Not too long ago, i wrote on an article titled “Green Packet kiss of death“. It seems that GPACKET has made an absolute turn of going up instead of the opposite way. My friends are telling me this, “See i told you so, to invest in GPACKET when it was around RM 0.70-0.80 range but you don’t want to listen”

What else can i say when GPACKET is now trading at RM 1.41 (4.27pm, 6th November 2009). I can just congratulate him on his pick and tell him to keep up his good work in investing in shares.

From my previous posting, i have stated that my friends went Gung Ho on GPACKET. Maybe he had some insider news on this matter. GPACKET is also going Gung Ho in promoting P1 W1Max in Malaysia with their Dah Potong Belum? advertisements”. Basically P1 Wimax Wireless wants to fight with Streamyx!

P1 Wimax Dah Potong Belum? Advertisements :-

As you can see, i am sticking to my discipline ways in investing shares and i have already set a very clear stand on what stocks i pick and what stocks i dont!

That is why i didn’t touch GPACKET until today is because its not my cup of tea. The very main reason i didn’t pick GPACKET is because of the financial statement of GPACKET.

In their latest Q2 result, GPACKET posted a negative 7.00 sen for EPS. For six consecutive quarters GPACKET has posted negative EPS. That kind of results produced by a company really don’t turn me on.

Financial Result of GPACKET :-

Conclusion

I have managed to change the way i invest in shares from the day i started. I would have bought in GPACKET if i was still having the mentality while i was studying in University. Buy on rumors and just buy blindly. Not anymore…

Come what may, i am pretty sure my stock picks will fly as well. Only a matter of time! ^^

If you have the money and extra cash why not? DiGi is a top notch company in Malaysia and one of the 3 major telecommunications giants in Malaysia. No doubt about that. Let me share with you main reasons you should invest in the yellow army, DiGi

Reasons why you should invest in DiGi :-

High dividend yield stock

Already yielding a 5.6% dividend up till today. Beating EPF and Fixed Deposit (FD) with ease. No doubt DiGi is always the smarter choice compared to those two laggards.

Stable and solid company

The title says it all. DO you still need more proof and evidence on this?

Steady follow of new customers

Third quarter 2009 has already seen an inflow of 163000 new customers. Even when it seems that the telecommunication industry is saturated but DiGi still is bringing in more yellow armies.

Debt vs cash flow

Can you believe that DiGi has only a RM 200 million debt while their cash flow for Q3 only which ended September 2009 is RM 321 million?

Good defensive stock

When times are bad, you still can depend on DiGi in producing high dividend. So it’s a good defensive stock to have in your portfolio of investment.

Sexy DiGi babes with the Yellow DiGi guy

Don’t you agree with me those DiGi babes are adorable and hot? Just for laugh though. I presume this should be your number one reason you should support DiGi. Lolx..

Conclusion

I will not invest in DiGi now not because i don’t like DiGi. I wouldn’t want to invest 20k ++ for just 1000 shares as i am not cash rich at the moment. For those cash rich people out there, having DiGi in your portfolio is good. It provides consistent good dividend payout.

If i am cash rich, DiGi will surely be in my portfolio.

DiGi is responding well to Maxis IPO that will relist Maxis again into Bursa Malaysia. DiGi posted a very strong Q3 result with an EPS of 31.40 sen for year 2009.

DiGi is responding well to Maxis IPO that will relist Maxis again into Bursa Malaysia. DiGi posted a very strong Q3 result with an EPS of 31.40 sen for year 2009.

This brings to accumulated EPS for the first three quarters to 97 sen. Although slightly lower compared to last year which is 112.30 sen, but it is still a strong performance due to the recession that the globe is facing.

Not only that, DiGi has up the ante again by announcing that DiGi will increase their payout of 80% of their net earnings as dividends. This makes DiGi on par with Maxis which has a 75% of dividend payout of net profits.

It is a massive increase for DiGi as their policy was only 50% of dividend payout on their net profits.

This is not inclusive of special dividends and capital repayments. If both of these dividends are included then DiGi has typically surpassed paying out more then 100% of net earnings to their investors.

This makes DiGi as a high dividend yield stock. Up to date, DiGi has made a RM 1.24 payout per share giving it a yield of roughly 5.6% ROI (Return of Investment) at DiGi’s current price of RM 21.80

Isnt that better then our FD and even EPF? The only drawback for DiGi is that to purchase 1000 share, investors need to fork out more then RM 20k. That’s the only the downside of investing in DiGi.

So if you are looking for high dividend yield stock, DiGi is surely one of them and will not let you down even on times of turmoils. The orange army is marching strong and the red army (Maxis) and blur army (Celcom) better watch your back!

I have added SCOMIMR (7045) today at the price of RM0.56 with another 4200 shares. That makes me a proud owner of 10000 SCOMIMR shares. Will i stop my collection of SCOMIMR after today’s purchase? The answer is NO! I will be going after for more if this baby goes south.

My latest average price of SCOMIMR has been brought down after today’s purchase :-

Earlier average price of SCOMIMR :- 5800 shares at RM 0.606
Latest average price = (0.56 x 4200)+(0.606 x 5800)/10000
= RM 0.5867

Proof of my today’s transaction :-

A picture tell’s a thousand word. Just take a look at SCOMIMR financial report. What can you tell from it? It is surely a fundamentally very strong company with solid revenue.

The first 2 quarters for SCOMIMR has produced an EPS of 4.63 sen. EPS of 10 sen can be expected from SCOMIMR due to the rise of prices of commodities.

With a estimated future EPS of 10 sen, we can expect that SCOMIMR to have a Per Earning Ratio (PE) of less then 10 which is good and safe for investment.

That is why i can sleep soundly at night without need to worry much about my investment as the companies that i am investing are fundamentally solid.

So time will tell whether my investment on SCOMIMR will bear any fruits but i am pretty confident that this baby, SCOMIMR will not let me down.

Any followers or doubters around?

As we all know, Maxis will be listed again in Bursa Malaysia and the Maxis IPO will be Malaysia’s biggest share sale estimated at RM 11.7 billion. Not only the biggest in Malaysia but also in Southeast Asia over the passed decade.

As we all know Maxis is a telecommunication company in Malaysia and is owned by billionaire tycoon Ananda Krishnan. Hotlink is one of Maxis most successful products in Malaysia thus far. Enough about the introduction of Maxis as i am sure most of you are more verse then me on their business model.

Anyway there will be good news for those Maxis supporters and be sure you check it out if you are very interested with the Maxis IPO.

For Maxis customers there will be shares reserved for you and there are two kind of application form that you need to be aware of.

Green Application Form

Shares are reserved for Elite members of the Maxis One Club customers. If i am not mistaken Maxis will distribute special amount of shares for you to purchase based on your seniority in Maxis One Club.

So if you are offered for instance 1000 shares you can directly purchase that 1000 shares or lesser and be sure of getting it without needing to rush with others. This amount of shares offered to you will be limited though. No harm applying for more but you will only get the one offered to you.

Blue Application Form

This form will be eligible for active Elite members of the Maxis One Club and applications of Maxis IPO shares will be set aside for a restricted ballot.

With this form you are not confirmed of any Maxis IPO shares but your chances will be slightly higher compared to the public as your ballot will only among Maxis One Club members.

How to check what form you are eligible?

Very simple if you want to check your form status whether it’s green or blue. By just providing your Name and Maxis account number to this site, you can check your status. Click here to check your status.

Conclusion

For those of you out there you can try the Maxis IPO as you all know Maxis is the leading telecommunication provider in Malaysia. For me, i am not interested in this IPO as the price of the IPO is RM 5.20 which is quite high from my point of view.

Good luck to those out there trying to get a hand on Maxis IPO. Hope you will get selected to be part of Maxis.

After the extra 200 shares at $0.80 my total amount of shares of Genting SP has increased to 19000 shares.

I told you so. I made a post on Island Red Cafe more like a ponzi to me five months ago to warn investors of not putting money into such Multi Level Marketing (MLM) plans. It is getting more rampant in Malaysia now a days where unscrupulous people try to make easy money from naive Malaysians.

Many Island Red Cafe supporters claimed that they have stopped receiving food vouchers and cash payouts from beginning of the year. One by one the outlet closes and it’s official now as the police has classified Island Red Cafe as a scam.

The benefits were promised to Island Red Cafe investors :-

Fixed return RM300/slot each month (5% of the investment) for 1st and 2nd year. So, total that you will get is RM7200.

Fixed return RM150/slot each month (2.5% of the investment) for 3rd, 4th & 5th. So, total that you get is RM 5400

RM100/slot food voucher will be given every month & will be given for total 5 years which equivalent to RM6000.

VIP member discount 15%

Birthday discount 30%

Such business model of taking other people’s money to pay up the higher rank will never work. Same goes as the Maddoff scam where the exact same business model was used.

This kind of business will die off eventually when there is no more new members signing in to join the business. No new members means no money coming in. When there is no money coming in how to pay the previous members? Only way, close shop!

When the business owners closes shop, you can be rest assured he will do the disappearing act of now you see now you dont!

Who to blame?

Malaysia government

I am pretty sure there are many high rank people involved in approving such business. Just couldn’t understand how can such business model being approved by the Malaysian government. Our government should put a full stop in such schemes which cheats poor innocent Malaysians hard earned money.

Strict rules and regulations should be put upon so that business owners are serious in doing business and not ripped off the consumers.

Consumers itself

Why such business is growing like mushroom? Because consumers allow those business owners to rape them inside out. Consumers are just inviting those unscrupulous business owners to come and cheat their money.

When business owners finds out how naive and easy to con Malaysians, of course they will start a business just to cheat your money. It’s like the supply and demand thing. When the demand to make quick money is high, the supply for such business will be high also.

Blame no others but yourself if you get cheated in such scams.

Conclusion

Nasi sudah jadi bubur is a famous malay proverb. You can’t do much and please don’t dream of getting your money back. It is impossible for such things to happen as we are staying in bolehland! If you are in Singapore, there is still some hope of getting something back but not here! Dream on…

Take this is a lesson and do not indulge yourself in such easy money and quick rich scheme anymore. If you dont believe me, go ahead and get rape by those business owners again and again and again…

A couple of months back, I invested on Scomi Marine Berhad (SCOMIMR). To be exact i bought 3000 shares of SCOMIMR at RM 0.625 on June 9th 2009.

On October 22nd, 2009 i tried to average down my SCOMIMR and ordered 4500 shares at RM 0.585 in the morning trade but sadly i only managed to get 2800 shares after the morning trading session.

Argh… Didn’t get what i wanted for SCOMIMR. Nonetheless i have increased my stake of investment in SCOMIMR.

Current stake and price :-

3000 shares + 2800 shares = 5800 shares
Average Price = (3000×0.625 + 2800×0.585)/5800
= RM 0.606

Proof of my purchase of SCOMIMR is at the below attachment :-

The prospect of oil and gas industry is still bullish and i am confident the oil price will soar again to a higher leve. SCOMIMR is basically an oil and gas company with a good company track record.

Conclusion

I am looking forward to purchasing more of SCOMIMR and this time around i will not let this baby go away again.

It has been a while since i added stocks to my portfolio and guess what? Today i made a minor mistake buying Genting SP at a wrong price.

Nothing serious though. I wanted to buy Genting SP at $1.10 today but i keyed in the wrong number of shares when the price was at $1.12

When i made my second order, i forget to change the price of my order to $1.10 and i managed to add up another 2000 shares of Genting SP at $1.12 and Genting SP closed at $1.10 for the day.

From my previous Genting SP post, you guys can see that i have 14000 shares before getting the Genting SP rights issue. After the rights issue, i will have 16800 shares. With today’s slight mistake while purchasing i have a total of 18800 Genting SP shares!

Now let me see what’s my average price of my Genting SP :-

14000 shares average :- $ 0.794
2800 shares average :- $ 0.80
2000 shares bought on 22nd October 2009 :- $ 1.12

My latest average :-

(14000 x 0.794) + (2800 x 0.8) + (2000 x 1.12) / 18800 = $ 0.8296

My latest proof that i bought Genting SP today can be viewed from the attachment below :-

Ok minor glitch today but i don’t really care as the difference of $1.12 and $1.10 is not that much and i am not planning to sell my Genting SP anytime soon.

Can’t wait for Genting SP to get their license for the casino from the Singapore government as this will surely send Genting SP to another high.

Currently i am still around 6200 shares short of my initial target of having 25000 shares of Genting SP and i will surely add more to my holdings when the right time comes. Good luck to all investors.

I have been doing online banking roughly around 5 to 6 years ago. At that point of time, i recommended my aunties and uncles to use online banking as it’s easier and faster way to handle some simple banking issues but they didn’t seem to take it seriously.

They are worried that their money will go missing or the system will eat up their money while doing online banking. I didn’t face any of those problems though.

My first online banking account is with Maybank with their popular domain, Maybank2u. I have been using them ever since. Basically i have online banking for all my bank accounts. Scary huh? ^^ I have CIMB, OCBC, and Public Bank online banking as well.

Firstly let me explain a little on what is online banking :-

A very secure facility that allows a person to conduct banking transactions through the internet and take charge of your finances no matter where you are.

So here is my favorite 7 reasons why you should go online with banking :-

Safe and easy

All the online banking have high security web portal that is secure and safe. Be rest assured that your information is not hijacked. A username and password is needed whenever you login and navigation is a breeze.

Fast

It only takes a click of a button and a few minutes to get your updated account information with complete banking transactions. Rather then going to the bank and queue and wasting time, the time that you save can be used to do other more important things.

Convinient

Do it at home or at your office whenever you want rain or shine or thunder storm.

Almost 24 hour service 365 days a year

Get access to your account almost 24 hours a day with a short interruption for batching purposes during the wee hours. With that, you can forget about waiting for your monthly statements.

Worldwide access

You just need an internet and you can access to your accounts anytime from anywhere in the world

No software is needed

What you need is just a PC with a valid and secure internet line. Isn’t that simple?

Not only check statements

You can also pay your bills, tranfer money and even buy stocks with online banking all at your own comfort.

I really do recommend online banking as it’s as easy as ABC and you can do it anytime and anywhere. Forget about all the long queue that you have to go through when you go to the bank. At times, it will spoil your day if you wait too long in the bank. What’s the point stress yourself when you can do it fast and easy at home?
