GEGO 2012 is brought to you by JOHO and supported by PAIM. It will take place on 8th September 2012 from 11:30am onwards at Bangunan Sultan Ibrahim, Bukit Timbalan, Johor Bahru. Make sure you are free on that date to come and join us.

GEGO 2012 will take place on 8th September 2012 from 11:30am onwards at Bangunan Sultan Ibrahim, Bukit Timbalan, Johor Bahru. Make sure you are free on that date to come and join us. Entrance fee for GEGO is RM10 and the first 5000 will get an exclusive GEGO 2012 lanyard.

There is absolutely no reason for you to miss GEGO 2012 since we have prepared Trans Iskandar shuttle bus from Larkin to Bukit Timbalan at only RM1, all thanks to Perbadanan Pengangkutan Awam Iskandar Malaysia (PAIM). Be sure to keep that ticket because you are going to need it for your return journey as well.

We have prepared all sorts of exciting activities and interesting programs, with diverse selection of offerings for you guys, from Car Boot Sales, to exhibitions, to gatherings to performances by 10 different bands.

If you are a photo, art and extreme sports enthusiast, then don't miss the Photo & Lifestyle Exhibition from Roda Radikal, Boomslang and Southernfixed which are located at the back of Bangunan Sultan Ibrahim from 4th to 8th September 2012. On the event day itself, there will be live painting (by A.R.A.H), live doodles (by TRUSK Aziz) and live graffiti (by The Super Sunday). Be sure to look for them!

For those who are into vintage cars and vespa, there will be showcase of them at Bukit Timbalan on the day of the event. You guys are welcome to participate and vote for the most 'gerek' car/vespa and the most rare vintage car. You can get the ballot from the person in charge and cast your vote. If you guys are interested to be part of the gathering itself (if you are an owner of vintage car), please call Mr. Boy at 010-8884109. For those who come to GEGO 2012 riding a vespa, please gather at Post Office Johor Bahru by 1pm with the rest of the vespa gang because the entrance will only be opened for vehicle at that specific time only. Once you are inside, you aren't allowed to ride your vespa out till the event ends.

Boomslang, Johor's own longboard community, will hold International Longboard Slide Jamm at GEGO 2012. Besides the slide jamm, there will be standie competition, clinic and exhibition. Cash money of RM1000 awaits those who participate in the competition. As for those who are interested to learn more about long board, now is the time to come forward and try out this extreme sport. There is also a fixed gear competition and Alley-Cat race to be held at GEGO 2012. The best part is, there is no fee, just show your GEGO 2012 ticket and you can be one of the guys who might walk away with the prizes. For more information, do not hesitate to call the person in charge. You can find his number in the poster below.

We are pretty confident you guys are looking forward to stage performances the most. Well then, hold on to your seat because we are bringing ten different bands, both local and international, to GEGO 2012. They will blow your shocks off with electrifying performances starting from 4pm till midnight. That is eight hours worth of good satisfying music for you guys to enjoy. We are instilling healthy living lifestyle so you guys are more than welcome to come to the event with your own bike, skateboard, longboard or even a roller blade. We want you to experiment and have fun at GEGO 2012!

9th JB Arts Festival

The ninth JB Arts Festival will take place for the whole month of September 2012 starting from 1st September 2012 till 29th September 2012 at Bukit Timbalan, Johor Bahru. There will be all sorts of activities and interesting programs to celebrate the arts, with diverse selection of offerings, from music – classical, contemporary, cultural, traditional – to dance, to theatre, to comedy and anything in between. All these are open to all walks of life, including GEGO 2012 which will take place on 8th September 2012 that is organized by JOHO and supported by PAIM.
JB Arts Festival is an event that started in 2004 and has continued to bring something to look forward to for the art lovers in Johor Bahru every year. 2012 will be a bit different though since the JB Art Festival will also celebrate Malaysia Day (September 16, 2012) with shows such as Culture Malaysiana and Heritage Race.

Some of the events for 9th JB Arts Festival require admission fees (ranging from RM10 to RM60) but most of the events are for free. There will also be a hot air balloon rides for those who wants to experience the feeling of ‘floating’ in the air as well as Kidz Mania to entertain the children. So really, there is no excuse for you guys to miss out.

JB Arts Festival pride itself as not just being a festival but a lifestyle that represents who we are as Johorean; the sounds, the arts and the culture that are infused within us all. With that spirit in mind, they call out to all of you to come to the 9th JB Arts Festival this coming September.

KOTAK MUZIK | Shila Amzah - Sedar | 1st session

Kotak Muzik 2012 was an event brought to you by Pengangkutan Awam Iskandar Malaysia (PAIM) and organized by JOHO. The event was held at Dataran Bandaraya, Johor Bahru on 7th July 2012. There were several artists involved for the event including Shila Amzah who later performed at the Kotak Muzik showcase on the same date. The purpose of Kotak Muzik 2012 is to promote Trans Iskandar and public transportation to the youth in particular, and the public in general.

This is a first step towards engaging the youth of Iskandar Malaysia as the change agent for better public transport.

It's an annual event by JOHO Club and 2012 is the third year that Paso Bumbong has been held, always at the same place (Plaza Seni rooftop parking lot) and took place in the last week before Syawal.

Paso Bumbong 2012 is sponsored by IRDA and PAIM and supported by Plaza Seni.

The objectives for Paso Bumbong are to present an opportunity to give a platform for young entrepreneurs to market their products and services for one day at a strategic location as well as to get people connected with one another despite of their races or other issues in one friendly environment.

The concept of this event is to promote unity and strengthens the arts, heritage and culture through the sharing of information among the newer generation of Johor in particular and Malaysia in general.

As for the theme, lets go back to the 70's :)

Besides the sale of vintage items, DIY stuffs and own brand of clothing lines that will last from 3pm to midnight, we have also plan other activities for the visitors such as:
• Open mic session for those who want to showcase their talent either in poetry or singing. They will have to sing at least one “Hari Raya” song to set the mood.
• Gathering for JOHO lovers as well
• Break fast gathering
• Fesyen Gerek competition
• Booth competition

There will be 30 entrepreneurs who will take part in Paso Bumbong 2012. They are handpicked by us to ensure the quality of the products/brands that they are selling.

Perbadanan Pengangkutan Awam Iskandar Malaysia (Perbadanan PAIM) is proud to bring you “TransIskandar presents KOTAK MUZIK”!

This first of its kind event in Malaysia will take place on the 7th of July 2012 at Dataran Bandaraya Johor Bahru from 11am to 7pm.

“TransIskandar presents KOTAK MUZIK” will be the first ever acoustic performance in a bus at this scale in Malaysia. It surely marks a new era of promoting the use of public transport in Iskandar Malaysia, and perhaps, in the country.

It has been the vision of Perbadanan PAIM that someday, public transport will be the mode of choice for the people of Iskandar Malaysia. Using the unorthodox approach of branding in public transport, Perbadanan PAIM believes this can be done with the support from everybody.

As we know, youth is a force to be reckoned with, and Perbadanan PAIM believes that they are the perfect change agent. If you can make youth to use and promote public transport, you can make anybody to do the same. This event is held to get the attention of the youth on the importance of public transport, and to get them to ride together with Perbadanan PAIM towards achieving the world class public transportation service in Iskandar Malaysia we dream of. With the help of JOHO, a talented, aspiring and supportive youth NGO, that long winding road towards achieving our dreams has become shorter and definitely easier. Together, we will try to change people’s perception of public transportation in Iskandar Malaysia.

And what best to celebrate this occasion of youth inclusion in this noble effort, if not through music, talented locally produced musicians and well-known celebrities?

Statik, Medinee, Shila Amzah, Pesawat, Fahrin Ahmad and many more local bands from Iskandar Malaysia will do what they do best, and promote public transportation in a way never been done before. Shila Amzah, Pesawat and Fahrin Ahmad, will ride separate TransIskandar buses from three different locations, perform exclusive acoustic performance and chit chatting with their fans and commuters along the way, congregate at Dataran Bandaraya Johor Bahru for a grand finale with our local band Medinee, all with the same intention to make public transport the mode of choice for the youth of Iskandar Malaysia!

We would like to invite everyone who has bikes to come down to Kluang Mall and participates in the activities such as the Morning Ride (Ride for Charity), competitions, demo and many more.
