EventPraise Joomla! Event Template Released!

We're proud to announce the release of EventPraise!

EventPraise is the perfect template for a Joomla! based website featuring events. We've built on our experience in designing the new template for the CMS Expo, and brought that to you in EventPraise.

EventPraise was designed specifically, but not exclusively for the popular Joomla! extension Event Registration Pro from JoomlaShowroom. JoomlaShowroom consulted us and worked closely through development (so closely that we were sourced in assisting with their new site, which will feature a JoomlaPraise template).

EventPraise comes ready for your event with 3 energetic themes. 4 header background overlay images (trapezoid, squares, circles, and triangles) have been included for further variation.

We recently had the honor of speaking at the Austin JUG (Joomla! Users Group). Inevitably, when we open up to Q&A after any presentation, one of the first questions is "What Joomla! extensions do you install on every site?".

Here's the list of extension/templates/tools we use and recommend in no particular order.

JoomlaPraise Now Offers 3 Great Joomla! Plans

We're very exciting to announce the arrival of 2 new plans to purchase our JP SuperBundle of Joomla! templates, extensions and coupons! In addition to our 12 month $99 plan, we've added a 3 month $49 plan and 6 month $69 plan. Each plan allows unlimited downloads and unlimited domain usage, which isn't common for Joomla! club subscriptions if you look around.

The strength of each plan breaks down as so: 3 month : Lowest Investment | 6 month : Most Popular | 12 month : Best Value. The 3 month plan is best for a moderate Joomla! user that has a couple of fairly simple Joomla! sites. The 6 month plan is the most popular since it's right down the middle in terms of new releases and continued support. The 12 month plan is the best value for Joomla! developers and those with many Joomla! sites, as it's the cheapest in the industry for 1 year of unlimited access to a club with such variation.

This means for as little as $49 you can now get instant access to 26 Joomla! templates (including 3 admin templates), 19 Joomla! extensions, and 13 coupons to other Joomla! services and products, along with new releases! This already crazy cheap price can be made cheaper with coupons such as the current 20% coupon (which will end soon): BeatTheHeat. If you aren't already enjoying these goodies, head on over to view the new pricing and purchase your plan!

Joomla turns 4 - What does that mean for us?

First, let me start by saying "Happy Birthday, Joomla!" You've been a great friend to many of us and we can't know where we would be without you. It has been a long four years since you first donned your title way back in September of 2005, and we're all anxious to see what the next four years will look like. But, while many are pausing for a quick celebration and then continuing with their work, we here at JoomlaPraise wanted to ask a question:

What about the rest of us?

Now that Projectfork is in its 2nd Release Candidate, complete with upgrade paths, we've put it into maintenance mode to find remaining bugs and fix as we approach a stable. This allows us to move onto updating Projectfork extensions for 2.1, and develop new extensions!

Projectfork 2.1 RC2 released!

Yep, already RC2. Due to a (potential) critical bug in the update routine for the 2.0 series. The update would fail if your db table prefix was not "jos_". This is no longer the case with RC2. RC2 also contains a few minor bugfixes and theme changes (just restructured some of the code).

To update from RC1 to RC2, the procedure is as usual. If you want to upgrade from 2.0 to 2.1, please read and follow this guide step by step

[ Download RC2 ] [ Update from RC1 to RC2 ]
