kamurang pernah kah TERbeli something ? tidak sengaja TERbeli....

Ok..that happened to me AGAIN yesterday....I wanted to get a running shoes because the one I owned now, sudah 3-4 kali kena jahit and kena gam...kasian sudah rupa kasut tu....so, went to Palm Square @ Centrepoint....sampai sana, I like one of the Reebok shoes but it's in PINK color, so I said to myself, "hmmm nevermind...I can get it in other shop...or paling tidak pun next time lah".....

After keluar dr sport shop tu, sia singgah skijap di shop sebelah jak sebab sia nampak 60% 70 % SALES. Thought of..hmm why not...window shopping jak lah....

Guess what, I end up getting 3 high heels which actually now sia pikir balik,"napalah sia beli..plus I'm not into the bling bling heels....".....Bleh tahan bah tu salesgirl, bida pun kaki sia bila pakai tu heels, tapi sia TERpengaruh and bought those three.....kangkang-kangkang lah sia jalan pakai high heels ni (jarang pakai heels yg tinggi2 ni)....and the maroon color, sia kira mau pakai for Grace&Vincent's wedding......ekekekkekekkeke...itupun kalau sia dapat cari dress in that color....kalau lain color dress sia, TERpaksa lah beli another new heels.....LOL

Skarang, sia susah hati that I spent a lot on getting those heels which I'm suppose to get a running shoes (sudahlah sia ada games on Saturday ni....terpaksalah sia bersukan pakai kasut tinggi ni)....

Oh geez....looks like I have 'almost' abadoned my blog....my bad.....

Anyway..how's everyone doing? I for sure haven't go the chance/time to update my beloved blog....I have so many things to share but....maybe I just didnt know how to put it into words...So for now, all I can say...things have been kind to me..and I hope the same for all of you....

Hmmm..I cant believe that I just turned a year older yesterday...so what did I do on my birthday....getting burnt! hahahah...I am happy being a year older, some says it sould be a year wiser too...I'm not so sure about that...but all I can say, I am loving everything around me...

Last week I attended two dinner parties, one was more on formal event and the one was our dearest friend's wedding reception.

Congratulation to Nelly Ho and hubby...

The formal event was held in STAR and was really happy to see my colleagues. The only comment I can say about the event was Atama as the invited entertainer did REALLY BAD. I am sorry to say this but OMG...I really couldnt wait for him to actually finish his segment (it wasn't me alone feeling that way...the few tables behind and next to us pun complaining) and the dancers....come on guys...all the breakdance and stuff, I think they can do better next time...

Oh my...

lately i'm soooo hooked with American Idol (obviously...to watch Adam Lambert, Danny and Scott...also Simon Cowell..hehehe).
And I have some new show that I have to watch too....:-
* The Hills (MTV)
* The Amazing Race ( one of my fav and of course because of Phil mah..kan Lins kan..hehehhe )
* Oprah show ( sometimes buduh ni sia nangis2 depan tv when the show is all about something touching/emotional..heheh )
* ANTM
* soon....Project Runway
* Heroes ( I have the downloaded copy but....I really dont have time watching it..so decided to watch it on tv saja...after all, it's my TV night on Wednesday and Thursday )
* Best of Saturday Night Live
* My new fav show, is One In A Million...did u watch the recent episode? Esther is reallllllly good....

On the other note pula, I dont find this year's AF any interesting at all...I actually fell asleep watching it last night....boring...

Sipadan Island, pride of Sabah and of course Malaysia, and arguably the world’s top dive destination has been shortlisted as one of the contenders to make the New7Wonders of Nature list, which seeks to determine the world’s top seven “clearly defined natural sites that have neither been created by nor significantly altered by humans for aesthetic reasons.”

Sipadan is Malaysia’s only oceanic island, rising 600m from the seabed. It was formed by living corals growing on top of an extinct volcanic cone. This took thousands of years to develop. Rarely seen diving sights are a common occurence in Sipadan: eg, schools of greenback turtles & big-eye trevally in tornado-like formations.

We will be up against heavyweights such as:

(i) the Galapagos Islands, famed for their vast number of endemic species and was visited by Charles Darwin, contributing to the his theory of evolution by natural selection.
(ii) Bora-Bora Island, some say this is the world’s most beautiful island.
(iii) Rock of Gibraltar
(iv) Mount Everest
(v) Grand Canyon
(vi) Ayers Rock
(vii) The Amazon
(viii) Black Forest
(ix) Niagara Falls
(x) Danube River
(xi) Dead Sea Lake
(xii) Great Barrier Reef

So as you can see, this is not about being terbilang anymore, this is firmly in tersohor realm, so every vote counts.

The organisers are the very same ones who organised the wildly successful New7Wonders of the World campaign, where more than 100 million votes were cast.

It is likely that this new campaign would receive at least the same level of attention, bringing Sipadan to a much bigger audience.

According to the organisers, the purpose of the campaign is to

"significantly raise awareness of the incredible variety and beauty of nature around us. As our slogan says, “If we want to save anything, we first need to truly appreciate it!” This is something that is very important - more awareness and more tourism income means that these natural treasures can be better preserved for future generations. "

Voting is open to the world, hence, it is imperative that we do our part to help Sipadan make it as far as possible.

So far, Sipadan has made it to the second phase (out of 4), where 261 national and multinational nominees from 222 countries fight it out in order to be among the top 77 by 7th July 2009 - and qualify for the third phase.

In the third phase, the New7Wonders of Nature Panel of Experts, led by Professor Federico Mayor (former Director-General of UNESCO) will go through the top 77 and choose the 21 finalists, which will be announced 21st July 2009.

General criteria to make the top 21:

1. Unique beauty;
2. Diversity and distribution;
3. Ecological significance (in terms of either stand-alone eco-systems and/or their significance for human beings);
4. Historical legacy (relation that human beings and/or indigenous populations have or have had with the site);
5. Geo-location (even distribution of the 21 Official Finalists between all continents). That means Sipadan has to be the best in Asia.

In the fourth and final phase, the 21 will again be put to popular vote. Voting will continue throughout 2010 and into 2011. During this period, the New7Wonders World Tour will visit each finalists, in order for them to present themselves to worldwide voters.

The final 7 will be announced sometime 2011.

Each human in the world is entitled to one vote in phase 1, 2 and 4.

Help a Sabahan (only Malaysian left in the running) get The Best Job in the World

What was advertised as the best job the world was announced in January 2009.

More than 34,000 people from about 200 countries applied, including 180 Malaysians. Only one person will get the job, slated to start 1st July 2009. Now it’s down to the final 50 candidates.

One of them, and the only Malaysian, is a Sabahan: Jackie Miao.

If she gets the job, apart from the obvious advantage to her, it will also be a tremendous boost for Sabah’s, and of course Malaysia’s international tourism profile.

The others in the final 50 are from Taiwan (1), Russia (1), Canada (7), Ireland (1), USA (6), Singapore (2), France (2), Korea (2), Netherlands (2), New Zealand (1), China (2), India (2), Kenya (1), United Kingdom (4), Australia (6), Germany (2), Greece (1), Sweden (1), Indonesia (1), Japan (3), Guam (1).

Out of the 50 candidates, 10 candidates would be selected by a panel made up of people from Tourism Queensland.

However, possibly to add to the drama, the organisers decided to have an eleventh candidate, a “wild card” selected by popular vote via the job’s website.

There, one can view the candidates’ videos and can vote for them once every 24 hours, until 24th March 2009.

At the time of writing, in the wildcard leaderboard, Clare Wang of Taiwan is way out in front with more than 33,000 votes. 2nd is Julia of Russia at 17,000. The other guys and gals all have less than 10,000 votes. Jackie is in 25th place with around 700.

She can still make it. So, get cracking and help Jackie by voting her in as the wildcard candidate.

It's been a while since my last shopping and I feel like I need some new cloths...plus most of my shorts,pants,dresses are too small for me...in other words, I'm getting wider. Hahahhah. Just wondering why girls is so crazy when it comes to shopping dresses, make up and etc.
