Have you demonstrated that you can

 track record of successfully innovating social and direct marketing techniques that drive results

<li>You have not worked for an Internet/Technology company for at least three years.</li>
<li>You don't enjoy actually doing hands-on marketing work.</li>
<li>Your primary goal is to "manage people".</li>
<li>You cannot handle (or don't have previous experience with) the excitement, chaos, and stress 
  associated with working at a fast-based start-up.</li>
<li>You don't have a proven track record of creating immediate return-on-investment from online 
  and offline marketing campaigns.</li>
<li>You don't have a sense of urgency or a sense of humor.</li>
<li>You require large budgets, staffs and infrastructure.</li>
</ul>
 
<h3>About this position</h3>
<p>Outright.com is looking for an experienced Director of Marketing to create, own and drive our 
 marketing programs. We're looking for someone with an appreciation for social and guerrilla 
 marketing, who understands that you don't need a huge budget to generate significant results. You will 
 own customer acquisition and build out the marketing function for the company. This position 
 reports directly to the CEO and will have board access/exposure.</p>
<p>Get in on the ground floor of this exciting opportunity - be employee #4 of a well-funded, 
 venture-backed startup that is redefining financial management for micro-businesses.</p>
<p>We offer competitive pay, with a significant bonus and incentive equity program.</p>

<h3>Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Manage all Public Relations efforts, marketing and promotional programs</li>
<li>Ownership over all messaging, both inbound and outbound</li>
<li>Mine date to produce and analyze daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports on the performance 
  of campaigns, programs and viral and social marketing activities.</li>
<li>Drive influencer marketing</li>
<li>Manage all promotional activity</li>
<li>Social media, including Outright.com blog, SEM, Affiliate marketing &amp; sponsorships</li>
<li>Work with business development to maximize partner effectiveness</li>
</ul>

<h3>Skills, Experience, Style</h3>
<ul>
<li>Results and metrics driven: you can find and measure causal relationships between your 
  efforts and results</li>
<li>Passion</li>
<li>Experience with online and Web 2.0 marketing initiatives: blogs, SEO, SEM, social media, 
  video and mobile</li>
<li>Understanding of consumer behavior and motivation and how to measure our impact on it</li>
<li>Incredible communication and writing skills</li>
<li>Ability to balance strategic planning with on-the-fly prioritization to meet rapid growth 
  and chaos of a startup</li>
<li>6-10 years of recent experience in relevant consumer facing or small business web products</li>
<li>Bachelor level degree, preferably in Marketing. MBA preferred, but not required.</li>
<li>Prior experience as an independent contractor, self-employed individual or small business 
  owner/operator is highly desirable.</li>

It’s a six month engagement to create the foundations of a company-wide Voice of the Customer program.  The major deliverables include: </p><ul>
<li>deliver two VOC interview survey projects   </li>
<li>create and host an Executive Advisory Board meeting </li>
<li>develop a VOC portal for the client, and end-user communications </li>
<li>provide a matrix of segmented customer profiles and use cases </li>
<li>create a ranked/rated database feedback loop to integrate customers desires into the engineering process                                                                                                            </li>
</ul>
<p>Hattras is seeking a to hire a 1099 consultant to work on the project team.  The consultant should have excellent communication skills as he/she will be cold calling end users and doing use-case profiles and interviews. He/she should be able to research issues, draft and contribute to client reports.  Ideally they will know something about enterprise storage hardware and software. If they are six-sigma experienced that would be icing on the cake.
