Chances turned out to be pretty good. She has been in a ton of different movies and TV shows (Mad Men, anyone?) and his current gig is on NCIS LA. After I finished squealing and jumping up and down I promptly watched a bunch of the things they’ve been in, marveling that they somehow found me (thanks Gabe!!) and that I was going to get to photograph their wedding. Squeeeee!

Sarah and Eric are both so lovely and down to earth and fun to work with – we had an absolute blast at their wedding and were so honored to be a part of it all. On top of that, People Magazine, Brides.com and The Talk on CBS all ended up using my images – how cool is that?

A few of my favorites from their day -

Madeline’s father passed away, so her mother made these beautiful little photo charms of him for Madeline to carry on her bouquet.

A chuppah made by one of Madeline’s bridesmaids and a view of the ski resort. Not too shabby!

Madeline’s mother and aunts worked for hours and hours on these flowers – I’d say they have a future in floral design!

Another fun project that Madeline’s mother took on – she collected vintage dinner and dessert plates and saucers for six months to get enough to have a full service for the 150 person wedding.

Peter designed custom labels for their reception beverages, aren’t they cute?

Madeline’s engagement ring had been Peter’s grandmother’s – here’s his grandfather admiring it in its new home.

Some of my favorite portraits EVER. How gorgeous is she? And that LIGHT!!! It was a recipe for perfection.

Jeff & Rachael got married in an intimate ceremony at a private residence near Grand Teton National Park. They are awesome and hilarious and were so fun to work with – never before has the phrase ‘go get the love hatchet’ been uttered at a wedding I’ve attended.

I had been planning to do their first look over by an old fence on Mormon Row, but the buffalo had some other ideas.

I think we had a pretty good backup location though.  :)

Love these two images – that one on the left may just be my new favorite. There was just enough wind to be helpful.

Can you believe this pitchfork was just hanging on the building! I think I actually squealed a little when I saw it.

Ceremony time! Schwabacher’s Landing -

Everyone had been telling them that it could be rainy and swampy in June, so Amanda brought some Hunters to wear with her dress. They lucked out with a beautiful day, but the Hunters still got to be used for waterproof-ness.

They had Judge Terry Rogers come up from Jackson to perform their ceremony and I (along with an Inn employee) had the honor of being their witness. Emily wore a vintage dress that her sister found for her and her Frye boots – can’t question her style! They made her bouquet together out of vintage and thrifted brooches and pins that they had found over the past few months.
