Last week was an extremely busy and stressful week for me. Therefore, my blog wasn't updated. And I spent most of my weekend catching up on my longed miss out sleep.

How did your week went? What will you do, so that you won't be totally stressed out, and can re-charge quickly for another packed week ahead? Phew... I'm barely clinging on.

The photo above is Manchester Crown Court along Aytoun street. If you can't find a parking space and you wouldn't mind the prices, there are a lot here. National Car Parks (NCP) charges from £2.80 for an hour, and £6.30 for 3 hours for this car park.
Desperate Measures

Have you ever taken an exam before? After doing all that last minute work everything little thing counts isn't it? So what desperate measures did you resort to?

I've saw this pinned up at my University Hall's notice board. I don't believe what people can come up with these days when they are desperate over exams. I would think they should be really busy, but guess what! Read this...

They are making a business out of this. My goodness! I think the prices are not cheap for home cook food. I can get the same thing from a take away for about 5 pounds! Most take away will do deliveries for orders with 10 pounds or more. Some even give free drinks (Cola) to regulars.

Welcome to the grounds of Old Trafford stadium, the home of Manchester United Football Club; also known as the Theatre of Dreams.

I've been blogging about Manchester for quite awhile now. However, time after time I've been asked, "Why no Manchester United?" So I am finally going to do a post on Manchester United.

The above photo shows the north stand, which at one time can hold about 26,000 spectators. This is the most of the four stands in the stadium. With the stadium's capacity constantly increasing, at the moment it has reached in excess of 76,000.

Swine Dynasty

The recent invasion by the Swine army into many countries have successfully brought fears to many of us. So actually how prepared are we?

In a recent news conference report by the BBC, the Mexican health minister said the the epicentre of the world outbreak, has peaked. However many reports still claim that the number of people contacting the Swine flu has been steadily increasing. So what precautions have you been taking? Do you think these precautions do help? Do you think you are doing enough to play a part in containing this pandemic?

For those of you who are very worried about it, there are more comforting news. More help is on the way as Virologists in the UK has begun investigations to understand how the swine flu could mutate to become more deadly. This type of work is crucial as they contribute to develop effective vaccines, but it is a race against time, so are we ahead of the game?

Easter Trip: London

This is my second set of photos I am publishing on my easter trip. However, I would like to post on London first, then return to Bath on Friday for Sky Watch Friday. This is because I found that a lot of my photos taken in Bath have very nice skies. So those of you who are also Sky Watch Friday readers do tune in.

At first when I was preparing my materials for London, I was thinking... Hmm... I presumed London would be well blogged about, and I pondered for quite awhile whether should I blog about it, but then I stumbled across an interesting topic that had always disturbed me. So I've decided to give it a go.

I think without the need of much introductory, most of you would have guessed that the photo above and the photo below are the Marble Arch, and the Big Ben with the London Eye to its left respectively.

Then here comes the burning question which had been always disturbing me. I happened to see this in a souvenir next to the Tower of London; an armor suit. From the photo below, may I draw your attention to the groin area of the armor. Does anyone know the reason for that to be ahem... so hugely protruded? Please let us know. Here's a topic that you may want to blog about; is this specific to a English armor or is it a common component on most armor? Or is this just a copy used for display purposes? Because what is the use of designing that part protruding? I mean if you want to protect it, there are many ways of doing it. Could it be used as a tool to humiliate their enemies? Or could it be a symbol of bravery? Or may be it was just a fashion statement? What's your take on this?

Anyone from the fashion industry? I would love to hear your opinion on this.

iPhone: Worth Waiting?

Soon iPhone OS 3.0 will be launched and rumours that the third generation of iPhone may be introduced together. So is it worth the wait? I would like to make it clear that when I used the term third generation iPhone, I do not mean iPhone 3G, but the third generation of iPhone.

Coinciding with the Summer launch of iPhone OS 3.0 is Nokia N97. The Nokia N97 had been making waves in the recent mobile conferences and was listed 3rd in T3 Hot 100. On top of that it comes with a 5 Megapixel camera and a full QWERTY keyboard. With these specifications and the Ovi Store, Nokia will surely win over some existing iPhone users.

Blackberry has also caught up with the competition with Curve 8900, Bold 9000, and Storm offering a 3.2 Megapixel camera. With the introduction of Blackberry's App World and Owners Lounge, Blackberry has risen up to the game.

Come on Apple! Surprise everyone with a new generation of iPhone this Summer. Launching iPhone OS 3.0 alone is not enough.

I'm planning a trip to travel around the south of Britain.

The image above is my drafted plan. I'm really looking forward to it.

Flipping the Pages

This week is when I will start with a brand new chapter. I'll leave my past to be the past and work towards a brighter further. I think it will be a turning point for me to begin something new.

For those who had used the previous version of Alex World, you must have noticed that I've left out my previous postings. I am not intending to bring them forward as I want to start everything fresh and clean. As the title of this posting says, I'm flipping the pages of my life.

Unwrapping The Wrapper

After months of designing, the wrapper of Alex's World! has finally been opened.

The regular readers of Alex's World! should be wondering what is happening to it... Ah... Finally the suspense is over. A fresh coat of paint has been splashed over, and a complete overhaul of the underlining data structure aims to give more interesting features at Alex's World. I hope you will enjoy it as much as my previous version and I am looking forward to your comments.

For those of you who have been patiently waiting over the past few months; I am very grateful for your patience, and I hope you will enjoy Alex World even more than the previous ones. However, if this is your first time here, I hope you will like it and stay tune for more action.
