The Jump Manual – The Early Stage of Basketball

Basketball is not like other games, evolved from any ancient sport, developed and got popularity gradually. Rather it has a distinctive origin. This game was invented purposefully as an indoor activity for the students of Y.M.C.A , Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts by Dr. James Naismith in 1891.

James Naismith wanted to create a healthy athletic activity for his students. At first he coined a set of 13 rules for this game, although these rules are not the same rules we use in today’s basketball. The foremost game was played with a soccer ball and two peach baskets attached 10-feet high from ground, used as goals. The court was almost half the size of today’s court.

The Jump Manual reviews here as to why and how such variation and difference were needed and thereafter created.

The Jump Manual – Basketball Team Size and Courts

The Jump Manual reviews some interesting statistics related to Basketball Court size variations. First of all it is important to

English: (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

know that the size of a particular court depends on the team size in Basketball, as the main objective in a game is to putt the basket; Basketball is a game of team. It involves power, support and strong command over oneself. It is a healthy competition. Officially one team can have five players, means ten players can play at a time in a court. But it depends on you whether you follow the official team counting or make your own number. You just have to divide the court for convenience.

Court dimensions and size of basketball may vary. Officially the Basketball full size court dimensions are:

NBA and college: 94 feet long and 50 feet wide

High School: 84 feet long and 50 feet wide

Junior High (youth courts):74 feet long and 42 feet wide

International Basketball Federation’s court is approximately 32,000 mm, or 104.9 feet long, and 19,000 mm or 62.3 feet long.

“Jolie Johnson’s” Article at LivingStrong.com elaborates these variations, and The Jump Manual reviews and brings it here for our readers.

The dimensions of a full court depend on the level of play. Youth courts are 74 feet long by 42 feet wide and high school courts are 84 feet long by 50 feet wide. College and professional NBA courts are 94 feet long and 50 feet wide. A court used for international competitions, which is governed by the International Basketball

Category:Images of Massachusetts The first basketball court: Springfield College. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Federation, is a minimum of 32,000 mm, or 104.9 feet long, and 19,000 mm or 62.3 feet long.

Half-courts cut the length of a full basketball court in half, not the width. The width remains the same from the original court. A youth half court is 37 feet by 42 feet and a high school half court is 42 feet by 50 feet. Half court games played on a college or professional court are 47 feet by 50 feet and games played on an international court are 52 feet by 31 feet.

If one wants to cut the full size court into the half one, he/she just have to cut the length of a full basketball court in half, while the width remains the same. One hoop, one free throw line and one three-point arc are the main parts of a half size basketball court, although the size and dimensions may vary according to the type that is for high school, for women college courts, men college courts and for professional courts.

The Jump Manual – Basketball Courts for Everyone

Basketball’s official competitions are usually held in properly maintained Basketball courts as an indoor sport activity, but there are exceptions for playground basketball courts, which are not bound to follow the rules and dimensions of official courts. These courts are not according to fine rules and are often played outdoors in remote areas. An outside courtyard can also be used as a court.

Thus, practically basketball courts are differing greatly in overall length and width. When you’re looking at the court there is also different sizes, based on what level of basketball you’re playing. It may vary according to the level of team and the choice of players.

Since the time Basketball came into existence, it has evolved drastically, developing progressively with modernization, popularity, appreciation and expansion; Basketball is not just a game anymore, it is rather an industry with billions of dollars pumped into its commercial value each year.

Basketball has made huge profits for investors as well as for the top basketball players. Clothes, accessories, books, television, digital games, events, promotions and thousands of other fields are associated with this game of Basketball. all generating revenues to all parties involved

There are many games and sports which dominate the related circles of interest and Basketball is one of the leading sports, if not the most dominant.

It is not just some simple term of gaming anymore for Basketball but is in fact an industry where millions of people are directly involved with Basketball. Call it a need, normal approach or the modern approach to doing business, but whatever it is Basketball is surely one of the most important sports of our present times. So where is all the modernizations and technicality taking and leading this game to? And where and what will Basketball be in the coming years and future?

Basketball – Present

Here is an example of the scientific research done nowadays on the technical side of Basketball, evaluating and analyzing the

Los Angeles Lakers Magic Johnson and Boston Celtics Larry Bird in Game two of the 1985 NBA Finals at Boston Garden (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

potential of Basketball.

“Stats.com” www.stats.com gathers some very important scientific data through research papers; and it shows how minutely science has its concern and observation for this game, helping and promising expertise with improvement.

BOSTON — Where does the future of basketball analytics lie? After spending some time at the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference in Boston, it has become increasingly clear that “where” is the operative word.
More and more, researchers are trying to identify, quantify and analyze the location of where NBA players operate on the court. The two research paper finalists at Sloan, “Deconstructing the Rebound with Optical Tracking Data” and “Court Vision: New Visual and Spatial Analytics for the NBA,” addressed this new, exciting area of basketball analytics.

Basketball – Future

So it is good news for the Basketball Players, Fans and Lovers. Basketball has in fact entered the space age, its future only seems brighter.

The future of Basketball might contain airborne tournaments, the rules might alter for precision, robots would be the best trainers and coaches and virtual 3D live gaming viewership would be the core attraction for far away spectators.

West's silhouette serves as the current NBA logo. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Basketball fans could compile their own teams via International Television Viewership and spectators could fund mutually for their personal custom events.

Sky would not be the limit, as technicality would break the Basketball gaming components to individual expertise, where putting the basket a 100 times in a row would even be analyzed with charts and diagrams, so to see who is the best scorer in this kind of competition.

Well, what do you think about Basketball Future, where does your mind lead Basketball into? Could you visualize how Basketball would be 20, 50, or even a 100 years from now?

Almost in every Basketball event with the viewers anticipated enthusiasm, it just gets so interesting to see the Champions compete against one another; building and involving the natural observation of the spectators and keen learners to see them maneuver, one upon another; countering, tricking and dodging. Performing to extreme limits of endurance and performance.

The Jump Manual Reviews here what it actually is to be a true Basketball game fan, an admirer of the Back to Back Champions.

After every interesting game the news, reviews and articles clatter the media circle and The Jump manual does it too.

The best center of discussion are the Players themselves and the best topic is their performance edging others. Amazing is the fact that people who take Basketball game very seriously and enjoy every part of it are the people who involve such activities; and why not, it’s Basketball.

The Jump Manual – The Back to Back Basketball Champions

“Steve Deane” in his recent article on nzheraldso very interestingly sketches the scenario of a recent game of Basketball. The

Basketball with clock to represent a "current sports or basketball event". (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Jump Manual finds it so very promising as it provides a smooth interest for the reader.

The Breakers preached that effort was the only thing that would get them over the line in their quest for consecutive ANBL titles – they were bang on.

There was just too much tension for last night’s epic decider to be anything but a knock-em down drag-em out affair.

When the dust settled, the Breakers were the ones left standing, but what a mighty effort it required. That this fine basketball team was pushed so hard for so long was a testament to the quality of their foe.

The Breakers are a brilliant side with depth to burn. The Wildcats are a more industrious bunch built on the four central pillars of Kevin Lisch, Shawn Redhage, Matt Knight and Damien Martin. They don’t have the same depth, and that ultimately proved decisive, but the Wildcats are one hell of a team. This is a rivalry that will run and run.

There were plenty of on-court heroes for the Breakers this season, but the man who ultimately got them home was veteran guard CJ Bruton. The Australian lashed in two dagger three-pointers in the closing minutes to all-but kill off the Wildcats after 12 furious quarters – not to mention an overtime period in game one. Tom Abercrombie’s stunning block on Redhage was the coup de grace.

With seven of the squad already locked down for next year, we might just be witnessing the birth of a sporting dynasty.

Further more “Steve Deane” while describing this game in between the Breakers and Wildcats narrates so well that it actually seems happening.

That is what is so good about a good piece of natural observation and delivery of words.

One of the first people coach Andrej Lemanis hugged during the on-court celebrations was physiotherapist Anousith Bouaaphone. Well he might have, with the club battling through injuries to key players Cedric Jackson and Abercrombie throughout the finals.

Every quarter was bitterly contested during a finals series that lived up to the pundits’ predictions it would be a classic.

The Breakers just edged the match last night thanks to some early long-range fireworks from Abercrombie and Bruton. However the Wildcats were always in the fight and they closed strongly to trail by just one point at the first break.

The Jump Manual – Our Champions are our Pride

Some might like one team, some another. The players performance, their record and healthy competition, makes a game win hearts and cheers. The point is to have a good game, among themselves and for the viewers. A great source of entertainment and learning.

The Jump Manual brings the reviews on the review, so that Basketball fans get even better delivered for their reading.

Good games are like Champions too, the best thing about them is that they are made by the Champions for the Champions.

And who makes the Champions?, their fans!

A great fan of Basketball always finds inspiration in looking up to the legends and players who have made their mark in the history of The NBA. By the best performance, by competition, by sustaining a career regardless of the mishaps, downfalls, injuries and criticism.

A very few make it to the all time World and The NBA favorites and when they do they are known as the Best at The NBA.

The Jump Manual Presents a short description of The 10 Best in the NBA

The following has been quoted from the: “Bleacherreport.com”

1. Michael Jordan

MJ is the greatest basketball player this world has ever seen. He refused to lose, a trait possessed by few in the era

Chicago Bulls. Michael Jordan 1997 (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

of high-paid NBA players afraid to get dunked on today. He won six championships against John Stockton, Karl Malone, Charles Barkley, Hakeem Olajuwon, and other Hall-of-Fame.While most players suffer from the effects of achy bones and bruises as the years go on, Jordan simply adjusted his game and got better. He was the ultimate leader, the ultimate scorer, and the ultimate defender. If Larry Bird and Magic Johnson brought the NBA out of the doldrums of sports irrelevance, Michael Jordan took it straight to the forefront of American culture. Every aspiring basketball player of the 90s donned his signature jersey and shoes, and the Chicago Bulls became the iconic team of basketball. From now until the end of time, Jordan’s impact will be felt throughout the basketball world. Perhaps someday there will be a player considered better, but there will never be another Jordan. His hunger and love for the game make him a one-of-a-kind sensation, a step above the “superstar” title given to the others on this list.

2. Wilt Chamberlain

Wilt is the most dominant basketball player to ever play the game. At some point, you have to throw out the “he played in a much worse era” argument, because Wilt was so far above everyone else he played against. He scored 100 points in a game, averaged 50 for a season, and even led the league in assists when he decided to pass more.Russell was a better winner, but Wilt has achieved a legendary status that no other player besides Michael Jordan could brag about. The picture of Chamberlain with a piece of paper that simply read “100” has become one of the enduring images of basketball. It is the insurmountable peak of the tallest mountaintop that only Kobe Bryant has gotten close to touching.Stick Wilt into today’s NBA and I still think he’s one of the best players around. He was that good, that unstoppable, and the best big man of all time.

3. Magic Johnson

Los Angeles Lakers Magic Johnson (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Magic was the only player who one-upped Larry Bird during the 80s. He’s LeBron James plus four inches and a whole bunch of championships, which is why James has lots of work to do if he wants to be included in a top 10 conversation.Johnson’s passing ability was simply surreal. No 6’10″ player should be able to play point guard with such grace and skill, yet Magic broke that unwritten rule. When his team needed a center during the Finals, Magic filled in and delivered a championship. Only the third greatest player of all time could do something so monumental.

4. Tim Duncan

Duncan is the most under appreciated player basketball has ever seen. His fundamental offensive moves were supposed to work in the 1960s, not the 2000s, yet he’s been a career 20 points per game player. In an era that should’ve been completely dominated by Shaq, Kobe, and LeBron, Duncan won four championships with his best teammates being Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili.Duncan was and still is, a once-in-a-lifetime defender and leader. His stat line in a game against the Nets during the Finals (21 points, 20 rebounds, 10 assists, 8 blocks) remains the epitome of a fantasy basketball owner’s dream, and he achieved that on the highest stage in the world, not a meaningless regular season game against the Clippers.Timmy is by far the greatest power forward in the history of basketball, and hopefully, his greatness will truly be appreciated when he decides to call it quits.

5. Karrem Abdul Jabbar

Kareem played for a ridiculous 20 years, which is no easy task for a big man (just ask Yao Ming, who is struggling to make it through one full season). His name is synonymous with the sky hook, a shot attempted by youngsters across the globe along with NBA centers today, and his six MVPs only bolster an already impressive resume.Abdul-Jabbar is also the league’s all-time leading scorer, ahead of Wilt and Michael Jordan. He won six NBA championships, serving as Magic Johnson’s go-to man in the 80s. Out of every center the NBA has ever seen, he’s the second best. Not too shabby.

6. Larry Bird

Larry reinvigorated the Celtics franchise and led them to three championships during the 80s. He averaged a cool 24 points and 10 rebounds in 13 seasons, and helped put the NBA on the national television map with his rivalry against Magic Johnson.Bird was also one of the most entertaining and confident players to suit up in the 80s, with his three-point contest guarantee (which he upheld by winning), along with his multiple acrobatic game-winning shots. Larry Legend will forever live on as a legend in the Boston area, which is no easy task.

7. Kobe Bryant

Bryant is the closest thing the NBA has seen to Michael Jordan since MJ’s retirement. Similar to Michael, Kobe has adapted his game as age slowly catches up to him. Formerly a high-flying dunker, Bryant is now a prolific jump shooter and phenomenal defender. His four championships put him at No. 7, but with three to four more years of high-level basketball left, Kobe could easily advance up this list. If he finishes his already illustrious career with seven rings (which is unlikely but not out of the realm of possibility), perhaps we’ll be waiting for the next Kobe instead of the next Jordan in the future.

8. Shaquille O’Neal

During Shaq’s prime, there wasn’t anything on earth that could slow him down—except that darn free throw line. O’Neal is a four-time champion, and could likely add ring No. 5 by season’s end in Cleveland. There was literally

Los Angeles Lakers Shaquille O'Neal 12/20/1999 (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

no answer for him in the paint in the early 2000s, and his defensive ability made him just as lethal on both sides of the ball. Some point to Kobe Bryant as the reason O’Neal won three championships in Los Angeles, but virtually no champion lacked at least two superstars on the same team (except for Duncan and Olajuwon). Shaq was a guy you could build a team around and win 60 games. Today, he’s still a worthy competitor on any finals contender.

9. Bill Russell

On the list of honorable mentions I listed Havlicek as one of the greatest winners ever. Russell is the greatest winner ever. You can’t argue with 11 championships in 13 seasons—that’s a mark that will never, ever be broken.Russell isn’t just the greatest winner, he’s also on the shortlist of best defenders to play the game. He would more than likely own the record for blocks (not a category during his career), and was rewarded for his efforts with five MVP awards. So why isn’t he higher on this list? It’s simple: the era he played in. Just like the “Big O,” we don’t know how Russell would have done in a 30-team, much more competitive league. He also averaged less than 16 points per game for his career, so at the end of games, Bill wasn’t a guy you could turn to for big shots.

10. Hakeem Olajuwon

The smoothest big man the league has ever seen. Olajuwon could do absolutely anything he wanted on the offensive end, and blocked shots at a high rate to boot. In a Jordan-less league, he would very likely be ranked much higher on this list, as evidenced by his two championship wins when MJ was busy playing baseball.Nowadays, chiseled big men like Dwight Howard are the ideal, but I’d take Hakeem’s freakish athletic ability over that any day of the week.

Other Basketball Players who have recognition in The NBA:

Jerry West—West would probably be in most hoops fans’ top 10, but I can’t put a guy who lost eight championships on this list.

John Havlicek—One of the greatest “winners” of all time. He and Scottie Pippen are the two best sidekicks to ever play the game.

Moses Malone—The best rebounder of all time.

Elgin Baylor—Ranks as one of the most gifted scorers to ever play the game, but lost eight championships and won none.

Scottie Pippen—If Michael Jordan was this generation’s Batman, Pippen was certainly Robin.

Oscar Robertson—It’s hard to keep the human triple-double off this list, but someone who played in a far-less competitive era has to be looked at objectively. For all we know, Robertson would average 10 and five on an NBA team today. Fair or not, players from the NBA’s inception will always be penalized in the big picture.

Still, Robertson transcended the game with his ability to find teammates and score at will. He was an NBA champion and will be linked with Bob Cousy as one of the first truly great point guards to play the game.

The NBA Top 10 Active Players based on Career Achievements:

The NBA recognizes it’s players on different levels and basis and here are the Top 10 Active Players who are placed for their Career Achievements:

“Bleacherreport.com”

10 Ray Allen (Boston Celtics)

Being the all-time leader in three-pointers made has to count for something! There is no lack of respect for how good a player Ray Allen has been over his career. Some of his national popularity and championship opportunities took a hit while he was with the Bucks, but he finally got a well-deserved ring in Boston.

9 Dwayne Wade (Miami Heat)

The Heat guard is one of the most electrifying players in the NBA. In just the first half of his career, Wade has made the All-NBA team six times, and he will make his eighth All-Star appearance this season. If he can continue this run, and add to his one championship ring, Wade will go down as one of the top guards in history.

8 Tony Parker (San Antonio Spurs)

Lost between the big assist point guards and the 25+ point scoring guys, Parker is the only active point guard with three rings since 2003. Tony Parker has quietly put together a stellar career and is only 29 years old. The question will be if he can continue to win and play great once Duncan and Ginobili move on.

7 Steve Nash (Phoenix Suns)

Steve Nash not only won two straight MVPs in the same league as Kobe, Shaq, Garnett and Duncan, but he also managed to be the greatest Canadian player in history! No kidding though, Nash is one of the top point guards ever and is the reason why Parker doesn’t appear in any more All-Star games. He is still missing the ring, but when it’s all said and done, his statistics will speak for themselves.

6 Lebron James (Miami Heat)

The first pick in the 2003 draft, the savior of Cleveland, the most marketable player since Jordan. LeBron is still ridiculously young, but already in his ninth season in the NBA. He also is not lacking in criticism, especially after his move to Miami, but for this list his two MVPs, five-time first-team All-NBA and two championship appearances make him one of the best.

5 Jason Kidd (Dallas Mavericks)

How long has Jason Kidd been playing? Well, he was a Maverick before Dirk showed up, and now he is back in Dallas with a veteran Dirk and a championship. Kidd never won an MVP, but his consistency has put him forever in the record books. He currently sits number two all-time in assists and number three all-time in both steals and three-pointers.

4 Dirk Nowitzki (Dallas Mavericks)

One of the greatest foreign players in NBA history, Dirk is also top 50 in most statistical categories all-time. Helping his ranking is the Mavs’ recent championship victory, where he received MVP honors and defeated the Miami Heat “Dream Team.” Nowitzki also has four first-team All-NBA selections on his resume.

3 Kevin Garnett (Boston Celtics)

KG had to leave Minnesota in order to finally win something—actually, anything—after years of first round exits. Those years were not wasted, however, as Garnett is now top 25 overall in points and rebounds, and he has racked up eight first-team All-NBA Defense selections and an MVP.

2 Tim Duncan (San Antonio Spurs)

Duncan is arguably the best power forward in NBA history, and he has the hardware to prove it. His awards include 13 All-Star games, nine first-team All-NBA, eight first-team Defensive All-NBA, four NBA Championships, three final’s MVPs and two NBA MVPs. His quiet leadership has created a dynasty in San Antonio that will not soon be forgotten.

1 Kobe Bryant (Los Angeles Lakers)

Kobe is first on this list mainly for the fact that his five rings are the most for any active player, except Derek Fisher, and he is about five times the player that Fisher is. Along with his one MVP he has been stuck on the All-NBA first team and All-NBA Defensive first team for the length of his career. That’s not a bad spot to be.

The NBA Top 10 Breakout Players of 2012:

Here are the Top 10 Players of the current year 2012 in The NBA and a few of them might well make it to Top 10 Players of All Times too. It takes much effort and sustained career record to be the deserving one at The NBA.

“Bleacherreport.com”

10. Mario Chalmers: Point Guard, Miami Heat

Rank: 57

11 points, 2.5 rebounds, 4 assists, 1.4 steals

Mario Chalmers has flourished in his fourth season with the Miami Heat, increasing his scoring average by nearly five points from 2011.

With LeBron James and Dwyane Wade facing constant double-teams, Chalmers is often the recipient of wide open looks from behind the arc.

He’s taking full advantage of those opportunities, to the tune of 1.8 threes per game—good for 19th in the league.

9. Kyrie Irving: Point Guard, Cleveland Cavaliers

Rank: 51

17.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists

The first pick of the 2011 NBA draft has somehow managed to exceed they sky-high expectations he inherited from the moment he stepped foot onto the campus of Duke University just over a year ago.

At just 19 years of age, Kyrie Irving has wasted no time showing the rest of the NBA that he is already one of the best point guards in the world.

8. Jeff Teague: Point Guard, Atlanta Hawks

Rank: 50

13 points, 5.2 assists, 2.1 rebounds, 2.1 steals

Jeff Teague had his coming out party in the 2011 NBA playoffs and is doing his best job to prove that he’s no one-hit wonder.

After averaging four points in 12 minutes per game during his first two seasons, Teague is now playing nearly 34 minutes per contest and already has five games with at least 20 points.

7. Jarrett Jack: Point Guard, New Orleans Hornets

Rank: 45

16.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, 6.8 assists

The departure of Chris Paul to the Clippers opened the door for Jarrett Jack to run the show in New Orleans and he hasn’t looked back since.

Jack’s numbers have more than doubled across the board from his 2011 averages and he already has seven games with at least 20 points on the season.

6. Ricky Rubio: Point Guard, Minnesota Timberwolves

Rank: 34

11.4 points, 8.9 assists, 4.7 rebounds, 2.2 steals

The numbers don’t do him justice folks, Ricky Rubio is even better than advertised.

Since being inserted into the starting lineup, Rubio is averaging 12.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 9.7 assists per game.

Rubio is only beginning to scratch the surface in terms of what he’s able to do on the basketball court, all we have to do is just sit back and enjoy the ride for the next 15 years.

5. Greg Monroe: Center, Detroit Pistons

Rank: 26

15.8 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists

Wait a minute, Greg Monroe isn’t a point guard!

The run of five straight point guards on the list comes to a grinding halt as the second-year big man out of Georgetown cracks the top five on our list of breakout fantasy players.

Monroe (6’11″, 253 lbs) is the leading scorer and rebounder for the Detroit Pistons—a trend we should probably expect to continue for many years to come.

4. Marcin Gortat: Center, Phoenix Suns

Rank: 24

15 points, 10.1 rebounds, 1.8 blocks

Question: How many guys in the NBA are averaging at least 15 points and 10 rebounds per game?

Answer: Six (Dwight Howard, Andrew Bynum, Kevin Love, Blake Griffin, David Lee and Marcin Gortat)

3. Kyle Lowry: Point Guard, Houston Rockets

Rank: 15

14.6 points, 6.4 rebounds, 8 assists, 2 steals

That’s right, Kyle Lowry is the 15th-ranked fantasy basketball player in the world as of this second.

He’s the only player in the NBA averaging at least 14 points, six rebounds, eight assists and two steals.

Wow.

2. Ryan Anderson: Forward, Orlando Magic

Rank: 11

16.1 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.9 threes

Did you know that Ryan Anderson (6’10″, 240 lbs) leads the NBA with 2.9 threes per game?

Neither did I. Well, actually, yes I did, but I bet you did not.

The departure of Brandon Bass to the Boston Celtics has allowed Anderson to play nearly 30 minutes per night and he’s taking full advantage of this golden opportunity in Orlando.

1. Danilo Gallinari: Small Forward, Denver Nuggets

Rank: 6

17.9 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.5 steals, 1.4 threes

Danilo Gallinari is showing everyone why the New York Knicks drafted him sixth overall in the 2008 NBA draft.

Gallinari is leading the Denver Nuggets in scoring while shooting 46.1 percent from the field and 88.4 percent form the free-throw line.

At 6’10″ and 225 lbs, Gallinari is a do-it-all small forward in the mold of a young Dirk Nowitzki.

The players are the pride of The NBA and the pride of the Nation.

There will always be some of the best players making places in the top lists of The NBA, the ones who show the best performance, who compete, who struggle, who deserve, who win; not only for their teams and home but above all for themselves. The best of The NBA are indeed the pride of the nation.

The Jump Manual – Basketball Games

Winning a Basketball game is a challenge, to be a winner even feels better, but is it really worth all this effort?

Is it the only reason one would play?

Is a game supposed to be for this reason only?

Isn’t winning and losing part of gaming ethics.

Here is what The Jump Manual Has to Say

When two teams compete in basketball, only one wins. It’s part of a two team competition; that only one scores better and wins. So why would the losing team be sorry or feel bad about it? Might be that both teams showed their best and are still the best teams available. Where is the Sportsman spirit and sportsman ship or the concept of a healthy friendly match?

The Jump Manual – One Side Must Lose For the Other to Win…

Many professional basketball players have used The Jump Manual Guide to help them increase their vertical and jump higher. They all know that there is no other way to win a Basketball game but to lose for the other. The hype, debates, news, gossip, rivalry, comments lead

Basketball (Photo credit: mvongrue)

the Players into one single ego issue; that our team is the best and nothing is left here to compromise. Players fight, players hurt, players make it a serious matter.

Some leave the Basketball sport or profession when faced with consecutive defeats and losses, some don’t.

Some are cool to be in Basketball and some cannot stand defeat.

It is the only reason why Basketball players, who are much more patient and wise, try to be in the lime light without raising brows.

These Basketball players not only grew struggling but they know the game, in and out of the basketball court; and here is how they handle some of the relevant matters.

An article by “Fred Silva” on “Pounding The Rock” :

Fred Silva describes the various Basketball teams, there placing, availability and importance; and how they are maintaining their Status co, professional and media presence.

<img class="zemanta-img-inserted zemanta-img-configured" title="XX.
It is once again that time of year when Popovich will choose to play the Did Not Dress card as often as possible. In previous seasons, this annoyed me to no end. I felt as if the Spurs needed 20 things to go their way in order to have a chance at winning it all and the games that he seemingly threw away served to start us off 0 for 5. This year, however, my mindset has shifted. In my opinion, we are now the team to beat in the West. If you are with me so far, then logically, our seeding is insignificant as are our opponents. Rest and health are paramount to our future success. So I agree with Coach Pop for the first time when it comes to his fondness of sitting our Big Three. Let them rest up and simply be in position to pounce when the playoffs arrive.

Further more “Fred Silva” describes and opine the different approaches the Basketball teams and the Basketball players have taken till now and have had previously.

My attitude has as much to do with the Spurs as it has to do with our Western Conference competition. No one out there scares me. For the first time since 2005, I think San Antonio is the best team out West. It’s a great, calming feeling to have. Now, let me do my best to take you to where I have arrived.

In my mind, there are four teams that are decent in the West and the rest are simply mediocre, relative to the Spurs strengths and weaknesses, that is. Let’s begin with five teams that I would gladly play. Some will require a longer explanation than others. I’m going to use the top nine teams in the West since the seventh and eighth seeds are still up for grab.

The Jump Manual- Basketball Win

it is an undeniable fact that most of the athletes who have adhered to the guidelines as outlined in The Jump Manual, have benefited tremendously.
So since it is understood that professionalism has some methods of it’s own; where tactics, squaring maneuvers, public interest and individual credibility wins games, off court and in the long run.

It does not make a difference anymore if one stays out off the game or team, what matters is the approach taken for a positive and beneficial goal. The Basketball players understanding of demand and utilization, to profit on the assets Basketball players hold, lies within themselves. It is by following the principals taught in The Jump Manual that these players got to where the are today.

No matter where it starts, in the beginning of amateur Basketball athletes or later as in a professional Basketball career; it is just Basketball, your Basketball.

For students of The Jump Manual true basketball becomes Life, the Game, the Career, the Spirit, Struggle and the spirit of the theme that brings it all together to the great sport that it is and the joy that they bring to their respective fans.

There are two ways to play Basketball video games, by purchasing it or playing on line and here The Jump Manual will discuss briefly about them.

For people who do not have access to any internet facility could simply buy them. Different games in various versions are available and they keep on improving every year. The sounds, graphics and maneuvers are simply breath taking. These games give home entertainment a totally new look.

For those who have internet could play Basketball to some extent with online facility.

As far as Jump Manual advice is concerned for free gaming; it has it’s drawback. They are mostly not very technical or advanced, either enhanced with supreme graphics or sounds; thus being a little outdated for grown ups.

Children can have a fun load of time, instead of a bed time story. It is also a fact that these online free games are best for children

No Video Games (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

with simplicity and ease. Watching bigger cousins play on a LCD with the latest available International version of THE BEST Basketball game; the kids too gather around their own mini system, as they are too young to play on court for now.

The Jump Manual – What the Pro feel like

For Professional Basketball Players, Basketball is totally a life style; acquiring Basketball day in and day out. A game that is a Profession, where the planning, future and present; all depends on Basketball gaming performance. In these families basketball surrounds everything and so do for the children. Many of these children grow up to play basketball in college and many end up with the Jump Manual as guide to jumping higher and increasing vertical. Having a pool table for a change of taste perhaps is good but ultimately it comes down to indoor games and video games are the best option.

Here is one of the sites, “Online Games”, for reference.

The Jump Manual – Play In and Out

So the next time when there is a get together just compromise on one thing; Basketball video games. For adults and children both. Entertainment and competition for everyone. The children might well say that their team is The Champion of the neighborhood.

Champions of The Basketball Video Game. Happy Gaming.

The following is The Jump Manual Review of Johnny Jones.

Johnny Jones is extremely excited about this opportunity to be a part of LSU. He is waiting to go back to Baton Rouge since he grew up in DeRidder and lived 27 years of his life at LSU from 1980-97. He always had been a tremendous coach who completely deserves to be a part of LSU. He struggled all the way through and maintains himself tough and strong in his basketball career.

A report from “USA Today” www.usatoday.com told:

Homegrown Johnny Jones, a former guard and assistant coach at LSU during the golden era of the program in the 1980s and ’90s, was hired as the Tigers’ new men’s basketball coach on Friday afternoon. He was the coach at North Texas the previous 11 seasons and took the Mean Green to five straight 20-win seasons from 2007-11 and to NCAA Tournaments in 2007 and 2011 behind a high scoring offense like the one his mentor, Dale Brown, used at LSU.

“I am extremely excited about this opportunity,” said Jones, who grew up in DeRidder and spent 27 years of adult life at LSU from 1980-97. “I can’t wait to get back there to Baton Rouge and LSU to get started. I look forward to the challenges ahead and to have an opportunity to come back and be a part of a special program at LSU. This is certainly a dream come true to return to a place that has so many memories for me.”

All the hard work and stunning performances made Brown and Jones reach the Final Four in 1986, an elite eight in 1987 and 10 straight NCAA Tournaments from 1984-93.

Jump Manual – The Basketball Teams Performance

LSU won only 12 SEC games in the last three seasons for former coach Trent Johnsons, now he had left for Texas Christian University. Johnson recommended Jones to Alleva, he interviewed Jones four years ago when he was replacing John Brady but he

hired Johnson from Stanford instead. LSU contended in the SEC in the 2011-12 season before finishing 7-9 and 18-15, and only seven scholarship players are returning for next season. Jones is hoping they will hit the ground with five scholarship positions available for this coming year and he will begin to put together a championship staff for LSU program.

LSU contended in the SEC in the 2011-12 season before finishing 7-9 and 18-15 overall with an NIT berth. But only seven scholarship players are returning for next season with just one signee at the moment.

“We will hit the ground running on recruiting with five scholarship spots available for this coming year,” Jones said. “And then in the near future, I will begin to put together a championship staff for our program. I want to reconnect with the fans in Baton Rouge that pushed us and gave our basketball team so much energy through the years when I was there as part of the program.”

Associate athletic director Bo Bahnsen, who was a team manager when Jones first started, playing at LSU in 1980 out of DeRidder High, was the first LSU official to confirm the hiring Friday afternoon. Bahnsen was the basketball team’s administrative assistant from 1982-89.

“I’m excited for Johnny,” said Bahnsen, who was on LSU’s search committee for a coach along with athletic director Joe Alleva and associate athletic director Eddie Nunez. “It’s almost surreal that this has happened for him. He worked all of his life to put himself in this position. I think he’ll bring back the city to basketball. He’ll bring back the passion.”

Jump Manual and The Future Goal in Basketball

Eddie Nunez believes Jones worked all of his life to put himself in this position. He thinks he has the capability to bring back the city to basketball and bring back the passion. Bahnsen has said that he is confident about Johnny from that aspect. He is in no doubt that Johnny Jones is the right man for the job. Jones has the personality and experience to do the job.

“I have followed Johnny closely since my first meeting with him four years ago when he was very impressive in my interview with him,” Alleva said. “I have taken every opportunity to visit with him since that time, and I have come to know him well. He is the solid coach and recruiter that we need, and I am particularly impressed with his passion for LSU. It is his passion that I know will translate into success on and off the court for our student-athletes under his leadership.”

After leaving LSU following the 1997 season, Jones was an assistant coach at Memphis and later the interim head coach at Memphis for a season. He was an assistant at Alabama in the 2000-01 season before getting the head coaching job at North Texas.

“I am pleased to welcome Johnny Jones back to Baton Rouge, where he helped build a winner and where I am confident he will once again build a winner and bring excitement back to the Maravich Center,” Alleva said.

LSU officials do not expect Jones to bring back the serious NCAA penalties that LSU drew late in the final years of Brown and Jones with the Tigers for their recruitment of Lester Earl. Brady later was saddled with scholarship limitations and probation for the violations under Brown’s and Jones’ watch.

“I’m very confident in Johnny from that aspect,” said Bahnsen, who has worked in NCAA compliance at LSU for two decades since leaving the basketball team in the late 1980s. “If anyone knows how to do it right now, he does. I have no reservations about Johnny and the NCAA. He learned his lesson. He’s paid that sacrifice. Joe realizes that. It was a long time ago. Everybody makes mistakes. Being in compliance, I can tell you that book is very difficult. And believe me, Johnny knows all the rules.”

In 11 seasons at North Texas, Jones compiled a 190-146 record with a 91-88 mark in the Sun Belt. He took the Mean Green to the NCAA Tournament twice over the last five years – in 2007 and 2011 – and came within a win in the tournament title game of two more appearances.

“I am 100 percent confident that Johnny Jones is the right man for the job,” Bahnsen said. “He has the personality and experience to do the job.”

Basketball related expectations are all time high and hopes are; it is going to be a remarkable comeback in Basketball coaching, best of luck to the new Basketball coach. Brought to you by the Jump Manual Review

He revealed this after Miami Heat’s practice against Chicago that they played the whole summer, those who practice a lot should be rewarded. As he considers the college players should be compensated as well. Unfortunately we are not there yet but still he thinks there should be something for it. Though they don’t get remunerated by the International Olympics Committee, but the fact is that Wade and all other NBA stars already do get paid for their Olympics participation.

In an article by “Kurt Badenhausen” on “Forbes” – forbes.com it has been stated that:

Ray Allen of the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade both came out in support this week of NBA players getting paid for their participation in the Olympics. Wade, who is likely to be on the U.S. roster this summer in London, pointed to the money NBA players generate.

“It’s a lot of things you do for the Olympics — a lot of jerseys you sell,” Wade said after the Heat’s practice on Wednesday in advance of Thursday’s game against Chicago. “We play the whole summer. I do think guys should be compensated. Just like I think college players should be compensated as well. Unfortunately, it’s not there. But I think it should be something, you know, there for it.”

The NBA, Olympics and Global exposure

The Olympics provide Wade global exposure and allow him to command more valuable endorsement deals. According to the piece of information Wade earns more than $10 million annually off the court from sponsors. The dynamic strength behind the NBA stars are companies who provides off court incomes to them. Ten NBA players have signature deals. Except Amar’e Stoudemire and John Wall as they didn’t make the cut, rest eight of them are part of the preliminary USA basketball roster. That

BOSTON, MA - MAY 09: LeBron James #6 talks with teamamte Dwyane Wade #3 of the Miami Heat in Game Four of the Eastern Conference Semifinals in the 2011 NBA Playoffs on May 9, 2011 at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.
kind of deals typically starts from $5 million and can strike up to $15 million. These companies repeatedly send its superlative players to Asia and Europe during the NBA off-season to store openings or basketball clinics. They want these players on the world stage to drive their sales. The Olympics is another form of it. Wade commented about it that there is a lot of Olympics business that happens and athletes are not a part of, and it’s a complicated issue. He also added his love for his country is far more important than dollars.

The NBA Stars Future and Money

When players get recognized in NBA they definitely get sponsored by individuals and companies, the future for these deserving and potent NBA athletes and players is very bright and rewarding.

Jeremy Lin, 23, played as a Point Guard in New York Knicks gives his best in all his performances, had recently a left knee surgery. The New York Knicks had a bad-time in 2011, there playoff expectation were demolished due to the back injury of Amar’e Stoudmire and NY knicks got swept by Boston in 2012 cause of Chauncey Billups’ strained left knee. According to Ian Bebley of ESPN New York, Jeremy Lin said he doesn’t believe the healing process is going fast enough to allow him to return for the Knicks’ first-round series.

In an article by “Alex Kay” on Bleacher Report bleacherreport.com it has been stated that:

“Jeremy Lin’s lengthy recovery from knee surgery is going to cost the New York Knicks a playoff run.

According to Ian Begley of ESPN New York, the star, Jeremy Lin, himself said he doesn’t believe the healing process is going fast enough to allow him to return for the Knicks’ first-round series.

Before Knicks’- Bulls game Jeremy Lin said “I think unless something goes really well I wouldn’t get there”

New York isn’t even 100 percent sure they will qualify for the postseason yet. They are sitting just two games ahead of the Milwaukee Bucks, with eight match-ups left for each of them.

However, the Knickerbockers got a huge win on Wednesday night over the Bucks and are in control of their own destiny at this point.

Jeremy Lin – Replacing for now

BOSTON, MA - MARCH 04: Jeremy Lin #17 of the New York Knicks reacts in the overtime period against the Boston Celtics on March 4, 2012 at TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. The Boston Celtics defeated the New York Knicks 115-111 in overtime. (Image credit: Getty Images via @daylife)

New York having hesitations either they will be eligible for the postseason so far or not. With Jeremy Lin healing from his injury

that might take some time from now. They are setting two games ahead, with 8 match-ups left for each of them with Milwaukee

Bucks. If they assume to push into the coming playoffs they will get into trouble as their best player is suffering from a knee ache. Although the Knickerbockers got an enormous win over Bucks on Wednesday and are in control of their own destiny at that point. Knicks might have found a new PG, the another option instead of Lin is Stoudemire who is also mislaid because of back problem right before the playoffs which is going to cost them a shot at contending.

Jeremy Lin – An Expected Grand Come-Back

No matter how bad the injury, Jeremy is young, fit and supple. He is expected to make a full recovery and personally I think that this will happen sooner rather than later. At 23, all his career is still ahead of his. My personal prediction is that 10 years from now as we look back on his career, Jeremy Lin will be one of the best basketball players to have ever walked this earth.

Kobe Bryant made five million dollars a year when he was just nineteen years old and now Bryant definitely has become a great competitor in the NBA, breaking records.

Playing for the LA Lakers, he is one of the best basketball players of all time. Nothing seems to stop him.

Ranked at #10 in the 2009 Top 100 Celebrities, second top paid athlete with an off-court income rising to 28 million dollars in 2011-2012.

The “Richest People” Website show the stats of Kobe Bryant’s Net Worth, Annual Earnings and Career Salaries:
