In yet another racial attack on Indian students in Australia, a 22-year-old Sikh youth was assaulted by a group of six teenagers, who tried to remove his turban and cut the hair.

Resham Singh, a student of hospitality course who came from Punjab six months ago, became the 20th victim within a month when he was attacked on Monday at Dandenong Station in Melbourne.

Why some man or woman is sikh not want marry disabilities??

i have one friend is wheelchair..... she want look marry for man is sikh with wear turban.... alot tiime fail. what wrong with man is scared or fed up with disabilties? only think of heart no matter who are disabilities or size only show happy love think about good heart make god will happy. not need think need beautiful, not want who is disability.

I feel sorry alot people is disabilities. i not understand who is man or woman's mind stupid should think about who is good heart no matter weather.

i am not understand what matter every body.

Worshippers hurt in Vienna shooting

At least 11 people have been wounded after armed men attacked crowds of worshippers in a Sikh temple in the Austrian capital of Vienna, police have said.

Six men firing a gun and wielding knives attacked the temple, or gurdwara, in Vienna-Rudolfsheim on Sunday as up to 300 people took part in a ceremony, Michael Takacs, a police spokesman, said.

Sikh police seek bulletproof turbans

Sikh police officers want special bulletproof turbans to be developed so they can serve in firearms units, according to the new British Police Sikh Association.

The Sikh religion requires its male followers to wear the turban, but existing police safety helmets do not fit on top of them.

Insp Gian Singh Chahal, vice-chairman of the British Police Sikh Association, said the Home Office needed to make provision for Sikhs and recognise that they had a role to play.

After a memorable performance by on Zee TV last year, Rashpal Kaur - a young girl from Chandigarh - has recently performed Gatka on Zee TV's Dance India Dance - reality show.

The judges were not only taken aback by her performance, but also by the adversity she had experienced. Rashpal discovered that she had a life threatening brain tumor when she was pregnant. The treatment she received took away her vision but she was able to deliver a healthy baby boy.
