February 14th, that’s Valentine’s Day 2012. On February 11th, Taiwan famous music producer Ji-Pang Wang personally lead a professionals’ team of people in music, production and band from Taiwan to Malaysia together to create the first solo large live concert of the Bossa nove jazz pop singer Olivia Ong from Singapore in Southeast Asia.

The concert named “Are U Ready for Love?” meaning is that hoping everyone ready for Love, and to achieve their dream of love. This concert in Malaysia is Olivia’s very first concert in Southeast Asia after her concert in Taiwan which received good feedback, so the organizers and record companies are highly priorities and looking forward to this large scale concert that are well prepared form music to the stage design, lighting and sounds effects which are from Taiwan to make sure it is bound to be perfect. In season of love, we hope that the audiences can feel the sweet and warm Valentine’s Day atmosphere through Olivia’s voice.

In addition, the Pop Star 2011 singing champion and second runner-up winner – Jerome Scott Ding and Virus Ngu, will jointly serve as opening guest performers.

The first we stepped in to the hall and noticed most of the audiences were in pair with their beloved partners even before the doorstep. It was really sweet to see the couples celebrating their moment with Olivia Ong in Kuala Lumpur.

The show started of with Olivia’s latest album ‘Romance’ title song named “A Love Theme”. It begun with slow phase and followed by a slightly faster beat in this song. It was definitely a song for the couple to start and continue loving each other.

Olivia performed most of the songs from her ‘Romance’ album such as “Ready For Love”, “Sing”, “邊走邊看邊想”, and plenty more. In case you didn’t know, Olivia sang a song for a drama called “Little Nyonya” in Singapore and that’s the song included on the performing list “如燕”. Besides these, She even did covers for Bee Gees’ “I Started A Joke”, Righteous Brothers’ “Unchained Melody”， 邓丽君’s “天涯歌女”, 張雨生’s “妹妹晚安” to name a few.

She mentioned the songs and singers moved her, and gave her great inspiration in music industry. Therefore she decided to performed to the loving couples in the hall that day. Other than album songs and covers, Olivia strummed a song with an acoustic guitar on stage while performing “生活”.

During encore, original soundtrack of「真愛挑日子」“海枯石爛” together with “Let It Rain” were performed too. Olivia thankfully introduced the band and crews from front stage and back stage, also the organizer and sponsors. As in ending, we able to witness all the couples together stood up, applaud while Olivia and her band members greeted thank you and goodbye.

Last night (February 4, 2012), we have Philip Wang and Wesley Chan from Wong Fu Productions with us in Taylor’s University Lakeside Campus. A night filled with amazing and inspiring talk by Phil and Wes in more than two hours time. The show initiated with performers like band Once Upon A Time There Was A Sausage Named Bob, Battleground winner Elecoldxhot, beat-boxer Shawn Lee and also creative dance group FIX.

Soon after performances, Wes and Phil were finally invited to the center of the stage to start the real show. They took us back to their time when they were still in university. That was also when the trio met and start making their good contains too. In fact, Philip was the one who last joined the other two (Wesley and Ted) as mentioned.

Through the show, Wong Fu Productions even showcased special chosen works for the supporters to view on the big screen in the hall. Videos like short film “SHELL“, Leehom’s “Still In Love With You” music video, “Kung Fooled” in collaboration with few other Youtubers, and also their milestone of “One Million Subscribers” displayed.

Other than this, they are currently working on a new web series named after “Home is Where the Hans Are.” This series is about an American came back home after his failure in his music dream and when the time he reached home, realized his mum married an Asian guy with 2 other step-Asian siblings. The first episode (can be found below) was released few days ago in their Youtube channel but right here, the supporters of them able to witness its second episode as well as a rough peek on episode three.

They mentioned that in arts, you don’t hope for fame and wealth. In this (film) industry, to make a good contain out of it you need to put effort into it so you could showcase the best. All in all, don’t stop trying. Motivating, enough?

Last session of the talk show opened up to the crowd for questions opportunity. Surprisingly, one of them requested Wes and Phil to introduced or basically say something in Mandarin/Cantonese. Everyone pleased with Wesley’s Cantonese while Philip spoke in Mandarin instead. Even though it was short, it still sweet.

In the end, show ended with a group shot together with the crowd.

Wong Fu Productions arrived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia for their first ever show in Taylor’s College Lakeside Campus on Saturday.

On Friday morning, the press conference was held at Fullhouse Lifestyle Cafe, Sunway Giza. It was a very cozy and cool place to have this close distance moment with the guys who always (mostly) behind the camera in production – Wesley Chan and Philip Wang. Unfortunately, Ted Fu wasn’t able to join the group as he had something personal came up last minute.

Moving on to the interview with and group of medias. As for the emcee, we have Ryan from MIX FM this morning. But before that, here is a brief introduction about them.

Wong Fu Productions is a Chinese American filmmaking group composed of Wesley Chan, Ted Fu, and Philip Wang. The trio met at the University of California, San Diego in 2004 and produced a number of music videos and short films released on their website and later YouTube before establishing a professional media company, Sketchbook Media, after their graduation.

“What influences Wong Fu to come to Malaysia?”
Philip: Well, I think it started off being aware of definitely that we have a lot of supports and fans out here. We read our Twitter, comments on Facebook, and it’s great to se a lot of feedbacks.

“You have one of your film showcased at the Cannes Film Festival right?”
Wesley: We are actually at the film festival for two reasons. We were trying to promote a feature that we were developing at that time. We also went for our short film was in the program.

“Will Wong Fu bring ISA (International Secret Agents) to Malaysia?”
Philip: You guys just gone ISA for like spread out (referring to Clara C, David Choi and others in their solo showcase). It’s a lot of work to get everybody’s schedule to converge at the same time.
Wesley: We will try our best.

“If Wong Fu was offered to Hollywood (literally) to film…”
Philip: If someone came to us to say here’s a big budget Hollywood movie, I would say I’m not ready to it. It’s more like politics that involved and the workflow that we are not used to.

Bang and Zelo’s First Asia Tour kick started in Malaysia and Kaggregate is proud to present you our coverage of the press conference and event organised by M.E Malaysia in collaboration with Latina Marketing. (Do keep a lookout for our exclusive interview with Bang & Zelo!)

The press conference was held on Friday, 13 January 2012 at Fullhouse, Sunway Giza Mall. When we arrived a few fans were already waiting outside the venue to catch a glimpse of Bang & Zelo despite it being a weekday. Qn: We know that Zelo is the maknae, but he is very tall. So do the other members feel worried that one day he’s going to keep growing and tower over all of you?
Zelo: Now I am over 180cm but I’m still growing so I’m kinda worried about that actually. And the other members are quite jealous of my height.

Qn: So some of the media say that Bang Yong Guk & Zelo have the similarities to GD & T.O.P. What do you think about this?
MC: So maybe today we just need to focus on just B.A.P.

Qn: Can you briefly introduce everyone in B.A.P?
BYG: Himchan is an MC at MTV’s “The Show”, Youngjae is the smart one, Daehyun is really good at singing and Jongup has a really good body.

Qn: I know both of you have an age gap of 6 years, so how do both of you get along?
BYG: I haven’t overcome the age gap but we love the same music. So we’ll connect with each other through our music, our songs and other hiphop songs.

MC: It is pretty rare for a band to have their own tv show before the band is officially launched to the public. So what is the feeling knowing that B.A.P is one of the exceptions?
BYG: Tadah! is kinda a new concept of a reality program, but we are trying to show ourselves as a different character. So before we launch our B.A.P, we’re able to show our charms to our fans. So we are happy to be in the show.

Kaggregate: Tadah! It’s B.A.P is a show about B.A.P coming down to earth as aliens. So if each B.A.P member can have an alien name, what would you give to each member?
BYG: We don’t have an alien name yet but we have our own characters. Firstly, I am the one who is crazy about work and Zelo is the one who I made as a robot. Eventhough Himchan is the leader, but he does not have much charisma to control us and Youngjae is the smart one, Daehyun has a ninja concept and Jongup is the physically nice one but mentally a little…

Qn: I can see that both of you are blonde. Can you tell us why?
BYG: It’s Tadah!’s image as aliens so we will have blonde hair but we are also showing that we are B.A.P with blonde hairs. But it’s actually the director’s orders.

MC: Lastly, share some words with your fans in Malaysia.
BYG: First of all I would like to thank everyone for your encouragement and your support through the SNS and internet messages so we are still happy to receive those kind of reaction and fans’ love. And we are really happy to visit Malaysia and we are looking forward to visit Malaysia as B.A.P with all the members of B.A.P. Thank you so much, I love you fans.

The press conference ended well with a luxurious buffet lunch and both Bang & Zelo personally came to greet each media present at the lunch session, leaving the impression of really polite and humble idols.

Kuala Lumpur,25th January 2011 – On January 14th 2012, M.E Malaysia in joint collaboration with Latina Marketing brought TS Entertainment’s power rookies, Bang Yong Guk & ZELO to our shores and charmed their way into the hearts of Malaysian Kpop fans.

2000 passionate fans came to their first event public fan meeting at Sungei Wang Plaza showing much love and support towards the boys and their upcoming 6 (six) members male idol group, B.A.P (Best,Absolute,Perfect). Bang Yong Guk & ZELO performed two songs at the showcase, ‘Wassup’ by Untoucable and their digital single ‘Never Give Up’. After showing off their charismatic and powerful performance, there were exciting game segments where fans took the chance to interact with the boys followed by exclusive autograph session.

After 3 full days of activities consisting of a press conference, cover photoshoots, media interviews and TV appearances, Bang Yong Guk & ZELO left with happy memories of their Malaysian fans’ supports and the determination to come back to Malaysia with other members of B.A.P.

In conjunction with B.A.P’s official debut this January 28th 2012, Latina Marketing gave Korean entertainment fans opportunities to win a free trip to Korea throughout December and January and the winners have been chosen! Tan Mei Fenn and Wong Szu Thean are both heading to Seoul to watch B.A.P’s debut showcase at Jang-chung Gymnasium, Seoul! The concert lasted around 3 hours and they performed 30 songs. They also have solo stages for each member, such as Taeyeon and Tiffany performing “Lady Marmalade” and Jessica performing “Almost”. For a lot of the Hong Kong SONEs, this is the first time they got to meet the girls and they have prepared a heartwarming fan project. One of the most memorable one was during “Complete” where everyone held their paper up saying “You + Me = Complete” and also the 6000 balloons they released during “Fantastic”. Girls’ Generation seemed to like the fan projects a lot and reciprocated with lots of fan service.

One of the highlights of the concert was during Tiffany’s part in “Genie” where she normally says “DJ, put it back on!”, but instead she said “Hong Kong, put it back on!” which heated up the fans. Fanchanting, screaming, the pink ocean brought the concert to the peak.

The concert ended with the song “Fantastic”, the concert was simply fantastic, as Tiffany would say. “It’s not a dream, it’s fantastic”. The concerted ended with a high when Girls’ Generation visited each zone to say good bye to their fans. They flew back to Korea the next day.

The girls were excited to be in Hong Kong to see their fans. Yoona and Jessica revealed that they have been to Hong Kong before for vacation, but it is the first time for the other members so they would like to go sightseeing and shopping in Hong Kong. However, their schedules were very tight so they hardly had the chance to explore Hong Kong. Apart from sightseeing, they would like to try traditional Hong Kong dim sum as well, which the organizers have prepared for them.

They also talked about Yuri and Jessica’s future acting plans as they were recently cast in “Fashion King!” and “Wild Romance” respectively. Jessica started her first filming day just yesterday.

Before Girls’ Generation came to Hong Kong they have intesified their rehearsals and tried to learn some Cantonese as they would like to interact more with the Hong Kong SONEs. They would like to give a perfect and professional performance.

The organizers were kind enough to prepare a cake for them in honor of their first concert in Hong Kong. The organizers also gave them Chinese New Year decorations as it is coming up soon.

Hooray! FT Island is finally here for their first solo concert in Malaysia. The 5-members band has arrived in Kuala Lumpur few hours ago (approximately 5PM) and they were at Double Tree by Hilton KL for their fan meeting. Hundreds of lucky fans were selected to attend this event private as they are able to see FT Island members up close.

Before the event starts, emcee chose 5 enthusiastic Primadonnas to get up on stage to have a game session. It was really a simple one. Fans were required to sing few lines from the selected songs (Like The Birds, I Hope, and Hello Hello). Everyone performed very well but in the end one must be chosen as winner. Every fans were entitled to receive the same prizes, fair enough.

This might be a short moment of fan meeting but fans were able to get an autograph from each members on a poster. From now, I’ll let the images speak its story in this fan meeting.

During the autograph session, Seung Hyun was repeating Terima Kasih (meaning Thank You in Malay) to the fans one by one. Members even shook the fans’ hands to show their appreciation with their full support.

We were able to spot two little young Primadonnas with their mother came to support FT Island with fan-shirts on them. FT Island members must be grateful and find them cute enough to attend their fan meeting.
