The city of Johor Bahru or in particular the IMIC Danga Bay will be very happening this coming Saturday on March 3, 2012 because that is where the highly anticipated #twtupJohor will be held from 2pm to 10pm. The event is brought to you by Twitterjaya and co-organized by JOHO and supported by IMIC Danga Bay. 1MalaysiaTV is the official internet TV partner for #twtupJohor.

Those who have Twitter account might have seen the hashtag and even participate in the hype. However for those without Twitter account might be wondering what does #twtupJohor means. #twtupJohor (pronounced as "tweet up Johor") is a meet up for Johorean who are connected through Twitter.

#twtupJohor will be different from the other #twtup simply because it is made by Johorean for Johorean. We all know how cool and awesome we are, right? There will be few performers that will come down to entertain us all including Natasha Hudson. Plus we have activities lined up for the whole time during the event for all attendees complete with prizes and goodies, like the JOHO Car Boot Sales and Short films screening.

The photo competition is for the opening of Pinewood Iskandar Malaysia Studios that is scheduled to open in May 2013. The studio will offer international film and television producers one of the largest integrated filming facilities in Southeast Asia.

Your shots stand a chance to be featured in ‘FilmJohorNow’ book which will ultimately be viewed by producers and directors like Steven Spielberg, Michael Bay, Peter Jackson and the likes!!

It was on a rainy day when JOHO.tv crew kena bergegas ke Kota Melaka to do a cover story for an art piece done by The Super Sunday. When we arrived it was 11pm tapi kami still nampak these guys masih sibuk untuk menyiapkan mural mereka di pesisiran sungai Melaka (dedikasi).

The SuperSunday is a brand and also a company yang telah banyak involve dengan seni graffiti hampir di seluruh semenanjung Malaysia ni. JOHO.tv sempat berborak dengan mereka about their latest work di Melaka ni, mural sepanjang 150m dan mengambil masa hampir 2 bulan untuk siap di tepi sungai Melaka ni sudah tentu akan membuat korang semua terlopong dan terpegun, dan memang tak dinafikan hasil dari anak-anak kelahiran Johor ni memang hebat and makes us wonder, bila Johor nak ketengahkan "medium" sebegini untuk tatapan generasi baru dan juga memberi impak dan nafas baru kepada aspek "seni" tu sendiri...(no komen..)

Nantikan sesi temubual kami bersama abang-abang kacak ni di segment JOHO.tv selepas ni :)

This is the first Rock The World appearance by Statik and JOHO.tv was excited to be there with them. The atmosphere was awesome and the crowd was great, with the help from Anas (Laila's Lounge) on bass the evening went well for the band.

Sujudku is the upcoming single from Statik and it is told that the recording for this single will finish by early 2012, JOHO hope that more new sounds and faces from our beloved state will appear in the future.

Ipoh's very own indie heroes were in town during their show at Search Fenomena in Johor Bahru on the next day. We managed to ask them about their updates and other newsflash from Ipoh as well.

JOHO would like to thank statiksound for organising this and to EMBRACE HALL for the venue, many said that it has been a long time since we last got this kind of atmosphere and yeah we agreed.

A big applause to those who also performed with them that night. We got names like Pelanggaran AKta Bunyi, Second Radio, Redemption and also Statik performing live and full of passion.

Eearlier this month, JOHO rocked the town of Kulaijaya with Youth Shout Out at the IOI Mall on 8th and 9th October 2011. For two days, we set up camp at Kulaijaya and the event was a great success.

We got to meet the youth of Kulaijaya and we appreciate everyone who came to the event and show your support to JOHO. As expected, many of the JOHO lovers who came dress to impressed and we will not let that effort go to waste. IOI Mall Kulaijaya and JOHO are presenting thee with Youth Shout Out event that is designed and engineered just for you guys! The event will take place for two days starting from 8th October to 9th Octover at IOI Mall Kulaijaya.

Just look at the menu! We have the appetizers of bands performances, Graffiti by The Super Sunday and the awesome Football Freestyle show down on Saturday, 8th October 2011. Then on Sunday, 9th October 2011, you will be served with more tasty and fun goodness of open mic session, photography exhibition by Kukubesi and Fixedgear Gathering. Fesyen Gerek: Paso Bumbong 2011

JOHO brought Paso Bumbong for the second time this year on 27th August 2011 that took place at roof car park of Plaza Seni, Johor Bahru from 3pm till midnight. Paso Bumbong is an event to celebrate the month of Ramadhan as well as to welcome the month of Syawal for Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

There are many activities that have been planned out for the youth at this two days event. One of the activities is the fixed gear gathering with GripReaper and Southern Fixed which will take place on Sunday, 9th October 2011. To all photographer enthusiasts, you guys are welcome to join IOI Mall Kulaijaya's Youth Shout Out with JOHO event that will also host a photography exhibition and talk by the renown Kukubesi as well as JOHO's very own Amirul Izwan.

Don't miss out this opportunity to get up close and personal with these photographers as they give you the low down of the world of photography according to their eyes.

Youth Shout Out event take place at IOI Mall Kulaijaya for two days starting from 10am on 8th October 2011 to 10pm on 9th October 2011. The photography exhibition and talk however take place on Sunday, 9th October 2011.

In conjunction with the event as well as in celebration with IOI Mall anniversary, they are also organizing a photography competition.
