Creativity is that push inside you that screams to get out on paper, in lyric, or in print. In college I majored in studio art and absolutely loved going to school to be creative. My favorite classes were mini-semesters because I could live in the art studio for 8-10 hours a day and focus on one project. It was incredibly hard to leave at the end of the day because I was so lost in my work. I would paint or develop in a dark room for hours until I was sleep deprived and starving, it was an endless cycle that made me alive and excited. It was passion.

Today, Mark and I feel the same with our business. We strive to make our creativity streamed into our love for people, business and art.

I read this on one of my favorite blogs and thought it described perfectly how we feel about the business were striving to be:

You might remember these two from this session in Princeton, New Jersey last spring. Jake and Adrian have the sweetest love for each other and it was so beautiful to be a part of their wedding day. As high school sweet hearts they had so many wonderful people attend to support them in this new chapter of their life. Whether our bride and groom's choose to see each other prior to the ceremony or not my heart always melts when that moment is unveiled. Jake lit up at the sight of his bride coming down the aisle. I hope they treasure that moment forever.

Kirsten and Martin had a fabulous event at The Old Red Museum in Dallas! Kirsten added a flair of vintage touches and it was the perfect way to start off the new year. Martin and her choose to have a first look so that we could spend some great time with them getting some beautiful portraits. The Rolls Royce was a great finale paired with the vintage theme!

Brides, if your looking for a exit favor, I absolutely loved the paper confetti and thought it was beautiful for an ending to a wonderful night!

Their project is a map of the U.S. including great thrift stores and the store's information. It is so simple to send in your favorite store. Unfortunately they only have one for our DFW area so let's see if we can share a few more of the great stores that make up our wardrobes here in Fort Worth and Dallas!

Out of Office

We will be out of the office from January 7th-14th for our belated honeymoon. We will return all emails and phone calls when we return as I will be computer-less for an entire week, yes this might cause medical complications for some but it must be done! While Dallas, Texas will be experiencing record low temperatures we will be soaking up the sun beachside. Stay warm folks:)

Madison is such a joy to be around and I was honored to shoot her bridal session. Her future husband is serving our country in Afghanistan and I can not imagine the anticipation she has as he will be arriving back safely in her arms during the week of Christmas. What an amazing Christmas present!

Ryne and Meghan met the first day of Meghan's freshman year at TCU and they have never been apart! I can't imagine the amount of fun they had in college because Ryne kept us laughing the entire shoot. Since TCU is so special to them both we shot their engagement pictures on and around campus. We experienced torrential down pours but it didn't stop us from having a great time! Wishing you a marriage filled with love and laughter!

Thankful

We just got back from a trip to Colorado where we spent Thanksgiving with my family. We ate good food, watched Christmas movies, laughed a lot, breathed in cold mountain air, snuggled and soaked up our time off with each other. I am very thankful for this man in my life that I get to call my husband and my best friend.

Back in my college days I worked as a server at a cute little chocolate shop that was also a full service cafe. There we were a small little shop nestled in a busy shopping centre, definitely one of Dallas's hidden treasures. Walls filled with bright colored candies from all over the world...it was/is a chocoholic's dream with trays lined with rich almond bark and decadent hazelnut candies and belgian truffles..... is your mouth watering yet? It is a wonder I didn't spend all of my tips on chocolates and candies but that's where I met Veronica. After the lunch rush we would sit and talk about our lives and she told me about the man she would one day marry.....fast forward three years and I get the phone call that they are getting married! Some love stories are happily ever after!
