What is Oqaab?

Oqaab is the first DTT (Digital Terrestial) service in Afghanistan which provides 65+ regional and international TV Channels. Oqaab Channel List includes many Afghanistan channels as well as Pakistan & Indian.

Oqaab 's coverage in limited area nearby kabul only. In this coverage area anyone can receive Oqaab TV services by connecting its set top box to television and antenna.

Initially ABS started Oqaab DTT services via analogue DVB-T technology and currently they are using updated DVB-T2 technology.

For better signals and picture quality now ABS planning their first Afghanistan DTH Service - Oqaab HD+. In February 2019, ABS’s Chief Operating Officer Andi Wilmers announced first Afghanistan DTH - Oqaab DTH Service Oqaab HD+ expected to be launched in August 2019.

Independent TV Error 400 Signal Lost | DTH Services Can be Shut Down

Currently we are facing Independent TV Error 400 signal lost problem. Independent TV DTH Services can be shut down for Antrix Corporation dues as warrned by the Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT). It seems Antrix discontinued Independent TV DTH transponders from MEASAT 3 Satellite & DTH Services can be shut down temporary or permanently.

About Independent TV DTH Service

Independent TV is an Indian DTH Service by Reliance Communications. Before which is launched as Reliance Big TV and later renamed as Reliance Digital TV, which was closed due to no payment reason. then The Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal (TDSAT) asked them to enter as fresh agreements as Independent TV. Independent TV DTH Services provided by MEASAT 3 Satellite 's transponders which is located on 91.5°E.

Independent TV Error 400 Signal Lost | DTH Services Can be Shut Down

Now once again this company is running out of budget and can't fulfill transponder 's cost, this can be the reason for shutting down Independent TV DTH Services.
Antrix Corporation Limited is a company completely owned by Government of India under the administrative control of Department of Space (DOS) & Provisioning of communication satellite transponders to various users or DTH opertors. Antrix have much dues for Independent TV.
TDSAT has asked Independent TV to pay Rs 9 crore to Antrix by 12 June or furnish a further bank guarantee of Rs 15 crore by 12 June. In case the Independent TV DTH operator fails to do that, Antrix reserves the right to discontinues transponders.
In the previous hearing on 29 May, TDSAT had instructed Independent TV to pay Rs 4 crore by 5 June and further Rs 12 crore by 12 June to continues services.
However for further hearing the matter has been posted to 2 July.

This is after 12 June, Independent TV can't clear Antrix 's dues & now Independent TV showing no signal on tv. It seems Antrix discontinued Independent TV 's transponders from MEASAT 3 Satellite & currently we are facing Independent TV error 400 signal lost problem. May be DTH Services closed. But it isn't clear Services closed permanently or temporary. Customer care saying this is a technical issue that will be solved by 22 June, before that they are saying everything will be ok by 19 June. We can't trust them because they every time the promise to us but can't stay on them. As you know they assured us for star, zee etc channel that will be continued but they can't do so. You can contact Independent TV customer care number which can be find on Independent TV 's Official Website. But contact handles going on bussy or unavailable at the moment.
As mentioned before, for further hearing the matter has been posted to 2 July. Then everything will be clear. Meanwhile stay tuned with us to get latest updates.
