The unanimous Declaration of the thirteen united States of America

When in the Course of human events it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

Even as he conceded that the issue isn’t “sexy,” President Obama announced Monday that his administration is prioritizing energy-efficiency standards for home appliances, specifically light bulbs.

The president announced that the Department of Energy will accelerate the spending of a “$346 million investment under the Recovery Act to expand and accelerate the development, deployment and use of energy-efficient technologies in residential and commercial buildings. (ie: OUR tax dollars at work)“

When is he going to reach down and tell me when I can turn on my coffee maker or how much TP I can use?

The world is crashing and burning around him and he’s more worried about controling the lights in our homes and businesses than the brutality in Iran.

Obama’s move to totally send the country back to the stone age, behind Afghanistan & Iraq, is moving forward fast and furious.  The Cap & Tax Bill, 1200 pages long, unread – with a 300 page addendum added at 3am Friday, also unread – passed the house.  Pelosi was so desperate for votes, she drug Patrick Kennedy out of rehab to vote (eye roll).  Now it goes to the Senate.  It better die there.  There are eight republicans that need to be sent packing back to civilian life next election for voting for this lie, and 42 democrats that need thank you letters for voting against it!

If you listen to Rush, you heard yesterday about the article by L.E. Ikenga posted at American Thinker.  It pegs who and what Obama is to a capital T.  Take a few minutes to read it.  You will be shocked.

I have talked to many people, as has the SGM(r), who are experiencing Buyer’s Remorse over Obama.  They claim he is too much like Bush (ie: Transpancy Promised) and that is not what they voted for.  Obama is a politician first and foremost – HE LIES!!! 

As much as I want to laugh in these people’s faces and say I Told You So, I won’t.  I won’t stoop to their level of stupidity.  They know they are ignorant and stupid for having voted for him, I won’t rub it in.

Paterson To Senate: Work Together, Or Else

Governor David Paterson says enough is enough. Fed up with the fighting in Albany, the governor is ordering Senators back into the state house – and he plans to keep them there until the squabbling stops.

Since two dissident Democratic senators teamed up with Republicans to form a coalition government and oust Majority Leader Malcolm Smith, angry Democrats have refused to take part in Senate sessions and have hidden bills and agendas from the coalition. Paterson threatened both sides that they’d better show up to the special session or he’ll schedule sessions on weekends and holidays until they find a resolution.

“If the senators do not cooperate with this order, I will convene a special session everyday until they do,” Paterson said. “That includes Saturdays and Sundays, that includes Fourth of July. There will be no excuses, and there will be no tolerance to non-compliance to this order.”

This is what happens when liberals don’t get their way.  They try and take their toys (the people’s work) and go home.  I have no use for Paterson, or NY State either, but this is reflective of the leadership in Washington.

PIA Opposes Kennedy Proposal to Create Health Insurance “Navigators”

A proposal to award grants to public and private entities to conduct public education, distribute information and assist with health insurance enrollment is ill-advised, according to the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA).

The proposal is part of the Affordable Health Choices Act introduced by Sen. Edward M. Kennedy (D-Mass.), chairman of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor & Pensions.

Section 3105 of the Kennedy bill says American Health Benefit Gateways would be created in every state, serving as a health insurance exchange. A “Navigators” program would award grants to public and private entities to “conduct public education; distribute fair and impartial information regarding health plans; [and] assist with enrollment and provide information that is culturally and linguistically appropriate for the population.” The bill stipulates that both health insurance issuers and current independent insurance agents would be prohibited from participating in the Navigators program.

“This proposal would give federal grants to groups with no background or expertise in health insurance the responsibility to advise businesses and individuals regarding their health insurance decisions,” said PIA National President Kenneth R. Auerbach, Esq. “In addition, it would specifically exclude licensed health insurance agents or brokers from participating, which makes no sense at all.”

“Consumers already turn to their local professional insurance agents to help them navigate the current maze of health insurance choices,” Auerbach said. “There’s no need to recreate that system. The Kennedy proposal would use taxpayers’ dollars to set up what are, in essence, federal insurance agencies for health

They want to re-invent the damn wheel.
