I got turned away from a club on Friday night...

When we arrived, the bouncer explained to me and the woman I was with "Its a gay night tonight".

We just smiled and agreed, sure, whatever.

"No, you don't understand, its a gay night. Men only. No girls."

And when I've a two line observation or thought I'd like to share, I seem to think "Well that's a bit weak, I'll wait till I've something a bit more substantial comes along". So nothing happens, and weeks go by without any updates...

First of all there was my fabulous friend Claires 30th birthday bash in which a kooky gang of her friends from the gay, fetish and trannie scenes all headed up to cosmopolitan Blackpool for a long weekend.

I seem to have fallen into a routine of fetish clubs and extended after parties which were fun and exciting to begin with, but are almost routine now. Over time I've become more and more aware of this, and I decided a while ago to keep my eyes open for new opportunities and experiences. A break would hopefully do me good and help me rediscover my enthusisam.

I also realised something which is possibly unique to my own particular set of circumstances....

Actually a few firsts happened over the bank holiday weekend.

I'd literally been looking forward to that weekend for months. But at the same time I was a little nervous too. You see my fab cool-as-can-be friend Alison is getting married in a few weeks to a great guy and Saturday was her hen do. Now sometimes when your close friends get married, you think "Oh my god!" and sometimes you think "Yay! That is so brilliant!". Well...
