I was so excited when Parker and Addison’s mom contacted me about doing a maternity and newborn session for them (you can see their maternity session here). It had been a few months since I had gotten to photograph twins. They were only an ounce difference between them, but their little personalities were so different!

Daddy is a pilot so this setup was an absolute must!!!

Daddy really liked this trunk of mine too. They looked so cute together on it!

Cooper’s mom contacted me after he had already arrived. I luckily had a spot available for him, and I am so glad I did. I just loved all his cute chubby features! His mom was a little worried since he was not the soundest of sleepers. I think she called me a baby whisperer like 50 times throughout the session. Haha!!

Cooper definitely gets the best middle name award. I always ask parents about middle names in case they end up wanting to order announcements. His mom kinda giggled, then told me his middle name was Danger. His Mom and Dad wanted him to be able to say, “my middle name is Danger” and perhaps be the coolest dude around when he is older!!

This was the first time I got to use the wagon… he looked SO cute in it!

Happy Mother’s Day {Sacramento Newborn | Maternity Photographer}

I just want to wish all Mothers a Very Happy Mother’s Day. Becoming a mother is such a selfless act. You are the heart, the sun, the moon, you are everything to at least one person. Your child. I hope you are all celebrating this day and enjoying it with your families.

I don’t have many pictures of just me and my mom. In fact I am having a hard time finding just one. My mom left this earth when I was 17 years old, and I miss her everyday. I encourage all new moms to take maternity pictures. I encourage all new moms, although you are beyond tired and the last thing you want to do is get in front of a camera. Take the picture. Take the picture with your brand new baby. It is a memory I wish I could look back on with my mom. I am so happy when I can create that image for others.

Little Hunter {Brentwood | Sacramento Newborn Photographer}

Hunter came to see me a while ago and did such a great job for his newborn session at 12 days new. I love when I get photograph these sweet babes when they are still in the tummy. You can see his parent’s maternity session here.

Doesn’t he look like such a sweet, little gentleman!?!

Hunter’s daddy loves to duck hunt so he brought in some of his duck calls and decoys for this fun set up. I see many father son hunting trips in his future!!!

Such a sweet little smile he gave me!

So cool how the blanket kinda looks like a heart <3

Just love to see little babies in their daddy’s hand. Can’t get much sweeter than this!

Hello Baby Tysen {Suisun City | Sacramento Newborn Photographer}

I happily and proudly offer military discount for newborn sessions. I love to give back a little to those that give so much to this country. Both of baby Tysen’s parents are active duty military- how amazing is that?!??!

His sister is excited to be a big sister and how cute is she?!

Mom and Dad are actually from Hawaii so we had to do a setup to pay tribute to their home…. they brought in the necklace, ukulele, leaf halo and just by chance the crate he in laying on is from Hawaii too (I bought it there for my beach newborn session last summer!).

Since mom and dad are in the Air Force they requested a plane set up and we went patriotic with those colors!!!

Lil’ Miracle, Phoenix {Sacramento Preemie Newborn Photographer}

So Phoenix is what I consider a little miracle. He was born at 26 weeks gestation and just 1 lb 15 oz. He had an almost 3 month stay in the NICU and is just as strong as can be. Preemies hold a special place in my heart with my hospital background. They are such strong, resilient little beings!!! Phoenix came to see me the day after he was discharged from the hosital!
Being that he was a little “older,” there was some awake time but we took advantage of it! Although he was more sensitive to touch, he slept most of the session!
He flashed a few smiles for me too.

Sweet Adalyn and her mommy came in for her session and we just had a good ol’ time. Her mommie kept saying “oh my gosh you have so much patience!” Yeah, I get that a lot ; -)

Her Mommie said her first costume growing up was Raggedy Ann… now it’s Adalyn’s too

So I am giving myself away with how behind I am with blogging by this post. Yes… I am blogging a session from October- I think the pumpkin gives it away This wonderful couple traveled from Brentwood for their outdoor maternity session with me. They were so awesome to work with and I just loved Lindey’s outfit choices (she brought extra and we did a quick fashion consultation in the parking lot- Haha!). I got to snuggle Mr. Jax when he was 12 days old. He was a full of love at 9 lbs 5 oz. and I loved all his chubby little feature

He took his pacifier away and look what he did… he showed us!

And then there is his beyond adorable older sister, Jada. While he was feeding we decided to have some fun too!

Big Raider fan. I mean Big Well Kenlie is the littlest biggest Raider fan….?!? Haha. Mom brought in some cute items to be photographed to show they are never too early to start being a fan! Kenlie was a petite little thing and was just a doll for me. Her nursery is also black and white….
