Morning MOPS at Graceway

Feel like just an ordinary mom? Far from it, sister! No matter how many kids you have, if you work, stay-at-home, are married or single, MOPS empowers you to link arms with other moms and journey together through motherhood. MOPS groups meet twice per month.

What you can expect this year at Graceway MOPS

Due to COVID-19, there are changes for Morning MOPS this year. Currently, there is no childcare available due to Graceway’s building being closed.  The first Morning MOPS meeting begins on September 9th. Meetings will occur on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month. The group will rotate monthly meetings between virtual and in a table leader’s home and meetings will happen in the evening from 7:00-8:30 pm. A membership fee of $31.95 applies to cover the costs of the MOPS packet.

Is childcare provided?

There is no childcare available due to Graceway’s building being closed.

Is financial assistance available?

You have the ability to do big things. We want to help you gain the confidence to use your voice to change your world.

Honest Conversation

Real talk is liberating. It frees us from assumptions that we are alone in our struggles. We value taking a risk and sharing your story in order to heal someone else from their isolation.

Relevant Teaching

Really, who needs another tutorial on how to make crepe paper flowers? What we provide is mommy friends who get you, hope-filled insight, and speakers who know we’ve only had three hours of uninterrupted sleep last night so they better keep it interesting.

Creative Activities

Create, imagine, and actually finish a project. We occasionally like to have something “pinteresty” (Yes, that is a made up word. Work with me here.) to make at our meetings. We all need a little time to indulge in a creative endeavor.

Childcare

Look, we all love our kids, but let’s be honest: a little break now and then makes us want to be with them even more. We provide a preschool-style experience for your kiddos that they will love going back to.

We’ve asked the teachers what items would be most beneficial and we have compiled the list below. Choose items from this list and drop them in one of the collection boxes, located in the lobby, the entire month of July.

Dear Youth Soccer Parents and coaches,

Thank you for your ongoing faithfulness to the sports ministries of Graceway. We deeply appreciate your patience and understanding as we monitored the viability of launching a summer/fall Youth Soccer league during this pandemic. Unfortunately our enrollments have been extremely low (only 50% compared to last year) and new cases of Covid 19 are up. These indicators have led us to make a decision not to move forward with this year’s youth soccer season.

We do look forward to serving you again for next year’s Youth Soccer season, and will send out a reminder email when the 2021 season opens for sign ups.

About the League

Our league provides a kid-friendly environment where players are taught the fundamentals of the sport and basic life skills. We guarantee that every child plays, offer a state of the art sports facility, promise no fundraisers, and a schedule that accommodates busy families. All coaches and officials have passed a background check.

League fee includes jersey and socks, field equipment, and field use. Players will be responsible to provide shorts, shin guards, and cleats. Soccer balls will be provided for practices and games. Requests for coaches and/or teammates are not guaranteed. Teams are co-ed.

Practices start July 14th with games beginning August and last games played first weekend of October.
All practices and games are played at Zimmerman Park 8621 E 55th St, KC, MO 64129

Meet the Coach & first practice nights will be Tuesday, July 14 and Thursday, July 16, 2020

Morning Group – There is currently no cost for the morning group. Fundraisers are available throughout the year to cover the MOPS membership fee.
