I'd probably give this a 3.5 if I could do half ratings...

I really liked Eskarina. Her magical powers were fun to explore. Her trip to Anhk-Mopork was fun. And getting to know Granny Weatherwax better was fun, in a curmudgeonly way. (I picture her as Maggie Smith in my head). I did get a little lost at the end (I blame listening too late at night more than the book). I think I probably enjoyed this a little more because I'd already heard all the Tiffany Aching books; I appreciated some of the magical concepts already.

This was certainly a successful read after trying the first book and failing to follow!

The 4th Tiffany Aching book, listened to the audio version.

I really really like her. Some of the story in the middle was a little off-topic feeling, but I've been assured that if I had read the other Discworld books, it would have felt like a cameo. The way things progressed made for a super story, and even a few tears out of me to the end!

I had read this a few years back and really enjoyed it. After reading Memories of the Future, I wanted to come back and see this again. E read it outloud for us, and it was really really fun. I really have been a fan of Wil for a long time, but I respect him even more from reading this book - i made sad noises when sad things happened and then smiled for so much towards the end. Especially knowing how he his current roles came about, it made it even cooler. Oh, and plus? a book where blogs are mentioned throughout, this bloggy girl appreciates it!
