New7Wonders of Nature: Sipadan fails to enter finals

KOTA KINABALU: Pulau Sipadan did not make it to the list of 28 finalists for the New7Wonders of Nature online campaign.

A panel of experts had sat for close to two weeks to decide which sites would go to the last round.

But, the island which is on Sabah's east coast remains on the reserve list at www.new7wonders.com and stands a chance, along with more than 40 other sites, to enter the final if any of the 28 nominees are disqualified.

Sipadan had made headlines recently when it won a spot in the campaign's top 77 list after an intense vote which saw 261 nominees competing.

Other islands which did not make the cut are Christmas Island, Cocos Island in Costa Rica and Nicaragua's Ometepe Island.

Voting stopped on July 7 to allow experts, led by former United Nations Educational, Scientic and Cultural Organisation (Unesco) director-general Prof Dr Federico Mayor, to decide which sites would be shortlisted for the final. Voting has started again for the world to select new natural wonders that will be revealed in 2011.

The Sabah Tourism Board went on a campaign to encourage Malaysians and foreign visitors to vote for Sipadan, after it was reported in mid-February that the island had made it as one of 261 nominees.

Sipadan, an oceanic island formed by corals which grew on top of an extinct undersea volcano rising 600m from the seabed, is famous for its coral gardens, barracudas, trevally, turtles and a myriad of other marine life.

In 2002, the International Court of Justice at the Hague ruled that Sipadan and nearby Ligitan belonged to Malaysia, in a 16-1 majority verdict over Indonesia.

It was a long journey and really challenging when you do another job, I mean second job. I had working with sabahan.fm few months ago and now sabahan.fm starting to show their ability in broadcasting. I never get paid doing all of this thing but I really enjoy what I had done and proud of it also proud of sabahan.fm achievement.

Sabahan.FM had bring Live few events such as Kaamatan 2009 Sugandoi Final Concert , KADUS music Festival and Cabutan Simpanan Sijil Premium Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN). Sabahan.Fm also had interview many local and national artists.

I have a big question playing in my mind, how to create an animated pictures such as gif. I had try few software to created gif / animated but all the software I used will end with the expire trial. One of my friend said, photoshop also can be sue to create an animated image or gif. Then I had search few tutorial on the internet.

Show / reset hidden Attributes for files and folder caused by virus.

Different virus will give different to our computer. I believe every windows user had experience affected by virus. Some of the virus will disable some of windows basic diagnose function to protect virus it self to be removed.

Some of the virus such as BDS.Mirc.Backdoor will hide your files setting the hidden and system attributes to the file. It will be stressful if your important files suddenly disappear and you 100% sure did not delete that files. Too view hidden files, open my computer > Tools> folder options, and you will get popup as below. To view hidden files, click on show hidden files and folders and unpick Hide protected operating system files. After doing this you can view hidden files and search for your important files.

To remove attrib hidden files, you have two options, one is using command prompt and another one is attribute changer.

Attrib command
Open command prompt (Start>run>cmd) . Type attrib -H -S C:\iter\*.* , this command will remove the hidden and system attribute of all files in iter folder at C drive.

Attribute changer
If a file has a hidden attribute, you can easily remove it by right clicking the file, go to Properties, and uncheck the Hidden checkbox.

How to display HTML code in blogger post.

Adding HTML code in blogger post is very easier, all you have to do is just make some modification in your HTML code. Only minor changers need to be done. Refer to the attachment below.

To do replacement, just copy your HTML code in notepad and select replace from edit menu. On the Find field, put the thing you want to replace and in replace field put the thing you want to change. Picture below will speak itself.

I’m sick

Yes.. I’m sick… every time I use torrent, my internet connection very slow. Arghhhh… !!! . I had do some research and find that port forwarding can solve this problem. After 3 days working on port forwarding, result still name, every time using utorrent, my internet connection become slow. Usually I will download movie using torrent, the best thing I can do right now is looking for big amount seeds and my maximum download speed around 20 MB.

If you guys have any suggestion, please leave a comment.. very appreciate it…
