MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To coordinate the activities of quantity surveyors and the administration of the prime contract and subcontracts on a company project.

A quantity surveyor manages all costs relating scope of projects or subcontractors scope from the initial calculations to the final figures.

Surveyors seek to minimize the costs of a project and enhance value for money, while still achieving the required standards and quality.

A quantity surveyor may work for either the client or the contractor, working in an office or on site. They are involved in a project from the start, preparing estimates and costs of the work.

When the project is in progress, quantity surveyors keep track of any variations to the contract that may affect costs and create reports to show profitability.

JOB OBJECTIVES

1. To ensure that the administration of contracts by projects is carried out in accordance with the company policies and procedures.

2. Preparation of subcontract agreements and amendments thereto.

3. Monitor the performance of awarded subcontracts, checking, agreeing, and certifying monthly payments and final accounts. Supervising the remeasurement of works where appropriate.

4. Assist with review and settlement of claims raised by subcontractors or suppliers.

5. Assist with the preparation of change orders to the prime contract between company and client.

ESSENTIAL WORK ACTIVITIES

• Responsibilities vary depending on the nature and stage of the project being worked on, but can include:

	Basic Requirement	To coordinate with the Head draughtsman and KPs at various stages of the project To collect and understand the project raw data from KPs for the preparation of various drawings for project requirement as per ToR/RFP. To assist head draughtsman in preparation of drawings for the project and finalize parameters related to various drawings elements of the project.

4.	Position	DGM - Highway Design
	Basic Requirement	To coordinate with the client at various stages of the project. To ensure all activities pertaining to the project execution shall be carried out based on establish documents of ISO 9001 requirements to improve QMS. To initiate, attend, assure and monitor kick off meeting covers all aspects/requirements of the various projects by coordinating the key persons working on the project. To assist Sr.PMs /PMs to prepare & review work plan and manning schedule for timely completion of projects & monitor the progress of Sub-agencies! Vendors. To monitor the projects at macro level. To assist Sr. PMs/PMs to. To assist Sr. PMs /PMs to finalize parameters for engineering surveys, design and drawings. Carry out verification on the obtained results from the engineering surveys and investigation To prepare/review reports and drawings required as per ToR. To assist and verify highway geometric design, Pavement design, economical/financial analysis, improvement proposals, bid documents, BOQ and cost estimate related activities of the projects by Sr.PM /PM /QS /JQS/ Sr.DE or Design engineer. To Obtain Completion Certificate and customer feedback by following procedure of QMS.

5.	Position	Sr. Surveyor
	Basic Requirement	To coordinate with the client at various stages of the project To ensure all activities pertaining to the project execution shall be carried out based on establish documents of ISO 9001:2000 requirements to improve QMS. To attend kick off meeting by coordinating the key persons working on the project To carry out site reconnaissance. To co-ordinate activities related to topographic survey work and ensuring implementation of the same on ground To carry out planning , preparation, execution and monitoring of topographical survey on ground including data analysis / processing and setting up of control points. To prepare Digital Terrain Model. To Assist TL/PC in Identification of highway sections requiring geometric improvement Identification of available alignment options for bypass Transfer the surveyed alignment options for bypasses Transfer the surveyed alignment on to the ground by fixing reference pillars/BMs. Should have a sound knowledge of Land Acquisition process. Assist in preparation of Strip plan, alignment plan and L.A.Plan Assist TL/PC in preparation of various report required as per ToR/RFP. To co-ordinate activities between field and office professionals of HO/RO to execute the work as per the required standards. To monitor the progress of Sub-agencies/ vendors. To carry out initial evaluation and performance evaluation of vendors. To attend monthly project performance meeting as and when called by TL/PC To Obtain customer feedback by following procedure of BD

Job Description

OFFICE TIMING: 10.00 AM TO 5.00 PM (MON TO SAT)

Urgently required for a leading Construction Company in Kuwait involved in Civil & Electro Mechanical which includes Power Station, Pumping Station, Refinery, Petrochemical, Oil & Gas & EPC Projects.

Functions and Responsibilities

-Prepare the materials take off from design drawings prepared by the draughtsman including well head, surface safety valve manifold, flow line, tie-in to GC or existing flow lines, fence cellar cover platforms Gathering manifolds etc.

-Capable of reading engineering drawings related to flowlines construction.

-Have high proficiency in computer operation and has good knowledge of Excel, WordPerfect, Paradox, Access etc. to prepare documents related to material procurement, schedules of construction, memos relating to different projects, etc.

-Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM's) as per the Company's procedures.

-Liaise with the Company's personnel to clarify specifications of the required materials

-Maintain drawings and project files, as per procedure

-Prepare schedule of work listing works to be carried out by the Contractor.

-Update drawings database and other records

-Update files for correspondence as per requirement

-Prepare tables and reports on computer as required

-Verify quantities constructed at site and prepare Re-measurement sheets

Qualification

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering

-Proficient in reading Engineering Drawings

-Should have a valid Kuwait driving license.

-Fluent in spoken and written English.

Experience

Minimum Eight (8) years experience related to pipeline activities estimation, Material take off, piping material specifications and in use of computer for preparation of

BOM's and reports.
