go to “Search” in Cydia and search for install0us

Install and Confirm
Now the install0us application will appear on your springboard

Launch install0us, tap settings, and add http://appulo.us as your homepage

Select the applications you want and download, they will be able to install without problem.

The following guide for iPhone owner who currently using Malaysia Telco Sim card (Digi, Maxis, Celcom), this guide will unlock 'Cellular Data Network' column under Network Menu in General setting inside your iPhone as well.

First you need:
iTunes 9
Telco Carrier Logo .IPCC file [Choose one Below]

GUIDE: Update iPhone Telco Carrier Logo + Unlock 'Cellular Data Network' [Malaysia Telco ONLY]

First, Please choose one .IPCC file below:

Maxis ---- Download [3.0 / 3.1.2]

Digi ------ Download [3.0 / 3.1.2]

Celcom -- Download [3.0 / 3.1.2]

You not able to select .IPCC files to update in iTunes by default. However, some tweak will do the job =), if you have done this before, you may proceed to update .IPCC file steps.

So, to enable Carrier Bundle Support in iTunes, you need to make sure your iTunes is closed, then open up command prompt [Start > Run > type in 'cmd' (without quotes)]
Then enter the following command into command prompt window :

C:\Program Files\iTunes\iTunes.exe" /setPrefInt carrier-testing 1

That's it! Now you may proceed to update your telco carrier logo!

UPDATE TELCO CARRIER LOGO
To update telco carrier logo, connect your iPhone to your PC, open up iTunes, then under 'summary' tab, HOLD SHIFT then click 'CHECK FOR UPDATE', change the file type to .ipcc file, then search for your .ipcc file and 'open'. Done!

Then you will notice the 'Cellular Data Network' will available in setting -> General -> Network in your iPhone!

Jailbreak iPhone FW 3.1.2

I would like to share some info here, about how to jailbreak your iPhone with firmware 3.1.2, this guide will work on iPod Touch firmware 3.1.2 too! Hope this guide would help someone needed.

Jailbreak iPhone/iPod Touch FW 3.1.2 with blackra1n.

First, you need:
Blackra1n RC3 tool ----- Download: [Windows / Mac]
iTunes 9 --------------- Download: [CLICK HERE]
Update iPhone to FW 3.1.2

** Note ** Blackra1n RC3 work with all baseband
** Attention ** Blackra1n WILL NOT UNLOCK your iPhone

After you have download all the software above, we will now proceed to jailbreak your iPhone/iPod Touch.

First, launch the blackra1n application that you have downloaded, and you will see the program look like below:

Now, plug in your iPhone to your PC / Mac, and make sure iTunes is closed, then click on the 'Make it ra1n' button, your iPhone screen will turn back, then a guy will some iPhone will appear on your screen [Look alike with photo on top of this post]

Next.. you will see this notification on your PC / Mac:
Your iPhone will restart, don't plug off your iPhone when it restarting.

Jailbreaking complete! Look at your iPhone/iPod Touch Springboard, new icon appear - blackra1n:
Now open the blackra1n application in your iPhone/iPod Touch, and you will see your iPhone/iPod Touch screen look like below:

Now check on Cydia, and click install, and wait for it to download Cydia.

Look at your springboard! Cydia is there!! Congratulations, you have jailbreak'ed your iPhone/iPod Touch successfully!

Now, you may uninstall blackra1n application if you want to. Don't worry, your device is still jailbreak'ed.

You now able to install 3rd party application to your iPhone through Cydia!!

**** IMPORTANT ****
For those who have iPhone 3GS comes with latest baseband, your iPhone will enter recovery mode EVERYTIME when it reboot/start, you HAVE TO open the blackra1n application, click on the 'make it ra1n' button, and plug your iPhone to your PC/Mac everytime!

Things you might missed out!

Because I didn't feed this blog for quite a while.. near a year already, and now I decided to start it back. I guess a lot of thing you guy missed out during this period, and I would point out some memorable thing I experienced.

1. Redang Trip with 'Hoodssss'
The best trip I ever had, everything I didn't try before, I tried on that trip. Like.. Snorkeling, Disco Dance, beach football, drink many salt water (sea water), jump from 2nd floor of the big boat into the sea (Very high!!), wearing goggle like 'so zai' go into dance floor -.- . Anyway, this trip happen around May 2009, before I go to UTAR, it was the best trip I ever experienced, if you ever have a chance to go, don't you ever miss it!

2. My next 3 years of education occurs here, UTAR.
Because to avoid get some 'poor / not interested' subject in local U (play play too much in Form 6!), after heavy discussion with my parent, I come to this university to continue my study, advanced to degree liao! No more uniform, freedom that occur here, UTAR (University Tunku Abdul Rahman), mine is Kampar, Perak Campus, together with Yi Fan, Aik Han, Chwen Hooi, Pei Sing, Jia Liang, many gok....and I Study 'COMPUTER ENGINEERING' (Don't Play Play!)

Quite tough for this subject, study E&E thing, Hardware, software, networking, programming, most of the computing subject, I guess a lot harder than computer science, (Engineering I guess....), gonna enter 3rd trimester of 1st year this coming Monday (18 Jan 2010). Quite satisfy my result so far, 1st trimester 3.95, 2nd 4.00, now total cGPA is 3.9517, of course very happy, but this just a beginning, hope the following trimester I can maintain my result, then PTPTN able to waive off! Then really 'tiok' ToTo liao, Hohoho~~ But quite worry about coming trimester, where the real challenge coming into this course.. Anyway, I will try my best.. Wish me!! and hope "Ang Gong Bo Bi"

Forgot to mention, my course for my batch only 26 people.. and 2 gals only.. lol.. While Computer Science got many leng luissss, zZzZzZz, don't know is people scare of this course, or what? Aiya nvm.. less people ma more job opportunity lo, meanwhile this course could earn a lot in future when I work.

Hehe, study computer must have a good laptop ma, hor? Abo call study computer meh? Kiddin~~ Anyway, this happen on July 2009, my new partner that accompany me in UTAR, my Dell Studio XPS 16! Been use it to do A LOT of thing: Gaming, ppstream, Web surfing, doing assignment, Programming, and NOW -> BLOGGING, and more la... Lazy to review this unit, but if you want to purchase this laptop and want some opinion from me, e-mail me and I could share with you. Anyway, this laptop is very nice laptop!

4. My Niece, YuKi Teoh.
Born last year March 19, and now around 10 month old already. My brother's daughter named Teoh YuKi, she was cute, active, and quite naughty.. been take care of her along this trimester break.. and quite tiring.. Anyway, when you see her smiles, you really can happy and keep playing with her. Everyone really 'sayang' her.. more than me liao, shit! *Kidding*

5. Bye Bye Kancil, Hi Hi Saga
My old little white kancil has been sold, and trade in new Proton Saga, of course, my 2nd sister will drive Proton Saga, and I currently driving Perodua Kenari, huhu.. evolved liao. Quite satisfy with this car so far, nice to drive, and spent few hours to polish it during this trimester break, and now become really really shiny d!

6. Born of Apple iPhone 3GS 16GB and Apple iPod Touch 16GB (2G)
An apple a day, keep the Bill Gates Away! I won the Apple iPod Touch 16GB 2nd Generation Edition from Norton 2010 Launch, my brother drive me to KL to get this prize, however, during this journey our car had an accident, and quite serious one, fortunately, no one injured. Anyway, quite love the new iPod Touch, really nice UI, easy to use, and really really nice.

If you still remember my posts, about Why iPhone may disappointed you. I did critic much about the iPhone, but after high demand on the market, and I loved my iPod Touch too, I decided gave a try, and now I got one of 'em! Subtitute my Samsung G810 (Spoiled already...) with Apple iPhone 3GS 16GB. Really really love it, no lag, nice UI, LOT OF APPLICATION, even though no 5 Mega Pixel (only 3 MP), but the quality of photo nice as well.. Now I realize, I want a phone that I can do much on it, not a phone that can do much for me.. mean -> A PURE SMARTPHONE, instead of a phone with only nice hardware specification (after bad experience on my Samsung G810).

iPhone is the best phone I have so far, and I really really love it, playing it everyday, and I never miss out my iPhone, have lots of application, and I never get bored to it! If you been thinking of getting one, you can go for it! And for Google Phone Nexus One, I not really know about it yet, and my sister plan to get one, if she get her hand one of those, I will share the review and info about this phone here.. Anyway, iPhone really beat most phone out there, Satio, 5800, n97, although those hardware specification better than iPhone, but if you want a nice user interface, nice to use, a pure smartphone.. iPhone is the one you want!
