Network Marketing Or Flying – You Choose.

Recently, my brother in law took us for a ride over Sydney harbour in a chopper. Jim gained his Pilot’s license a few months ago after 3 gruelling years and over $30,000 in expenses. He is a wonderful pilot and the ride was smooth as silk.

I asked him, now he is fully qualified, what happens next? Basically, when you get your pilot’s license you are allowed to clean the copters, sweep the floors and make coffee for free for the staff at the base and charter customers. Because pilots need certain flying time to progress to the next level and maintain their license, the payoff is that you get to do some charter flights with paying customers.

Of course, as a new pilot, you don’t get paid for this, just notch up a few flying hours! Jim told me that the same applies in many glamour industries. Musicians rarely make any money and there are thousands of struggling actors. Even Airline Pilots fly for free until they get their commercial license. As for helicopters, unless you are very lucky your best option to earn money is to work for free for another 5 years to notch up sufficient hours to do an instructors course, outlaying $25,000 more.

Now Let’s See, What Happens With Network Marketing?

Let’s address the downside first. You have no way of knowing if anyone will buy your products, or listen to you as you explain how you are going to leverage your way to extreme wealth. Well, as a pilot you do know that it will be a few years before you get paid anything – guaranteed.

In MLM, you usually have to spend $100 or so a month to maintain your position. Flying, you spend 3 or 4 days a month cleaning. In most professions there is considerable investment in training, practice and equipment. For MLM you need a phone which everyone already has.

The Good Part

With no further investment, except sweat and tears, or some advertising, your network starts to grow. You are forced to grow as a person with it, and gain a myriad of life skills that can be applied to any other business. If you apply yourself, it won’t be too long before your monthly expense is covered.

The sky really is the limit to which you can grow your business. Maintaining a positive can do attitude and infecting that into your team of warriors, they start to experience success and cover their costs too. Once you work this through a few levels of sponsorship, your income starts to become a living. All this can happen much faster than the 8 years it takes to become a Helicopter Instructor, and you don’t have a $55,000 debt to show for it.

My Philosophy

I decided some time ago, I didn’t want to work for a boss and I didn’t want to be tied to a business premises. My second consideration was that I wanted to leverage anything I did. That means working once and being paid over and over again!

As it turns out, Network Marketing meets those requirements. I have very low overheads, ability to work anywhere I wish, and no rent to pay! In effect it is a low cost, highly profitable venture. Even if you make $1,000 a month and your outlay is $100 it is a 10 times return on capital. Tell me where you can get those sort of returns.

Conclusion

Well, as you can see, flying a helicopter, while glamorous, isn’t necessarily a path to riches. Whatever you are doing it makes sense to add some leveraged income, and Network Marketing is one of the best, low cost options to achieve that goal.

Once you begin your journey into a web business and making Affiliate Revolution Bonus, Website Automation Wizard Bonus a part of it, then you will fast figure out the need to choose one thing out of several possibilities every single working day. That is part of the reason most new marketers have such a tough time with it.

It is very important when email marketing that you make sure the people wants to receive your emails. There’s nothing like being accused of sending spam to trigger a mass exodus of customers. The following tips are all designed to help you make sure the people on your email list have genuinely opted in.

Proofread anything you send out via email. You have to make sure all your newsletters and emails are letter perfect. You should also test the layouts of your emails to make sure they are displayed properly on different browsers and devices. Click on every link in the email to make sure each functions as expected.

It is important that you obtain subscriber consent before you begin emailing them. If your emails are considered spam, you won’t be taken seriously. Some customers may even be annoyed to the point of deciding not to deal with your company anymore.

Take all the subscription information you’ve obtained and put it to use in order to make each customer’s experience that much easier and more personalized. Have your forms auto-fill the customer information wherever possible. This makes the sales process much easier, and increases the chance that they’ll purchase from you.

Make sure that your customers give you permission before sending them correspondences via email. If this isn’t done, you’ll have a risk of losing your customers’ trust and their interaction with you, which can cause your business to have a bad reputation. You may even be blacklisted, which really hurts your company’s credibility.

You should always ensure that every email address that you have is correct. A result of not having valid addresses is that valuable time is wasted by having to track down correct addresses and resend emails. This will cost you time.

Look at how spammers run their messages, for a lesson in what you should never do. Get a free email address, post this address all over the Internet, and watch how much spam you receive. Study these emails for examples of what not to do, and tweak your own campaigns as needed. Ensuring your emails look nothing like spam will boost their effectiveness.

Use as few graphics as possible in your email marketing materials. Since some email programs block graphics, any email which contains a lot of graphics will not display correctly to recipients that have these types of email programs. The spam folder is the likely destination for photo laden email.

Make sure your emails are closely targeted. When you achieve having a few readers, be sure to think of ways on how to make them to ask their friends to sign up. By including a subscription link within your emails, your recipients can easily offer it to others they know will sign up. After this, your base should begin to grow on its own.

The primary reason for email marketing is to lead customers to purchase your products or services. Each email that subscribers receive should move them closer to making a purchase. This can be done with an email that provides new product information, that goes over the benefits of an existing product or that talks about a new promotion.

Each email should only contain a single topic. You don’t want your consumers to be overwhelmed or bored by the content in your email. Create the specific message using brevity and conciseness. Your customers most certainly will appreciate your efforts.

Make subject lines of emails exciting and interesting. The subject line is your first, and maybe only, impression, so make it count. Otherwise, the message may well go unread. An email that contains a suspicious or boring subject line most likely will be thrown away and not even opened.

Your content should speak to the reader, not just jargon to bypass the junk mail box. By writing for individuals and not the spam bots, you will likely escape them anyway and you will keep your consumers intrigued. If you attempt to get too technical or wordy with your language, the people reading your content will get frustrated, and the filters may still snag you.

If you have subscriber birthdays listed, send them an appropriate email to help celebrate. You can have your system set up to automatically send out birthday messages on the correct day. If feasible, give them some type of discount or special offer, and be certain that it is accompanied by friendly language that expresses their value to your firm.

It is a great idea to require your customers to double-confirm when typing their email address into your newsletter. Many times people have typos the initial time they put in an email address. You can reduce the risks of sending out emails to wrong addresses by asking people to confirm their email address.

It is crucial that your email marketing campaign is relevant and interesting to your readers. If your emails look like spam, your customers will rush to unsubscribe. Use this advice to create quality content for your messages that your customers can appreciate.

Hey, I am not talking about the death of Internet marketing here. This article is about marrying the principles of metaphysics with the skill of marketing on line.

First Some Background

It is hard to believe it was over 25 years ago that I was introduced to the concept of the death urge. It was during a “New Age” weekend where I experienced energies I had been previously unaware of. I credit the death urge concept to Leonard Orr, a metaphysical teacher from San Francisco known in our circles as the father of “Rebirthing”. This was all so long before the internet!

We live in a finite world. They say there are only two guarantees in life, death and taxes. I know Mohammad and a couple of other people are supposed not to have died, but even Jesus died, according to the Bible and other writings. You may be an immortalist, but there is a distinct possibility you will get old and eventually leave the planet for good.

How The Death Urge Works

When we are young, death is something that doesn’t concern us much. After all unless we take a lot of drugs, or do crazy things, we are statistically not likely to die. With no responsibilities, or family, we are often prepared to take risks. This can be great for us, and if things don’t turn out, we bounce back and go again.

As we spend more time on the planet, we tend to collect things. Family, Kids, Career position, reputation, cars, houses, etc. Now if something goes wrong, we have a lot to lose. This colours our decisions. We take fewer risks, and as a consequence have less success. Eventually every time we start something new, we think about all the things that can go wrong.

A Constructed World

I am here to tell you that if you feel like this, it’s not your fault. It is a construct of the marketing, advertising and insurance industries to lock you into a thinking of scarcity. There simply isn’t enough to go around, so you have to act now or miss out forever. Sound familiar?

The Entrepreneurial Spirit

You probably know that entrepreneurs are people who keep trying things until they get a winner. This is how people become successful. They keep innovating, learn from their mistakes and one day they just might hit on something amazing.

Often it is something insignificant like Velcro, liquid paper, the safety razor, or a biro, some of the most successful inventions the world has seen. Most of these are technologic advances on existing ideas. If their inventors believed every invention was the end, we simply would never had been able to experience them.

The Economics Of Death Urge

When I studied Economics in University, I was taught that the world has a scarcity of everything. Commerce is based on supply and demand. If there is not enough to go around, the price increases. This is very true in marketing but it equates in a different way. The more value assigned to a product or service, the more people will pay for it. That means setting it up so that if you miss out you will lose big time and if you participate, you will be showered in everything you ever dreamed of. Value changes all the time and the early innovators certainly clean up.

Magic Bullets

You know I am not a great believer in this one. For the most part, the same direct selling methods used in the 1920s by such greats as Ted Nicholas still work. The delivery methods have changed, but the process hasn’t. This means that next time you hear of the newest fad, Social Network, or viral marketing scheme, remember that tried and true techniques are the best way to travel. They may be less effective than before, but they are still effective.

What To Do Now

If you are in Network or Internet Marketing, understand that your desire to move on may be due to death urge. You may be thinking this is going to end soon. That will kill your business. Unless the operation closes down, I would be inclined to think “how can I grow my business” rather than starting again.

All great businesses go through many cycles. The winners stick with what they love, and consistently shout its praises. Others are inspired and follow along or purchase and recommend your products. Letting go of those thoughts that it has to end will take you a long way towards outstanding success in life and on line.

Remember this when death urge kicks in and you feel you have to make changes now or it will be too late. The only time it is too late is when you are in a pine box, and at that stage it really doesn’t matter!

Let’s live life 110%, stay optimistic, and work towards building our dreams. It is a life of passion, fun and success.

Apply this information and watch your business soar!

Many of us seek our 5 minutes in the spotlight, but few get the opportunity. Karise Eden of “The Voice”, is a girl we have known for a while who now has that chance.

The Folk Club

When we moved to the Central Coast many years ago, my wife, Linda dreamed of being a singer.

With Guitar in hand we went down to the local “Troubadour” Folk club run by Frank and Marilyn Russell, and Cec Bucello, owner of the “Peninsular News”.

In those days we all used to sit around in a circle and sing a song in turns. There were violins, squeeze boxes, banjos and all manner and level of performance.

This evolved into the current “Troubadour” which meets once a month and features some amazing artists. We have seen Fred Smith there, singing his folk songs from Afghanistan, including the well known “Dust of Uruzghan”. Along the way, Linda has performed at many Folk Festivals and other venues around the Central Coast and Beyond.

We are grateful for the assistance of Frank and Marilyn and their support over many years.

What Has This To Do With “The Voice”?

Good question, isn’t it! So here is the connection. Frank and Marilyn, being very kind people, have been partakers of the “Aunties and Uncles” program for many years. They have two “Nieces” they have looked after, Amy and Karise Eden. Over the years, we have seen these two young ladies develop, and noticed Karise started performing with their group, the “Usual Suspects”.

When I first heard Karise do a rendition of “Me And Bobby Magee”, I couldn’t help feeling she resembled the real Janis Joplin. This girl fully embraces her music and has that charisma we all look for in a performer.

So it was that we heard on the grapevine that Karise was auditioning for “The Voice” in Australia. As she commenced her song, “Its A Man’s World“, the judges immediately spun around and all wanted to work with her. It sent chills up my spine to see this young girl get her chance at fame and fortune.

Lessons From Karise

In watching “The Voice”, there are some interesting observations relating to our ability to experience success. First, those who “perform” on the show, don’t make it. It requires feeling the music in the body, and emanating the energy that produces.

It requires enjoying yourself in the moment and disregarding what is going on around you. Winners are able to ignore reality!

We have watched a young girl, encouraged by her mentors, develop into her own personality, and then take that unique quality to make an impression with some high powered celebrities. Like it or not, take your natural talents, develop them as far as you can, and go out there with confidence, and anything can happen! This is the way to fulfil dreams. Those who don’t believe in themselves are condemned to a life of mediocrity.

My hope is that this will inspire someone to believe in themselves and go beyond their self imposed limitations.

In the meantime, vote for Karise Eden and help her realise her dream as “The Voice” unfolds.

There was a controversial TV ad in Australia where Naomi Watts playing a young girl, receives a phone call telling her she won a dinner with Tom cruise. As it turns out the family was having Roast Lamb for dinner, so she turned down the offer! I am pretty sure Tom never gave permission to use his name in the ad, hence the controversy. What has this to do with me. After all I am no Tom Cruise. Read on and find out.

Diamond And The Lamb Roast

We have a dog named Diamond. We got her from the animal shelter. She is a really lovely dog – except she runs away whenever I approach her. The good news is that she chases balls (a first for us). I asked for a dog that chases balls, but didn’t expect an obsession! She chases till she drops. She has been in the family over a year, and all that time, I could only give her affection was when she is on a lead. Other than that she runs away.

Now I know it probably means some man hit her or mistreated her, as she has no problems with females. I mean, she was really placid until she bit the electricity meter reader. That was a good thing as they had been here time after time messing with the meter. I now understand why power prices are so high given the time they spent here!

We Are Animal Lovers

You can imagine over the years having 3 mentally handicapped dogs, that we love animals. This extends to the meat we eat. Back to the Roast Lamb

My wife has long been a campaigner against live sheep exports. The way they are sandwiched into giant boats, with the lights on 24 hours and transported across the world to the Middle East is not good for animal welfare. As much as possible, we prefer free range meat. Mind you there is so much deceptive labelling it is no longer a joke. Check it out next time you buy meat and you will be amazed what goes on!

Anyway, the industry body took the time to phone my wife and tell her a big load of spin to try to stop her protests. Fancy that her voice caused so much trouble!

Linda’s Live Export Song

Linda is so passionate about all this that she recorded a song after a huge scandal last year about live cattle exports to Indonesia.

We Still Eat Meat

Our 6 year old is a bit of a carnivore! Last night we decided to eat a roast lamb for dinner (without Tom Cruise – he wouldn’t come)! Apparently sheep are left free to roam in paddocks unlike pigs, chickens and some cattle. That makes us feel better!

Anyway after dinner, I collected all of the left over vegetables including peas and broccoli, plus some meat and gravy and gave them to Diamond for dinner. She scraped every last pea from the bowl. Did I tell you she eats tons of vegetables! I think she liked it!

Today – A Miracle

This morning at breakfast, the impossible happened. Diamond came up to me and let me pat her, not once but several times. This is the breakthrough we have been looking for since we brought her home over a year ago. The Roast Lamb did the trick and now she is my friend.

The Moral Of The Story

To tell the truth, I would rather have Diamond be my friend than have Tom Cruise over for dinner! Personally, he doesn’t do anything for me anyway! Patience and perseverance win in the end. I think I read a post on that recently. As for the live exports, we will continue to campaign until this barbaric practice is stopped.

Last year Oprah Winfrey visited Australia and did some shows at the Sydney Opera House. At one of the shows actor Hugh Jackman flew in on a highwire and crashed into a camera stand. He was somewhat injured. Hugh presented Oprah with a vegemite sandwich! She was not totally impressed.

Origins Of Vegemite

Few foods stir the Australian soul more than Vegemite. Launched in Australia by the Fred Walker Cheese Company in 1922, this black paste didn’t take off until the 1930s. It was soon sold to Kraft, a giant American company and they have owned it ever since. Vegemite is a very closely guarded secret. While working in the Scientific Instrument industry, I had to visit the laboratory in Sydney. They were very careful to guide me only to safe places. The smell in the place was pungent, Vegemite being mainly made of Yeast, a discard of the beer manufacturing process! The factory in Sydney is located next to a former brewery. How Australian is that!

A Staple Food

I was weaned on Vegemite. Nearly every Aussie kid eats vegemite sandwiches, and it is used as a flavour enhancer in cooking. There are over 23 million jars sold each year in Australia, one for every person in the country! My 6 year old daughter loves it. Vegemite is one of the world’s richest known sources of B vitamins, specifically thiamine, riboflavin, niacin and folic acid.

One of the more unusual ways we used to eat vegemite was on Vitawheet biscuits. They had small holes and the vegemite used to squeeze out like worms. Alas, these biscuits no longer have the holes!

Who Eats Vegemite?

Basically Australians. The only other country I know of where people eat this is South Africa. This makes Vegemite a very unique Australian food. So much so that when an Aussie smells that yeast aroma in some distant corner of the planet, there is great excitement and anticipation.

My Vegemite Travels

I left Australia back in 1974 to see the world. I lived in South Africa for a while and Aussies there had vegemite shipped from home regularly. Then I went to South America. Now things were different back then. Only two years before the CIA had shot the president of Chile, Allende, in Argentina, people were disappearing daily following a military coup six weeks before our arrival, the whole continent was on edge with check points all over and soldiers patrolling many towns.

Lima, Peru

After 3 months of backpacking and travelling to strange places to photograph the remaining steam trains in the area, I wound up in the Europa hotel in Lima, opposite the famous catacombs. I had some strange experiences in this place. One day I was resting in my bed and fell asleep. I felt myself rise up above the bed, woke up and looked down at myself lying there! I quickly went back into my body! At the time I wasn’t into the occult, and it was a very real out of body experience, although I know sceptics will find some logical explanation.

Anyway, one day two young Aussie girls turned up and announced they had a jar of vegemite. Within about 10 minutes every Australian in the area, including me was in their room tasting small rations of vegemite and Saos, one of the biscuits every Aussie child eats. It was a real taste of home. Back then, their weren’t so many tourists, and facilities were modest. The most expensive hotel in Peru, the Lima Sheraton, cost $36 a night! Hard to imagine now.

Mexico

Well I moved north and two months later I couldn’t stand it anymore. I wrote to my mum and asked her to send a jar over. We were in Puerto Escondido in southern Mexico, now a famous surfing venue, then an almost isolated beach. We would get oysters from the sea and barbeque them in an open fire until they opened – yum! The Europeans were all bathing in the nude, it was a wild time.

The jar of vegemite turned up, and in an instant I was the most popular boy in town! Most of those staying in the caravan park were Aussie surfers, and this was something special for them. I think this time mum sent some Jatz, another biscuit over to have with the Vegemite.

New York City

Years later in 1987, I attended a Personal Development Course in New York. I was there for over 6 months. After some investigations, I discovered a chemist on 65th Street East Side that sold Vegemite. I was a regular shopper there. I was the only Aussie on the course and no one else wanted to try the stuff!

I believe Vegemite is now banned in the SU because it has folic acid in it! It is unbelievable how our governments are trying to steal our health these days!

Well, Vegemite is still owned by Craft, and really hasn’t taken on outside Australia. I don’t know why, because it is one of the most delicious foods there is – but then I was weaned on the stuff!

If you have tried Vegemite, leave a comment with your experiences, good or bad.

Last night, I was watching Gerry Harvey, multi Millionaire owner of Australia’s largest retail chain of furniture and whitegoods, Harvey Norman. A year ago he and other retailers were crying to the government that on line business were going to shut them down! Well, now he has a slightly different point of view.

The idea was that the GST (goods and services tax of 10%) paid by Australians for every item they purchase from Australia didn’t apply to small sales from overseas. The world was going to fall in! Well, it didn’t and retailers are still selling nearly all of the goods sold.

My Harvey now admits that on line sales are very small compared to retail sales, something that should be music to the ears of internet marketers. We don’t want Walmarts moving in on the internet and ruining it for everyone just yet! As long as our sales are insignificant compared to large businesses they will leave us alone.

This Got Me Thinking

We all know that the internet is potentially the most amazing thing to happen to the industrialised world. Now we can connect with people through all sorts of electronic devices only limited by our imagination. These days you can sit on the toilet and plan your next meal! The power of technology can be frightening, or of great benefit used wisely.

I consider myself fortunate to have been involved with this for many years, and to have learned a large number of skills in getting noticed on line. I have been so good at it that recently I had to change hosting companies because of too much activity on my websites! Worse still, government regulators are now watching me, again because I am too easily found.

Why not take those skills and use them to give small business an unfair advantage over the big guys? Well, that is exactly what I am doing now.

The Off Line World

I learnt all about Local Search SEO and Marketing. Many of the ideas I knew before, but I now have an enhanced concept, one that will see business appear on line more quickly than before. I checked out some businesses I know, and was appalled and excited by their websites and internet presence. To put it clearly, most small business websites are pretty ordinary, not geared for SEO, and when I talk to them, I get tales of customers not being able to find them on line! Check it out and you will see I tell the truth here.

For retailers, and service businesses, having on line shopping carts and direct sales pages may not be the best use of internet space. This is because the internet is king of one thing – information!

How I Market Traditional Business Using The Internet

In my internet marketing activities, my purpose with all I do is to get people to a sales funnel, and then entice them to buy. This has worked well for me over the years, and I have hardly met any of my thousands of customers and associates. I capture people searching for information, and then educate them to the point they see me as an expert in the field. Then we move to sales.

For businesses with premises, marketing is about bringing people in the front door! If they are any good at their business, they know how to part people from their hard earned cash. They just need more qualified people to talk to face to face! So how can we use Internet Marketing to enhance small business?

Education. With a blog, supplemented by email lists, and Facebook and Twitter feeds, you can tell your customers about new things happening in your business, special offers, and educate them why you do what you do and how you are different from your competitors. By using a certain style, people get to know you. They can tell their friends to go to your website to find out more about you, giving many more referrals.

Promotion. The trouble with advertising is that in most cases you only have limited space for your message. Most people will not be motivated enough by your $300 display ad to call you, unless they are in dire need of the service and don’t know anyone else to call! Better to drive them to a website where they can learn how great you are before they call. Your website can have videos, pictures and articles, explaining everything a potential customer wants to know before they buy.

Social Proof. By having people leave positive comments about you on the internet. Those searching read from others how great you are. This motivates them to take action and call.

There are many ways to assist those off line businesses using the internet. With android phones, tablets, and a host of new devices appearing, the yellow pages are being discarded in place of google. Those who are not visible over the next few years will lose heaps of business to competitors who are!

We all know that optimizing your blog content helps get you found on google. Getting that page one ranking is a combination of authority, content and back links. Whichever way you look at it, the quality of content on your blog is very important with regard to ranking on the search engines.

For quite some time I have been using the free tool, http://articlejockey.com to create search engine friendly articles. While this is good, it doesn’t really cover all the bases. It mainly looks at keyword density and suggests synonyms.

SEO Kahuna Breaks Through

Recently I started down the road to local search marketing using Google maps. This is an exciting new area for me, and so far those companies I have approached had no idea why they were not being found.

The reason in most cases is that they simply don’t have all of their internet activities co-ordinated, and their websites simply are not optimised for their main keywords.

The Right Search Terms

This is a subject for another post, but like it or not, keyword selection is critical to success. Once you select a set of keywords you want to be found for, then it is time to get to work and let Google know. The way to achieve this is to optimise your posts, and then syndicate them through article marketing.

I have seen companies rank for some really nice looking terms no one searches for, while missing out on others with high search numbers. Using the google keyword tool, you can type in a website and see what keywords they are ranking for. Once I know this, I can get to work doing an SEO makeover on their blog.

What To Do

SEO requires a number of factors. You want your keyword in the h1 header, h2 and h3 header, alternate text for an image, a keyword phrase in bold, have it in the first and last sentence, have the required density, and a few other things. It really is a lot to remember!

Great New Software Solves The Problem

Recently I have studied local search marketing. This has led me to revisit my SEO training and get up to speed with the latest developments. One of the great tools I discovered was a plug in that tells you how your blog posts are optimised for SEO. This takes the guesswork out of optimizing posts, giving you the best chance of success.

I have recorded a video demonstrating how this works. It is brilliant. You write your article, post it on the blog and then use SEO Kahuna to optimize it. You can get a cheap license for 3 blogs, or an unlimited one to install on all your client’s blogs. Now you can train your outsourcers to optimize articles, or even your clients!

Watch The Video Below

Optimizing Is Very Important

Believe me, if you were to optimize every bit of content and target it to specific keywords, you would get heaps more traffic. I suggest you use your main keywords as categories, and then long tail keywords as the title for articles. That way each of your articles adds to the credibility of the category. Include a link to the category in each article, and you are starting to unleash a powerful strategy for SEO.

I trust you enjoyed this. If you would like to know more, click here.

Come to think of it, this applies to affiliate marketing, direct sales, party plan and most home businesses!

I Am Not Complaining

Those of you who have read my posts before, know that I am one of the more successful Network Marketers out there. With all of the trials and tribulations, not to forget learning experiences, I have earned over $3,000 in commission this month. Many would be very happy with that result! Now, I know it is not the huge figures all the companies promise we will all get, but this comes month after month for not too much effort these days.

The Challenges

First, when you start out in MLM, most of you will get a small cheque of $10 or so after a few months of hard work talking to everyone who will listen. It is easy to give up in the first three months while looking for that first illusive business partner.

Worse still, most pretty quickly run out of friends and family to talk to, and some become members of the NFL club (no friends left) as they bore everyone to tears with a health breakthrough that will change their lives if they only start buying and using it! Yes, I have sold products to my mother, sister, sister in law and a couple of other relatives, but none of them built a business!

Next issue is you get someone who gets excited about the business. You did it all right, the three way call, presentation, etc and they signed up eager to go. After 3 months they quit and cancelled their autoship! Why? In my experience usually they join for the product and leave because they haven’t made money quickly enough. Simply put, they lack vision and it is your job to provide that inspiration.

A Clue

It takes vision to be able to build that regular income. A big dream means you see yourself and others as achieving those regular cheques month after month. The fact is that there is a great deal of hard work between paying for that distributor kit and receiving a 6 figure income. You probably know that work is part of NetWORK Marketing! Only those who stay the course, stay focused on the goal, and remain solid will get there.

A Practical Way

We all know the numbers. We enrol 2, they each enrol 2, and after 10 generations we have 1,000 in the business and financial freedom is ours! It really can work like that, but even at 5 generations we are likely to have 64 people on a regular order. Let’s say you get 5% on their $100 regular purchase, which is fairly typical. That means 64*100*0.05 or $32 At least you have your product paid for now! I exceeded this level in my third month, and it is a big reason I am still here! I have seen the vision.

Now of those 64 it is likely that one or two will hold your entire organisation! If those two are in separate sponsorship lines – bingo – you hit the MLM jackpot. The question is how do you get those people. The answer is teamwork.

Building A Team

It has been said many times that success in MLM requires a servant’s heart. In essence we are rewarded for helping others achieve their dreams. The temptation is to maximise your personal income but maximising the income of others works far better.

A Team is a group of people working towards a common goal. The common goal is to build income for each team member. This income is then used to work towards the individual’s dream life!

In most MLMs you only have to work with 2 people in different lines of sponsorship to achieve your dream. Helping these two to reach the income level you desire will ensure you earn more!

Let’s Get To Work

There are two goals in developing your business.

Find customers for products and potential business partners.

Helps some of those people fulfil their vision.

The first item is a team effort. Building one leader at a time, you devote your recruitments to your new leader, adding them to their own. Two people working together can double growth. Get a couple of upline people adding their recruits and you can get 4 times the growth for your new leader. That is powerful.

Imagine you recruit 3 people a month and your two immediate upline leaders do the same. Then all of these are added to the 3 your new leader recruits. Suddenly the business is growing by 12 a month! You share your vision and that of other leaders with this group and look for someone who will start recruiting 3 themselves. Bingo, they get the whole line of sponsorship and 15 a month.

Much of my success comes from doing exactly this. I still recruit several people a month. Those people are placed with one of my leaders who also recruits. When they find a leader who is enrolling people, our combined efforts start snowballing the growth of the new leader. I have seen people earn over $1,000 in their very first month of MLM using this method.

How Do You Do This?

It is all about teamwork. You decide it is time to break the shackles and build that long term residual income. You do the work until you truly believe in your heart that it is possible to achieve your dreams with this business, and that you can trust the integrity of the company, MLM model and products you offer.

You then start sharing your vision with others. That means holding regular meetings or conferences with team members and reinforcing your commitment to them and the company, while spreading excitement that this is a vehicle they can use to achieve their own vision.

Encourage team members to seek out one or two people who have a vision that the business can help achieve and slot the into the leadership group. Now everyone starts placing new enrolments with the new person who must be active and enrolling others.

As each new team member starts seeing their organisation and income growing, they get excited and that enthusiasm spreads. Pretty soon others get excited and have the courage to get started.

By focusing on the success of others and encouraging them to share their vision and link it to the business, you will see your income soar.

Conclusion

Bottom line is that serving yourself is counterproductive in MLM. Your job is to get satisfaction from helping others achieve their dreams. Once you do that, your own income will never be a problem!

I am not sure about everyone else, but I find myself living in a virtual world! Sure, there are real people in my circles, but many I have never met face to face. Of the people who contacted me yesterday, only my mother and mother in law were within a reasonable driving distance! To get to everyone else takes some serious travel.

Our little girl, Skye, is nearly 6, and it is when she was born that I went underground, preferring to make my money from my computer. I have done pretty well from that, but I now see the value of actually talking to people! It probably coincides with school starting. Regular free time during the day!

Time To Get Back To Business

My rant is that those of us who are in the on line world can easily get caught up in it to the exclusion of real people! I am now finding the concept of getting back out into the business community a little daunting, even though I know what I am doing and can do it better than most.

We can easily get caught up in that safe world where we write and send messages and look good, regardless of how life really is. Perhaps the internet is one big fantasy world, sort of like second life.

John’s New Business Direction

My new direction is using my skills to help small businesses in the real world. It is adding another income stream to my arsenal. I will post updates as I move forward. Writing this puts my intentions on paper as I push myself back into the business community.

I will be using a combination of syndication, article marketing, blogging, video marketing, citations, directory listings, keyword research, and a whole list of magical things that make it all work.

No selling here. I don’t want to say too much until I have the runs on the board. Please leave your comments. Do you feel isolated in your office on the net, and if so, do you have any plans to change it!
