Some Star Wars x green architecture geek humor:

Bright Tree Village is an exemplar of sustainable, low-tech development. This Ewok settlement on the forest moon of Endor follows the traditional pattern: thatched-roof huts are arranged on the main branches of a tree around the chief’s hut on the trunk. Can you believe this piece was generated from a single typeface without any custom lettering?

The typeface is Champion Script Pro by Parachute based out of Athens, Greece. It comes in two weights, Regular and Bold, and contains over 4,280 glyphs for a wide range of alternates and ligatures.

It’s actually a one-person prison cell in the Leoben prison in Austria designed by Joseph Hohensinn. Inside the cell are a private bathroom, kitchenette, and floor-to-ceiling windows that open onto balconies.

Best of all, when rubbed, they smell like dark chocolate too!

By now you’ve probably seen all the hub-bub about Jorge Colombo’s New Yorker cover made with the Brushes app on the iPhone. Well it turns out, 20x200 is selling prints of the four cover variants.

It’s $20 for an 8”x10”, $50 for 11”x14”, and $200 for 16”x20”. If you want one of the bargain-priced 8”x10”, act fast as there is just 200 of each print at that size. At the time of the posting, there were only about 90 of each in the 8”x10”

LEGO is launching the Architect series of the Architecture line with two new sets based on Frank Lloyd Wright’s most recognizable buildings, the Solomon R Guggenheim Museum and “Fallingwater”.

I think the “Fallingwater” set looks pretty true to the original but the Guggenheim didn’t translate well into LEGO.
