Although it may seem like a contrarian strategy given the current economic downturn, even in recessions there are people with enough money to spend on luxury items. If you can manage to target the right niche, affiliate programs from companies such as MyJewelryBox.com offer the possibility of larger commission amounts for each transaction.

This particular program is offered through the Commission Junction network and provides an additional benefit that I have seen few other companies offer — they actually provide affiliate tracking on telephone orders so that it is still possible to earn commissions even if a customer does not finalize a purchase through the website. Standard commission is 10% on all orders, with the possibility of this increasing to 11% or 12% for total sales volumes of $1,500 and $3,000 respectively. Additional tips and details can be found in the latest news posting, which I have reprinted below.

The easiest way for the average person to make money online is with an e-commerce site that sells unique and hard to find products. If you have thousands of dollars to stock a wide variety of products, and a practically unlimited budget for advertising, then a niche e-commerce website is not for you. However, if you are looking to start an e-commerce site with low startup costs that can compete with large established online retailers, a niche e-commerce site is your best chance for success.

Your first step is to find a niche that you are familiar with and can capitalize on. Think about your hobbies, your passions, or the kinds of items you like to collect. For example, if you enjoy a particular type of craft, are the supplies you require easy to find at a local store? If not, consider selling them on a niche e-commerce website. It will be easy for you to decide which supplies to sell and how much people are willing to pay for them. If this is not feasible, try selling the finished product. Your goal should be to sell a unique product that is not available in local stores. If your passion is animal rights, consider selling health and beauty products that are not tested on animals. Having pride in what you sell should be reflected by your website and its products.

Colossal Cave

Colossal Cave features an amazing array of limestone formations that draws tourists to it in droves. From stalactites to helictites to stalagmites, Colossal Cave has it all. The limestone formations no longer form in this cave since it has been dry for many years. Nonetheless, it is the largest cave of its kind in the entire world. The cave mesmerizes its visitors as they gaze at these incredible crystal formations from the past.

In addition to the usual model of being able to submit articles to the site and earning a portion of the revenues collected, Bukisa has introduced a range of new features, including private messaging, new banners for promoting, better tracking for friends and referrals, more detailed statistics, Twitter integration, and a tab for viewing comments from other users.

Bukisa is also beginning to tighten up its submission policies somewhat. According to the latest notice, they are now rejecting articles that are obviously of poor quality or are simply self-promotional. Nevertheless, as long as your writing is up to par, Bukisa can be a good way to earn a small but steady passive income from your articles. You can join the site for free by clicking on the banner in the upper left of this page. Meanwhile, here is the text of Bukisa’s recent newsletter that explains the details of the latest upgrade.

While discussing comic books like X-Men and Frank Miller’s Ronin, Eastman sketched a drawing of some humanoid turtles dressed in ninja costumes. What began as just a humorous parody of some great comics became a self-published, single issue comic that debuted at a convention in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. From then on the world was struck by Turtle-mania. The initial idea spawned all kinds of artists and writers to collaborate on volume upon volume of TMNT short stories featuring the exploits of Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael (named, of course, after the four great Renaissance artists). Eventually there would be countless lines of Ninja Turtle merchandise, from lunchboxes to linens, skateboards to shaving kits. There would be movies, video games, and television series to follow. Now nearing their 25th anniversary, the Turtles are pop culture icons. It’s incredible to see how far they’ve come from Eastman and Laird’s original sketch. But do we still love these pizza-eating terrapins? Has the franchise lost its initial intent? Where are the Turtles headed for the future? Twenty five years later, it would seem that the Turtles are due for a re-examination.

This article by an author writing as “Melodyfair” lists ten relatively little known trivia facts about July 4th, the date known as Independence Day to Americans who celebrate this day as a national holiday. It carries much significance because it was on this date back in 1776 that a few colonial radicals with some decidedly libertarian political leanings finally got fed up with the British government of the time and drafted a document known as the Declaration of Independence, which effectively severed political ties to Great Britain and created the foundation for the modern United States.

Since this is supposed to be a libertarian site (and one that is using the Independence Day theme, no less!), I would feel remiss if I did not take this opportunity to remind readers that the most important part of the Declaration of Independence is the idea that we actually have the right to alter or abolish our government in order to preserve our liberty. In a rather provocative posting from last year, Michael Hampton from Homeland Stupidity made a refreshingly radical call to do just that:

As you can see from the newsletter message below, we are not allowed to promote the program in a “get rich quick” kind of way, nor are we allowed to offer incentives for joining. However, I can say that I have been a member of their panel before, and found Ipsos to be one of the more reliable survey programs out there.

While it is true that taking Ipsos surveys is not intended to be a substitute for regular employment, you can still have some fun with it by having the opportunity to test a variety of products before they become available in retail stores. You can also provide your opinion about current products or advertisements, which has the potential to influence future offerings from major companies. If you would like to join, all you need to do is click on the little square banner in the upper left of this page (yes, it’s free) to reach the correct page on the Ipsos I-Say website.

It’s two days before Independence Day, but other than that, there is nothing most people will recognize as remarkable about this particular day. A certain percentage of the population, however, will instantly recognize the significance of July 2nd. It is, as any member of MUFON (Mutual UFO Network) or any believer in extraterrestrial life will tell you, World UFO Day, specifically the date of the infamous Roswell incident in 1947.

To that end, UFO enthusiasts and believers started the unofficial World UFO Day, a day on which participants should encourage their governments to disclose covered-up secrets concerning alien life. UFOlogists from around the world gather in Roswell every year during the Fourth of July weekend to meet and discuss this and other ideas concerning life from outer space and other planets. Yet, given the vast pop-culture influence Roswell has had on all sorts of mediums, it may be time for re-examination of just what happened on that day, and why so many encourage an international holiday devoted to “fessing up” about alien activity.

In the following paragraphs you will learn about each step of the process, from site selection and preparation, to choosing and arranging plants and keeping your edible landscape healthy and attractive. If you take action and apply this information, you will increase the value of your property, reduce your food budget, and turn your neighbors green with envy! Let’s get started!

The first thing you need to do is choose and prepare the site for your edible landscape. This depends on the characteristics of your property since sun exposure, soil drainage, and fertility must all be considered. Most fruits and vegetables need at least six hours of full sunlight per day. If your yard is well shaded, your plant choices might be limited to medicinal herbs and mushrooms. The ground must be properly prepared for planting, and loosening the soil to a depth of two feet while adding well-aged manure or weed-seed free compost is essential. If your edible landscape is taking the place of a lawn, you must kill off this section of turf or it will come up through your landscape. Sheet mulching or raised bed techniques are two good ways to do this. Make your edible landscape beds about 25 feet long by four to five feet wide. This allows you to reach all the plants when you are weeding the beds or harvesting the produce. Now that you’ve staked out a location for your edible landscape and prepared it properly, you are ready for the next step.

Treatment gels and creams are readily available without a prescription, but they are not always effective.

What Is a Verruca?

A verruca is a wart that is found on the soles of the feet. It will usually resemble a lump of hard tissue, and often has small black dots within it. This distinguishes it from a wart, which requires different treatment. For the most part, a verruca does not cause pain unless you have to put pressure on that area of the foot. Verrucae will sometimes appear in groups, especially if one verruca has spread across the foot.
