AUser Manager now include geolocation services using the free api from Ipinfodb, these info are showed on administrative side and are sended to the administrator via email, another usefull features is ip whitelist checking from HoneyPot for avoiding fake user registration, when someone try to register an account his ip is queryied on the honeypot database and a repsponse is returned back, so you can take the appropiate action depending on the honeypot response. The last new features is a new modality for approve new user registration, till now you can require to click on activation link for enable the account, now you can set an administrator approval before enable the account. Now with German language too.

Acontact Manager 1.5.6 is available for download, in this new version there are some innovative features, like the spam report from the HoneyPot project, geolocation, new layout and the old features for embed video and Map on every contact item, the form protection by Ajax Captcha plugin.

Make your Joomla website search with autosuggest capability like Google suggest was the goal of this reading.Let me tell you how it works before or if you prefer give it a try the search module is on the top right for example start typing 'a' or 'j' and wait just a little, tecnically via Mootools and Javascript an event handler for the keydown event is attached to the input search field. When something is typed in such an input field an AJAX http request are sent asynchronously to the server. An PHP functiion handles the request and sends results back using JSON.Via javascript these results are displayed using the DOM in a dropdown list. The data source used for retrieve word in this work is the joomla core_log_searcht table, but many other source of data can be used instead. In my opinion is very impressive and web 2.0 trendy.
