If you are an existing templatic customer, here’s a tiny but nice update for you. You do not need to manually request invoice anymore. Simply login to your templatic member area and manage your own invoice. It was a real challenge for our coding team but customizing and generating your own pretty invoice is now possible.

To get the PDF invoice follow these steps:

1. Visit member area: Login to member area
2. Edit Profile: After logging in, click on My Profile. Fill out the profile where you can add your company name, company address, Tax / VAT ID etc. as per your wish and then click on Save Profile. Note that the same information will be printed in PDF invoice.
   
3. Payment History: Now click on Your Payment History. And then click on Invoice link at middle right. That’s done. You will be able to see the invoice in the next page. Just save it or print it, your wish.
   

If you wish to change name, company name, address or Tax ID in the invoice, simply edit your profile and download the invoice again.

So that’s it, this is how you can generate the PDF invoice.

Going GPL

When we were PremiumThemes.net, we announced going GPL and switched back in a while which is kind of long and silly story but we as a business now realize though late, this is the right decision to take and the beginning of a new year is a perfect time.

So, here onwards, all the templatic WordPress themes are licensed under the GNU general public license. We are shortly making necessary changes in our site in order to align with this license.

Club Membership Duration

Templatic Premium Themes Club membership gives you access to all our existing themes and access to all the themes we released in next 12 months beginning from your membership date. Beginning february 2011, the 12 month duration will be changed to 3 or 6 months.

Templatic Framework and Standard Code

Templatic team is busy coding up a standard framework and advanced options panel based on Options Tree plugin by valen design so we can keep a core code and provide regular updates in all our themes.

Bigger and Better Team

We will move to a newer office in the first half of this year that accommodates more people to join us in support, programming, designing and R&D in the WordPress and other area. At templatic, we are actively hiring new people at the moment. We refuse to hire anyone other than absolute best and hence, it will be a big challenge but we’re hoping for the best at the moment.

New Innovative Products

Yep, we take pride in keep exploring new paths and creating products which no one have created before – thus pushing WordPress to its max. This year too, we will continue leading this space and introduce some exciting new products in coming months. Not just the average blog and magazine themes.

Beyond WordPress

WordPress is without doubt the best CMS out there and we will keep building things for this. However, we also look forward to break the boundaries and explore another world out there. Most probably, expect announcement in this segment in the next quarter of this year.

New Partnership

We are also open and look forward to form strategic partnership with equal and like minded people/company this year in order to strengthen and take the company to newer heights. Don’t be surprised if we announce something in this regard this year.

Events – as you can guess, is an advanced portal theme that features events in your city. Let’s take a quick screenshot tour of the theme.

Event Homepage

Events theme homepage combines most important things of an events portal. The complete page is widget ready so you can drag and drop things that you like. Advanced event seach, featured events, upcoming and past events, and featuring most important event categories are right there.

Best part? People are able to submit event on your website – and you can even charge for that if you like using 6 different payment gateways.

Category Listing

Clicking on any event category shows you list of upcoming and past events for that particular category in tabbed view. Best thing about this is you can sort events as per your choice.

The advanced events calender in sidebar shows you list of events on that specific day when you mouse hover the dates. Cool ha?

Event Details

Perhaps the most important page of this theme? We had to go through lots of UI variations and structure designs before finalizing this one. At the top, it shows you event name and important stuff like dates, timing and contact.

Right after that, you see a tabbed area where you can set the google map and image gallery of the event / venue / anything. And beyond this, you see description of the event, organizer details (and contact them using email form), registration details, social media and comments where users can interact with each other about event.

Admin Panel

Like the screenshot above mentions, events theme also have a strong backend wherein you can bulk upload events, manage pricing for people to submit event, set coupons, add events and so on.

Earlier last month, one of our club member – Chris Gallagher got in touch with us who happened to have thorough knowledge in building websites for garage and what they actually require and don’t require. The launch of this theme has been pending since long but we are satisfied that we did justice to the final theme being released today (literally everything has been changed from the original preview we shown earlier). As you all know, the templatic office is proudly located in India and It’s the time of the year here where we do have Diwali – a nation wide festival of 5 days. As per the tradition, this occasion is celebrated as hindu new year.

We have designed a cool wallpaper that can be previewed here in this post. Download the zip file here (size: 2mb). It includes all the sizes for desktop and iphone.

The spirit of celebration is in the air and templatic team too will be celebrating this occasion with full spirit. During this time, templatic office will remain closed for full 5 days (from 4th November to 8th November, 2010).

What this festival is about?

The festival is of total five days. Guess the foreign users would love to know a little bit about this tradition. Here’s brief intro to the full five days.

1. Dhanteras: It is believed to be a very pious and good day to purchase gold, silver and other valuable metals. People buy atleast something on this day.
2. Chopda Pujan: In the evening, all the business people do puja of accounting books for the coming year. And the transaction of their next year is written in these books.
3. Diwali: Last day of the hindu year. The whole country celebrate it at evening by lighting diya (lamp) and firing crackers.
4. New Year: Starting from early morning 5am, people go to temple and then to visit their family, neighborhood and friends, they wish each other new year and take blessings of elder.
5. Bhai Bij: The day is for brothers and sisters. If a sister is married, she invites the brother to her home to take lunch. The whole family take lunch together.

This is kind of our version in short about the celebration and festival. Ofcourse the festival is lot more than what we have just explained in here.

Video theme

over the course of past two years, we have released several magazine themes but video theme is something, we have never ventured into. After the recent release of Photocraft which was targeted towards photography, Video is an upcoming theme targeted for people who wish to build video website.

Video theme will be available in few color schemes and some cool widgets. Expect release of this theme soon.

Events theme

We added listing of basic events in recently updated version of GeoPlaces theme. With the Events theme, we are taking events to level best.
