Before the launch party getting started, the registration counter is set up at the Hennessy V.S.O.P NYX Concept Space for the invited media and guests to register and each of us was given a special hennessy glove.

Here we are~ at the Vertigo club! The place there was so packed with lots of people during the launch party until I hardly walk around!

The atmosphere was heated up by the DJ in the house, DJ Blink!

Basically right after the launching, the whole night was just simply filled with non-stop of adrenaline pumping musics that made the crowds went so high and shake their body on the dance floor!

And of course, free serving of Hennessy V.S.O.P drinks for all the guests in the party that night! But I only managed to grab few glasses before the free flow session ended. :(

Last Monday I got invited to the end product of Tiger's Living It Up collaboration which turned out to be a phenomenal party! A major highlight of the end of 2011, as Namewee, Douglas Lim, the Chong Sisters and ManHanD together with Tiger Beer threw a spectacular celebration at Vertigo, The Gardens to mark the introduction of Tiger’s new brand tagline, “Here’s to Tiger Time”!

Tiger Beer is set to throw a spectacular celebration to pay tribute to the open to winning mind-set embraced by Tiger drinkers today. Tiger’s Living it Up party, which will be put together by a group of local celebrities consisting of Namewee, Douglas Lim, Vanessa Chong, Pamela Chong and ManHanD, is going to be a phenomenal year-end party happening this 16 December 2011.

The party will mark the introduction of Tiger Beer’s all-new “Here’s to Tiger Time” campaign, which aims to celebrate the value of ingenuity and the “Open to Winning” mindset embraced by the modern and savvy Tiger drinkers today.

Tiger’s ‘Living It Up’ party will be a collaborative effort by the chosen celebrities facilitated by Tiger, with each celebrity representing an open to winning mind-set from their own distinctive backgrounds. Thanks once again for the invite to one of the hottest party of the year, Hennessy Artistry Hola happened at Malaysia International Exhibition & Convention Centre (MIECC), Mines Resort City!

This time it was filled with lots of famous celebrities from Australia, America, Korea, Taiwan as well as local well known DJs. Different musical genres from the East and West were brought together to heat up the atmosphere and rocks the incredible night away!

Five promising DJs in Malaysia will compete in front of a panel of industry experts in Heineken Found @ Thirst DJ Search in Mist Club this Saturday, 26 November. The champion will not just take home RM10,000 in cash but form a career overnight by sharing the same stage together with the World’s No. 1 DJ - Tiësto in Heineken Thirst in the Sepang International Circuit this 10 December!

The five finalists ranging from an advertising executive, videographer to a hairstylist were chosen from dozens of applications in this year’s Heineken Found @ Thirst DJ Search. With the impending start of the annual Raja Muda Selangor International Regatta, Tiger Beer has kicked off events with a celebration of all things sailing with an impressive nautical-themed Tiger party.

The festivities started at the Royal Selangor Yacht Club, which is the site of the launch of the premier offshore passage race in Malaysia.

Following on from the successful partnership forged between the Regatta and Tiger, the Tiger Challenge Trophy was officially presented by Tiger to the Regatta at an unveiling ceremony during the celebrations.

The Tiger Challenge Trophy will be awarded to the IRC boat and skipper with the best offshore passage race performance, based on the lowest points score. The offshore passage races are run from throughout the Regatta passage; Port Klang to Pangkor, Pangkor to Penang and lastly, Penang to Langkawi, which is the last stop for the Regatta.

With the fine sails rigged, the vessel will make a grand sight as Vega oversees the Raja Muda Selangor International Regatta from start to finish.

One of Asia’s most distinguished Regattas, the RMSIR takes place over 240km consisting of three overnight passage races. Malaysia’s First Award-winning Nyonya Thriller Movie, 'LIZARD'!

Presented by E House Theatre & Production (E House) that brought us Malaysia’s first award-winning Nyonya thriller performed in Chinese, “Lizard” is a 90-minute theatre performance that examines the relationship between family members, the manipulation of feelings and trust, and men’s obsession to control.

The story revolves around a conventional Chinese family with a paralysed mother who can only communicate through her eyes; The father who had faithfully remained at the side of his wife; The eldest son who owns a café at the age of 24; A conservative and bashful elder daughter who writes for a living; And the youngest daughter who is abrasive and unafraid to challenge the authority.

Despite the differences in characters, the parents and siblings have been living in harmony and every members of the family understands and respect the rule of coming home for dinner together regardless of work or social activities.

Unknowing to them, a dark secret is lurking amongst the family, as it was perfectly disguised and as cold-blooded as a lizard. Disorder will soon hit the family, while the secret will be unravelled by a surprise visit of the aunt who had stayed overseas for the last 20 years.

E House, the team behind the production of “Lizard” is the same folks who brought us “Casa”, their first production which had won three awards during the ADA Drama Award 2010, namely Best Supporting Actor, Best Stage Design and Best Graphic Design. E House producer and founder, Emiko Ten founded the team at the young age of 24 in 2010, and had since made her name as one of the youngest and most successful stage producer.

Milo Low, the director of “Lizard” and playing the role of the father was the winner of ADA Drama Award Best Supporting Actor for 2010 and 2011. On top of that, he is also a theatre educator with 12 years of experience, and is a trained performer in body rhythm, directing, acting, and script-writing.

Art direction is by Suzuki Cheng, who is a Macanese and formally joined E House as a partner after her first collaboration with the team in “Casa”.

Tiger FC Big Away Game with Old Trafford experience at SOULed OUT, Sri Hartamas!

The Manchester United vs Manchester City viewing party organized by Tiger FC at SOULed Out, Hartamas on last Monday saw hundreds of fans gather to show their passion for their beloved clubs at the first Big Away Game of the new Tiger FC season!

For the first time in history, Tiger FC brought the on-screen Old Trafford experience to life in SOULed Out as the Citizens visited the Devils’ turf for the much-anticipated Manchester derby with a specially constructed replica of the Old Trafford stadium entrance and a model statue of the United Trinity, paying tribute to the Manchester United fans who were present to watch the match.

Passion and rivalry which hung in the air throughout the match was further escalated by Tiger FC’s trademark, stadium-like atmosphere and a great viewing environment.

In true Tiger FC Big Away Game fashion, fans were treated to a street viewing party environment with plenty of football-themed games and activities throughout the evening. As Tiger FC takes on the role as the “Fan of Real Fans” this season, the United and City fans who declared their loyalty to their clubs upon registration were given exclusive Tiger FC premiums at each goal scored by their beloved club.

“Being a regular at Tiger FC viewing parties, we had high expectations of tonight, especially because it was a Manchester derby. As it turns out, we were amazed by the atmosphere and the Old Trafford-themed environment at this Big Away Game. Having being a Manchester United and Tiger FC fan for years, it sure is a pleasant surprise to see Tiger FC paying tribute to the real fans this season,” said Vivian Tan, a die-hard Manchester United fan since 1996.

The Manchester derby, which concluded at 6-1 to Manchester City, left the fans rejoicing at the final whistle as Manchester United fans watched on with their heads hung low. Lucky fans Lim Kok Sheng and Lim Wei Kiat also left rejoicing, as they walked home with a 40” Sony LCD TV and a Tiger FC Prepaid Card preloaded with RM1,000 respectively after the lucky draw conducted by Sean Koh, Marketing Manager of Tiger, with emcees Adam C and Natalie at the end of the match.

GAB Oktoberfest Party at SOULed OUT Sri Hartamas!

As mentioned in my previous post, Guinness Anchor Berhad (GAB), the leading beer and stout company in Malaysia, returned into its fourth year running of annual Oktoberfest festival in Malaysia with a bigger selection of iconic beers such as its official Munich Oktoberfest beer, Paulaner Oktoberfest Bier, as well as plenty of fun-filled and exciting parties, special promotions and events throughout this October!

On October 9th, I was honoured to be invited to attend the GAB Oktoberfest Celebration party happened at SOULed OUT Café & Bar, Sri Hartamas. All the beer lovers including me were treated to a night of fun-packed activities, an array of delectable German-infused food, and a vast selection of beers such as the award-winning Tiger, Guinness, Heineken, Anchor, Kilkenny, Strongbow and Paulaner!

Historic Moment with Heineken Green Room!!!

Recently just ended one of the great events with historic moments that people will talk about for years to come, non other than Heineken Green Room happened on last Wednesday, 05 October 2011!!! How historic is that? More than 2,000 people made their way to KL Live for an incredible Heineken Green Room moment that combined the talents of Beth Ditto and her band Gossip, Australia’s Art vs. Science and a stunning turnout from local talents Mini Compo, Twilight Actiongirl and JeeHoe and Hype’embeats!!!

Heineken Green Room is no stranger to magic moments: in its on-going journey to bring you ever more cutting edge and unique music experiences, Heineken Green Room has played host to memorable moments like New York punk funkers The Rapture striking up their KL anthem ‘House of Jealous Lovers’ or the jaw-dropping spectacle of 2manydjs’s Radio Soulwax audio-visual experience.

The event that night started late with the performance by DJ XU (LapSap) and indie hero Jit Woei!

Some of the pre-event highlights of this Heineken Green Room have included a workshop in guerrilla video-making techniques for music makers and our own series of high concept guerrilla videos. The video for Mini Compo, the brand new collaboration between DJ XU (LapSap) and indie hero Jit Woei's single ‘Give Away’ also served as a great teaser for Heineken Green Room. The really cool results of that project – a collaboration between director Kelvin Oon aka ChaseyLain of Twilight Actiongirl and artists Mini Compo, They Will Kill Us All and Goldfish& Blink – can be seen online at www.youtube.com/HeinekenMalaysia.

As a result there was a high turnout of fans to see their early evening debut performance. News of their show had the online world buzzing, with support flashing around the hashtag #GreenRoom, and their fans streamed into KL Live shortly before they came onstage to enjoy a set that mixed live keyboards and vocals, DJing and original songs in an inspired ‘decks ‘n FX’ show that perfectly showed off their 80s synth pop influences.

In fact, this Heineken Green Room was an inspired success and celebration for local talent. It’s part of Heineken’s wider goal of engaging with local music and creative content makers across all of its music platforms!

Soon after the DJ performance, it's time for the Australia artists, Art vs. Science to perform on stage and their appearance certainly helped to dial up the energy levels early on!

The Sydney trio is one of the hottest acts in Australia today, regularly being compared to acts like Daft Punk. But their combination of traditional rock set up – guitars, keyboards, drums and vocals – pushing out a hard edged electronic dance sound was a huge hit with the Green Room crowd, despite knowing only a couple of the tracks.

One word to describe the lead singer, Beth Ditto...powerful!

Beth Ditto decided to do an impromptu walkabout in the crowd during closing number ‘Heavy Cross’. Leaping across the stage barriers she dropped down into the audience to greet many of Heineken’s music fans personally, hugging and shaking hands with dozens of them while the band attempted to keep track of her movements and keep the music on track.

For some it came as a shock, jolting them out of their expectations of what music events are and should be, physically breaking down the barriers between artist and audience. It’s also a measure of the power of Heineken Green Room to bring you completely spontaneous and unplanned new experiences!

Arthur's Day 2011 was an Explosive Success!

Arthur’s Day 2011 was an explosive success with more than 20,000 fans in attendance at the concert held in Speed City Kuala Lumpur on the 23rd of September 2011. The culmination of the 24 hour global celebration here in Kuala Lumpur featured an EPIC live music concert by international music supremo - TAIO CRUZ and a stellar cast of local and regional acts such as SOLER, Mizz Nina, Dragon Red, Prema Yin, the Kartel group featuring Joe Flizzow, Take-T from Japan and Dandee from Thailand.

This year, as a reward from GUINNESS® Malaysia for a great 252 years, fans and consumers needed to attain these money-can’t-buy exclusive invites to the event. More than 20,000 fans partied the night away at the concert this year!

“We had an exciting line-up of live performances from some of the world’s most renowned international, regional and local acts. The concert this year really created an EPIC experience for fans and consumers, perfect to celebrate the life and legacy of this remarkable man, Arthur Guinness.” said Yap Swee Leng, Marketing Director of Guinness Anchor Berhad.

In the run up to Arthur’s Day, GUINNESS® also hosted a series of live music parties aptly themed arTHURSDAY and unbelievable promotions on the world’s favourite black brew throughout the month of August and September. Consumers enjoyed the celebrations at over 2000 pubs and bars nationwide including Sabah and Sarawak.

10 lucky winners from East Malaysia also won an all expense paid trip to the Arthur’s Day concert coupled with the GUINNESS® VIP Treatment. The winners stayed at the Palace of the Golden Horses, driven to the concert in a limousine, hosted at the VIP lounge and experienced the Arthur’s Day concert in true VIP fashion.

A key initiative for the Arthur’s Day celebrations this year was to promote local emerging talent by providing them a platform to showcase their music locally and globally. In line with this, a competition was launched to discover up and coming Malaysian music acts to be part of the Arthur’s Day line-up. 6 talented local bands vied for the opportunity to perform with global and regional artistes in the music industry.

"King of the Streets" crowned at Tiger Street Football Grand Finals!

Still remember the Tiger Street Football that I mentioned in my previous blogpost? The Grand Finals of the football match just took place at One Utama open carpark on 18th September 2011. This award-winning Tiger Beer’s innovative football offering, Tiger Street Football which started its campaign in Asia this April successfully ended its search for the Kings of the Streets!

The world-class street football tournament saw team ADC Florianopolis of Brazil winning the first Tiger Street Football Tournament and walking away with the grand prize of USD30,000 after a stunning display of sublime street play throughout the day!

Today’s grand finals saw qualifying teams from Malaysia, Singapore, China, Thailand and Vietnam as well as two invited professional street football teams from Brazil and Holland battling it out in high winning spirits, they fought to the last whistle in the fast-paced, adrenalin-pumping game.

My Comment:
If you love watching comedy, then Johnny English Reborn is the movie that you will find it very entertaining! The movie storyline is kinda simple and straightforward, but it is full with laughters. Starring the movie as the main character, Rowan Atkinson (whom we get to know him better as Mr.Bean!) is undeniably a very talented comedian/actor who knows how to make his audience laugh their ass off by his physical humour! In this movie, beside the comedy scene, there's also some action parts which are being portrayed humorously and have many funny fighting scenes. And of course in this secret agent related story movie, you will see there are lots of latest hi-tech gadgets being shown. If you have seen the previous Johnny English movie in 2003, you will realise that this Johnny English character is almost similar to the character of Mr Bean. The difference is this "Mr.Bean" can speak fluent english and play as an idiotic version of James Bond in a smart formal suit with bow-tie.
Overall, it's a very funny movie to watch and suitable for everyone. Recommended for a whole family to watch and have a big laugh together! :)
