I am pleased to present my latest painting to the online world which is titled Erg Chebbi. It is named after the place I took the original photo, the Erg Chebbi Sand Dunes in Morocco.

This painting continues in my theme of using different shaped pixels on the same canvas and starting to break away from the more structured grid pieces I have been doing over the last few years (not breaking away much, but a bit).

The painting is 36 inches square and acrylic on canvas. This painting is available for purchase. All comments and feedback are welcome.

Contemporary Art Show in Toronto, Canada: TOAE, July 5-7th 2013

I have just received some great news. I have been accepted to TOAE (Toronto outdoor art exhibition) again this year which runs from July 5th -7th. I will be posting more information about my booth soon.

About the event:
Now in its 52nd year, the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition [TOAE] is a juried showcase featuring contemporary fine art and craft that takes place annually on Nathan Phillips Square, every July.

As the largest juried outdoor art exhibition in Canada, TOAE offers a fresh-air alternative to conventional art shows and galleries. Hundreds of artists participate and an estimated 100,000 visitors attend the exhibition every year. Side by side, established artists, undiscovered talents and innovative students sell their work directly to the public and make lasting connections with art dealers and collectors.

This weekend I am attending Arts on the Credit at the Waterside Inn in Port Credit Mississauga. Please come out to support myself and 30 other artists. There is quite a bit of contemporary art as well as many craftsman selling their work at this event. More information on the Art Show page.

The summer is almost here which signals the beginning of quite a few art shows for me. It all starts this weekend at Arts of the Credit, then 2 weeks from now at Insomnia Restaurant on Bloor St. west. Starting at the end of May look for me at ArtBomb, a Canadian online art auction. Arts on the Credit

April 27th and 28th I will once again be at Arts on the Credit with all of my art for sale along with 30 other artists and craftsman. Last year was a great event and I am looking forward to attending again. If you are attending, please print the complimentary admission ticket and bring with you. Insomnia Restaurant & Lounge

I am pleased to announce that for the month of May my artwork will be on display at Insomnia Restaurant & Lounge on Bloor St., Toronto. I will be hanging on May 6th and open to the public on May 7th for 1 month. I have quite a bit of space at Insomnia and most of my work will be on display. It will be a good mix of my pixelated portrait and pattern paintings.

On May 7th there will be an informal reception at the Restaurant at 8 p.m. All are welcome to attend to come and enjoy the great food and atmosphere of Insomnia. Moroccan trip to Erg Chebbi Dunes and Transahara Festival

I have just returned from Morocco where I attended a Psytrance festival (Transahara) at the Erg Chebbi Dunes and roamed through the Medina of Marrakesh, what an amazing time I had. I did lots of exploring through Marrakesh, found some great treasures and had fun haggling with the vendors. At the Dunes it was all about enjoying the surroundings and dancing to house music and a bit of trance. Travelling from the Dunes I was just mesmerized by the Atlas Mountains. I took over 1000 photos and here I am sharing some of my favourites with you.
