Bella will be in school every morning this year. She’s headed back to last year’s school for three days and going two days at a local park preschool. Last week we went to an open house and she didn’t want to leave. I’m guessing she’s going to really enjoy it.

This photo would be a lot more impressive if I had some fancy equipment to get a great nighttime shot. Although, I doubt I would have schlepped fancy equipment outside this late in the evening.

lazy weekend

We didn’t do much this weekend. Friday night was date night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Saturday and Sunday were both low key. We watched movies, I played with yarn, Bella spent hours with her Color Wonder and T. researched beach houses for our September vacation. We did manage to get outside for a little while.

Second week of zoo camp was a success. The summer is zooming by fast!

It’s strange to go to a car event and not see a lot of cars, but it was brutally hot on Saturday. We spent a lot of time inside at lunch. Bella and Mason invented a new game: see who can drop the most balls down the pool table pockets.

We spent a lot of time in the shade under “our tree” and a few tents. (We seem to end up in this same spot every year.)

We ate cold treats to stay cool. Bella’s first taste of Dippin’ Dots.

We are also grateful that our party hosts let us hang out inside every once and awhile so the kids could cool off. We may not have seen a lot of cars, but we spent a lot of time with good friends. That’s the best part of cruisin’ for us.
