The SGM was at Fort Hood the past month and snuck home to AL Wednesday night.  Only a few of his co-workers knew that so Thursday when the events started unfolding at Hood, people started to worry.  Fortunately, all hands were accounted for and people we know at Hood were also.

But yet, in the veil of the Religion of Peace, a weak-minded man took the lives of 13 people.   He remains in a coma in a civilian hospital in the Central Texas area, hiding from his crimes.  This is a terrorist attack on our soil again.  From what I’ve been able to determine is he wanted out of the Army.  He had hired a lawyer to find out how to pay the Army back (the all volunteer Army btw) for his training and to get out of his contract.  Instead of waiting for that process to reach a conclusion, he decided that murder was the answer.  This is a cowards way out.  This man is a coward plain and simple.  I hope and pray justice is meted out accordingly in military fashion.  Watch for the far left loons to call this man a victim of his own religion and hate toward him.   I say piss off with that sentiment – he deserves whatever punishment is handed down to him.

My teeth have failed me again.  I have fought keeping teeth in my head most of my life.  Again, I have another cracked tooth and there is no way to save it.  So on Monday, I lose another one.  I wish I knew what the heck I had to do other than what is recommended just to keep what I have (sigh).

Let’s keep everyone in our military in our prayers today.

The people that protected this coward in the Army need to be brought to task.  The P.C. progressives are destroying this country from the inside out.

The biggest trick this year is the Pelosi Health Care bill … it is chocked full of rotten candies that’s for sure.   TAXES TAXES TAXES is the word of the day for this bill.  So much for Obama promising now new taxes on anyone making $250,000 or less.  YOU LIE!

From American’s for Tax Reform dug through the bill and found these:

Employer Mandate Excise Tax (Page 275): If an employer does not pay 72.5% of a single employee’s health premium, the employer must pay an excise tax equal to 8% of average wages.

Individual Mandate Surtax (Page 296): If an individual fails to obtain qualifying coverage, he must pay an income surtax equal to the lesser of 2.5% of modified adjusted gross income (MAGI) or the average premium.

Medicine Cabinet Tax (Page 324): Non-prescription medications would no longer be able to be purchased from health savings accounts (HSAs), flexible spending accounts (FSAs), or health reimbursement arrangements (HRAs). Insulin excepted.

Cap on FSAs (Page 325): FSAs would face an annual cap of $2500 (currently uncapped).

Increased Additional Tax on Non-Qualified HSA Distributions (Page 326): Non-qualified distributions from HSAs would face an additional tax of 20% (current law is 10%).

Denial of Tax Deduction for Employer Health Plans Coordinating with Medicare Part D (Page 327): This would further erode private sector participation in delivery of Medicare services.

Surtax on Individuals and Small Businesses (Page 336): Imposes an income surtax of 5.4% on MAGI over $500,000 ($1 million married filing jointly).

Excise Tax on Medical Devices (Page 339): Imposes a new excise tax on medical device manufacturers equal to 2.5% of the wholesale price. It excludes retail sales and unspecified medical devices sold to the general public.

As I mentioned in my WeekEND Wrap, Al Sharpton was part and parcel to the denial of Rush Limbaugh bid to be part owner of an NFL Team.  (Wonder how Micheal “I fight dogs” Vick felt about that?)

Rush was asked by the The Wall Street Journal for an op-ed on the events of the last week and being Rush, he provided.  In his op-ed  Rush mentioned Sharpton’s involvement in the Tawana Brawley incident in NY, and Jackson’s racist’s comment “Hymitown”.   

Now ol’ Al is going to do what he does best – sue Rush for defamation.

When you stop laughing – its not a joke.  This hate-filled man for all that is white and/or conservative is going to sue someone for telling the truth.  Sharpton was found guilty of defamation in the Tawana Brawley case … so what is he going to sue for?

This sounds like the typical reaction of Sharpton and his ilk.  

Get out the popcorn, this is going to be fun folks.

Rush responded to the hatred and vile attacks in an op-ed for The Wall Street Journal – The Race Card, Football and Me.

As I explained on my radio show, this spectacle is bigger than I am on several levels. There is a contempt in the news business, including the sportswriter community, for conservatives that reflects the blind hatred espoused by Messrs. Sharpton and Jackson. “Racism” is too often their sledgehammer. And it is being used to try to keep citizens who don’t share the left’s agenda from participating in the full array of opportunities this nation otherwise affords each of us. It was on display many years ago in an effort to smear Clarence Thomas with racist stereotypes and keep him off the Supreme Court. More recently, it was employed against patriotic citizens who attended town-hall meetings and tea-party protests.

These intimidation tactics are working and spreading, and they are a cancer on our society.

Rush was singled out because he is a conservative, and in Jackson & Sharpton’s case, white. The race issue in this country was supposed to have died with the election of his Highness Obama – but it has intensified. The lefty’s answer to anything they cannot justify is by calling someone racist. This means they have no answer period. It shows a lack of class on their part, and in fact – how stupid THEY really are.

So how have you all been?  As you can see, I’m still not in the blogging mood.  I just don’t have enough to say day in and day out to post anymore.   Sure I could ponder the destruction of this country by Obama & his ilk, but after awhile, that gets old.  We are all sitting tight until the 2010 elections where we can throw the bums out of Washington, on both sides, and put some people in place to put the reins on Obama.

Outside of listening to podcasts from Rush & Mark Levin, I listen to two other podcasts for pure enjoyment.  Those are The Grizzly Bear Egg Cafe with Mike & Clayton and Scattercast from my friend Sean P. Aune.  Trust me, you won’t go wrong listening to either and can be obtained from iTunes.

Sean has mentioned on occasions feeling something he talks about on his podcast might give me pause – and actually he has been wrong.  But I so appreciate the thought.

Today I have to jump in and give a few of my thoughts on his last podcast.  And no Sean, I’m not mad – you are going to be surprised. (Anything that can pull me from my blog funk is very much appreciated!!!)

Schools.

OMG! Please YES YES YES!!!!  Uniforms, 24/7 days with NO vacation … okay .. that does sound awful doesn’t it?  I hate school buses.  If kids could go to school at night and have them back home by the time I have to get on the road and drive to work in the morning I would sooooo love it.  And they wouldn’t be able to get in trouble because they would be locked inside a building and away from gangs, etc.

Hee hee close your mouths.  I didn’t say it would work, just a dream of mine.

But on the school day extension that Obama wants to do — IT’s STUPID AS HELL!!!!  This is the President that now goes around saying that education is important, speaks to the students at the beginning of the school year, yet he signed a bill shortly after taking office that stopped school vouchers for the poor in Washington DC to be able to attend better schools instead of the crime ridden, failing ones run by the government.  I don’t see how extending the school day in a shitty ass school that spends more money, tax money, on paying for guards for the teachers and putting bars on the windows with bullet proof glass would help students get better grades?  How about teaching the three R’s again.  How about stopping the need for kids to have to take college prep courses in FIFTH FUCKING GRADE!!

Oh and Sean, yes I agree – uniforms for everyone!  I grew up on the wrong side of the tracks, our family were poor farmers and couldn’t afford the fancy, smancy clothes and and was picked on daily because of it.  Uniforms would have prevented that and probably would have stopped years of self-loathing about being a failure.  That didn’t all come from being picked on in school, but it didn’t help.

There is also no need for summer vacation anymore.  That part of what Obama wants to do makes sense to me.  The longer days, no – year round, yes.  Sean is right  on this.  Here is a good read on the history of the American School Year.

While just sitting in a classroom longer does not necessarily ensure children will learn more, many American teachers spend weeks every fall just reminding kids of what they forgot over the summer.

There are a lot of ways to improve the way the American school system works. Personally I believe uniforms for all and year-round would be best.

I do not WANT or LIKE Obamacare. Its Hillarycare repackaged.

I do agree there has to be massive changes to the way health-care is provided, from the provider of the payments on down.

I work in the insurance industry – not the health-care part, but in the industry enough to understand how things work on the back end people don’t see or know about.

There is no need to totally change what we have now just for a few people that “need” health-care.  Not all people in this country want insurance.  There are the young who believe they are 10 feet tall and bullet proof and the very rich who can pay out of pocket for any treatment needed.

The biggest problem I have is health insurance doesn’t pay 100% for check-ups.  I believe if they did, say two a year, more people would go to the doctor when things are giving them problems and maybe prevent further problems.  There are people in this country that will never go to a doctor, no matter how much you fine/tax them for not going or for not having insurance, you just can’t make them.  Fining people for not having insurance is stupid – and just another tax on the poor that can’t afford it.  Where that idea came from must have been a drunken poker game in the congressional closet (eye roll).

Fixing a broken system (ie: Fraud in Medicare/Medicade) would be a lot cheaper than scraping the whole thing and starting over.  This is not about a written exam where you can ball up the notebook paper and start over.  This is about people’s lives.

And finally – health insurance is not a right given by the Constitution of the United States.  Insurance provided by the employer was initially started as a benefit to attack and keep good workers.  Where it turned into a “requirement” I have no clue.

Congrats to Rio!!!

So, how was your week?  Mine was great!  The weather is turning to fall here in central Alabama and my sweaters are busting at the seams to be set free and worn again.  The cool nights and windy days remind you of how great God really is and the beauty of his creation shines through.

The SGM is off to an old stomping grounds for us.  Packing and going TDY is nothing around here, and Roscoe has seen his share of him going off for a few weeks.  Well Cassie hasn’t.  You remember we adopted her and we are unaware of her previous history with humans.  The packing was unsettling to her.  She hid in the back of her crate.  We had to stop and give her special attention and over emphasis this was a happy event.  We wondered if her previous family broke up and the husband moved out and this might be why she was so upset.  She seems to be fine after the first night with him not here, and I will make sure to spoil her rotten so she knows we love her!

So I’m off to Facebook to play some games, maybe do some shopping today, but life is great!

Netanyahu commended delegations from the U.S. and other nations that walked out on Ahmadinejad’s disjointed address Wednesday night calling Israel and the U.S. “warmongers.”

“To those who gave this Holocaust-denier a hearing, I say on behalf of my people, the Jewish people, and decent people everywhere: Have you no shame? Have you no decency?

“What a disgrace! What a mockery of the charter of the United Nations! Perhaps, some of you think that this man and his odious regime threaten only the Jews.

“History has shown us time and again, that what starts with attacks on the Jews eventually ends up engulfing many others.”

Obama stood up there and apologized to the world for the United States being as great as it is.  I pray to God each day the 2010 elections ties his hands and in 2012 we send him back to his community organizing in Chicago in 2012.

It was a horrible week for Lee County Alabama this week.  Deputy James Anderson, a three-year veteran of the sheriff’s office, was struck down during a traffic stop on Thursday.  The suspect, a punk with a criminal history, ran him over with his car.   May God wrap his loving arms around his family – the whole family – and help them through this horribly time in their lives.  Thank an officer of the law this week.

For the longest time, those of us with half a brain cell firing on all cylinders knew that ACORN was rotten.

I’m not going to rehash all the events of the last days (with more to come) because unless you’ve been living under a rock [ie Charlie Gibson], or are liberal, you know what’s been going on.

The biggest scum of all are the seven (7) senators who voted to KEEP TAX PAYER FUNDING TO SUPPORT ACORN is NY Senator Kirsten Gillibrand.

(Of course there is the big pond scum in the House as they rebuke Rep Joe Wilson for the same thing they did to Bush, but that’s another post)

Senator Kirsten Gillibrand just couldn’t vote against poor ACORN because they do such good works and, “the truth remains that thousands of New York families who are facing foreclosure depend on charitable organizations like Acorn for assistance.”

Ms. Gillibrand – the tax payers who “are facing foreclosure” would probably much prefer their TAX MONEY didn’t go to support people WANTING TO START A BROTHEL!

I have been fighting a nasty cold that turned into bronchitis. The need to get well over rode lot of what was going on in my life.

In addition, like another blogger I read, I’m out of steam and anger.

The embarrassment of turning 9/11 into an “Interfaith Day of Service” and going to a Habitat for Humanity to paint the kitchen WILL NEVER STOP A TERRORIST FROM ATTACKING AGAIN! BHObama is the worst president to ever lead this country. Yes, Jimmy Carter has been kicked from his roost.

My anger is no less than it was before, but if I blogged that’s all there would be.

Joe Wilson, R-SC, has the balls to call BHObama what he is and the left damn near have orgasms over the audacity of the right. These people are the same smucks that booed President Bush during his speeches to Congress; that have called Tea Party goers Nazi  Thugs and Mobs. They are so fucking hypocritical it just stops you in your tracks. How these people, educated at Yale and wherever, could even think these things is beyond any explanation. I have to stand there with my mouth open in awe of the stupidity of it all.

You people that voted for Obama – I hope the hell you’re happy. You have voted in a communist; a community organizers that would shit his pants and roll up in a ball if another 9/11 happened. Hell Biden would probably do the same and stick his thumb in his mouth.
