<img src="http://www.fmgradio.com/img/jody/genevieve-bell.jpg" width="300" align="Left" border="0" vspace="10" hspace="10" alt="Dr. Genevieve Bell" />Dr. Genevieve Bell is an Australian-born anthropologist and researcher. As director of User Interaction and Experience in Intel Labs, Bell leads a research team of social scientists, interaction designers, human factors engineers and computer scientists. This team shapes and helps create new Intel technologies and products that are increasingly designed around people's needs and desires.&nbsp;<div><br /></div><div>In this team and her prior roles, Bell has fundamentally altered the way Intel envisions and plans its future products so that they are centered on people's needs rather than simply silicon capabilities.<div><br /></div><div>In addition to leading this increasingly important area of research at Intel, Bell is an accomplished industry pundit on the intersection of culture and technology.&nbsp;</div><div><br /></div><div>She is a regular public speaker and panelist at technology conferences worldwide, sharing myriad insights gained from her extensive international field work and research. Her first book, '<i>Divining the Digital Future: Mess and Mythology in Ubiquitous Computing</i>,' was co-written with Prof. Paul Dourish of the University of California at Irvine and released in April 2011.&nbsp;</div><div><br /></div><div>In 2010, Bell was named one of Fast Company's inaugural '100 Most Creative People in Business.' She also is the recipient of several patents for consumer electronics innovations.</div><div><br /></div><div>Moving to the United States for her undergraduate studies, she graduated from Bryn Mawr in 1990 with a bachelor's degree in anthropology. She then attended Stanford University, earning her master's degree (1993) and a doctorate (1998) in cultural anthropology, as well as acting as a lecturer in the Department of Anthropology from 1996-1998. With a father who was an engineer and a mother who was an anthropologist, perhaps Bell was fated to ultimately work for a technology company, joining Intel in 1998.</div><div><br /></div>

She's known for giving inspiring and moving talks to notable companies such as AT&amp;T, The Gap and American Express.<div><br /></div><div>In addition to being a charismatic speaker, she's the renowned author of fourteen books dedicated to achieving your dreams: Making Your Dreams Come True®, Life is But a Dream, Dreams are Whispers From the Soul and Doing Less and Having More. She's also a syndicated columnist for The San Francisco Chronicle, in which she urges readers to take "The Great Dream Challenge"- a call to arms for dreamers from all walks of life.
Appearing several times on Oprah and The Today Show, she's shared her message of a "passion-filled life" with millions of viewers. Equally exciting, was the PBS featured national television special, Making Your Dreams Come True®, the namesake of her popular selling book, which has also been translated into numerous languages.</div><div><br /></div><div>Interestingly enough, while serving as the President of the National Association of Women Business Owners, she was often invited to the White House. During her time living in Washington D.C., she had the honor of meeting former Presidents Jimmy Carter, Ronald Reagan and George Bush Sr.
With a growing world-wide audience, receptive and eager to achieve their dreams and support others in doing the same, Marcia founded Dream University, where she has certified over 1000 Dream Coaches to lead her masterful work. Many have their own successful practices, and others have brought her powerful message into their companies, communities, and even schools.</div><div><br /></div><div>As the founder of Dream University, her live events include: the Dream Coach Certification program, How to be An Inspiring Speaker Workshop, and Create Your Future Now.
<br /> <br />The universal content of her keynotes and workshops appeal to a wide range of audiences. Whether she's teaching at the Stanford Business School, speaking to executives in China or Prague, or addressing a group of young women gathered at Girl Scout Camp, her belief that "each of our personal dreams matter, and are worth achieving" strikes a chord in everyone, everywhere.<br /><br />

The MUSE School began in 2005 after Suzy had watched her older children struggle with the confines of traditional school philosophies, and sought an alternative option for her then-five year old. She looked for an educational environment that would foster independence, creativity, awareness, and community, but found nothing that met her ideals.&nbsp;</div><div><br /></div><div>Enter Suzy's sister, Rebecca, a past collaborator in child-centered schools, who has both education and experience in psychology, education, child development, and teaching. Together, the sisters decided they could - and should - build a school that fit Suzy's forward-thinking vision; one designed to meet 21st century needs by focusing on the child, the community, and the planet.&nbsp;</div><div><br /></div><div>Launched in 2006 with just 11 students, MUSE School continues to grow and make its mission a reality. With caring and compassionate teachers, playful classrooms, and opportunities for exploration and reflection at every turn, MUSE has become a dream come true for parents who recognize the enormous value in kindling each child's own unique spark.&nbsp;<br />
