Websphere Application Support and Configuration Management Administrator (JA-MY-2009-100010)

Overview

Installation, Configuration, Administration and Performance tuning of Websphere Servers.
Experience in deploying applications in Domain and clustered environments.
Apply patches and maintain the Websphere servers.
Troubleshooting routine product issues independently (Incident Tracking and Resolution).
Develop, facilitate and maintain best of breed product support tools including run books, monitoring, and knowledge bases to aid in the product support process.
Act as the primary business liaison to the business segment, through facilitating communication between Development, QA, Product Management, Technical Operations and Segment business leaders on new product releases, technical outages, and routine maintenances (hosting moves).
Effective communication and presentation to key business stakeholders are instrumental.
Ability to work on own to complete tasks or projects with little or no supervision.

Responsibilities

Must have at least 5 years experience in Websphere administration.
UNIX proficiency (Linux and/or Solaris).
Websphere Application Server (version 5.x and 6.x).
Scripting ability (bash, ksh, perl, etc).
J2EE application support.
Apache web server support.
Apache ANT.
Databases - Oracle.
Familiarity with Messaging, Load balancer, BIG-IP.

Additional Preferred Skill Sets

IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler.
Actuate version 9.x.
LDAP.
DataJunction.
Python/Jython.
Ruby.
PERL.
JBoss.
Basic network troubleshooting skills.
Familiarity in FTP, SFTP, SSH, Telnet, trace, BIG IP, Firewall and general Network components at the level to troubleshoot any problem.

Overview

Handling migration of objects in various technology platforms, e.g. build and deploy Java codes, transport of code or data changes in SAP, Peoplesoft or Mainframe.
To be on-call on rotation basis to provide prompt support during off-office hours
Able to perform server Administration, such as Web Server, Application Servers, LDAP and etc.
Administration of the system to ensure all the system troubleshooting, access and security are in place for various applications and platforms.
Ensure all the documents and processes are in place during and after migration procedures.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree/technical certification in Computer Science or related and 3 - 5 years of actual work experience.

Understanding of Change Management and Migration procedures, and execute tasks in full compliance of such procedures.

Application Architect (JA-MY-2009-100003)

Overview

A senior/architect-level professional, the Systems Development Specialist is a fully qualified individual producer who applies a broad knowledge of engineering/automation concepts, practices and procedures. Incumbents are competent to work on fairly complex assignments (and/or portions of larger, complex systems) and perform a full range of development activities. The incumbent generally works under deadlines and is capable of handling heavy workloads, and operating with only general supervision, although errors at this level can cause delay, expense and/or disruption. May provide occasional functional guidance to less experienced staff. Incumbents are responsible for the installation, development, implementation, and customization of hardware and software system elements.

REPRESENTATIVE PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design and implementation of Dot Net based web software using C# and MSSQL. Responsible for database design, generation of complex stored procedures, extended stored procedures and DTS packages that are required in the maintenance and development of web software. Research and identify new technologies that will aid in enhancing existing software and development of new systems. Maintains existing software and provides user requested changes and enhancements throughout required change control. May be required to work within a team framework consisting of both on and off-shore developers.

Maintains state-of-the-art knowledge with respect to software and technology.

Education and Typical Years of Experience

Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field or equivalent work experience.

Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible related technical experience, including 1 year developing large, technically complex systems and 6 months with major responsibility for developing, revising and controlling technical documentation of a complex system.

Requirements

Must have ASP.NET, C# experience. Extensive experience with SQL 2000 preferred. Experience with web security a plus. May be required to travel at times.

Overview

The incumbent will be responsible for designing user interfaces for our websites and web-based applications including visual look and feel, graphics, styles, navigation, and layout. Requirements

Solid understanding and fluency in HTML, XHTML, DHTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript skills & table-less coding practices are required.
Strong Flash and ActionScript (2.0 and/or 3.0) with working experience in Flash Video, sound integration, filters, animations and transitions.
Minimum 5+ yrs industry experience required. The ideal candidate will have strong visual design skills, experience taking mockups and turning them into standards compliant HTML/CSS and achieving cross-browser compatibility in IE 6/7/8, Firefox, Chrome and Safari. Solid understanding of cross-platform browsers compatibilities and image-optimization for the web.
Working knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash).
