Actor James Gandolfini (Tony Soprano) Dead at 51

One of the most recognizable faces on television has passed away. James Gandolfini better known as Tony from HBO's hit series The Sopranos died this morning in Italy. According to sources Gandolfini was there vacationing and planning to attend the 59th Taormina Film Festival in Sicily when he apparently suffered a heart attack.

Celebrities and fans alike have shared their condolences for the loss of an actor who was almost too good in his role on the show. Fans of The Sopranos swore by him and his ability to really make his role as a street boss believable. He won three Emmys for his character on the show. Though we're saying goodbye to him, his career will live on through the show he was hugely responsible for making successful.

Gandolfini was 51 yrs. old, and the new father of a daughter born late last year. He is survived by his her, his wife, and a teenage son. May he rest in love.

Gallest Performs London Show- Rihanna Comes out to Support

Gallest is probably most known as the sibling of one of the biggest artists to ever exist, but to many who have paid closer attention, he's a stand alone artist in his own right. A few months ago I featured his mixtape entitled "In My Mind" as an introduction for many to the his music. The mixtape laced with covers of some of music's most jammed to records of last year impressed thousands catipulting our understanding of just who Gallest the artist is.

This past weekend, I'm sure dude felt like a million bucks as he performed at London's Boujis club with his family and friends there to root him on. Rih who is currently on tour made sure to promote her big little brother by tweeting out some encouraging words:
"#SellAwf @rorreyfenty We gon be there getting ratch nasty wit you!",
the 25 yr. old blasted to fans as only she could. According to reports Rih was the loudest in the building cheering on her bro. Not surprised- her admiration for her two brothers has always been obvious. The feedback on twitter was very clear- he shut his show down!!

Gallest credits Jay Z and Outkast among his musical influences. Their versitility and word play inspire his creativity. One listen to his flow and you can tell this guy is the real deal. His lyricism and the way he rides the beat are both signs of someone honing their craft. What I can really appreciate is his desire to work his way through it on his own. With In My Mind still jamming on playlists all around the world- hip hop heads are buzzing about what he has to offer. Keep an ear out for more to come from him! Jay Z & Samsung Make the Rules with New Album Magna Carta Holy Grail Out July 4th!

Seriously. What do you do when you've done it all? You do it over again, but like it's never been done before. This is making the Blueprint.. the pattern to follow... this has been Jay Z's way for as long as I- a die hard fan-can remember. So, I was not surprised to learn this past week that he had something major up his sleeve with Samsung. When the press release subtly made it's way around the internet I was buzzed to find out just what IT was going to be.

Well, here we have it ladies and gents. The guy has teamed up with some of his favorite producer friends for- AN ALBUM! Tonight during the NBA Finals, Samsung showed out by airing a really dope commercial featuring Jay and his buddies. Jay, Rick Rubin, Pharrell, Timbo, & Swizz Beats were in a studio, all clowning around about this new music he's set to release. The commercial unfolds like a mini documentary. A few seconds in and boom.. you see Samsung's pitch "The next big thing"... this is major.. MAJOR!

Samsung has basically pre purchased 1 million copies of Jay Z's new album out July 4th- Magna Carta Holy Grail. Samsung will basically give those copies away just days before the album is available for purchase via their app. This is genius for many reasons. First of all... it's a really cool way for Samsung to show off, and Jay wins as well. He's a visionary in this video- this is very well thought out. Consider what this will be for Jay in sales before his album is even released! Consider what this will do for Samsung in their plight to compete with Apple's ever evolving reach for cultural dominance.

LISTEN! I love my fave for these types of moves. He's ten steps ahead of your favorite rapper- call him a mogul for a reason. Magna Carta Holy Grail July 4th. Break the rules. Make the rules. BOOM!

Bizarre News: Eyeball licking causes pink eye in Japan

A new trend among school aged children in Japan is grossing us all out, eyeball licking! Also known as "worming" or oculolinctus, the fetish has existed for a long time but videos on YouTube have popped up recently, showing people engaging in the act.

The act of licking one's eyeball is popular among teens and elementary school students. UK newspaper The Guardian reported a Japanese music video from a band called Born features an eyeball licking scene that supposedly sparked the trend. Medical doctors say the eyeballs could have erogenous zones due to the amount of nerves, so that's why it feels good to them.

Before you consider trying this, know that eyeball licking comes with risks. It is easy to spread bacteria from the tongue in the eye, the kind that causes conjunctivitis (pink eye). When infected with germs, the clear lining inside the eyelid and the white of the eye gets inflamed leaving a pink color. There's also the risk of scratching the eye that could trap bacteria and cause a whole host of problems.

She arguable has one of the most recognizable and beautiful voices of all time. Even if you can't pronounce her name- you know her jams. You sing along to "Tell me if you want me to, give you all my time...", her 90s jam with Groove Theory, or "you're the only other half that makes me whole", one of the best love/wedding songs ever recorded. Amel Larrieux's voice happens to feel like a breeze against your face in really hot weather.

Amel has been in the industry forever. She's one of those artists who other singers adore for her presence on a track. Her voice is light- it reminds me of a butterfly that gently lands on a flower. It's just beautiful. This is why I'm SO glad that she's back at it with her brand new single, Afraid. I'm SO happy that this gorgeous person is still making music. Timeless music at that. I'd encourage you to go get her albums if your playlists feel empty. If they are missing some heart and soul.. get AMEL!

#HistoRih in the Making: Rihanna is at it Again

The above photo is of a stadium sold out to capacity at about 80 thousand people. There are only a few living artists who can do this on their own. You'd expect this type of crowd from someone with a long career, a billion records, and at least someone who has made it out of their twenties right?

Well, no. This crowd came for a 25 yr. old chic from the left side of Barbados. Yes..our girl Rih Rih is currently strutting across the globe throwing stadium parties with her Navy. I mean, that is basically how Rihanna tours. She makes sure to meet fans, talk to them, exchange gifts, sneak kisses from their kids. It's literally a big family reunion for her and her Navy.

It's also just another moment for the 25 year old mega star to solidify her place in music historih. From the looks of her career, she wakes up to make historih. This past weekend she performed in front of a sold out stadium of 80 thousand fans. EIGHTY THOUSAND people there.. just to see her.

The Stade de France performance was marked as historical because Rihanna joins the ranks of only two other black artists to headline it...and check out the line up. She's rubbing shoulders with Prince and Tina Turner!!!!! Legendary!

The historih doesn't stop there. Rihanna is also the youngest artist to headline the event. I swear this girl makes this look easy.

The Navy in my twitter timeline took a moment to go back down memory lane. Some of them, like Shayla has been Navy from the beginning. She tweeted me that she remembers her first concert- a club show Rihanna did. She still has pictures and all.

It's amazing to see Rihanna's fan base so devoted. It's so great to see them growing with her. It's great that they can see someone go from a supposed "one hit wonder" from the Island of Barbados to world superstar status. I'm here for it. Go offf Rih!!!!

Fan hit in head by Miguel at Billboard Awards may have brain damage

It was the crash landing none of us will soon forget. The woman that was hit by singer Miguel after he leaped over a crowd at this year's Billboard Music Awards suffered a pretty bad head injury. Now it is reported that the impact may have caused brain damage.

Audience member Khyati Shah was among the crowd at the awards show in Las Vegas when Miguel came short of making the jump from the main stage to another section in front of the pit. Miguel struck her head with his right thigh and the blow made Shah's head hit the stage. After his performance, Shah and Miguel did an interview and he held an ice pack on her elbow then tweeted, "Got caught up in moment, thank goodness Khyati is okay."

Now it seems Shah's head injury is more serious than we all thought because she suffered from symptoms consistent with brain damage, according to a report by TMZ. Shah's lawyer told TMZ that some of the difficulties are cognitive in nature and lead to suspicion of a neurological head injury. He also said that Billboard execs should have sent Shah to a hospital instead of offering a simple ice pack.

As Shah and her lawyer wait for results from a neurology test this week or next, it will determine if she will proceed with a lawsuit. Shah's lawyer has not spoken to Miguel's lawyers but told TMZ he is open to a settlement.

When Wale set out to record a remix to his hit record- Bad, it was only right that he got the baddest in the game to hop on it with him. While most people can't wait to accuse Rihanna of sleeping with anybody she's seen with- Wale made sure to clear up over the weekend that he and Rih are just friends who worked together on this record. The slow jam is just what you'd expect from these two.

Wale has done his homework. He's got Rih down to a tee in his rhymes and Rih is representing as well. I love how Wale speaks about everything from Rih's tough bad girl persona to how tight her crew is. A good MC does his homework. I'm diggin this Rihmix. It's available on iTunes right now. Beyonce Performs Grown Woman Live at Chime for Change- (Full Video)

Yessss Bey!! Queen Carter performed her new jump off Grown Woman this past Saturday at London's Chime for Change. The event is an initiative by Gucci to promote better lives for women everywhere. So, needless to say this song was perfect to perform.

Bey looks and sounds amazing as always. She's just Beyonce, not much more needs to be said. Grown Woman is said to be off of Bey's next album. Not sure when it's dropping but the new mommy is touring the world right now and dodging more pregnancy rumors with her hubby Jay Z by her side.

Kim Kardashian reveals she and Kanye are expecting a Girl!

Last night Kim confirmed that she and Kanye are expecting a girl!! It seems like Kim has been pregnant for a while and it's been a very memorable pregnancy. What's been a little hush is whether the power couple is having a boy or a girl. A while ago a mysterious baby shower invite popped up online that clearly suggested that Kim was expecting a girl, but until last night no one knew for sure.

During the premiere of her family show- Keeping up With the Kardashians, Kim revealed the news.
"I'm so excited I'm having a girl, I know that's really what Kanye wants. He wanted a little girl." Kim said. That's so cute! I know Kanye is excited even though he's not as vocal in public as Kim is about their baby.

So cool! You may remember that Kim and Kanye requested that friends and family don't buy gifts for their little girl. They asked that donations be made to a Chicago Children's Hospital instead. I'm here for it. Congrats again to Kanye and Kim.

Being born with a silver spoon in your mouth is a blessing. Having the drive anyway to add to that empire, well that's even more of a blessing. Thats exactly what Reginae Carter daughter of rapper Lil Wayne and NY Times Best Selling Author Toya Wright, along with Bria Williams daughter of Cash Money co-founder Bryan "Birdman" Williams are doing.

The 14 yr. old cutie pies are accustomed to the limelight. Fancy things, traveling all over the world, and all other perks that come with being the daughters of celebrities. It's not always peaches and cream, I'm sure the two little ladies have had their struggles in dealing with the pressures that come with that life as well. Thankfully they have a huge support system in their parents. Considering the work ethic that Toya has, I wasn't surprised at all to see Reginae and Bria starting their money making habits early. I love the route they decided to take to do so- becoming authors.

Their book, Paparazzi Princesses follows the lives of two girls similar to Bria and Reginae. Kyla and Promise face the reality of being born famous- among the other pressures teens face daily. The two friends figure their way through peer pressure, boys, school woes, and even each other. We'll see if these characters are able to manage themselves as well as Bria and Reginae have managed to in real life.

Again, while I'm not surprised that these little ladies are getting to the money already on their own, I really LOVE that it's through authorship. What a cool idea for 14 yr. old girls to express themselves through creative writing! I'm sure this book will be a best seller. Notches under the belt already. Go Reginae and Bria! The two are on a huge press run right now, the book is set to be released June 4th!

Kelly recently released the emotional Dirty Laundry that practically took over the blogosphere for it's controversial lyrics. Kelly seems to be very open and grown on this album. When Fans go TOO FAR: Fan Slaps Beyonce's Butt

Yes, you read that correctly. SMH! Mrs. Carter was a bit taken aback when a fan got too excited during her Copenhagen show. As the singer was singing her hit record Irreplaceable, she walked along the front of the stage as she often does shaking hands and what not. At some point, a fan decided to take a chance.. a huge chance!

Beyonce's bum is well loved all over the world and I'm sure many people would love to cop a feel, but to actually attempt is a bit much you'd think. Not according to this fan who stretched their arm out to do just that. Crazy right?! Well, Bey thought so, she stopped and responded to the fan in front of the huge crowd:

I will have you escorted out right now, alright?

Listen! I don't know what possessed this fan to even TRY it, but she shut that down immediately. You don't want it with Bey, and you most certainly don't want it with Jay over Bey.

This isn't the first time I've seen fans go too far. Just recently Rihanna was scrutinized for moving a fan's hand off of her as she tried to pry her way through a crowd. It's obscene! Everybody is allowed their personal space, and no matter how close you feel to a celebrity you have to respect that.

Marking the start of tornado season, a mile-wide tornado with winds up to 200 mph killed at least 51 people Monday afternoon across southern Oklahoma City and its suburbs, according to news reports.

A story by USA Today said the state medical examiner's office confirmed the number of deaths, saying the toll was expected to rise. Extreme damage was reported in Moore, where two elementary schools were destroyed including one that took a direct hit, USA Today reported. Several children were pulled alive from the rubble of Plaza Towers Elementary School but there were no reports of rescues or casualties at Briarwood Elementary.

Hospitals have reported treated at least 120 injured, including about 70 children, some from Plaza Towers. Majority of patients being treated at Integris Southwest Medical Center were in critical condition. The OU Medical Center was treating 20 patients, including eight children. More than 60 patients were being treated at Norman Regional Medical Center, some in critical condition, said a hospital spokeswoman.

The preliminary rating of the tornado that hit Moore at 3:17 p.m. CT is at least an EF-4, which means speeds from 166 to 200 mph, the National Weather Service said. The NWS in Norman said a tornado warning was in effect Monday afternoon for 16 minutes before the twister developed. Earlier in the day, Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas and Missouri - also known as Tornado Alley - had been under a tornado watch. On Sunday, another high-powered tornado left two people dead in Oklahoma as one of 24 reports of tornadoes in five states.

Rescue crews are working hard to find survivors that are trapped in their homes. Gov. Mary Fallin declared an emergency for 16 Oklahoma counties. The threat of twisters comes less than a week after tornadoes left six dead, dozens injured and hundreds of homes destroyed in Texas and just shy of the two-year anniversary of the Joplin, Missouri, twister.

Paparazzi Gets TOO close to Rihanna & Disses Chris Brown to her- Hear her response

You know what? I need there to be some sort of distance law for papz. This is insane. The above video gives you a few moments in the life of one of the biggest stars on the planet right now. Rihanna is simply leaving an airport and the mayhem is crazy. Rih is attempting to walk to her vehicle, shielding her face from the bright camera flashes and trying to navigate her way through the obsessive crowd who are all too close in my opinion.

Let's say someone really was obsessed and wanted to harm her... this video shows how easy that would've been. Along with the crazy closeness some of them were bold enough to speak out to Rih. One fan gives her a full out performance which is hilarious, but a little exaggerated. Another person who sounds like a pap I've heard taunting celebs before yells out to Rihanna numerous times about how she's glad she dropped Chris and how he sucks!

What was Rihanna's response to all of this? A simple, "Calm down.", as she enters her car with a calm I can't understand in such a situation. Celebs of late have been in more danger than ever due to these types of crowds. Not just physically. I wouldn't doubt that with what seems to be a break up between Rih and Chris in the public eye, that this is hard for Rih to have to face. No woman wants to be yelled at about her personal life like that.. ever.

This video just doesn't sit well with me. Sucks celebs have to endure this. There is no making sense of it.

New Music: @KellyRowland's "Dirty Laundry"

I can't explain how much I felt this record. Kelly Rowland is probably most known for being Beyonce's right hand girl in the infamous girl group Destinys Child. Kelly is the only original member that stuck through the highly publicized drama that the group has endured over the years. With some success of her own under her belt, the world probably assumed that she of all of the changing members had it the easiest, Kelly is now making it clear- she didn't.

This new single, Dirty Laundry from her upcoming album, Talk a Good Game -reveals to fans a side of Kelly that no one in the public saw coming. She is very VERY forthcoming and honest about her feelings towards Beyonce's heightened success after the dismantling of the group- but more important in my opinion is her admission to struggling through an abusive relationship.

While the jury is still out on just who this abuser was, it is very clear that the beautiful Kelly Rowland has been THROUGH IT! The song details this person driving a wedge between Kelly and Bey, all while physically, and verbally abusing the songstress.

Kelly has kept this all a secret until now. Hopefully the world/media will look at this record for what it is, and that is her walking in her truth and prayerfully helping someone else to identify with their own situation and get help. I'm sure this song will become more about her admission of feeling some kind of way about Bey's success more than it will be about her fight through domestic violence, but that's the world we live in.

I love Kelly for this. I think it's beautifully written and revealing. I hope it frees her and any other person who hears it in a similar situation. What a heavy load to carry all of this time, and with so much grace. I think that's the point of the song. You never know what these celebs are going through... you never know. Salute to The Dream for helping Kelly get free of some of what she's been holding on to. Go Kelly!!! What do you guys think?!

You get to see how excited she is to develop this line, and her reasons for creating it as she has. Her crew was most of her inspiration because they are so diverse in taste and style. Rih also has put her bff Melissa on by using some of her infamous photography as graphics.

Rihanna designed things that she wants to wear and hopes that everybody else will want to wear it too. She's such a hard working girl, and she always stays fresh while doing it. Her selective muted floral prints, and light textured clothes are all very sexy and rock and roll inspired of course. Her line gives off the same juxtaposing aura as she does-part lady, part sex symbol, part rockstar- all of that makes up Rih and her line.

Why Kanye West and Kim Kardashian Are Refusing Baby Gifts

Yes, you read that right, they don't want any gifts. The couple is asking that well wishers donate to the Lurie Chicago Children's Hospital instead. Amazingly sweet. This is a way for baby Kimye to give to children who aren't as rich, even before she gets here!! This is very sweet. I love it. Such a great read for me. I'm excited for baby Kimye to get here and what a sweet gesture by Kim and Yeezy!

Matt Kemp Unaware His Random Act of Kindness was Recorded (Touching Video)

If you know me, you know that I don't really do much baseball. You also know that Matt Kemp is my boo in my head and we go wayyyyyyy back. Most of us love Matt because he's a great baseball player. He's nothing to mess with when he's on. Others of us just love the fact that he's darn near perfect to look at. Well, here's another reason to adore the Dodgers star.

Sunday during the game, Steve Jones a father of a cancer stricken young man Joshua Jones had a brief conversation with Dodgers Third Base Coach Tim Wallach. He told Tim that his son was very sick, and unable to speak but that he's a huge Dodgers fan, and his favorite player of all time is Matt Kemp.

Wallach brought the two a baseball as a gift, but the Dodger love didn't end there. As the game ended Matt Kemp is video'd walking up to the boy and his father. He reaches over the rail to shake hands, but instead the boy hands him a baseball. Matt signs it, and then in an act that only a true fan would see the real value in- Matt disrobes. He takes off his infamous number 27 Dodgers jersey, and hands it to the boy. Then he removes his cleats, and does the same thing.

The father shakes Matt's hand again and it may just be me, but I swear I saw a smile in the young man's eyes as his favorite baseball player of all time gave him most of his uniform.

There's more to love about this story. Matt woke up yesterday morning to this story being all over the place- according to him, it was meant to be a private moment:

I didn't know that anybody was filming it, I wasn't aware.
It's just something I felt probably would have cheered him up a little bit, help him out a little bit. I just did it.Hopefully that made that kid's day.

Matt explained Tuesday. His random act of kindness that most likely enhanced this boy's life and made his father feel so proud, was not done to be seen by the world. Three Ohio women, missing for a decade, found alive!

Three women who went missing at different times about 10 years ago were found alive Monday in a residential area south of downtown Cleveland and three suspects are in police custody, according to news reports. It's something that countless people have prayed for, families and friends never gave up searching for them, and it's great news coming out of Ohio!

Police didn't provide many details of how the women were found, but said they appeared to be in good health and taken to a hospital for evaluation. Cheering crowds gathered Monday night on the street near the home where police said Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight (no photo available) were found earlier in the day, blocks from where they disappeared.

Berry disappeared at age 16 on April 21, 2003, when she called her sister to say she was getting a ride home from her job at a Burger King. DeJesus went missing at age 14 on her way home from school about a year later. Police said Knight was 20 when she went missing around the year 2000.

Cleveland police say the suspects, including Ariel Castro, a hispanic 52-year-old former bus driver, are awaiting charges that could come in the next 24-36 hours. Some quick background on the missing women -- In January, a prison inmate was sentenced to 4 1/2 years after admitting he provided a false burial tip in Berry's disappearance, who was last seen the day before her 17th birthday. A Cleveland judge sentenced Robert Wolford on his guilty plea to obstruction of justice, making a false report and making a false alarm. Last summer, Wolford tipped authorities to look for Berry's remains in a Cleveland lot. He was taken to the location, which was dug up with backhoes.

Two men arrested for questioning in the disappearance of DeJesus in 2004 were released from the city jail in 2006 after officers did not find her body during a search of the men's house. One man went to county jail on unrelated charges and the other was released. In September 2006, police acting on a tip tore up the concrete floor of the garage and used a cadaver dog. Investigators took evidence. No Amber Alert was issued the day DeJesus failed to return home from school in April 2004 because no one witnessed her abduction.

Charles Ramsey, a neighbor who found the missing girls inside the house, is being hailed as a hero. Ramsey found one of the women waving her arm out of a window and screaming for help. Ramsey ran to the house and helped the women escape and Amanda Berry made the 911 call for help. Check out Ramsey's interview with reporters:

There are several questions (like, how was this man/men able to keep these women locked up for nearly a decade? Were they held in bondage as sex slaves?), and they will surely be answered as the case unfolds. Charles Ramsey and Cleveland were trending topics on Twitter. As a Cleveland native who remembered when Berry and DeJesus disappeared, this makes me so happy and grateful to God for keeping His hands on these women! Let us all keep them and their families in our prayers.
