Wordless Wednesday: Say Cheese!

Say Cheese

I know it's wordless Wednesday, but this photo needs just a tiny, little bit of background. Obviously this is a dragonfly, but this photo was actually taken on our recent trip to Disney World. The reason I thought it was so cool was that the dragonfly actually looks like it is smiling here. Even cooler still is the fact that this was shot just outside of the 'Tree of Life' in Animal Kingdom (incidentally our favorite park).
I was literally on top of the dragonfly with the lens and it did't budge an inch! I used the macro setting on my Canon Powershot G9 and snapped off a couple shots and this one turned out the best. Of course I love all the pictures of our family during the trip, but this one is just plain old cool and I had to show it off.
By the way, the macro (usually represented by the little flower icon on cameras) is off the hook powerful in the Canon Powershot series as it is with most solid point and shoots these days. Anyways, enough camera talk. Let me know what you think of the photo and, of course thanks for dropping by.
