How to compress and extract .gz files

to compress files became .gz file use gzip file_name.sql

It’s as simple as this:

$ gunzip big-database-dump.sql.gz
$ ls big-database-dump.sql

(The ls command simply lists the extracted file, by the way)

If you’re using Ubuntu, there’s a very easy way to extract the file using the GUI – simply browse to the .gz file you want, right click on it and choose the Extract here command.

However, the time to use the tar command is when you’re opening up a file like drupal-6.15.tar.gz

tar -zxvf Drupal-6.15.tar.gz

Hope this helps out other Ubuntu/Linux newbies who’ve struggled with file decompression!

1. In Registry Editor, browse to the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SharedAccess
2. Right click SharedAccess, and click Permissions.
3. Click Add.
4. In the “Enter the object names to select” field, type “NT SERVICE\mpssvc”. Then click Check Names. The name should change to MpsSvc
5. Click OK.
6. Select Full Control in the Allow column.
7. Click OK.

Let's monitor your Linux machine with netstat

Netstat is an extremely useful Linux command line tool that allows you to check which service is connecting to a port on your machine. It is very useful to analyze what’s going on on your machine when you are facing or trying to to prevent an attack on it. You can find information such as how many connection are being made on a port, which IP addresses these connections originate from, and much more. Netstat ships with most distributions of Linux so it should already be installed on yours.

Launch a shell terminal on your machine and run the following command:

# netstat -ant

Active Internet connections (servers and established)

Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign Address State

tcp 0 0 ::ffff:192.168.1.19:80 ::ffff:192.168.1.240:63049 TIME_WAIT

tcp 0 0 ::ffff:192.168.0.19:80 ::ffff:192.168.1.240:62793 TIME_WAIT

The output will most likely be very long. I’ve just given a snapshot of the output above. As you can see in the data above there is a connection made from 192.168.1.240 to my server’s port 80 using the TCP protocol and the connection in the a state of TIME_WAIT. The out put that you get for your server will have information about all the ports on your machine, not just port 80.

The first thing you realize is that an output this big is not of too much use. So let’s organize it a bit. Here are a few tricks I use to analyze the nature of the connections being made to of from my server. the first thing I do is figure out which services I want to analyze. Usually it is port 80 as that’s the default port for the web server to run on, and port 3306 which is the default port for MySQL to run on. So i use the following query to see what’s going on on port 80:

# netstat -ant | grep 80

Again I get big list of connections, smaller than the first, but still too big to grasp. So I use the “wc -l” command to count the number of lines in the output to see approximately how many connections I have on my port 80:

# netstat -ant | grep 80 | wc -l

625

And then I do the same for MySQL:

# netstat -ant | grep 3306 | wc -l

Now, if I want to get a complete picture of what’s going on on my server in terms of the nature of connections here’s what I do:

# netstat -ant | awk ‘{print $6}’ | sort | uniq -c | sort -n

1 established)

1 Foreign

4 FIN_WAIT2

8 LISTEN

16 CLOSE_WAIT

134 ESTABLISHED

409 TIME_WAIT

This tells me how many connections of different types of state I have on my machine. I can run a similar command to see a complete picture of the state of all the connections made to my web server:

netstat -ant | grep 80 | awk ‘{print $6}’ | sort | uniq -c | sort -n

1 FIN_WAIT1

4 LISTEN

6 FIN_WAIT2

17 CLOSE_WAIT

94 ESTABLISHED

You can perform a lot more complex things using Netstat along with other Linux command line tools. It can be helpful to be familiar with some tricks to get this kind of information using Netstat, particularly when you are facing an attack on your server.

Shalat Dhuha adalah shalat sunnat yang dilakukan seorang muslim ketika waktu dhuha. Waktu dhuha adalah waktu ketika matahari mulai naik kurang lebih 7 hasta sejak terbitnya (kira-kira pukul tujuh pagi) hingga waktu dzuhur. Jumlah raka’at shalat dhuha bisa dengan 2,4,8 atau 12 raka’at. Dan dilakukan dalam satuan 2 raka’at sekali salam.

According wikipedia “Electronic waste” may be defined as all secondary computers, entertainment device electronic, mobile phones, and other items such as television sets and refrigerators, whether sold, donated, or discarded by their original owners.

When I read article on JAKARTA POST Newspaper (one of my favorite newspaper)edition June 9, 2009, about E-waste (author Anissa S. Febrina). I think that’s should be our corcern about what e-waste can do to the environment.

E- waste or Electronic waste has been becoming more of a concern since the late 1990s.

Imagine how much electronic appliances you haved used in your lifetime, and imagine how much they are produced in a year, and what they are become now.

I think it’s hard to imagine electronic waste produces in a year, but globally, the world produces up to 50 million ton electronic waste a year……fantastic huh..!!!

And now take a look in my country (Indonesia), data from the industry ministry reveal that Indonesia is one of the highest consumers of electronic goods among similar developing southeast asian countries. And the rate of consumption of such goods is increasing every year.

Jim puckett (executive director of the Basel Action Network) said “ indonesia is just one of many countries now being flooded by a tsunami of toxic electronic waste from the united states” and he congratulated the indonesian environment affairs ministry authorities diligent action for turning down nine container e-waste (electronic waste) from the United States last November 2009, cause old computer monitors in the nine containers are considered hazardous e-waste for containing lead.

And he said e-waste was a problem which could poison the people. Some children working in electronic companies have lead in their blood which later could damage their brain. A similar problem could be found in china, india and nigeria.

But the question is…?? what can we do about e-waste?

use 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle)

- Reduce your generation of e-waste through smart procurement and good maintenance

- Reuse still functioning electronic equipment by donating or selling it to someone who can still use it.

- Recyle those component that cannot be repaired

Love new stuff? Think twice.

Try to repair your faulty electronic equipment before binning it.

There are plenty of repair shops out there providing a wide range of quality services.

Choose recyclable batteries, rather than single-use batteries.

Rechargeable batteries offer greater economic and environmental benefits than disposable batteries do, because they can be discharged and recharged many times before they give out.

Make sure that your e-waste is properly handled.

Here in Indonesia, we don’t have an e-waste system in place, but there are still plenty of options.

Sell or give your e-waste to a repair shop, so that the stuff can be used as spare parts.

Collect used batteries and take them to the nearest hazardous waste collection center.

Perangkat lunak

Etika
Kiriman ganda
Pelanggaran forum yang paling banyak adalah pengiriman ganda dalam forum yang sama. Hal ini juga dapat menunjuk kepada orang yang mengirim pada forum yang berbeda tetapi hanya memiliki sedikit perbedaan isi, khususnya di forum yang memperbolehkan pengguna menyunting kiriman sebelumnya. Dalam kasus ini, jumlah post untuk pengguna tersebut dapat bertambah. Kiriman ganda dapat terjadi secara tidak disengaja, ketika pengirim menerima pesan kesalahan bahwa terdapat perintah pengiriman HTTP POST walau pengiriman pesan sedang dilakukan, ketika pengguna tidak bersabar dan menekan tombol pengiriman berulang kali. Dalam beberapa kasus, pengiriman ganda kadang merupakan bentuk penyebaran spam.

Spam
Pengiriman spam adalah bentuk pelanggaran etika forum dimana pengguna mengirim kata atau frase yang sama berulang-ulang, tetapi berbeda dari kiriman ganda karena pengiriman spam lebih ditujukan karena kesengajaan dan kadang-kadang dengan niat yang buruk.
Sanksi
Sanksi akan diberikan kepada anggota yang melanggar aturan forum. Sanksi dapat diberikan berupa peringatan keras, diblokir sementara dan yang paling berat adalah diblokir permanen. Sanksi yang diberikan akan disesuaikan dengan tingkat pelanggarannya. Wayang golek is one of the culture or tradition in Indonesia particularly in west java, made from albasiyah wood, carved and painted extremely detail and wearing clothes. All hand made.
The Wayang Golek are three dimensional wooden puppets and come from Java and the area of Bandung
Played by one person, called dalang (Ki Dalang). The dalang present a play (lakon), manipulate voice of many characters of the puppet, moves its head, hands and its body, so it looks alive. The show itself called “Pagelaran Wayang Golek”. Accompanied by gamelan players, traditional music instrument, a sinden (female singer) and an ‘alok’ (male singer). Usually it takes 6-7 hours all night. The Wayang Golek plays usually start at dusk and run to the early morning hours
The story is taken from Mahabrata (Descendant of Bharata) and Ramayana (Adventure of Rama) story, but been decreased and been added, been suited with local culture, sundanese culture. The pagelaran wayang golek usually performed in a ceremoy of circumcision, wedding, inauguration, private or company. It’s full of education & entertainment.
The west-javanese puppet-theatre wayang golek is a most popular genre of indonesia puppetplay. One of the dalangs is Asep Sunandar Sunarya. He is the most famous dalang of wayang golek, though he belongs to the younger generation of artists. He was born in 1955 in Bandung, West –Java. He is especially praised because of the lively handling of the puppets, of which is said, that they could come alive in both dances and battle scenes.
