Kanye West was not in attendance for the 55th Annual Grammy Awards but that didn’t matter, Ye’ ended up having a big night anyway snagging three awards landing him at the number 5 spot in most awards ever won by a male in Grammy history at 21.

Kanye was nominated six times and landed three big ones with Best Rap Song with “Ni**as in Paris”, Best Rap Performance for “Ni**as in Paris”, and his last one of the night being Best Rap/hip-hop Collab with “No Church In The Wild” which featured Jay-Z, The Dream and Frank Ocean on Watch The Throne.

For those of you wondering why Kanye West wasn’t at the Grammys, Yeezy spoke against the Grammys back in December in Atlantic City saying

“How many Grammys do we have? … Eighteen Grammys. All in the black categories, though. But nonetheless, 18. I love Maroon 5, but when I lost Best New Artist to Maroon 5 … you know what I mean? Or when ‘Watch the Throne’ and ‘Dark Fantasy,’ neither of them got nominated for Album of the Year, you know what I mean? Or when ‘N—-s in Paris’ didn’t get nominated for Record of the Year, you know what I mean? So don’t expect to see me at the Grammys this year, you know what I mean?!”

As we let you guys know yesterday Kanye West and pregnant girlfriend Kim Kardashian have been vacationing in Rio de Janeiro for the last few days.

Well today, Kanye West apparently met up with friend and hip-hop legend Will Smith and the two went to meet with local music producer DJ Batutinha who has worked with many international artists who had this to say about the two visiting his studio…

“They wanted to hear some things and then come to know my work. Dei also take some songs for them. Maybe they use elements of funk in their next jobs,”

Kim Kardashian was also in attendance in the studio, the producer said after they all came to visit the Kim “stood by Kanye all the time and was very friendly.”

Kanye West & Kim Kardashian were fighting crowds last night while grabbing dinner at Gero restaurant in Rio de Janeiro. Kim is now three months pregnant and is beginning to show her baby bump so the paparazzi are flocking to the couple (more than usual) as of late.

The rumors of “Cruel Winter” have picked back up this morning.

In the interview below Travi$ Scott (who is being dubbed Kanye’s understudy) not only says the “Cruel Winter” album is really happening but he reveals “I Got Bands” will be the first single off the LP. (You can hear him state this at 4:20)

Among the members of G.O.O.D. Music there has been some confusion, some members doubting it will surface and others like Sean, Q-Tip and most recently Travi$ assuring the fans that Cruel Winter is definitely happening.

Travi$ went on to say his single, “I Got Bands” will be the lead single on Cruel Winter, as well as the lead single on his own upcoming EP Owl Pharoah. Travi$ went on to say “‘I Got Bands’ is the shit. I love that fucking song,” Travi$ continued, “You know, first single off Cruel Winter, off my tape, Owl Pharoah. Hopefully we get that feature on there and it’s just like boom, we outta here. Kanye seen the vision for that shit, we just applied it, made it happen.”

We wanted to give our readers a brief overview of how this “Rich Black American” rumor began and what exactly went down that has every news media outlet and their mother reporting that Kanye’s next album will indeed be titled Rich Black American.

It all started when…

A very popular Kanye West forum named KTT (KanyeToThe) had a member sign up under the alias ‘XXXXXX’ the member then opened a thread which was titled “Rich Black American 09|24|2013” which followed with the following photo…

Wow. Rich Black American? Sounds bad ass, sounds familiar too (Black American Psycho-ish which we’ve talked about several times) and it even looks believable if you ask me. But that’s not it, next the user began posting cryptic messaged to the forum including “92413KWPT2CBSJZBKRFWSLCTPTTCLLRRFOLDRTYMBIMM”, “26 1 172″, “faith” and also stating “I do not live in this dimension, I just work for DONDA”.

Hmm. A few members pressed this possible troll. One members named “PUFFYCOMBS” asked, “why haven’t you dropped any videos/songs/nothing from o.p. yet” which followed by a very quick response from XXXXXX responded with “I will try to drop one song by Friday” which followed by this enigmatic user logging out.

The users began speculating that this user was indeed someone from DONDA because the IP this user was using was from france and did not match any users account IP from the forum and also because the admins of KTT do a great job at thwarting proxys.

Around this point Complex Magazine posted about this rumor.

Some time later, after several media outlets had posted about this rumor which includes Complex, Billboard,MTV, VH1, Yahoo, AllHipHop and many more an admin of KTT posted the following screenshot from user “XXXXXX”

XXXXXX apparently broke character and posted in a thread called “Pros and Cons of Meth” and then quickly deleted his post which followed to the user being exposed and inevitably the random troll admitted to this on Twitter and has several huge media outlets looking foolish. Successful troll was successful.

Fans who attended Kanye’s performance in Abu Dhabi had an especially amazing experience when ‘Ye who ended up wearing a yeti mask, a few eccentric stage outfits, a straight jacket, came out to on of the most epic intro’s I’ve ever seen. Lil Wayne has revealed the cover art for his upcoming album I Am Not A Human Being II which was actually made by Kanye West’s DONDA.

For those of you that don’t know DONDA, is a creative content company created by Kanye West that was established last year. DONDA also created the GIF artwork for Lil Wayne’s No. 19 single “Love Me” (seen below) which is killing the charts as of late.

Album out March 26th.

Huge, huge lineup as you can tell. The festival is June 7th-9th at Randall’s Island in New York City with tickets going on sale January 25th for $190. Once the allotment is sold-out, the price will then rise to $205 before increasing to a final price of $220. Single day tickets may or may not be available for this show so make sure you keep a look out and cop as soon as you can.
