Jelly Roll is speaking candidly about his weight loss journey.

In a new YouTube video posted on April 18, the 41-year-old country music singer, whose real name is Jason DeFord, admitted that he’s been feeling “scared” to step on the scale after saying that he’s “lost” his “way” amid his journey to shed pounds.

Keep reading to find out more…Jelly Roll said that he had decided to “enjoy the holidays” and be a little less strict in terms of his diet, before breaking his collarbone at the end of last year, which meant he had to “quit” running, walking and exercising for a “period of time.”

If you didn’t know, Jelly Roll started his weight loss journey in 2023 when he weighed over 500lbs. In his Men’s Health cover story, published in January, the Grammy winner revealed that he had dropped 275lbs.

“We hit the goal and it was right before the holidays, so I was like, ‘You know what man, I’ve been working hard for the last three years losing this weight, I’m going to enjoy the holidays,’” he recalled in the new video.

“I had a big Thanksgiving meal, I had a big birthday meal, I ate a big Christmas meal,” he continued. “Kinda got off the rails and I broke my collarbone…a few days before Christmas.”

Jelly Roll admitted that he has been “avoiding the scale” recently as he was “afraid” of how much weight he had gained, after saying, “I have, to some degree, lost my way.”

“I am scared to [weigh in],” he said. “I feel really fat, I feel really bloated, I feel like the scales are going to let me down.”

When he stepped on the scale again on April 10, Jelly Roll weighed in at 276.2 lbs, which he says is a 12-pound gain.

Jelly Roll went on to say he plans on continuing the his weight loss journey before revealing that he wants to run the New York City Marathon in November.

“I’ve never ran a marathon or thought about running a marathon,” he said in the video.

He also shared that he still hasn’t reached his goal “maintenance weight,” adding that he wanted to lose a further 40 to 50 lbs., and would love to pose shirtless for a magazine shoot.

“I know it’s getting real silly now,” Jelly Roll shared, “but I just believe there’s a story that a guy can go from 560 lbs. to a shirt off picture, it’s absurd.”

During an appearance on the Back Row podcast, the movie’s director David Frankel explained why that didn’t happen, and why they never asked.

“That felt too meta to us to put her in the movie,” he revealed, wondering, “What world are we in?”

Anna did visit the set at one point as they filmed at Dior’s offices.

“She did visit the set…she took a photo with the cast,” he explained, adding that she also filmed a “gag take” while on the set, but it wasn’t good enough to be used.

“Unfortunately, Anna jumped her cue, so the shot isn’t always in focus. And I didn’t want to do a second take. I can’t ask Anna to do take two,” he went on to explain.

The movie’s screenwriter Alina Brosh McKenna added that Anna gave a note to production about the floral arrangements on set.

“It was in the Dior set, and she was standing by the monitor with me. And she said ‘there should be flowers,’” the screenwriter began.

“No, she said the flowers are the wrong color…Dior would only have white flowers,” David recalled.

“But also there’s too many of them….too many. So I came running out and I was like ‘David, kill the flowers.’ And then we only have one vase,” Alina explained. Watch above!

Head Coach of the New England Patriots Mike Vrabel and NFL sportswriter Dianna Russini have been involved in a bit of a situation after photos surfaced of them spending time together at a Sedona resort, and then new kissing photos were published from 2020. They both originally denied any romantic involvement.

They met while they were both students at Ohio State University. Mike played college football there, and was drafted into the NFL in 1997, where he played for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jennifer was also a student athlete, playing volleyball. Jennifer and Mike ended up dating and got married in 1999. He eventually ended up in New England and played there from 2001-2008.

They have two sons together: Tyler, 25, and Carter, 24.

Eventually, Mike retired from the league and started coaching. He was the Tennessee Titans’ head coach in 2018, where he said about his wife: “I love her to death. She’s been through a lot, and she understands this league.”

In 2024, they celebrated 25 years of marriage with a big trip to Italy, which they told the New York Times was his “first true vacation … maybe ever.”

They told ESPN that their favorite night of the week in season is Fridays.

“It’s fun. He’s usually home earlier, and we grab dinner. When he coached in college, he really didn’t have a night like that, so we cherish that night. It was the same when he played,” she said. “Fridays were always the best. It became like a date night or family night.”

It is currently scheduled to be released on February 4, 2028, per Variety.

Universal did not provide a reason for the scheduling change, although Variety noted that there are some huge releases coming on December 17, 2027: Avengers: Secret Wars, The Lord of the Rings: Hunt for Gollum, and The Housemaid’s Secret.

As a result, it’s possible producers wanted to give the movie some distance from those massive franchises.

Jamie Lee Curtis is set to star as Jessica Fletcher, played by Angela Lansbury in the original TV series, which ran from 1984 to 1996 for 12 seasons. Angela passed away in 2022 at the age of 96.

We don’t know anything about what the movie will entail just yet, but Pitch Perfect director Jason Moore is helming the project, and Dumb Money writers Lauren Schuker Blum and Rebecca Angelo are doing the screenplay.

The project has been a long time coming: “Oh, it’s … happening,” Jamie said last summer.

“We’re a minute away. But yeah, very excited. Very excited,” she added. We first heard rumblings about the movie all the way back in 2023.

Sam Asghari is addressing ex-wife Britney Spears‘ decision to enter a rehab facility.

Earlier this month, a rep for the 44-year-old “Circus” singer confirmed that Britney had voluntarily checked herself into a treatment facility. The news comes more than a month after Britney was arrested for driving under the influence near her home in Ventura County, Calif.

The New England Patriots have released a statement in support of Mike Vrabel as his personal life takes a major focus during one of the biggest NFL weeks of the calendar year: the NFL Draft.

The 2026 NFL Draft kicks off tonight and runs through Saturday, but Vrabel, who is the head coach of the team, has already announced that he won’t be participating in day three, as he is seeking counseling.

This news came on the heels of new photos of him with sportswriter Dianna Russini, who he was allegedly photographed kissing in 2020.

Variety was the first to reveal that the show is no longer moving forward at the streamer.

The planned show was first announced last April as being in development.

However, it may not be over just yet: “According to sources, CBS Studios and Paramount remain high on the project and the IP. Given the rabid fanbase for the film and the auspices it boasts, it is expected to generate significant interest in the marketplace when it is taken out to buyers once again,” the outlet reports.

There are no known details about what the show was about, except that it would follow Cher’s life after the movie.

Clueless premiered in 1995, and also starred Paul Rudd, Stacey Dash, Brittany Murphy, Donald Faison, Elisa Donovan, Breckin Meyer, and Dan Hedaya. A TV adaptation aired on ABC and then UPN from 1996 until 1999 for three seasons, with Rachel Blanchard playing Cher.

President Donald Trump’s acting attorney general Todd Blanche signed an order Thursday (April 23) reclassifying state-licensed medical marijuana as a less dangerous drug.

The order doesn’t legalize marijuana for medical or recreational use under federal law, AP points out, but “it does change the way it’s regulated, shifting licensed medical marijuana from Schedule I — reserved for drugs without medical use and with high potential for abuse — to the less strictly regulated Schedule III.”

Licensed medical marijuana operators also now get a “major tax break,” and will dismantle some challenges to researching cannabis.

The Trump administration also announced a hearing June 29 “regarding the proposed rescheduling of marijuana,” the Office of Public Affairs announced.

“The Department of Justice is delivering on President Trump’s promise to expand Americans’ access to medical treatment options. This rescheduling action allows for research on the safety and efficacy of this substance, ultimately providing patients with better care and doctors with more reliable information,” the acting attorney general said in a statement in the official press release.

“Under the direction of President Trump and Acting Attorney General Blanche, DEA is expeditiously moving forward with the administrative hearing process — bringing consistency and oversight to an area that has lacked both,” added DEA Administrator Terry Cole.

“Our men and women in law enforcement remain committed to fighting drug cartels, the fentanyl epidemic, and protecting American lives.”

It’s going to be a big night for Fernando Mendoza, who is expected to become a Las Vegas Raider when the NFL Draft kicks off this evening.

The Raiders have the first pick in the draft, and there has been little debate about where the 22-year-old will be selected once the event begins, as it has seemed like such a done deal this offseason.

Fernando will not be attending the draft in person, instead opting to watch with his family and friends at a draft party. While watching, cameras will be on hand to celebrate with Fernando and the cameras may pan to Fernando‘s parents, Elsa and Fernando Sr..

Fans have noticed that Elsa is in a wheelchair, and Fernando Sr. always remains seated by her side, even during major touchdown celebrations. Elsa is in a wheelchair due to a condition called Multiple Sclerosis (aka M.S.)

Fernando has spoken about his mom being his best friend amid her battle with the central nervous system disease.

“At this point, she has a tough time moving around and stuff like that, but her happiness, her joy and her determination is what inspires me every single day and that’s what pushes me. You know, if I’m in a workout and I’m feeling tired, you know, a little thought in my mind goes, ‘Maybe you should skip out on this set’ or something like that, I’ll be like, my mom is out here every single day putting a ton of work, a ton of dedication and still with a great attitude, a great positive attitude in everything she does,” he said in a video for Hoosiers Connect.

Elsa has spoken about the condition, too.

She wrote for The Players’ Tribune, “I was diagnosed about 18 years ago, but of course you never knew that. You and Alberto were so young, and I was doing fine … and mostly I didn’t want you to worry. It just felt like this impossible thing to place on you guys.”

About her diagnosis, she said that Fernando made things “so much easier” in the “sweetest, strongest, most Fernando way possible — by making me feel the exact opposite of embarrassed….You’ve made me feel seen.”

The Mendoza brothers have a fundraising page for their mom, where you can donate if you have the means.

“We live in an environment now where we take survivors of sexual abuse, we take their stories very seriously. What would you say to folk who see this and they’re like, you know what, they whitewashed that part? They didn’t even include that part. How do you reconcile your performance with that?” Craig Melvin asked.

“The film takes place from the ’60s to 1988, so it does not go into the first allegations in, what, 2005?” Colman said.

“So basically, we center it on the makings of Michael. It’s an intimate portrait of who Michael is,” he continued.

“Through his eyes,” Nia added.

“That’s what this film is. And there’s the possibility of there being a Part II that may deal with other things that may happen afterwards. This is about the making of Michael, how he was raised and how he was trying to find his voice as an artist and be a solo artist. And then, the movie…I mean, well, you know, that’s what I have to say about that,” Colman went on to say.

The Los Angeles Times reported in 1993 that the LAPD has begun investigating the superstar based on allegations that he possibly molested four children, including a 13-year-old boy, per NPR. You can see a complete timeline of the allegations on Rolling Stone.

Lori Loughlin is enjoying a night out with her stepson.

The 61-year-old Full House actress was all smiles as she left The Birds Street Club after dinner with stepson Gianni Giannulli on Tuesday night (April 21) in West Hollywood, Calif.

For her night out, Lori looked stylish in a brown blazer, patterned blouse, and wide-legged gray pants.

As you’re probably aware, Lori and Mossimo got caught up in the college admissions scandal back in 2019. They pleaded guilty in May 2020 and both served time in prison. In the years since, Lori has returned to television with roles on the Great American Family channel and even an appearance on Curb Your Enthusiasm.

Following news of Lori and Mossimo‘s split, John Stamos spoke out against Mossimo, calling him a “terrible narcissist” and blamed him for the college admissions scandal.

Heated Rivalry picked up a Peabody Award on Thursday (April 23) alongside acclaimed shows like Pluribus, The Pitt and Adolescence.

The show was selected by a jury made up of 28 jurors, awarding programs in fields that include entertainment, documentary, news, podcast/radio, arts, children’s and youth, immersive and interactive media, and public service programming.

34 winners were chosen out of nominees, with over 1,000 entries in all categories.

“The winners of the 86th annual Peabody Awards reflect Peabody’s mission to honor storytelling that has the potential to change culture, whether it’s examining the destructive tactics of ICE, viewing terminal illness through a deeply personal lens, or resisting attempts to stifle free speech,” said Jeffrey Jones, executive director of Peabody, in a statement, via Variety.

“We look forward to recognizing and celebrating these winners.”

The 2026 Peabody Awards winners will be held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel on May 31, where Amy Poehler will be honored with the Peabody career achievement award, Sterlin Harjo will get the Peabody trailblazer award, James L. Brooks will be honored with the Peabody industry icon award and PBS Kids will be recognized with the Peabody institutional award.

Scarlett Johansson‘s fan favorite movie, The Nanny Diaries, based on the book of the same name by Emma McLaughlin and Nicola Kraus, is seemingly getting the TV treatment over at Netflix!

Deadline is reporting that Scarlett, who starred in the 2007 film, will be executive producing a new television project from Greg Berlanti‘s Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television.
