Something stuck in my mind... a man says to his daughter, when her husband leaves her for doing what was right, "You are blessed... blessed with a burden."

A lot of people don't understand how I "operate." Why I choose to be a Christian. Why I choose to have nothing to do with drugs, extra-marital sex, why I say things that people hate because I believe that the Bible is RIGHT and people are WRONG...

I love people. But people are not God. I worship God, and love people - not the other way around.

I know this makes people uncomfortable, but I'm not sorry. I love God, and I love YOU, and accommodating for sin doesn't do people any favours. I have my own sin; how am I supposed to repent of my own sin, and yet deny it in everyone around me?

I've been to a lot of Churches. I've heard a lot of sermons. Most of them were telling me how I could be better, happier, and more fulfilled in life through a series of steps or a strategy laid out by the preacher. Yet Jesus was BRAVE and STRONG - he told people that the only way to true peace and joy is to lay down your life, repent, follow Him, and if necessary, follow Him to the death.

If He calls me, I will do it. I will follow Him to the death. And so will my brothers and sisters in Christ. Because it is no longer I that lives, but Christ who lives in me. My life is not my own anymore.

People see this when they look into my eyes and it scares them. They see a person who is a willing slave, and they don't understand how I can be so happy. HERE IS THE TRUTH:

We are ALL willing slaves.

People were created by God, to worship. It is our purpose and, if you like, "the meaning of life." We are NOT free, we all worship something or someone. We may worship ourselves as gods, or our lifestyle, or other people... whatever we devote ourselves to has the potential to be our idol.

The point is, everybody is worshipping something, whether they know it or not.

I CHOOSE YOU, JESUS.

I choose to worship the creator, the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I choose to worship the God who created me, loves me, and was willing to leave Heaven, carry the burden of my sin, and lay down his life for me.

I won't be a slave to sin. Sin has brought me nothing but misery and pain, and sin makes promises of joy that are very quickly broken. And yet, we go back to our sin like a dog goes back to its vomit, hoping the next time around it won't be so awful.

I choose to serve my Commander-In-Chief, my Hero, my Master, my Daddy... The Almighty God.

I gave Him my brokenness and my sin; He exchanged it for Eternity.

So, you might think I'm crazy, or that I'm missing out. But I'm not. I'm living a scary, challenging, beautiful, purposeful life.

And I wouldn't have it any other way.

Reflections on Quiet Time

<dc:subject>Walk</dc:subject>

I've waited all my life to be here face to face
I never knew that I could feel this kind of grace
The way You showed me that Your love has washed me clean
Could never be erased it lives inside of me

Take me to that secret place
Where I can only see Your face
And nothing else will ever feel this way

You take away my guilty stains
The things I've done that I can't change
It's only by the power of Your name

I stand here in this place
See the glory on Your face
I'm taken by the wonder of Your name

I'm desperate for Your touch
Never needed it so much
'Cos all I want is You

When all the things around me have fallen to the ground
I'm always thankful for the love in You I've found

All I Want Is You - Planetshakers

<u>Choices:</u> Light or Darkness?

<dc:subject>Walk</dc:subject>

How do you feel about hidden things? I was humiliated in one of my tutorials by my own tutor, who verbally attacked me regarding Hillsong Church. I chose to step down, as I was seething inwardly and didn't want to say something I'd later regret - but MAKE NO MISTAKE - I will defend the Bride of Christ to the death. I am in Her, I am a part of Her - therefore how can I not defend Her?

The time is coming where no-one outside the Church will respect Her. The Earth will be divided - sheep on one side and goats on the other. And as the Church we must band together in the name of Jesus Christ, and stand firm against the ways of the World. For friendship with the World is enmity with Christ, and if we do not stand for righteousness, who will?

We must grab hold of the True Love Christ has taught us, and run with it in hand. We cannot mumble, look at our shoelaces and twiddle our thumbs while the World screams lies into our faces. We must take hold of that authority which Christ DIED to give us! Live above complacency. As a group we seem less spiritually effective than our Asian or African counterparts. The kind of supernatural experiences that these Christians live with every day seem "over spiritual" in comparison to our lives. They don't have the same cultural barriers to spirituality that we do. The reason we are often failing in spiritual warfare, if engaging in it at all, is because we don't give credibility to spiritual matters and we don't understand authority like we should.

We live in a frame of mind that favours the democratic process over a dictatorship. In our culture, we associate any kind of absolute power as being negative, corrupt and dangerous. We live in societies that are controlled (generally speaking,) by the people and for the people. However, as Christians we live under God's Kingdom, which has one absolute authority; our Heavenly Father. This authority has been imparted to us since the Beginning...

Genesis 1:26
"God said, Let Us make mankind in Our image, after Our likeness, and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the beasts, and over all of the earth..."

Through Christ we claim back this perfect authority, and exercise it over the Earth. Yet because we do not understand God's perfect, awesome and complete power we rarely fulfill our destinies in Christ: to bring the Will of God to Earth through our human authority. In the Bible there was a man who understood Christ's authority. His story is in Matthew 8:5-13. As a Roman Centurion he knew that if Christ gave an order, through God's perfect authority, it would be done. But because of our democratic mindset we do not take hold of this whole and complete authority. I challenge you to expand your vision concerning your destiny, and what God has called you to bring to completion in the Earth. By declaring His Word you can exercise your authority as a representative of Christ on the Earth. But the Bible says that God so LOVED the world that he sent Jesus!
Homosexuals are craving the same love and acceptance as all of humanity, the love of God. Sadly, they're looking in all the wrong places.
They need to know that although God hates sin, he loved them enough to die for them, and they can find that love in Jesus Christ, instead of in the arms of another.
We, as Christians, are called to share the love of Christ with a fallen world. Satan is the one who hates people. He hates us and wants to destroy us with sin. But God wants to save us from that sin. I agree that people need to know they're sinning, but in this fallen world most sin goes unacknowledged. They think love and hate are opposites. They are not. The opposite of love is selfishness. If you put your own interests, desires, ambitions and feelings before those of others, than you are not loving them.

We all do this from time to time, but to walk in love is to continually crucify the flesh and put others first. We live in a society that honours pride, selfishness and arrogance. God hates these things. Proverbs repeatedly warns us against living with an attitude that is selfish, as it leads to corruption and eventually death.

I know this is a bitter pill for many to swallow, but it needs to be said, because 1 Corinthians 13 warns us of what happens when we do not love. All our ambition, everything we have strived for, is worth absolutely nothing unless we are walking in love. Love is not a funny feeling in your guts. Love is not a tingling in your spine. Love is not something you can feel on the outside. Love is something you DO. Love is putting others before yourself.

Love is different.

Refuse to Accept the Unacceptable

<dc:subject>Walk</dc:subject>

Read 1 Samuel 1-2:10
Hannah refused to listen to the negative people in her life. She trusted God and worshipped Him in the hardest times. The men around her were always trying to bring her down a peg or two, but she refused to conform to what they expected of her. Instead, she sought after the approval of the Lord.

We could all learn a lot from Hannah! Especially women, as we are so often defined by the men in our lives. There is nothing wrong with seeking the advice and support of Godly men; in fact I would recommend it; but first and foremost we must seek God! He is the one who defines us and provides for us. Hannah knew this, and because of her great faith she bore a son, Samuel.

Sometimes, God shuts things. He closed Hannah's womb, and this caused her to seek after God. There are times in our lives that he shuts things in order that we may birth something greater. Instead of becoming despondent when God removes something from your life, look to God to answer your prayers. Ask Him to strengthen you with His Holy Spirit. Do not despair; the Holy Spirit is there to fill in for your weaknesses, that you may stand strong in Him even though you feel weak. It is a great challenge, but with God's help we can see something that many would consider a loss or a failure as an opportunity to go deeper in Him.

Walking With The Creator…

<dc:subject>Walk</dc:subject>

There is nothing like having a personal relationship with the One who created you!

Isaiah 55:10-11

As the rain and the snow
come down from heaven,
and do not return to it
without watering the earth
and making it bud and flourish,
so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
So is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Genesis 9:16-17

Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth."

So God said to Noah, "This is the sign of the covenant I have established between me and all life on the earth."

Lord, let your Spirit fall on me like rain, and penetrate deeply into my soul and watering the seeds of your Word.

Like the Flood, let your rain fall heavy and enduring, sweeping away all that is worldly and unclean in me.

Stepping Out...

<dc:subject>Walk</dc:subject>

Step out in faith!
