Avre Esta Abajour/Psalm 150 Chazzan Micha’el is a cantor ordained in the manner of Jewish Renewal, under the guiding hands of Reb Zalman Schachter-Shalomi. He travels widely offering concerts, counsel and worship services, as well as classes and workshops in voice, Jewish music, mysticism and meditation. His specialty is the performance of the Ladino/Sephardi repertoire; and he’s been at work for several years joining old ladino melodies with psalms and other liturgy.
