At last, the wait is over. This is the moment we are all been waiting for. The very first time Stan Lee's magical creation will be interpreted on a film and will be along side all the MCU veterans such as Captain America (Chris Evans), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) etc. Ladies and gentlemen, The Sanctum is finally open. After Stephen Strange, the world's top neurosurgeon, is injured in a car accident that ruins his career, he sets out on a journey of healing, where he encounters the Ancient One, who later becomes Strange's mentor in the mystic arts.

Hmmm everything is looking good so far but I have some reservations for Tilda Swinton as the Ancient One. I need some more convincing. Coming in cinemas on November 2016, Doctor Strange is from Marvel Studios to be distributed by Walt Disney Pictures.

In case you are confused, yes that is Doomsday. And it appears that Doomsday is none other than a reanimated Zod (Michael Shannon). Basically, Doomsday is a Kryptonian Zombie now. Am I happy about it? Honestly, I don't care that much of the changes from source material. No matter how fans object on these changes, studios still havethe final say. So I just wish, it will work for the best.

Bahay Trese Opens Door to Public

Ever since my childhood, I was never a big fan of Horror Houses. I don't believe supernaturals exist but still the idea of it scares me a lot. That is why when I'm invited to enter Bahay Trese, I hesitated at first. But when I heard that it has a different concept, it captures my curosity. In the end, they managed to convince me to enter the cursed ancestral house.

Worlds of Fun, Lightbulb Moments Entertainment and Philippine Educational Theater Association join forces to conceptualize this haunted attraction that aims to elevate haunted and horror house genre. So instead of having your typical haunted house, Bahay Trese is described as an interactive theater experience. Every room inside Bahay Trese tells the story of a family killed during the Japanese occupation. As you explore the house, you will see yourself immersed in carefully designed sets and excellent theater actors that can blur the lines between fiction and reality. The experience will definitely play with your imagination and fear.

If you will ask me to compare it to other haunted attractions before, I honestly can't say because, I've been avoiding horror houses since forever. But if there is one thing that I believe is different is that the whole process runs through a story. Thus every acts you will see inside are not just random scary acts but more of a performance that depicts an specific story. No doubt, commisioning PETA is the best idea in this project. Being known as one of the best makers of great talent, the PETA certified actors who will scare you inside the house knows how to pluck your strings and scare the hell out of you.

So how is the experience? Yes it is scary, it helps that we are at least 5 person in the room, if we are any lesser than that, I could have fainted inside. Also, as much as I want to pay attention for the narrative, I'm too scared to listen to what the characters are saying. The carefully lit rooms perfectly plays with the fear of the unknown where you will never know what will happen or where you will run next.

I could be one of those few who actually like Alice in Wonderland when it came out in the theaters five years ago. Because of the mix to bad feedbacks, I really thought Disney scrapped the idea of making it a franchise. Good thing now I don't need to worry about it because the follow up is finally here. In celebration of the Church of Christ's (Iglesia ni Cristo) Centennial foundation, and in partnership with Viva Entertainment comes a story about a man in search of the truth that led him to a great calling as God's last messenger. This is the story of the Church of Christ, this is the story of Felix Manalo.

Felix Manalo is a sprawling historical epic that traces the origins and growth of The Church of Christ (Iglesia ni Cristo) that was officially established here in the Philippines from its humble begginings in 1914 to the present day. It is framed by the life of its first executive Minister, Felix Manalo, from the time of his birth in 1886 until his demise in 1963.

In the movie, Dennis plays the lead role of Ka Felix Manalo, Iglesiani Cristo’s first Executive Minister, while the gorgeous Bela Padilla plays the role of his wife, Ka Honorata.

Zack Snyder just dropped the biggest reveal of the week. The reveal is too big that it makes me forgot that Age of Ultron is coming tomorrow in cinemas. So here it is guys. The first look in Ben Affleck's Batsuit for Dawn of Justice.

Also here is the first teaser trailer.

Now that is one hell of a batsuit. In my opinion, it is better than the Nolan Batsuit. Finally, the Batman I know is here. I hope Affleck won't disappoint us on his performance.

A Surprisingly Awesome Fantastic Four Trailer Premieres

I'm one of those people who remains skeptical about Fantastic Four's decision to become a bit edgy both in plot and cast. But surprisingly I'm impressed with the first trailer and it definitely gave me enough reason to see the film. Watch the first full trailer here.

The trailer also introduced Dr. Franklin Richards played by Reg Cathey. Now this actually shed some light how Johnny Storm becomes black, because his father is black. Now how come Sue is white?

Well there could be a lot of possible answer to that. She could probably be adopted, or the unseen (or yet to be introduced) mother is white or my favorite theory that all of this race mixing is a result of mutation, which now gives the potential of connecting Fantastic Four and the X-Men Franchise.

We also got the first look on Doom played by Toby Kebbell. Judging the trailer, looks like he is the one who is left behind. I hope there is more that before he becomes Doom.

Video Game Characters Invades Earth: Pixels First Trailer Now Out!!!

Sony and Columbia Pictures now releases the very first trailer for the scifi comedy offering Pixels. Enjoy as you watch Adam Sandler, Michelle Monaghan, Kevin James, Peter Dinklage and the rest of the crew battle "Alien Invaders" straight from your childhood. Watch the trailer after the jump.

In “Pixels,” when intergalactic aliens misinterpret video-feeds of classic arcade games as a declaration of war against them, they attack the Earth, using the games as models for their various assaults. President Will Cooper (James) has to call on his childhood best friend, ’80s video game champion Sam Brenner (Sandler), now a home theater installer, to lead a team of old-school arcaders (Dinklage and Gad) to defeat the aliens and save the planet. Monaghan plays the team's unique weapons specialist.

The action-comedy is directed by Chris Columbus from a story by Tim Herlihy and a screenplay by Tim Herlihy and Timothy Dowling, based on the original short film of the same name by Patrick Jean. The film is produced by Adam Sandler, Chris Columbus, Mark Radcliffe, and Allen Covert.

This movie is based on a short film created by a French Animator/Director back in 2010 and back then the short already have this dark nature. Behind all those colorful pixels, most of the people already think that the movie will become some kind of a virus infestation rather than an exact Alien Invasion. Not sure how Sony's writers will pull out this Alien plot thingy but I'm concerned that now it is becoming a comedy. And I'm more worried because it is an Adam Sandler brand of comedy. I hope everything works well together. Let us all cross our fingers.

Red Turnip Theater Closes Season 2 with Time Stands Still

It's been a while since the last time I saw a play from this new theater company that is currently receiving raves around the metro. After a very successful set of shows with Closer, Cock and Rabbit Hole, Red Turnip Theater is back for another exciting and sensible production set to close their well received second season.

"Time Stands Still" tells the story of Sarah (Ana Abad Santos), a photojournalist based in a war-torn Middle East and her struggles as she comes back to America with her boyfriend James (Nonie Buencamino). Sustaining some major injuries from her job, can Sarah face domestic life not knowing that it is something much worse than the War she experienced in the east. Keeping up with their chosen niche to stage intimate straight plays, Red Turnip Theater picked "Time Stands Still" because it is a material that can surely stimulate your senses and teach a thing or two about commitment and responsibility.

L-R: Nonie Buencamino (James), Ana Abad Santos (Sarah), Rem Zamora (Director), Nor Domingo (Richard) and Giannina Ocampo (Mandy).

The cast will be top-billed by Ana Abad Santos (Metro Manila) who will play Sarah and Nonie Buencamino (Barber's Tale) as her boyfriend James. I've known everyone from this production and I already know how they work. So just based on experience, I can confidently say that this next offering from Red Turnip is something theater buffs out there can surely enjoy whether it is to satisfy their artsy tastes or just simply be entertained with a beautiful straight play from a group of talented artists.

Marvel Studios presents “Avengers: Age of Ultron,” the epic follow-up to the biggest Super Hero movie of all time. When Tony Stark tries to jumpstart a dormant peacekeeping program, things go awry and Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, including Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, The Incredible Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye, are put to the ultimate test as the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. As the villainous Ultron emerges, it is up to The Avengers to stop him from enacting his terrible plans, and soon uneasy alliances and unexpected action pave the way for an epic and unique global adventure.

Marvel sure knows what does the market wants, so they gave us more Hulkbuster. I just hope they didn't reveal too much. Because I will be disappointed if there's ain't more than what they already showed. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy all this big reveal but sometimes it gets out of hand and they reveal more than what should be left until the movie comes out on May (April in Philippines).

Who's excited, raise your hands. I know there's a lot of hands out there so we just need to calm our nerves until April 22, 2015 as it premieres in local cinemas nationwide. The Avengers: Age of Ultron is from Marvel Studios to be distributed by Walt Disney Pictures.

Everything Changes: Terminator Genisys First Trailer Now Live

Paramount Pictures now unveiled the very first trailer for the Terminator reboot titled Terminator: Genisys. Watch the awesome trailer after the jump.

The year is 2029. John Connor, leader of the resistance continues the war against the machines. At the Los Angeles offensive, John's fears of the unknown future begin to emerge when TECOM spies reveal a new plot by SkyNet that will attack him from both fronts; past and future, and will ultimately change warfare forever.

Though it may look like a fresh reboot, it also appears that Terminator franchise wants to embrace a multi-universe concept. To people who are not familiar with the concept, it just simply means that different realities can co-exist without thinking of inconsistencies. They already did it with the new Star Trek movie franchise and I guess even Fox's X-Men franchise. The concept just wants to tell us that the new movie is still part of the original Terminator franchise including the previous Terminator Salvation. The concept could be a little confusing but you'll get use to it if you focus enough.

It is also nice to see that T-1000 of Terminator 2 is back Oh and do I need to say more, Emilia Clarke aka Daenerys of Game of Thrones is now the new Sarah Connor. Another plus is Matt Smith of Doctor Who is also in the cast, not sure though if he is in the first trailer but I'm very excited to know what is he actually playing.

And finally we got to see Arnold Schwarzenegger facing off with an earlier version of T-800. And when I say earlier, I mean a younger looking Arny will appear on this film. Kudos to the special effects crew for this one.

Looking forward for this reboot. I hope it is really good and I hope it is the start of something more concrete franchise that Salvation failed to achieve. Coming in cinemas next year, from Paramount pictures to be distributed by Columbia Pictures.

The Legend Begins: First Trailer for WB's Pan

Warner Bros. releases the first trailer for their Peter pan adaptation. Watch it after the jump.

From Warner Bros. Pictures comes, “Pan,” a live-action Peter Pan feature directed by Joe Wright (“Atonement,” “Pride & Prejudice”).Offering a new take on the origin of the classic characters created by J.M. Barrie, the action adventure follows the story of an orphan who is spirited away to the magical Neverland. There, he finds both fun and dangers, and ultimately discovers his destiny—to become the hero who will be forever known as Peter Pan.

Personally, I'm still not so excited about the movie but I will admit that it caught my attention. This trailer so far didn't show the film's main strength. That could be good if we are dodging spoilers but still they really need to throw something here to catch everyone's attention. Of course Wolverine is the biggest chunk of that bait but do they have something that can surpass all Peter Pan adaptation done in the past. I really hope they will.

Opening next year, Pan is to be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.

The Park is Now Open: First Trailer for Jurassic World Now Live!

Well this trailer is suppose to be released not until Thanksgiving but I guess something happened again and the studio is forced to release it earlier. No official statement from Universal, though. Probably they just want to release it earlier. Oh well. Either way watch it now after the jump.

The much anticipated action adventure “Jurassic World” is opening exactly one year away, so Universal Pictures has released three new images from the upcoming sequel to mark the occasion.

The movie takes place 22 years after the horrific events of the original “Jurassic Park” and is set on a fully functional park on Isla Nublar.

The stills give us a first look at characters of cast members Chris Pratt (upcoming “Guardians of the Galaxy”), Bryce Dallas Howard (“Spider-Man 3”), Nick Robinson (HBO's “Boardwalk Empire”) and Ty Simpkins (the kid in last year's “Iron Man 3”).

Directed by Colin Trevorrow from a screenplay by Trevorrow and Derek Connolly, “Jurassic World” also stars Jake Johnson, Irrfan Khan, Vincent D'Onofrio, BD Wong, Omar Sy, Judy Greer, Katie McGrath, Lauren Lapku and Andy Buckley.

Opening across the Philippines on June 10, 2015, “Jurassic World” will be distributed by United International Pictures through Columbia Pictures.

We're Back Pitches: Pitch Perfect 2 Trailer and Poster Released

Hey awesome nerds!!! Universal pictures finally released the very first trailer for the sequel of the sleeper hit, Pitch Perfect. See the Bellas and Treblemakers as they compete for the world championship of A cappella. Watch the trailer after the jump.

The Barden Bellas are back in Pitch Perfect 2, the follow-up to summer 2012’s smash hit. The comedy is helmed by Elizabeth Banks, co-star and producer of Pitch Perfect, and produced by Paul Brooks, Max Handelman and Banks. Writer Kay Cannon returns to the team to pen the next chapter.

I'm so worried about this sequel because we all know that it is a hit before because the film got all the freedom to do whatever they want. Now that the franchise is already recognized globally, I'm afraid that record labels will be the one who will control the repertoire for the film and producers will start to dictate what are the things they want to show on the film. If that happens, I hope it is for the film's advantage and not just for their pockets.
