Hey, everyone! I'm excited to share the Bumped by BLANQI brand (exclusively available at Target.com) with all of you today!

Before I go any further, let me make a confession: I've been blogging for 3 years and this is my first vlog review I've ever done. Things I learned about myself during this new experience: 1. I ramble a lot, 2. I have no idea how to properly use my video camera, 3. I am horrible at editing out awkward transitions in reviews. So, bear with me, ladies. I've got some great things that I want to share about the Bumped by BLANQI brand and I hope my review doesn't make you cringe with every "um," "so, yeah," and back scratch. Enjoy!

As a mom of two and my third on the way, I figured I was a pro at this pregnancy thing and knowing how to dress my belly. Hah! I was wrong. How did I never know that there was such a thing as a support tank? I could have really used one the last two times, especially when pregnant with Lucia and I was sure my hips were going to fall off. I've been wearing the Bumped by BLANQI maternity support tank for almost a week now and I have loved the comfort it's given me with this already-growing belly. I'm sure this thing will become my saving grace in the last months when I'm sure I can't carry my watermelon much longer.

The BLANQI ladies are giving my readers an opportunity to win a Bumped by BLANQI cami (maternity or postpartum, black or ivory) and $25 Target gift card this week! Here's how to enter:

I was not financially compensated for this post. I received a sample for review purposes. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience.

some bump style

The bump is getting bigger, and some little people are really starting to notice. I have to say, being pregnant this time around is much more fun when your toddlers semi-understand what's going on in your belly. Lucia is, obviously, more interested than her big bro, and always asks to check out the baby under my shirt. She'll talk to the baby, kiss my belly, then get distracted by my belly button and try to pinch it...

I can only imagine what she'll be like when the baby is actually here. Lucia is naturally a nurturer and loves taking care of her baby animals and dolls. Come November, I'm sure I can expect my mini-me to be following me around at all times asking to help nurture this little one.

The blog has been on the back burner for quite a while to allow me to take some much needed time away to focus on exciting stuff in our personal lives. God's throwing a lot of changes our way, for the better, and I've just been soaking it all in, away from the computer. I hope you don't mind. While I've been away, here's what I've been thinking about, praying about, and focusing my time on:

Our next home.
We're moving next month, but we have no idea where. It's weird, because I'm totally at peace about the entire situation. God's been present and so clear during this house hunting process. We've looked at several awesome houses that we've wondered about being "the one," and I feel like God has continuously given us very clear answers. It's been quite relieving, actually, knowing that we're hearing from Him right now. I think once we find our home, He'll make it clear that it's for us. I'm just hoping that the time comes soon! We're pretty sure we have our exact location figured out, and that's been quite exciting. We've been spending a lot of time in the area checking out everything it has to offer, and dreaming about getting to raise our children there soon.

Baby #3.
Promise you won't be annoyed if I brag for a tiny, tiny bit? This baby has been so nice to its mama during her first trimester. You guys, I have had almost no sickness during this pregnancy! I sometimes wonder if God just knew I wouldn't be able to handle morning sickness on top of house showings, keeping the house clean, and wrangling two toddlers during the winter months. I'm really not sure how I would have been able to get through all of that while being sick. I haven't had much time to pray and think about this little one because of everything else going on right now, so I'm really looking forward to more relaxing moments this summer when we're settled into a new home. I'm also looking forward to dressing this bump.

Life with toddlers.
These children are growing like weeds. We're celebrating their birthdays this weekend with family, and it's crazy to believe that I'll be a mom of a three and two year old. We're talking about potty training Chia, and thinking of putting them both in twin size beds when we move into our new home. It's bittersweet, but I'm really excited for this next stage of their lives. Both of them are becoming such smart, independent, strong-willed, stubborn, hilarious kids, and I'm seeing them shape me into a better person. Parenthood is hard, people. But, the sacrifices and struggles we go through to raise our kids is so worth it. Lucia and Josiah have taught me the importance of family and what truly matters in life.

My handmade business.
Pardon my ambiguity here, but I can't share much about this quite yet. Just know that God is changing the direction of my business and where He wants me to use my gifts. I might be able to share more in a couple of months, but for right now, just be excited for me and know that God has a pretty awesome plan in store. I'll be using my free time to try some new things and see where it takes me. Prayers appreciated!

I hope all of you have a great week! Also, if you're a new mom or expecting mother, stay tuned for a fun review I've been cooking up with an awesome brand this week!

A Good Word from Nadine

I'm starting to allow my sponsors to share a bit about themselves each month on my blog and post about a topic close to their heart. It's a great way for you and I to learn a little bit more about them before you even click over to their blog ad! One of my favorites, Nadine of A Secondary Heartbeat, will be sharing with all of you today. Be sure to check our her blog when you're finished falling in love with her:

Okay friends of Moriah, I'm so excited to be introducing myself to you today. If I already know you, hello again, and if we haven't yet met, well hello there!

My name is Nadine. It's pronounced "nay-deen" not "nah-deen", so if you say it wrong, I'll cringe inside but forgive you immediately and probably never correct you. So I'll correct you now, since we're just meeting, and I'll hope that you remember it for when we meet in person. I'm sure that'll happen right?

So. Blogging. It's pretty fun. I quite enjoy it. I started blogging about six years ago on a blog that has long since been retired. My current blog a Secondary Heartbeat is named after and inspired by the battle between flesh and spirit that scripture speaks much of. I really sense a battle in myself so often, to chose between living for God or myself. I want to honour God with my words. My blog is my attempt at that.

I blog because it requires me to be disciplined. Not only in writing each day, but also to consistently be filling myself up with truth. If my desire is to point to Jesus in my writing, I have to be going to Jesus all the time in my everyday life. I love that my blog forces me to do just that.

There is this beautiful portion of scripture in Colossians 3 where we're told to put on compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness and patience. We're called to bear each others burdens, and to forgive as God forgives. Finally we absolutely must put on love, live in peace, and be thankful.

I think that I can do maybe one of these at a time. You? But seriously, while this portion is beautiful and sounds just fantastic, I fail at it a lot. A lot, a lot.

I am trying though, and maybe you are too. So let's keep okay. Let's accept grace right now because that is something we all need. Let's let Jesus wrap us up nice and cosy tight with grace, mercy, and love.

And friend, whether I know you or not, Jesus loves you. Regardless of how many things you can click off your list of good Christian. It's easy for me to get bogged down in the things I'm not good enough at yet, but today, let's just get caught up in the fact that the grace of Jesus covers us.
I'm starting to allow my sponsors to share a bit about themselves each month on my blog and post about a topic close to their heart. It's a great way for you and I to learn a little bit more about them before you even click over to their blog ad! Sweet Megan of She Does Justice will be sharing with all of you today. Be sure to check her out when you're finished being encouraged by her good word for today:

Hi!

I am so excited to be sharing with you guys today!

I am Megan.

I am a wife. A mother of four. A lover of Jesus.

I love to plan. I love to create. I believe in the importance of community.

I am an advocate for orphans and for the poor.

I want every single person to know that they are loved and important.

I aim to act justly. To love mercy. And to walk humbly.

When we started the process of adopting from Africa, I started making and selling scarves as a fundraiser. It ended up being far more successful than we ever anticipated and really felt the Lord's nudge to open an 'official' shop.

I wanted to share my passions. My passion for life. And family. And Jesus. And justice.

So I started She Does Justice.

She Does Justice is an advocate for those who need one. It is a space where organizations who are working for the good of others are recognized. It is a community of people who want to show love to the 'least of these'. A place where we strive to show those in need that they are known and loved.

I have made it our mission to support organizations and individuals who are working to reach those in need, near and far. It doesn't matter how big or small the organization, if I believe in its mission then I want to help support it. Each month I spotlight an organization or individual. At the end of the month I write a check to that organization taken from the overall sales in the shop that month. Each month I donate at least 10% of our gross profit to the organization to help further their mission.

The shop is focused on items that work with your lifestyle. Most of the items are handmade by me or other small business owners who have partnered with She Does Justice. These items are made with you in mind. I hope you love them just as much as I do!

Thanks so much for letting me share a bit about the story behind She Does Justice! I have been so blessed by this online community. The prayers, support, and encouragement were more than I could have ever asked for as we worked (and waited and cried and prayed) our daughter, Shiloh, home. And I am so excited to share that she is finally HOME as of two weeks ago!

I also want to extend a special offer to you guys! When you place your order from the She Does Justice Shop, use the coupon code 'MORIAHMAKES' and you will receive 10% off of your order! I hope you'll check out She Does Justice soon!

Yep, only 10 weeks. Yep, only one baby in there. I made sure of it. It appears my body has this baby growing thing down third time around. It actually decided to start popping out around 6 weeks, making for many awkward hangouts with friends when I was still trying to keep this baby a secret. Now that we've announced, it's been so much easier to let this bump hang out. And I have to admit, a lot more fun to dress.

I haven't had much time to enjoy this growing belly as much as I have my others in the past. We've been quite busy around here with the stomach flu, car issues, and house showings that have finally led to an *almost* sold house (PRAISE THE LORD). I'm excited for everything May has to offer us with some spring weather (again, finally), the possibility of a new home, and the kids' 2nd and 3rd birthday party. Then, as things start to settle down, I can take more time to enjoy and plan for Baby #3.
A couple years ago, I met up with an acquaintance and our little baby girls for coffee and time to chat about the online world of blogs and businesses. Little did I know that Jessi of Studio Studios would soon became one of my dearest friends. Her online doors have been open for over a year now, and I have loved watching her creations being shared across the nation. It's been so fun seeing some of my favorite bloggers wearing her products and watching her beautiful shop become so successful!

I'm excited to share one of Suzie Studios' newest headbands with all of you today. It's the Anniston Ashley Headband, named after Jessi's adorable little girl. When I put it on Lucia for the first time, I made sure to let her know that Jessi made it for her, and now she always reminds me that it's Jessi's headband. Unfortunately, for me, Lucia rarely wears headbands anymore, but this one is an exception, I'm assuming only because she knows where it came from. Well, that, and most likely the comfort compared to most other elastic headbands we own. She hasn't said a word about it being on her head, so I think she often forgets it's even there. It will surely get some use this summer as the temperatures get warmer and Lucia needs her hair out of her face. Personally, what I love most is the print, and the joy of how I'll get to style it with all of Lucia's new summer clothes!

I'm starting to allow my sponsors to share a bit about themselves each month on my blog and post about a topic close to their heart. It's a great way for you and I to learn a little bit more about them before you even click over to their blog ad! The lovely Ashlee of Your Friend Ashlee will be sharing with all of you today. Be sure to check her out when you're finished being encouraged by her good word for today:

"Just as everyone has a different
life and background, same is to be said about how they came to blog and why.
Personally, I’ve blogged on and off for over four years. It first emerged out
of a class assignment, then turned to something personal, and eventually grew
into something I enjoyed because of the goodness that came from it.

As a social media marketer,
part-time blogger, and full-time social media junkie, I am constantly meshing
my offline and online worlds. Purposeful content is what every blog needs. I
want to share my purpose and encourage others to find and pursue their
purposeful way of living. On my blog, I share friendly
advice about business, marketing, faith, and life. And you can always expect
encouragement embedded within each post.

Through blogging, God has taught me that authentic friendships can be
found anywhere, just like His love. I have learned no story is too small to
share. God has also shown me that beauty, strength, integrity, and truth are
found in those who seek Him. For me, blogging has brought me to communities
full of purpose, love, and direction.

I'm excited to do something a little different on the blog today and have my lovely cousin, Rayna Jaye, share some of her hair wisdom with my readers! Rayna is a hair stylist, handmade business owner, photographer, wife, and mother of two awesome kiddos. Through the years, she's perfected her quick and simple technique to style her hair and manage to get out the door on time. Many of Rayna's fans have asked her to create a tutorial showing how she curls her hair, so we thought this would be the perfect place for Rayna to share! Enjoy (also, please enjoy my other cousin, Kelsey, the videographer):
My oldest boy turned three years old this weekend.

To celebrate his big day, Josiah requested birthday cookies and brinner. We let him open a handful of presents at the coffee table, and made sure to videotape the expression and excitement on his face as he opened Cars character after Cars character. It was easily the happiest day of his little life.

I can still remember the day I found out I was pregnant with Josiah. Joseph and I had recently returned from our Colorado vacation celebrating our first year of marriage and were getting settled into our new home. I was feeling sick, took a test, and quickly realized I was going to be a mom. A few months prior, Joseph had made the tough decision to not pursue grad school, after spending months and months studying for his GRE, receiving awesome scores, and getting accepted into the one school he had dreamt about. We felt God telling us to start a family instead.

So, we listened, and watched God bless us with Josiah.

At a time when we thought grad school and career made the most logical sense in our situation, God had other plans for our family. We listened and were blessed with a boy that has taught us much more than grad school could ever have. We've watched God's plans unfold in our life as we've continued to listen, no matter how illogical they may have seemed, and see Him provide our physical and spiritual needs. Josiah's little life has been the perfect example of what happens when you listen to God.

Happy 3rd birthday to our little man!

It may have been my birthday month, but I sure am glad it's over. From having the house on the market (that's still on the market), to celebrating holidays, to being stuck indoors, to more snow, and having the kids sick more than usual, this new month already feels like a breath of fresh air. This first week of April has already made me more energized and ready for Spring. The snow is finally melting, birds are returning home, and I've been able to retire my winter coat... and my SAD lamp. The wait was so long, but so, so, so worth it.

To celebrate this week's beautiful weather (barely 50 degrees, but we'll take it!), we met up with our favorite walking buddies, Jessi and Anniston. I don't think we've been able to walk outside with them since October! The reunion was wonderful and the kids were so excited to finally be outside in the sun.

Jessi's magical neighborhood has a really great bakery and fun book store that we frequent every time we visit. The bakery always supplies the kids with a free raisin breadstick to keep them satisfied while they play with toys. And the book store, you guys, is the most amazing place to hang out! Minneapolis locals, if you haven't visited the Wild Rumpus then you are missing out! My toddlers are finally old enough to appreciate this book store that allows wild chickens to run loose and have other fun animals on display for the kids to enjoy. We had the best afternoon soaking in the kids' excitement and letting them run wild.

"'For I know the plans I have for you,' says the Lord. 'They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.'"

(Jeremiah 29:11)

Although Spring is finally on its way, there are still many things I continue to long and wait and trust on the Lord for.

::cough cough NEW HOUSE cough cough::

All of these long cold months, I continually reminded myself that God never promised me Spring. What He promised me was a plan, and one that was much better than my own. Right now, I know that God is not promising me that our house will be sold soon. But, He has promised me a plan. One that's for good and that gives our family a future. The picture I have in my own head of the "perfect situation" may not be what God has in mind for us right now. So, I'll continue to wait, trust in His promises, and be thankful for Spring.

Howdy, friends! I'm just popping in to share a couple links, announce some updates, and show off pictures of my cute kids.

The shop is reopening! We will be starting out with limited items and limited quantities, but as I find more time to craft, I'll add more goodies for you and your girls.

I'm also contributing some of my goodies to The Tethered Crate for April. Have you heard of it?

I wrote a very personal guest post for a blog, that I was hesitant to share at first, but have now decided to post a link here. You, being my readers, deserve the opportunity to read it. And if you disagree with my opinions, it's perfectly fine with me. This is my experience of growing up as a child without a father and my thoughts of how beneficial both a father and mother are to raising children.

I'm also posting over at the Influence Blog today. Come hear my thoughts on being called to love.

The Influence Network will start selling conference tickets April 1st! Stay tuned for more details. I've been pretty giddy about it all week.

What things are you excited about this week? Is the snow finally starting to melt on your side of the world? Because it is here and I just found a moldy orange in my front yard. Mommy's Time Out is a series that my friend Jessi and I decided to start doing once a month as a way for us to get creative and do something productive during our kids' nap times. For this month's DIY project, we decided to make some cheap, kid-friendly arm candy. To check out Jessi's tutorial for her Studded Wrap Bracelet, click here. Below is my tutorial for a simple Fabric Cuff:

Step 3: When you're near the end, put some hot glue on end of fabric to help secure it when finishing the other end of cuff.
Step 4: Hold fabric on hot glue until it dries, then twist upward to cover the other end of cuff.
Step 5: Cut off remaining fabric, fold edge under, and hot glue that sucker down.

I always love reading Danielle of Sometime Sweet's "Currently" posts, and heck, they're super easy to write for myself. So, I thought I'd share my own post about what's currently happening today.

Watching: Josiah over the video monitor... he's supposed to be napping, but instead is playing with his stuffed animals in his bed. This kid gets more and more hilarious everyday. He's started naming all of his stuffed animals and toys. My favorites are Sister Bone (a Calico Critter bunny) and Rumpown (a Beanie Baby rabbit).

Listening to: Silence, for once. It feels nice not to have any music playing during afternoon nap time, especially after what I usually had to listen to in the car with the kids. Their music playlist is growing at obnoxious speed. Josiah asked to add the Bob, The Builder theme song today. So, I'm sure you can assume what the rest of it sounds like.

Planning: The kids' birthday party in May. Josiah will be turning 3 in April, and Lucia will be turning 2 at the end of May, so I figured we'd have them share their parties this year, especially since it will be all the same people attending. Right now, their favorite show is Daniel Tiger's Neighborhood, so I'm trying to think up some clever decorating ideas that they'll appreciate. Anyone know where I can find a trolley?

Thinking About: Eventually moving out of this house. We've been on the market for a month now, and I wasn't expecting to still be here. We've had about 40 showings by now and no offers on the table. Joseph and I are constantly encouraging each other, reminding ourselves that God has a plan for us and a plan for whoever is supposed to live here. He's definitely in this and we just need to be more patient. So, we continue to wait.

Looking Forward to: My birthday on Friday! We're actually not going to be celebrating me that evening, but attending a birthday party for our pastors' little boy. He is one of Josiah's best friends and I'm excited to see how Lucia and Josiah react to their first pizza party at a train store. It's going to be a fun evening!

Reading: Strengths Finder 2.0. Hayley sent each of us on the Influence Team the book and asked for us to take the Strengths Finder test last month. I loved finding out a little more about myself and how I can better use my strengths within our team. Have you ever taken the test? Here's what my strengths were: Belief, Includer, Relator, Harmony, and Developer. We all had a good laugh over it in our meeting.

Making Me Happy: My kids, as always. They are what's keeping me sane this winter, oddly enough. Yes, they've had some stressful days, but for the most part, they've been really great these past months. Winter has been hard, but we've learned to make the best of being stuck indoors. My in-laws ended up giving us one of their old cars, so we've been able to get out of the house a lot more and spread our germs at the mall. Once Spring hits, these two are going to be the happiest kids on earth!

So, what are you up to today? Feel free to write your own "Currently" post and leave a link in the comment section below. Hope everyone has a great day, whether it be 80 degrees or -5... I'm not bitter.

Pursuing Her Passion:: L of All Glorious Within

I'm excited to share a really great lady with all of you today. Meet L of All Glorious Within. She's sharing an awesome story of, not just how she's pursuing her passion, but how God makes a way for anyone in order for them to pursue their calling. Be encouraged, and be sure to hop on over to her blog when you're finished reading:

"I recall sitting on a bus travelling across India the summer after I graduated high school, some seven year ago now (how’s that for crazy!). We had just completed the short-term project we were on working and were heading back home to the Middle East. While on the trip I had developed some friendships with several girls who didn’t live in the same city as I did, and we weren’t sure when we would see each other again. One of them asked me if I was going on the second trip leaving for Africa a week later.

I replied with a no and they soon asked me why I wasn’t going. I informed them I didn’t have the money that was needed to go on yet another mission trip. I hadn’t done any fund raising, and really I hadn’t thought about another trip. I was just super excited to have gone on the first. They asked me what I planned on doing instead. And really, the answer was nothing. I had the whole summer ahead of me before college started the other side of the world. But I didn’t have any set plans. So they challenged me about coming with them.

I remember feeling frustrated that I hadn’t thought about it before. That something like money would stop me from going to Africa for the first time because I hadn’t planned. And I felt that nudge. I felt the Lord challenge me about whether I thought He could provide.

I secretly felt it was hopeless, there was only six days between landing and leaving for Africa.

But I chose to trust. Thinking I had nothing to lose.

After returning home, through God’s provision of visas, parental support and financial support being provided within 24 hrs of returning home from India, I found myself on another plane a few short days later.

Once arriving in the bush of a small village in northern Tanzania, I fell in love. It really is so true that Africa just gets under your skin. A place full of people who passionately love God and others who desperately need to hear about Him.

A place where I hope someday to return, to adopt and maybe even use my passion for photography.

I’m not yet sure how all of these passions are linked to one another. I only know that the Lord continues to work them further into the depths of my soul. His provision on my high school trip really proved to me that sometimes when God has something for you, the doors will open like you’ve never seen.

For now, I am working on furthering my photography skills, working on involvement with The Mocha Club and networking with so many incredible women with a heart for Africa and adoption. As for what happens next, only God knows J

I really think that in order to find your passion, you need to walk with eyes open. Find what inspires you, encourages you to seek the Lord and listen to those small nudges. And be ready to let go of things when He asks us to.

He will show you where He wants you.

At least that’s my prayer." - L

"I waited patiently for the Lord;

he turned to me and heard my cry.

2 He lifted me out of the slimy pit,

out of the mud and mire;

he set my feet on a rock

and gave me a firm place to stand.

3 He put a new song in my mouth,

Those of you who follow me on Instagram were most likely aware of it. And I apologize in advance for this post, because it's basically just an iPhone photo dump from the both of us. Enjoy.

It was the first *real* vacation Joseph and I have taken together since having kids, and WITHOUT KIDS. Five full days of only us, while the children spent quality time with all of their grandparents up north in the frozen tundra.

It was just what we needed to spend time reflecting on our marriage, our family goals, and the things we have to look forward to in our near future. We pretended we were old retirees and did what old retirees living in Florida do: eat, nap, and ride bikes.

We spent evenings walking Fort Myers Beach, a day on Sanibel Island cruising bike trails and watching dolphins, an afternoon at the Thomas Edison & Henry Ford Winter Estate and Museum (per my husband's request), and ate at every restaurant on our to-do list.

My husband returned to Minnesota looking like a lobster and I returned fat from Chick-Fil-A.

Also, here's a special treat for you. This is what a dad who works three jobs looks like when he finally gets time to relax:

Just kidding. He does this every day. Yeah, I'm that lucky, you guys...

Today, I'm excited to introduce you to a beautiful soul that I've been blessed to know through The Influence Network. Meghan of Eat, Live, Make first contacted me when I posted about the Pursuing Her Passion series in our Influence Network forums. Ever since, I became drawn to her blog, her photography, and her sweet personality. I hope you are just as encouraged as I am by Meghan's story of how she is pursuing her passion:

Since I was a small child I have been driven to create. I was always encouraged to learn to sew, paint, participate in local theater programs and build things. And as I have grown into an adult, my soul still drives me to create. I feel as if I have not had a good day unless I have been able to make something beautiful with my hands.

Somewhere in middle school between soccer and basketball games, trying to be popular (ha!) and hanging out with my flute (yes, I was in the band) I lost track of my passion. When high school came around I was playing varsity soccer, golf and basketball and my knees gave out on me. My spirit was crushed when I learned I could no longer participate in sports, so my soul found comfort in the one thing that made it come alive: art. I lost track of this yearning again during the business of college, and am now learning what it means to create beautiful things again. I don't think I have ever "found" my passion, I think God keeps awakening it inside of me.

One of the ways I have always expressed myself is through the medium of photography. I have always wanted to be a professional photographer, but allowed self doubt to get in the way of following that dream. And then one day last year I just did it. I had some birthday money in my pocket, and I bought a website and a business license! I decided that I was not going to let my doubts and fears hold me back anymore, and allow God to go before me in my new quest to bring beauty into others lives through photography. I still can't believe I made that leap, and I have learned SO MUCH since doing that, but I am always excited to see what doors God opens for me as I step out in faith.

The more I spend time with couples and families while I photograph them, the more I realize that God is blessing ME through knowing THEM! I love being able to capture life as it is, raw and beautiful. One of my favorite parts of the process of photography is the "digital darkroom" editing. I love seeing children's smiles across my screen and seeing the love between families, friends, and lovers. I feel like with each photograph I am making time stand still, giving families a gift they will have with them for the rest of their lives. I also write a personal blog, and am in the process of launching a gluten free blog. Through these avenues, I share the story God has given me, and plan to connect people to the information they need to live a healthy gluten free lifestyle.

My advice [for women trying to find their passion] would be to listen to the spirit! Whatever God has placed within you, whether it be music, or dance, or a passion for children or the elderly, or creating beauty... follow what He has purposely placed inside of you!! God does not make mistakes when He gives us gifts, and each one of us has a unique gift. Do not allow doubt, and fear to hold you back! You will not be perfect when you start, so do not hold yourself up to a standard higher than what is reasonable (I have definitely done this plenty of times!). Follow the Spirit as He guides you in your journey and you won't go wrong:).

My favorite current favorite Bible verse is:

"My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness. Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses so that the power of Christ may dwell in me."

(2 Corinthians 12:9)

My absolute favorite quote is found in a wonderful book called Walking on Water:

"The purpose of the story or music or painting is to further the coming of the Kingdom, to make us aware of our status as children of God and to turn our feet towards home."

- Madeline L'Engle

Thanks so much for sharing your story with us, Meghan!

The Influence Network community is having a fun linkup for existing members and conference attendees to get to know each other more personally before our conference in September. Although we have the benefit of creating relationships and networking in our forums, there are some of us that are still quiet ::cough:: ME ::cough:: and may go more unnoticed from time to time... yes, I am a forum lurker. I admit it!

So, as a way to get to know each other a little better, we've been asked to share the following info:

3 things about yourself

1 thing you have learned using the Network

1 photo of yourself that you absolutely love

Get to know me:

I'm a huge introvert, but I love being surrounded by people. I am a great listener, and love encouraging, including, and relating to others.

My husband and I live in a musical. You really should have seen the songs and dances we came up with on our Florida vacation last week. Actually, it's probably best that you didn't.

My guilty pleasures: fast food, sweatpants, and Smash.

One valuable thing I've gained from The Influence Network: the opportunity to be surrounded by encouraging, inspiring, loving, influential, like-minded women who are looking for ways to use their creative gifts, life experiences, and wisdom to spread the Gospel. And in turn, be challenged on a daily basis to make sure I'm living the life God has called me to live by growing deeper in my relationship with Him.

For those of you participating in the linkup, would you mind visiting the link behind you on the linkup and leaving an encouraging comment? Thanks!

I'm excited to browse around on the Influential Women linkup and meet some new faces. I'm blessed to be doing community with all of you lovely ladies!

Since becoming part of the Influence Network team, I've been intentional to ask myself every day:

Who am I called to influence? Am I using the gifts God has given me to be influential in the lives of others? How can I utilize the Gospel to be an influence today?

These little ones are who I've been called to influence. God has given me the important responsibility of raising them up to be, not only civilized human beings, but:

people who love and personally know Jesus,
people who know how to hear God's voice as they pursue their calling,
people who seek Godly wisdom and truth,
people who have a pure and grace-filled heart,
people who are authentic and utilize the creative gifts God has given them,
people who have a desire to sacrifice their needs in order to love, serve, and bless others.

But, it all starts with their father and I. We have the responsibility of expressing and stressing the importance of these life-giving, self-sacrificing qualities and desires in our own lives. We have been called to lead by example and make sure these little ones see that we love and personally know Jesus, that we know how to hear God's voice, that we have a desire to bless others, and so on and so on.

As a mom, it's easy to fail at this on a daily basis. As a wife, it's also super easy to fail at this on a daily basis. But, that doesn't make my responsibility any less important or impossible to accomplish. By serving a God who gives grace and pours unconditional love over me, the Gospel is what fuels me up on a daily basis to pursue my calling and raise these little ones.

As you know, I serve on an awesome team that overlooks The Influence Network, a community of like-minded women looking to make much of Jesus. We hosted our very first conference last year, and are excited to now start planning for 2013! For those interested, we've got some exciting news on the official Influence Network blog today. I can hardly wait for what God has in store for this year's conference!

our love story

I shared our love story on my friend Danielle's blog last week. So, I thought I'd post the link for all of you here.

Looking back at it, I really wish I would've had Joseph write it. It probably would've been a lot more romantic and filled with a lot more detail than my basic summary. He's obviously the emotional one in our marriage. haha Maybe someday I'll get him to share his side of the story. For now, enjoy mine!

de-cluttering and listing a house in a day

Hey, friends! We decided on Tuesday night that we wanted to list our house on the market TODAY! So, yeah. We spent all of yesterday de-cluttering, scrubbing clean, and patching holes for pictures last night. We're hoping to sell this place ASAP so we can put an offer on a beautiful home we found for our family. Please pray for us!

While cleaning out our closet, I thought I'd list some clothes I never wear anymore on my Instagram Pop-Up Shop. If you're on there, follow @MoriahsPopUpShop to buy my clothes!

Hope everyone has a romantic V Day. We're spending ours with the kids. Dinner, Aldi, and Home Depot. Sexy, right?

If you don't hear from me for a few days, assume that it's because I'm stuck driving around town with two toddlers while we're having showings on our house.
