Please Pray for My Grandma

My Grandma is my only living Grandparent. She has been in the hospital about 5 weeks now after falling and fracturing her back. It seems like when one thing gets better, something else goes wrong. They moved her to ICU today and pretty much told us they couldn't do anything for her except remove the fluid from her lungs with a needle and keep her comfortable. She was REALLY sick when I was at the hospital tonight. She needs prayers and lots of them.

It Snowed!

We've been kinda crossing our fingers all week in hope that all this snow would miss us. The weatherman kept going back and forth between 12-14 to 14-22 inches. Thankfully, if it doesn't snow anymore, we only got 8 inches. Yes I said ONLY 8 inches. This is Ky people. An inch in these hills makes life difficult. This is insanity. We will be stuck in the house for a month! I am just thankful that this go round we still have electricity and water. I am praying for a heatwave.

Both of the boys are sick. I ran outside to measure the snow and they followed me. They didn't like it one bit when I shooed them back into the house. Not that they were dressed to be out in the snow anyway. Bailey, my oldest, said "What good is snow if your sick and can't go play in it?" I felt so sorry for him. But after having to take Dalton to the doctor last week and then again Wednesday when I took Bai, I can't allow them out in that. It would be another trip back to the doc or someone would end up in the hospital. Sorry boys.

I did snap a couple pics of them while we were out. Nothing special since I ran them straight back into the house, but good enough to share.

We have 7.5-9 inches depending on where you measure.

Ty Colley is the youngest son of Monica and Martin Colley. He has an older brother, Sebastian. Ty is 4 years old and had a Wilms Tumor. He had his kidney removed and is now undergoing radiation and chemo. I ask that you PLEASE send up a prayer for this little guy.

There are several groups of people out there trying to get together some fundraisers for Ty and his family. If you are local, and would like to help out, check out my Knickerbockers Fundraising post.

Also there will be a Spaghetti Dinner at the Blair Branch Church in Jeremiah, Ky., on February 12th, starting at 10 am. All proceeds will go to Ty and his family. If you would like to donate your time, supplies, etc you can contact Reva Adams.

Haircut!

I had over 9 inches of my hair cut off yesterday! It was midway down my back. No real reason I had let it grow that long. I don't even like my hair that long. I just hadn't got around to getting it cut. It was honestly driving me NUTS. Every time I'd lay down in bed I'd have to adjust my hair or it would pull. If Dh hugged me, it would pull. It was just annoying. So yesterday while Dh had the day off, I stopped by Reflections to get a cut. My friend Shawnie from HS was there, and did it for me. She was shocked when I said cut it to here (above my shoulders). I had it cut, layered, and thinned. I feel so much better!

I stitched this beauty up for Dh last night while listening to a movie. So maybe I'm not the best stitcher in the world, but I tried and Dh liked it. I just sat it beside his wallet this morning, hoop and all, so he would see it. I haven't decided what Ill do with it. Maybe put it on a pillow or in a frame. Who knows. Any ideas?
