Hi! I received the email below from a former basic photography student:


Last September, I helped organize the distribution of relief goods to affected residents of pasig floodway.

For this October, I'd like to focus on helping out children who were affected by the typhoon. I'm trying to organize an outreach program to help build good memories for the kids who are still stuck at relief centers. We're aiming to have a small halloween event at ULTRA where we will be giving out candies and old toys to the kids.

This is the part where I'm hoping some of you can help. I'd like to set up a photo booth and leave the kids with a photo of this happy memory. I have a lightning mcqueen super standee which would make a great photo op for the kids at the relief centers. But I have no technical equipment to do this.

Is there anyone with a kind heart who is willing to lend a printer and the gadgets to hook up to it so we can print the pictures on-the-spot? I will try to find funding to help minimize your expense. We can fit 2 to 4 kids in one photo sheet so it won't consume much. We're only targetting about 250 children. We'll bring funny wigs or clown noses for them to pose with.

I feel that this is a worthwhile project. I intend to be present as one of the photographers for the photo booths. I would like to encourage my fellow photographers (regardless of your experience or skill level in photography - anyone who can push a camera's trigger button is welcome to join us) to help out Ma-an in making this outreach program a success.

[I know that I encourage my former basic photography to share so that they might receive in turn. *This is a great opportunity to put that principle into actual use :D]
