I found these gems together in the shop just waiting for a great spot in Lori’s new English Garden. Keep a look out for posting on Lori’s new front and back garden.

The client took classes offered in reducing water consumption in the garden. We were called in as consultants and hired to install the patio. To find out more about this program of getting your own landscape designer consult– contact LB Water Dept or check you monthly bill for process to sign up. Or call us to set an appointment.

Grass Alternative to your boring lawn

By removing sod and adding a flagstone patio with ground cover not only reduced the water bill but also added a seating area that made the garden more functionable. After the ground cover, Dymondia, is established the water can be cut back and eventually shut off. Best part — No weekly lawn service and little maintenance!

Katie came to see us with a large wish list for her garden. She wanted a biological pond with a seating area to read and relax. Plants that had texture and color but were low maintenance. And small covered patio with a fireplace for entertainng all on a tiny budget.

Alford’s English Gardens Inc started with a design and a plan. We broke her wish list into phases- we started with the pond– as you can see it is delightful!

We are now in second phase –new patio and arbor, next summer the last phase–the fireplace with natural gas. We will keep you posted on the progress.

Kiki’s cottage garden changes through out the year. With base plants such as white rose and white birch trees the garden has neutral tones allowing to change the look of the garden. Right now different hues of color brighten the garden. In the spring, we will add pastels of pink and purples and the garden will have a different look to match the seasons.
