Hello Kitty’s first jet took off from Taiwan in 2005 to cover the routes that connect Taiwan to Japan. Over the years, various customizations dedicated to other Sanrio characters have also been created, such as the Shining Star aircraft decorated with images of the Little Twin Stars or the Comfort Flight featuring Gudetama as the protagonist. The Eva Air planes made in collaboration with Sanrio are not just cute on the outside: all the interiors are also themed! Passengers can take a nap with cushions and blankets dedicated to Sanrio characters and eat with personalized cutlery and accessories. And obviously there are special gadgets that you can buy on board.

At the moment, the special Eva Air planes stop exclusively in Asia and in the United States: with the arrival of the airline in Italy we cannot but hope to see them land also in our country! On the official website of Eva Air you can consult all the daily routes available.

The Little Twin Stars sneakers are available in 3 models: two classic lace-ups, with prints on the whole shoe or only on the heel and bow-style laces, and a pair of two-coloured slip-ons with the characters embroidered on the toe. For all models it is possible to choose between two colours (white and pink) and 8 sizes, ranging from 34 to 41.

Aren’t sneakers right for you? No problem: on Elisa Litz’s online shop there is also a well-stocked section dedicated to Disney characters, with children’s shoes, ballerina flats and accessories. Prices are very affordable and are around 60 euros for each pair of shoes (excluding shipping), with a promotion that allows you to buy two pairs for just over 80 euros and free shipping (we remind you, however, that the shoes are often subject to customs). The plot

Hodaka Morishima is a high school student who lives alone in Tokyo after running away from home. In the capital, he begins to work for a magazine dedicated to the occult and ends up investigating the causes of the strange rain that has been falling on the city. He thus meets Hina Amano, a girl of his age who lives with her younger brother and who possesses a strange power: she can stop the rain and bring back the sun.

If you liked Your Name (we loved it!) You can’t miss the new animated masterpiece by Makoto Shinkai, out in Italian cinemas, only for three days, distributed by Nexo Digital. Weathering with You was the highest grossing movie of the year in Japanese cinemas, so much so that it was chosen to represent Japan as the best foreign film at the upcoming Academy Awards. San-x “organized” monthly planners

If you are one of those who always have a thousand tasks to remember, these San-x schedule books are for you! Sanrio weekly planner with incorporated bookmark

We like this type of planner a lot for two reasons: it has a monochrome and minimal cover that almost makes us look like serious people and has an adorable “bookmark” with Cinnamoroll, My Melody and Hello Kitty that pop up from the edge of the page. Inside, there is also a second “secret” bookmark. The planner is also weekly and pocket-sized, a format that we have always liked a lot for its practicality..

The planners with the outer pocket

We have some doubts about the actual convenience of this idea, but we find adorable the final effect of the cover! These two monthly planners by Rilakkuma and Sumikko Gurashi are in fact equipped with a transparent outer pocket that can hold small accessories. We especially like the Sumikko Gurashi version, which transforms the blue pocket into the water where the various characters bathe.

The perpetual plush table calendar

We have always liked a lot perpetual calendars, although we would never remember to change the date every day. For the coming year and for those to come, Sanrio has made some calendars entirely plushy: both the container and the dices with the dates are made of fabric. Aren’t they adorable?

Two useful and original accessories

Among the many accessories that we can find on the Sanrio and San-x websites, we chose the two that more than any other made us exclaim “nice idea!”. The first one is a very useful multi-purpose ruler by Rilakkuma and Sumikko Gurashi: as well as helping us to take measurements and underline, it also turns into a bookmark and a convenient sticky sheets dispenser. The other accessory is an elastic to close your planner with built-in pen holder and head of a Sanrio characters: it takes up a lot of space in the bag, but it’s so cute!

Japanese backpacks have a very specific name: randoseru, a term that derives from the Dutch word meaning backpack. It is the inseparable companion of children who attend elementary schools and, unfortunately for us, it is also quite expensive: the price can even be hundreds of euros! Those designed by Disney are no exception. The four models proposed in fact cost 560 Euro (yes, you read that right!) and are available only by reservation on the Japanese Disney Store.

The cost is justified by the very accurate design and the attention to functionality: after all, the randoseru are destined to last for all 6 years of Japanese elementary school. The beautiful exterior decorations with holographic effect reproduce the silhouette of Ariel and Rapunzel, with details that recall the symbols of the princesses. The backpack is also equipped with comfortable pockets, adjustable straps with metal buckles, a safety closure, a rain bag, spare parts and a school calendar. And the colours are one more beautiful than the other!

We must admit we are very envious of Japanese girls who will go to school with these backpacks! Would you have liked to wear them?

The collection includes 6 different boxes, each containing a trunk section and one or two characters. The cutest aspect of these Re-ment is that they are modular: they can be placed one on top of the other to create two trees connected by a small bridge of lianas (which can also be used as a ladder). Isn’t it simply adorable?

The Rilakkuma forest by Re-ment will be on sale in Japan starting from August 5th. We will keep an eye on Modes4u because it is always well-stocked with Re-ment, hoping to be able to bring home a complete set.

Don’t you spend your days browsing the stationery hashtag on Instagram? We explain to you then what are Mildliners. They are double-pointed highlighter markers (chiselled on one side and rounded on the other) characterized by soft and delicate colours. The complete collection includes 25 colour variations and a new line of brush Mildliner has recently been released. Needless to say, they are among the most beloved markers of stationery and bullet journal fans, both for their unique colours and for they minimal and very “Instagrammable” packaging.

The collaboration between Mildliner and Sanrio includes 6 different sets of three markers, which can also be purchased separately, dedicated to the most popular characters of the brand: Hello Kitty, Gudetama, Cinnamoroll, My Melody, Little Twin Stars and Pompompurin. It is not the first time that Sanrio and Zebra have made a special edition of this kind. The peculiarity in this case is that the colours in each set (already included in the main collection) reflect the official colours of the characters, so that Zebra invites you to use markers to draw the illustrations on the packages.

Where to buy? Unfortunately, it is not easy to find the new Sanrio customized versions of Mildliners outside of Japanese stores. But we can console ourselves with the classic Zebra Mildliners: on Amazon you can find both the complete set and the single packs of 3 or 5 markers at very affordable prices. Which are the pens/markers that are always in your pencase?

Woody’s fourth adventure begins with a flashback: Andy is still a kid and his toys have just successfully completed one of the usual daring missions. Their joy, however, does not last long because Andy’s family decides to get rid of the shepherdess Bo Peep, much to Woody’s sadness. Nowadays, Andy’s toys have adapted to their life with new owner Bonnie, who has just (literally) made herself a new best friend: Forky, a spork with serious identity crises. When Forky gets lost on a family trip, Woody goes to the rescue just to find an antique shop inhabited by creepy dolls and his old flame Bo Peep.

The Toy Story film saga is one of those rare cases in which sequels are good as much as the original (or even better). The credit goes to the authors’ ability to write tailor-made stories for their viewers, children at the time of the first film (Toy Story was released in 1995) and now adults who may have even started a family. Despite being officially a children’s movie, Toy Story also speak to the older ones, especially to those who grew up with the characters and still remember vividly the moment when they said goodbye to their childhood.

And now it’s time for Woody to come to terms with the passing of time. Our favorite cowboy, in fact, is not so happy in his new home, as Bonnie prefers to play with other toys. So he has to decide what to do with his life: stay connected to a past that will never return or grow up and look to the future? It is a dilemma that we all experienced on our skin, one way or another, including Andy in Toy Story 3 when, in that tear-jerking scene we all remember, he decided to say goodbye to his favorite toy.

Obviously, before arriving at the “teardrop moment” (which is now a trademark for every Pixar film worthy of respect) there are so many hilarious moments that have as protagonists new characters that will not make you feel the lack of Buzz, Jessie and company, relegated to a more marginal role. We will get to know, among others, Gabby Gabby, a doll ready to do anything to finally feel loved, the Canadian stuntman with low self-esteem Duke Caboom and of course of Forky, the toy fork with existential crises that had already conquered us during trailers. It’s really hard to choose our favorite new entry because they are all great!

If you are among those who have not yet seen Toy Story 4, we remind you to bring a packet of handkerchiefs with you: you will need it on more than one occasion! Although many of us had already said goodbye to Woody, Buzz and friends in Toy Story 3, it is a joy to find them for this new (last?) adventure that once again reminds us that growing up is difficult, but it makes us fly to infinity and beyond.
