Thanks! I don’t know enough about Charles Bukowski to say one way or the other. For some reason his writing just hasn’t appealed to me enough to inspire me to actively read it.

I love that you try to answer so many anonymous questions... Do you take requests as well? I've always enjoyed "The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde"; is there any way that I could inspire you to do some sort of amazing photo shoot in relation to that book? I leave this purposely vague because I trust your artistic skill and would be so intrigued to see what it leads to with so little direction. Also, thanks for inspiring your many followers!

I’ve wanted to stage a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde photo for a long time. Since I first started taking book pictures. It’s so, so rich in visual imagery, so maybe I’ve waited this long because I felt I couldn’t do it justice. But stay tuned - it will happen yet - and thanks for the message. I actually appreciate a little prodding!

It seems you live in such a beautiful location in the city. Out of curiosity, how did you get so lucky? How does a talented 20+ year old afford such a place? If there's a formula, I'm eager to replicate it! :-)

Brutal flights are all about reading your way through a series. I recently read Bring Up the Bodies on a long flight. Then I went back and reread its predecessor Wolf Hall, just to keep the action going.

1) I think your photographs are beautiful. 2) What is your favorite book cover and why? (Since you are a photographer and reader, I wonder how that may affect your choice)

thoughts on proust? i want to start reading his work. what book would you start of his? any recommendations for reading his work?

I read Swann’s Way first and fell in love with Proust, but not immediately. I think it happened about a third of the way in. With Proust you have to start slowly, paying close attention, which can be hard because he’s kind of long-winded, and give that intense lyricism some time to equilibriate. All his novels are like that. It’s like playing with a wind-up toy. It takes a lot of effort to wind - at first. Then before you know it, it takes off on its own.
