It’s FREE to join!</p> </article> <article> <h1>018_”A Christmas Story”</h1> <p>John — Sat, 07 Nov 2009 05:00:03 +0000</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">I’ll be at the <a class="wp-caption-dd" href="http://tampacomiccon.com" target="_blank">Tampa Comic Con & Toy Show</a> today.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Show promoter and great guy, Tim Gordon asked if I would like to contribute a pin-up, short story, or some type of artwork to a charity driven comic he was going to be doing for the show today: November 7th, 2009.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">I agreed without hesitation!</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Along with myself and many other guests’ will be by best friend <a href="http://craigzablo.com/" target="_blank">Craig Zablo</a>.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">I decided to see if Craig, who loves writing and whom I’m discussed doing a comic story with for some 20 years…would be interested in writing a 3 page story for the book that I could illustrate.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Craig’’s been going to Tim’s “<a class="wp-caption-dd" href="http://tampacomiccon.com" target="_blank">Tampa Comic Con & Toy Show</a>” since the first one! [In fact, it was Craig who got me to go over with him to the first show Tim had in Tampa.]</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Craig agreed, and within a week, I had the story below to work on.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">I put it aside for awhile, as I had work to do that needed immediate attention and also had some hard deadlines.</p> <p style="text-align: justify;">Anyway, the deadline for the Christmas book started getting closer, so I had to start the story and completed it in a little over a week. Again, we had a great turn out, even with the 1st game of the “MLB World Series” being played!
