What does Garrett Graham’s back tattoo say and what does it mean?

In Off Campus, Garrett’s tattoo on his back between his shoulders reads, “Nullum Gratuitum Prandium” in Latin, which translates to “there is no free lunch.”

This is actually a change from the book, where the character has a fire tattoo on his arm.

The tattoo change is more personal to actor Belmont, who brings Garrett to life.

Belmont explained recently to Teen Vogue that he came up with the new tattoo idea.

“What essentially it means is that everything in life is earned. Everything has a cost; nothing comes free,” Belmont explained, revealing it was his high school wrestling team’s mantra. “It’s a core tenet of who [Garrett] is that he refuses to let anything be handed to him. He wants to deserve all of the accolades and achievements that he has.”

“So having it across his back, I thought was a nice place for it because when he has the jersey on, it says Graham right there,” he added. “But when he peels the jersey off, just on his own skin, you get to see that phrase really encapsulate who he is.”

The tattoo also foreshadows Garrett’s ending.

Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano went head-to-head in the MVP MMA match on Netflix on Saturday (May 16).

The women faced each other as the main event, which aired live on Netflix from the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.

This marked Ronda‘s first return to the ring in a decade, while it was Gina‘s first match since 2009!

The match started with Ronda coming out and securing a takedown, quickly ending in mount, before she threw a few punches.

She then locked Gina in an armbar, forcing her opponent to tap out in the first round. The match only lasted 17 seconds!

This was Ronda‘s ninth career victory in less than a minute!

After the match, the ladies continued to keep it friendly and were seen sharing a hug in the ring.

“Gina is the person who brought me into MMA and the only person who could have brought me back into MMA,” Ronda shared after the fight, via CBS Sports. “You changed my world and we changed the world. I mean, I was hoping to come out as unscathed as possible because I didn’t really want to hurt her. Luckily, it was just beautiful martial arts, that’s what I think that efficiency is.”

Despite her victory, Ronda shut down any talk of her coming back for another fight.

“There’s no way I could have ended it better than this,” she said. “I want to have some more babies, and I’ve got to get cooking.”

Gina, on the other hand, is more open to jumping back into the ring with another opponent!

She said she wished she was going up against a striker rather than someone like Ronda, who is an Olympic medalist in judo.

“I wanted that to last longer,” she shared. “I felt like I was so ready, I felt so good … I wanted to hit her. Getting in the cage was a victory.”

Molly Shannon made a surprise appearance during a sketch on Saturday Night Live on Saturday (May 16)!

The 61-year-old actress and comedian returned to the late night show, where she got her breakout as a cast member from 1995 to 2001.

She last made an appearance during the 50th anniversary special, and prior to that, she hosted in 2023.

During this week’s episode, she reunited with former co-star Will Ferrell in a sketch where a group of high school students anticipate their upcoming musical’s cast list being posted.

In “Cast List 2,” Molly appears closer to the end, playing the school’s (handsy) choir teacher and the show’s music director, Ms Peebles.

Molly‘s character dismissed claims she was “too handsy” with male students.

“A couple of things about me,” she says. “First of all, some people say that I’m too handsy with boys. That’s a lie. I don’t know who started it. And number two, I am tough as nails, but guess what? I get results.”

She then says, “Watch this,” and calls over a student (Tommy Brennan) and asks him to sing the highest note he can.

After he obliges, she says he can do better and instructs him to pull his tummy in, where she then touches his stomach and says he has nice abs. Then, as she tells him to put his butt out, she yanks up his pants as he sings higher, before she pulls more and eventually reaches her hand around from behind and grabs his crotch with both hands.

The sketch was one resurrected from one that was cut for timing during Will Ferrell‘s hosting gig back in 2019.

Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith opened Will Ferrell‘s monologue on Saturday Night Live on Saturday (May 16), impersonating the actor.

Chad‘s resemblance to Will has been joked about for many years!

“I’m thrilled to be back hosting Saturday Night Live,” Chad said as Will. “I was a cast member here for seven years. And now I’m hosting for the sixth time! Amazing, it really feels like coming home.”

Will then makes his own entrance, bewildered by the takeover.

“What the hell do you think you’re doing? You’re not the host. I am!” Will said. “What the hell is wrong with you? He pushed me down backstage. And I fell, hard. Lorne had to give me mouth-to-mouth. Seriously, what are you even doing here?”

After kicking Chad off stage, Will said, “Don’t clap for him. He’s a bad guy. God, I’m sorry. That was weird, right? It was really weird. You know what? Let’s just do a hard reset.”

He later took a question from the audience, and the question came from none other than musical guest Paul McCartney!

“I have a question. What do you think you’re doing, Chad?” Paul asked.

“Look, I understand your confusion,” Will replied. “Me and Chad do look a lot alike. But I’m Will. I’m hosting tonight.”

Paul responded, “Nice try, Chad. Get back. Get back behind the drums where you belong.”

Will then named songs Paul has written over the years, listing out several Beatles, Wings and solo hits.

“But people often forget there’s some great songs you didn’t write,” Will said. “The alphabet song. ‘Timber’ featuring Pitbull. All the Smash Mouth stuff.”

“Get your ass behind the drums, Chad,” Paul lamented.

Will Ferrell kicked off the final episode of Saturday Night Live‘s 51st season by appearing in the cold open.

The 58-year-old actor and comedian returned to the sketch show for his sixth time hosting, and started his hosting stint playing the ghost of Jeffrey Epstein.

In the sketch, Will‘s Epstein comes to haunt James Austin Johnson’s Donald Trump, with the duo ending the opening with a duet of “Just the Two of Us.”

“How you doing, Donnie baby?” Will says.

“Not so good, Jeffrey,” James responds. “My approval ratings’ in the 30s.”

“Oh, the 30s. Gross. Call me when it hits 17!” Will adds with a laugh.

James‘ Trump asks how Heaven is, and Will‘s Epstein replies, “It’s really, really hot. But you know me. I keep busy. Mahjong every Wednesday with Stalin and John Wayne Gacy. That guy has stories!”

Epstein then asks about Trump’s summer plans.

“We’ve got the World Cup, a UFC fight on my lawn like I’m white trash on Worldstar,” James says. We’re also doing the Patriot Games, where high school athletes come from all over the country.”

Titled GucciCore, the runway show saw the likes of Tom Brady, Paris Hilton, and Emily Ratajkowski walking the streets of the iconic plaza. Legendary model Cindy Crawford closed the show!

Celebs in attendance and sitting front row included Mariah Carey, Lindsay Lohan and husband Bader Shammas, Shawn Mendes, Kim Kardashian and many more.

The GucciCore show, from creative director Demna Gvasalia, was inspired by Robert Longo‘s “Men in the Cities” series.

GucciCore distills the essence of Gucci as a visual language into a collection built around a new core wardrobe. A plurality of styles that intersect like the streets of the city.

During the presentation, Paris Hilton marked her return to the runway for the first time since 2023. She rocked a different look, donning a brunette wig, marking a strong contrast from usual blonde locks.

Paris last walked the runway in the Mugler Womenswear Spring/Summer 2024 fashion show in October 2023 during Paris Fashion Week.

Trans model Vivian Wilson hit the runway once again for Gucci. She last walked the runway for the brand back in February for their Womenswear Fall/Winter 2026 show at Milan Fashion Week.

James Franco is returning to Hollywood in a big way.

The 48-year-old actor has been cast in the upcoming Rambo prequel titled John Rambo, which is being executive produced by the original Rambo star Sylvester Stallone.

According to Entertainment Weekly, James‘ will only have a minor role in the movie, but it’s still his first “big studio movie” since appearing briefly in the 2017 film Alien: Covenant.

He also chatted with Deadline at the 2026 Cannes Film Festival and said the movie won’t be ready for the summer of 2026, but he thinks “it will be end of this year or spring-summer 2027.”

Noah Centineo stars as the titular character and the film is directed by Jalmari Helander (Sisu). David Harbour also recently joined the cast.

In a 2018 Los Angeles Times article, the 127 Hours star was accused of sexual misconduct by five women, four of whom were at an acting school he ran. Two of the students filed a lawsuit in 2019. It was settled in 2021. His rep denied the allegations.

He is at Cannes for the third year in a row, returning alongside girlfriend Izabel Pakzad. While the Rambo prequel will be his first big studio film in over a decade, he has been in other smaller projects like the Italian movie Hey Joe. He will also play Fidel Castro in the upcoming film Castro’s Daughter.

Bob Odenkirk is reflecting on the terrifying period of his life when he had a heart attack.

The 63-year-old two-time Emmy Award winner spoke to The Times of London in an interview published on Friday (May 15) about his 2021 heart attack and the recovery period.

Bob was 58 at the time and had been filming an episode of Better Call Saul season 6. His co-stars Rhea Seehorn and Patrick Fabian were on set with him, along with the crew.

“I went down and Rhea and Patrick grabbed me and they were screaming, but [the crew members who noticed] thought they were laughing,” Bob recalled. “So there were delays in reacting because we were all so far apart from each other. I was gone. I turned gray. Eventually the on-set medic showed up and he didn’t know what to do. He’d never done CPR.”

He continued, “A lot of people get that wonderful reel of film of their life, or they have a person who says, ‘Do you want to go back?’ None of that for me. The first memory I have is leaving the hospital a week after I got there.”

But he says the immediate period after, when he was in recovery, was “such a gift.”

“I felt just very, very delighted and engaged,” the actor reflected.

According to the outlet, his heart attack was caused by “a build-up of plaque that blocked an artery.” He has since cut back on sugar and is taking several different medications, including metoprolol, “a beta-blocker that reduces blood pressure.”

Last month, the Breaking Bad star revealed training for this movie helped him survive the heart attack.

Gina Carano has been happily married for years, but she only told the world about it very recently.

The 44-year-old retired MMA fighter, who is currently prepping to fight Ronda Rousey in a huge Netflix event for a Most Valuable Promotions MMA triple main event, has been married to Kevin Ross since 2022.

The couple first met in the early 2000s and began dating. They later rekindled their relationship and married in August 2022, but Gina didn’t publicly reveal that until she was doing press for her fight against Ronda at a press conference in March 2026.

“I got married to my first and last love, Kevin Ross,” she said at the time. “And it was the best thing I’ve ever done. So now you all know. I’m married.”

According to the New York Post, the pair reconciled in 2015. They married in a courthouse after deciding they’d rather have an intimate and secret wedding.

“He really did start off my career and gave me meaning to my life,” Gina shared. “It’s weird that it happened, I don’t know if it wasn’t for him. He’s the kind of person who in one day completely just changed his life and that affected mine.”

The actors star in the upcoming movie as daughter and father, and they just debuted the pic at the annual event.

The pair were joined at the premiere screening by co-stars Eric Wareheim, Tim Heidecker, Emma Mackey and Charlotte Le Bon, as well as writer/director Quentin Dupieux and producer Hugo Selignac.

In the movie, Kristen and Woody star as “a father-daughter duo who travel to Paris in an attempt to reconnect. However, French cuisine, a 1950s horror movie and a nosy hotel employee interrupt their stay,” per Variety.

The publication reports the screening drew mixed reactions, but still elicited a five minute standing ovation from the crowd in attendance.

Earlier in the day, the cast stepped out for a photo call at the film festival.

Kristen recently gushed about wanting to work with Quentin Dupieux.

“I love his movies. They just don’t look or feel like anyone else’s, and those are the types of directors that actors are so lucky to be able to follow,” she told Variety ahead of the festival. “He holds the camera at all times. You are with him, connected completely. He knows how he’s going to edit it by the end of the day. If he’s missing a shot, he gets it. He’s beyond an auteur, he’s like a mastermind.”

The 33-year-old Sex Education alum hosted the season finale of Saturday Night Live U.K. on Saturday (May 16) and his monologue took aim at apparent low viewership for the most recent seasons of the long-running sci-fi series.

In particular, he pointed out the season 15 finale that ended with his Doctor regenerating as Billie Piper, the actress who famously playing companion Rose Tyler from 2005-2006 and made additional appearances in 2008 and 2010.

“I’ve had so many fantastic roles in my career. Millions of you watched me as Eric in Sex Education, and then about 12 of you watched me in Doctor Who. Maybe that’s why I kept crying,” he joked.

“Joking aside, it was genuinely a magical role. In fact, it was the first time my parents were truly proud of my career. When I told them I got the part, they said, ‘Finally, a doctor in the family.’ Even though I have since regenerated into Billie Piper,” he continued, pausing for the laughs. “I don’t understand it either … I still love Doctor Who, and I got to meet so many crazy characters, sort of a bit like this place.”

Per reporter Adam Schefter, Aaron is expected to sign the one-year deal worth up to $25 million, including a base salary between $22 and $23 million, as well as up to “a few million more in incentives.”

On Friday night (May 15), Aaron was reportedly spotted getting ice cream with several teammates in the Pittsburgh area, and he’s expected to report to team activities on Monday (May 18).

Last year, it was revealed that Aaron signed a one-year deal with the Steelers. At the time, the team shared some stats on Aaron‘s career thus far, including he has “appeared in 241 games, starting 248 of them. He has completed 5,369 of 8,245 passes, 65.1%, for 62,952 yards and 503 touchdowns.”

Of course, after playing in the 2025 season, those stats have changed.

Coming up later this year, Aaron will head into his 22nd NFL season. He first signed with the Green Bay Packers in 2005, and has also played for the New York Jets.

Ella Bright plays singer-songwriter Hannah Wells in Amazon Prime Video’s new series Off Campus, but is the actress actually singing in the show?

Ella Bright worked with a vocal coach and teachers to get the music right

It turns out that, yes, Ella is actually singing in the show! She told Variety about working with a vocal coach throughout production and even visiting the studio on her days off.

She and her co-star Josh Heuston, who plays fellow musician Justin Kohl, were both studious about learning piano and guitar so they wouldn’t need any hand (or vocal) doubles for the show.

“I feel very happy to say that it was all me,” Ella shared.

While she was extremely nervous about the music upfront, it wound up becoming one of her favorite parts of the show.

She has a strong British accent in real life

While Ella does a great American accent in the series, she actually has a very strong British accent in real life. You can hear it in this video.

Speaking to Island Magazine, Ella shared that she was born in New York, and her parents are American, but she “spent the first five years” of her life “between New York and London.”

“I find it cool that I get to tell people I was born in New York, as I have a British accent, so nobody would know. Both my parents have American accents, though, so sometimes it kind of throws people off when they hear us speak together!” she said.

The 2026 Eurovision Song Contest winner has been revealed!

Bulgaria picked up their first-ever win in the contest on Saturday (May 16) held at Wiener Stadthalle in Vienna, Austria.

DARA‘s “Bangaranga” came out on top this year, with Israel coming in second place with Noem Bettan‘s “Michelle,” and Romania in third place with Alexandra C?pit?nescu‘s “Choke Me.”

Of the meaning of “Bangaranga,” DARA said during Saturday’s finals that it’s the “feeling that everybody gets in themselves the moment you choose to lead through love and not fear,” per THR.

This is the first time Bulgaria has won the Eurovision Song Contest, since they first entered in 2005. In the past, they’ve only ever made it past the semi-finals five times.

Bulgaria not only won the jury vote, but they also won the popular vote this year. DARA‘s song won with 516 points!

Also in the top five were Australia and Italy, with Finland, Denmark, Moldova, Ukraine and Greece rounding out the top ten results.

Tom Francis is throwing his hat in the ring to be the next James Bond!

The 26-year-old Olivier award-winning actor has reportedly auditioned for the role in the next film following Amazon MGM Studios taking over the franchise, according to Variety.

Tom is just the latest star who has been rumored for the role, which also includes Jacob Elordi, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Callum Turner and Cosmo Jarvis, though his rep shut down he was in the running.

James Bond is notoriously played by a British actor, though there have been three actors who are not from Scotland, Wales, or England who have taken on the mantle.

Most notably, Pierce Brosnan, who is Irish, played Bond, while George Lazenby, who is Australian, has also portrayed the agent. The first actor to ever play James Bond, Barry Nelson, was American – he played the secret agent in the TV adaptation of Casino Royale in the 1950s.

Recently, Bond casting director Nina Gold said the next actor to play the character has to “ooze sex appeal,” among other qualifications, per Deadline.

Earlier this week, it was confirmed that the search for James Bond was currently underway.

If you’re unfamiliar, Tom Francis is best known for starring in Jamie Lloyd‘s revival of Sunset Boulevard, first on the West End in London, then transferring to the Broadway revival. He won the Olivier award for Best Actor in a Musical for his portrayal of Joe Gillis, and he was nominated for the Tony for the role as well.

Tom has also previously been seen in the Netflix movie Jay Kelly, as well as appearing in You season five. He will be next star in the movie The Mosquito Bowl, alongside Nicholas Galitzine, Bill Skarsgard, Ray Nicholson and more.

Alison Victoria has a theory as to why she was not asked back for Battle of the Beach‘s recently announced fifth season.

In case you didn’t know, HGTV chose not to pick up the fan-favorite show last summer after four seasons. Alison, 44, was one of the original co-hosts alongside Ty Pennington and Taniya Nayak.

However, after it was axed, she discussed it on her Pap Smear Podcast and said the show was “canceled” rather than “not renewed.”

Last week, TV Insider announced that HGTV was reviving Battle of the Beach for a seven-episode fifth season on June 1, but only with Ty and newcomers Mika Kleinschmidt and Sarah Baeumler.

During a new interview with Daily Mail, Alison shared her thoughts on the revival and the fact she was not invited back for it. She believes using the word “canceled” over “not renewed” is the culprit.

The interior designer said there is “no editing” involving on her podcast and it was “just conversation,” without any notes.

“I should be more prepared, but I’m not and she and I were just talking about different shows and I had said that Battle on the Beach was canceled,” she recalled. “Now, that word should not have been used. I should’ve said ‘not renewed.’ That’s the language I should have used.”

Her former co-host and close friend Taniya was the one who told Victoria about the fifth season.

“She was like, ‘They picked up Battle on the Beach, and neither of us are gonna be on,’ and I looked at her and I just said, ‘I expected that,'” Victoria shared.

But despite not being asked back, she still wants the show to succeed and hopes “that the ratings are amazing.”

She’s also staying plenty busy with other projects, such as hosting Sin City Rehab and working on Ugliest House in America and Scariest House in America.

The Windy City Rehab host says she’s hopeful that maybe the only reason they didn’t ask her back is because they know how busy she is right now.

“I’m working very hard on my show, so even let’s say I did get asked to be back — which I did not, but let’s say I did — I wouldn’t have been able to do it because there was no way to juggle it,” she explained, concluding that part of her “hopes that maybe they didn’t ask me back because they knew I didn’t have time.”

Amazon Prime Video has dropped an addictive new romantic drama that has everyone talking, and given its primary setting at a university, many fans are curious about whether or not the school is real.

Off Campus is set in a fictional Massachusetts town, and unfortunately for anyone who might have considered a collegiate career at Briar University, it is also fictitious.

It helps that the show is based on a popular book series by Elle Kennedy, so there is plenty of material to keep it running for a while. There is also a spinoff series called Briar U, which also takes place on the same campus.

Kennedy created her own school for the story, and while Briar University is described as a private Ivy League research college, it is not believed to be based on any specific school.

Where was Off Campus filmed?

That being said, even though the in-universe school isn’t real, some of the actual filming did occur at a real-life university. Production on Off Campus primarily took place in Vancouver, Canada, and some shots used University of British Columbia (UBC) as a stand-in for Briar University locations.

According to at least one site, the fraternity house in the show was filmed (at least the exterior) at a craftsman-style house in Vancouver’s West Point Grey neighborhood that is currently being used by UBC’s engineering fraternity Sigma Phi Delta.

Here’s how Amazon describes season 1: “A college soap based on the bestselling book series, Off Campus follows an elite ice hockey team, and the women in their lives, as they grapple with love, heartbreak, and self-discovery—forging deep friendships and enduring bonds while navigating the complexities that come with transitioning into adulthood.”

The eight-episode first season premiered on Prime Video earlier this week and Amazon is so confident in its appeal that it has already been renewed for a second season!

The 32-year-old entertainer performed his first of 10 shows at Johan Cruijff Arena on Friday night (May 15) in Amsterdam.

This is the first of 67 shows in seven cities across the world.

With his residency in Amsterdam, Harry set a new Dutch ticket sales record, selling more than 450,000 tickets!

The singer is also set to perform residencies at Wembley Stadium in the UK, a whopping 30-show run at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, and other stops in São Paulo, Mexico City, Melbourne and Sydney.

Robyn is serving as support at the Amsterdam shows, where Harry performed songs from all four of his solo albums, including, of course, his most recent release, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.

The 60-year-old Queen of Country Pop posed with Academy of Country Music CEO Damon Whiteside with a statue of Leo the Lion in a cowboy hat at a press conference for the upcoming 61st Academy of Country Music Awards at MGM Grand Garden Arena on Friday (May 15) in Las Vegas.

If you didn’t know, Shania will be hosting this year’s ACM Awards! Kacey Musgraves will be making her ACM performance debut and plenty of other big acts are set to perform, too.

For her press conference photo shoot, Shania rocked a multi-colored sequined outfit comprising an oversized top with cape-like sleeves and a draped, poncho-style cut paired with high-waisted pants with a slight flare. She finished off the look with pointed-toe suede boots.

Earlier this week, the “Any Man of Mine” singer teased her tour with Harry. She’ll be the opening act during his 12-night residency at London’s Wembley Stadium.

Shania stopped by SiriusXM’s The Pulse and said she hopes she gets to perform “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” with the “Watermelon Sugar” singer again.

Host Brady also teasingly suggested she could sing “You’re Still the One” at his upcoming wedding to Zoë Kravitz and Shania said she’d “say yes if he asked.”

“Just putting it out there, Harry,” Shania added, joking that perhaps she could sing it alongside Zoë‘s famous father Lenny Kravitz.

“Him and I could sing it together. It’d be great,” she followed up.

In honor of the release of his second solo single “Little Things,” the 38-year-old Jonas Brothers member’s wife Danielle Jonas took to her Instagram Story on Friday (May 15) to share a video of her husband working out shirtless.

“‘Little Things’ out now,” Danielle, 39, wrote over the video, “and apparently so are the abs.”

In the video, which is set to the new song, a shirtless Kevin showed off his ripped physique as he does an upper body workout while wearing just black joggers and gray sneakers.

In a new interview with People, Kevin said that he wrote “Little Things” to honor the best parts of marriage with his wife of 16 years.

“It’s a great extension of my story with Danielle, it truly is,” Kevin said. “We have three big years ahead of us: we have a big birthday for her this year, a big birthday for me next year, and then our 20th wedding anniversary in 2029, which is an insane thing to think about.”

“I send her every song and she has a great pop ear,” he added. “I was like, ‘Babe, this one’s about you’ and I kept it a secret, but she was very happy.”
