This line was built from the ground up based on feedback from the players and has endured rigorous testing all throughout the developement process. JT was founded in 1970 by John Gregory who started the company selling motocross socks to riders in the deserts of Nevada and California. This line is releasing on our 40th anniversary as a company and it reflects the quality and commitment to innovation that JT has always believed in.

Many thanks to everyone at JT Sports for helping make the 2009 Collinsville, Oklahoma D.A.R.E. program a HUGE success. For the last 6 years the Collinsville, Police department and Lt. Dan Boggs have taught the Collinsville, OK 5th graders about the dangers of drugs. As a reward for completing the course we sponsor them a FREE day of paintball.

We started this years event at 9am and ran two big groups (with approx. 75 per group) through the rec. courses at Paintball Land. The kids played hard until noon when the pizza arrived then we gave away prices. We played one more all out resurrection game with both groups. What a fun game with over 150 players unloading on each other. As you know; the last games of the day are always more aggressive for new players, because they now know “how to play”.

For the last few years JT has sponsored the paint and has given prizes. We are so thankful for this support Chuck Geiling, Brad Reagan, William Spicer and the many others who support our effort to impact the kids who will represent our future. Of the 5th graders (11 - 12 year olds) only about 10 had previously played at Paintball Land, but the others were raring to give it a go. The field is only one mile away from the 5th grade center and the field has been in operation for over 20 years. WOW, how exciting to introduce and educate the next generation of paintballers. How exciting is that!

JT, in conjunction with Dewayne Convirs and Adventure Park, is gearing up to host Oklahoma D-Day 2009 (-> register), which promises to be one of the best and most interactive events to date. Oklahoma D-Day has a long standing reputation as being one of the premier events of the season, but this year is going to top them all. On the game side you will see an improved Coleville complete with a new set of two story buildings that will change everything about how the last battle is played out. You will also have easier access to HPA and CO2 service this year in addition to easy in - easy out dead boxes that minimize your playing down time.

With JT as the official paintball sponsor of Oklahoma D-Day, showcasing our FLUID line of quality paintballs, there is a strong tradition to uphold as the primary sponsor. We are very excited to stand up to the challenge and invite everyone to come visit the JT HQ compound and paintball experiential center complete with our shooting both, demos of JT products, tech facility, and product sales area. JT will be hosting a hospitality area for its dealers and industry legends, showcasing an Academy Sports interactive camping demo and the marquee book signing and lecture with WWII legend Jake McNeese, one of the Filthy Thirteen from the 101’st airborne.

The first ever “JT Steel Beach” compound will host a number of exciting events along with movie night under the stars. JT and Academy Sports will be bringing you “Academy Awards” Movie Night and will be showing classic WWII movies throughout the week including Where Eagles Dare on Wednesday, Desert Rats on Thursday and Saving Private Ryan on Friday, with all the action starting at 9pm. Michael DeChant will also be there every night showing never-before-seen previews of his documentary Soldiers of Paint, which follows the behind the scenes action of Oklahoma D-Day participants. Admission is free for all players and there will be nightly prize giveaways.

Capping the week, on Friday and Saturday, JT Legends Mike “Blue” Hanse and Chris “Deuce” Hanse of Blues Crew will be signing autographs alongside Rich Telford and Junior Brown of Sacramento XSV after a hard fought day on the battlefield. Capping the week’s events, JT will be hosting a free concert featuring rock/blues artist Leah & the Mojo Doctors after the awards ceremony. We are announcing the formation of strategic marketing partnerships with two world renown paintball teams; Sacramento XSV, led by Tournament Professional Rich Telford,and with the scenario / rec-ball team Blues Crew, driven by industry legend Mike “Blue” Hanse. Together, these two teams, along with the strength of a stronger and revitalized JT team, form the nucleus of a targeted product development and marketing campaign to increase paintball awareness, increase player participation in all areas of the sport, and drive JT to the pinnacle in paintball performance for all paintball categories.

“Historically, JT has had team sponsorships with both Blues Crew and XSV, which focused on each team individually in each of their respective fields of play,”

BLUE and DEUCE Hanse have signed a Two-Year Marketing Agreement with JT SPORTS for 2009 and 2010 with a 3rd year option.
