Yoshi getting a special 3DS XL

If you like Yoshi then you might want to check out the new Yoshi 3DS XL.  It looks ok but I really like the pattern on the box more, the eggs on the back are a nice touch. I still think the Zelda special 3DS is my favorite.  This XL hits shelves on March 14th with the new Yoshi's New Island.

Free PS+ for 20 years?

I'm sure that this has been fixed or if it hasn't it will be shortly however if you do not currently have PS+ you may have noticed a banner in the Playstation store to try it out free for 14 days.  If you click on this to try it out you can go back in after finishing the process and keep adding 14 days at no cost for as long as you want.  One user had his account extended out to 2032 without paying a penny.  Sony will catch onto this glitch soon enough and it will be interesting to see if they let users have the free service or reduce it back to the original 14 days.

PS4 sales doubled Xbox One in January

According to NPD the PS4 almost doubled the sales of the Xbox One in January.  I believe right now the PS4 is better than the Xbox One.  Xbox is having issues with the party system and not having headsets shows lack of planning.  Also Playstation's PS+ is killing it.  This may not effect the PS4 (as most of the games are on the PS3) but look at the free games they have.  The PS4 also seems to be easier to use, as it's more straight forward and it's cheaper.

It will be interesting to see with the Xbox One patch next month how much that fixes some of their problems and if they can gain some ground.  This is a long race for these two systems but the PS4 is off to a good start.

Dead Rising 3's DLC Fallen Angel is now out

I've been hooked on Dead Rising 3 for a while now and Capcom wants to keep it that way.  They have released the second DLC Fallen Angel, in which you pay as Angel Quijano.  Angel refuses to get the Zombrex chip and this makes her one of the illegals, not only fighting zombies but also the government. The DLC comes with new weapons, vehicles and clothing options.  However my understanding is that none of the DLC is co-op which is why I'm a little slow to pull the trigger and pick it up.

Xbox One Controller bad? Titanfall developers think so

Have you been complaining about the analog sticks on the Xbox One? If so you aren't the only ones, Justin Hendry a developer on Titanfall says they are working with Microsoft to make it better. This fix will pushed out as part of a patch in March. Hendry says "It's just fixing the controller input, really. It wasn't really where we felt it should be; it was a little overly twitchy with the current controls. Now it's fixed. We're happy with it."

Along with fixing the controller the patch will address the party system. Microsoft is also finally releasing headset adapters to work with Turtle Beach and other headsets. It's about time.

Titanfall beta is now live

One of the most talked about games coming out on the Xbox One now has a beta that you can sign up for here.  Looks like this is a limited beta so if you want in you better sign up now.  If you haven't seen much of Titanfall check out the trailer below.

Jaguars 1st Round Pick- Johnny Manziel?

If you've listened to my podcast for any length of time you know I stay away from saying "this college kid will make it" or "this guy is a bust".   I just don't watch enough (or really any) college football to be a good judge.  However I am always curious who mock drafters have the Jaguars picking and while I seen all kinds of names one that is interesting is Johnny Manziel.

Most of the comments I've seen about this possibility have been negative.  It seems either a large part of Jaguars fans (or just the ones I am reading) think he will be a bust, but why?  The fact he sold his autographs doesn't bother me in the least however some of his on the field antics show a lack of maturity.  Even with that the one thing you have to give the guy is in the biggest games he plays some of his best ball.  I personally would have no issues with the Jaguars drafting him.  Stepping up in big games and not having the moment be too big for you isn't something you can teach.  He seems to love football and the spotlight and I think that's a good thing for a quarterback.
